Chapter 24

The next three months until December and Christmas time passed in two different ways too fast for Violet and too slow for her parents and her brother through the latter wouldn't admit it.

Their lives had moved on with Carter being in Muggle school and different from his father, he was top of his class and loved learning but right now he couldn't help but want for school to end so his sister could return.

The day that Hogwarts started their holidays the Dursleys without the grandparents this time they were in a car ready to do to the train station to get their daughter this time they didn't pass through the entrance to the train preferring to wait for the girl one the other side just because they didn't know if they could go through there without wizards.

While there they met a number of the other parents they had met before and watched as each of their children walked through the wall and came to hug them chatting about everything they had done.

When the redhaired girl came through her mother run to hug the life out of her daughter with the two males being left behind.

Everything went well though they didn't have the chance to meet Violet's friends again with her saying they were busy with something and they spent the entire ride home hearing the red-haired girl's exciting story about everything she had done in her magical school.

She talked about how amazing Lily, Lucy, Hugo, and Alice all were as friends or about how nice their siblings and cousins that were in school with her were always offering to help her or the new friends, she had made in the other houses even in Slytherin in Albus, Scorpius, and Antonia which neither she nor her parents had thought would happen.

She talked about the school, the moving stairs, the normal looking classroom with so much history the ghosts that told such amazing histories about the time they lived, the decorations for both Halloween and Christmas and of course the feasts and the teacher whom she loved.

As it was the week of Christmas the next few days until the important day was filled with excitement and very little time to get everything ready. In fact, their house was the only one not decorated because they were waiting for Violet to return before they did anything.

Violet enjoyed the time she had off sleeping late and spending time with her parents and grandparents who had visited more often than before but today she had woken up earlier than most days for one simple reason it was Christmas.

Like every year they were all sitting in front of the tree with cookies and hot cocoa opening presents this year all of her family members made sure to give her things she could take with her to Hogwarts so no electronics her mother had even given her an old camera that Violet was sure she could use it there.

While Violet had one of her older friends buy her some things from Honeydukes wanting to start small by introducing them to the things the wizarding world had to offer.

"I got you all of this from Honeydukes is a wizarding sweet shop located on High Street in the all-wizarding village of Hogsmeade. Lu says It was first established in 1641 while Hu says is filled with "shelves upon shelves of the most succulent-looking sweets imaginable". "

"Really?" asked Carter excited and everyone couldn't help but chuckle he had a very big sweet tooth

"Yeah," she said taking a pack that looked almost the same as Muggle jelly beans" Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans I tried one of those and they were really interesting."

"Those look like Jelly beans," said Carter taking one

"Yes, but while There are ordinary flavors like chocolate, peppermint, and marmalade, but also less fanciable ones like spinach, liver, and tripe. There are also flavors that are not actual foods like grass, farm dirt, vomit, earwax, paper, and bogeys." while she was talking her brother had put one in his mouth and soon spit it out

"It tastes like peppers I hate peppers." said the young boy his face looking like he had testiest something much more disgusting

Laughing everyone tried one piece for the fun of it and no one of them got anything resembling something tasty.

"What else?" asked Carter already ready to try something more interesting

"Here try this," said Violet giving her brother a piece from a box he couldn't see as soon as he ate it, he had to run towards the fridge and got a bottle of water which calmed his parents seeing as it wasn't dangerous

"What was that?" asked the boy after he had drunk half a bottle

"Salt Water Taffy." said the redhaired girl," it says it would make you want lots of water. I guess the boxing was right." she finished smiling while her brother glared at her

"How about I choose one," said her grandfather while looking at the pile of sweets" how about this." he said taking an innocent-looking red lollipop and putting it in his mouth and spitting It out almost immediately" All right not a good choice it tastes like blood."

The other members present didn't know if they should be laughing or feel disgusted, they choose the first one.

They continued doing that for quite a long time because when they heard a noise outside of their window it was already noon.

Outside were two owls which they made sure to get inside the house quickly.

One was a reddish owl with golden eyes while the other was bigger with black as night feathers and silver eyes. The reddish one was holding a big package while the black one was holding a piece of parchment and they concluded they had to read the letter first it did help that the black one was standing before the other one with his leg stretched.

Violet took the letter and said," It's from my friends at school."
