Note: We've seen various Star Fox crossovers, but this one will be a little different. In fact, it's a crossover between Star Fox and a cartoon that you never thought would be meeting the characters from the franchise: The Raccoons! Odd idea, I know, but it's something I had on my mind. Anyway, let's get this party started!
Chapter 1: A Portal
It was a normal day on Corneria. That was until a portal opened up in Corneria City. Alarmed, the citizens got into contact with General Pepper. In response, the hound dog got into contact with Star Fox, asking them to come down to Corneria City to investigate. Once they got there, the team exited their Arwings. However, Fox and Falco approached the portal with caution, with Peppy, Slippy and Krystal doing research on it at Slippy's Arwing, Krystal having taken a picture of the portal the moment the team arrived.
"Be careful, guys!" Slippy warned.
"Why?" Falco asked.
"Is the portal dangerous?" Fox asked.
"No," Krystal answered, "but it shows up every ten-to-twelve years. The portal in question not only leads to a separate star system, but it takes you back in time."
"Weird," Peppy stated, "I'be heard rumors about this portal, but I always thought that it was a myth."
"Thought that what was a myth?"
The team turned around and saw that Star Wolf was near them. Wolf approached the portal, while Panther was standing near Peppy. Leon, who was behind Wolf, looked at the portal with curiosity and amazement.
"What are you guys doing here?" Fox asked.
"Well, seeing as you're here, I figured that I might as well come here with my team as well." Wolf answered.
"Where did this portal even come from?" Leon asked.
"We were going to assume that it was a remnant from those Aparoid creeps," Falco answered, "but Krystal told us that it can take you back in time and take you to a different star system."
"Can it really?" The chameleon asked, grinning as he thought about what he would do if he went through the portal.
"Apparently so." Fox said.
Wolf went over to Peppy, Slippy, Krystal and Panther, looking at Krystal in particular.
"Krystal, honey, can I ask you something?" He asked.
"What is it?" Krystal looked at him.
"Considering how you know what this portal is," Wolf spoke, "why not go through it?"
"Are you nuts?!" Slippy cried.
"We don't even know where the portal leads!" Peppy protested.
"It leads to the Solar System," Krystal stated, "but the date changes every time the portal resurfaces."
"With that being said, come on!" Wolf said as he took Krystal over to the portal.
Fox, Falco and Leon were still looking at the portal, not noticing Wolf approaching it with Krystal. The one-eyed lupine stopped in his tracks, facing the portal with the cobalt vixen.
"Yo Wolf, what's up?" Falco asked.
"Why, I'm just getting a closer look at the portal." Wolf answered.
"What are you doing with Krystal?" Fox asked, his face showing concern and anger.
"Relax," the one-eyed lupine said, "Krystal and I are just getting a closer look at the portal."
"Well, you won't be looking for long!" Peppy told them.
"Yeah, we need to close that thing!" Slippy stated.
Wolf ignored him, walking closer to the portal with Krystal. The one-eyed lupine looked at it with intrigue and curiosity, while the cobalt vixen looked at it with caution.
"Doesn't anyone want to see what's on the other side?" Wolf asked, turning his attention to Krystal. "What about you, sweetie?"
"I admit, it would be interesting," Krystal spoke, "but, even if I don't have doubts about the air being safe enough to breathe in, I don't think -"
"Well, check it out!" The one-eyed lupine said. "Go ahead and make everyone proud!"
Wolf then pushed Krystal into the portal. This caused him to be met with shocked looks from everyone, except Leon. In fact, Leon didn't look surprised, almost looking annoyed.
"Well," Wolf said to Fox, "looks like you aren't seeing the girl again, Fox."
With shock turning into anger, Fox punched Wolf across the face, following it up with a roundhouse kick. Before he could land another hit, the orange tod was grabbed by the one-eyed lupine. Before his rival could attack, the younger man grabbed his fist and glared at him.
"What the hell, Wolf?!" Fox growled. "You threw your own daughter through a portal!"
"Oh," Wolf snarled, "don't act like you're the better man here, Fox! You don't deserve her!"
The two began to violently shove at each other, occasionally tackling like they were wrestling. Both the vulpine and the lupine were near the portal, nearly going through it themselves.
"I don't deserve Krystal?!" Fox screamed with rage. "How can someone who isn't perfect father material say that I can't like his daughter?!"
"Guys, stop!" Slippy ran over to the two.
"We can go get Krystal, so stop!" Falco shouted.
"Get away from the portal!" Panther cried.
However, Fox and Wolf then threw themselves through the portal. Shortly after that, the portal closed up behind them.
"No!" Slippy cried.
"Dammit, we should have tied something to them!" Falco shouted.
"Yeah," Peppy spoke, "then we wouldn't have lost Fox and Krystal!"
"Not to mention Wolf!" Leon added.
"Hold on a second, Corneria can't be the only place this portal spawns at." Panther stated.
"What do you mean?" The chameleon asked.
"How do we know that this portal won't appear on other planets?" The black jungle cat asked.
"We might need to ask someone where it's going to spawn next," Peppy stated, "unless we want to wait ten or twelve years for it to show up on Corneria again."
"Right," Falco said, "while I admit that Fox and Krystal can get on my case, we can't really run the time without them."
"I just hope that they're okay." Slippy said.
"I'm sure that they're fine." Peppy put his hand on the toad's shoulder. "C'mon, let's go talk to General Pepper."
Falco, Peppy and Slippy got in their Arwings and flew to the HQ of the Cornerian Army, leaving Leon and Panther by themselves.
"We should go after them, if we want to get Wolf back." Panther said.
"I kinda miss when we fought Star Fox instead of helping them." Leon said as he walked to his Wolfen. "I feel like Wolf's getting soft towards that girl now that she's been revealed to be his daughter."
Panther got into his Wolfen and followed Leon to the Cornerian Army's HQ, thinking to himself as he did so.
Come on guys, Panther thought, be okay.
Fox fell to the ground, the portal being roughly twelve feet from it. Once he hit the ground, the orange tod was nearly knocked unconscious. However, Wolf landed near him, grabbing the vulpine by his shirt collar and shaking him awake.
"Great job, Pup!" Wolf shouted. "Not only did you knock us through the portal, but now it's closed!"
"Well," Fox spat at him, "it's what you get for pushing Krystal through the portal!"
"Fair enough," the one-eyed lupine said, "but you still don't deserve her!"
"Just drop it!" The orange tod stated. "We need to look for her now!"
"Where can she be?" The older male asked as he began to look around.
Fox and Wolf looked around for Krystal, hoping that she was nearby. Luckily, the cobalt vixen was sitting near the lake. However, she was moaning and holding her leg. Fox went over to her, looking at the vixen's leg.
"You okay, Krys?" He asked.
"Of course not," Krystal answered, "I landed on my blasted leg when I came out of the portal! I think I either broke my ankle or twisted it!"
"Let me see." Wolf said as he came near her for a closer look.
"Dad," the cobalt vixen spoke, "you pushed me through the portal, do you think that I would let you look at my ankle?"
"I thought that you had gotten closer with her." Fox glared at him.
"I just don't like you being near her, Pup!" Wolf snorted.
"So that gave you the right to push her through a portal?!" The tod shouted.
"Alright," the one-eyed lupine said as he rolled his eyes, "enough of the shouting, someone will hear us and report us into the authorities. All we need to know is where we're at."
Krystal took out an area-scanning device and turned it on. The device began to scan the area around them. After a minute, the device let out a beeping sound, bringing out a holographic screen that displayed information about the land they were in.
"The Evergreen Forest." Krystal read the text on the hologram. "It's a heavily-forested area in Canada, to the point where the rangers won't let anyone commence with logging. We're on the planet known as Earth, circa 1992."
"Earth?" Fox asked.
"Yes," the cobalt vixen answered, "it's a planet in the Solar System, which is three star systems away from the Lylat System."
"So, not only are we back in time, but we're also in a star system that is LIGHT YEARS away from the system we call our home?!" Wolf nearly shouted.
"That's what you get for shoving Krystal through the portal." Fox said. "Now, not only are we in an unfamiliar land, but we have to wait ten or twelve years for the portal to come back."
"Well," Krystal said, "not necessarily. The portal that brought us here can spawn on other planets in the Lylat System, from Corneria to Venom. It might even spawn on Sauria."
"That's great," the tod said as he put his arm around Krystal, helping her walk, "but for now, we need to find shelter so that no one reports us. And so that your ankle can heal up."
"Alright." The cobalt vixen said.
Fox, Krystal and Wolf walked through the Evergreen Forest, with Fox and Wolf carrying Krystal so that she wouldn't walk on her injured ankle. Even though the cobalt vixen insisted on walking, she was told not to, winding up being carried. The three continued going through the woods, until they saw something odd. A few feet in front of them was a tree, but it somewhat looked like a house.
"Earth is the planet with humans as the dominant species, isn't it?" Fox asked.
"If it is, humans have regressed." Wolf stated.
"I'm sensing that three people live in there." Krystal said.
"Well," Fox spoke, "I hope that they're willing to accept three guests for a short while."
Fox went to the door and knocked on it, waiting for someone to respond. Wolf and Krystal moved towards him, deciding to wait as well. After all, it is rude to barge into someone's house, even if you were in trouble.
I hope that whoever lives here doesn't try to kill us. Fox thought to himself.
Note: As you can see, Fox, Wolf and Krystal have arrived at the Raccoondominium. However, their journey is just beginning. I really felt like doing this idea, seeing as The Raccoons is criminally underrated, and it has a small amount of crossover stories. I recommend the show to anyone who hasn't heard of it, seeing as it's a good show. Until next time guys, this is Newcomer24, signing off. Peace!
