Note: As I still have stories open, I noticed that some of them might take a while to complete. However, some, such as this one, are quickly finished. As such, I apologize if this story is over too quick. Before we get started with the story, I want to say something to two reviewers.
EmpressLoveSiren23: Thanks for the compliments, I hope that you stay tuned for later chapters.
Ron: That's an understandable thought, given how George and Nicole have yet to appear in the story. However, stay tuned for their appearance.
Now that I've said that, it's time for chapter three.
Chapter 3: Dr. Bucciarati
Fox and Bert followed Bentley down a dirt road, on their way to visit Rowan Bucciarati. While the two raccoons were excited, the orange tod was cautious. He hoped that Dr. Bucciarati wasn't armed to the teeth. For all the vulpine knew, the scientist could be an agent for an anti-alien organization. After ten minutes of walking, Fox saw Bert and Bentley stop.
"We're here!" Bentley said.
Coming up to them, Fox saw a fennec sitting near a river. The fennec was wearing glasses, a lab coat, a red t-shirt with a band logo on it, jean leggings, white socks and flat shoes. Near him was a red folder and a backpack. Given what he saw before him, Fox assumed that the fennec was Dr. Bucciarati. In fact, Bert and Bentley weren't saying anything about it. Without hesitation, Fox went near the fennec.
"Excuse me, can I sit next to you?" Fox asked.
"That's fine with me." The fennec answered, smiling at the tod.
Fox sat next to the long-eared vulpine, with Bert and Bentley coming up to them.
"Are you Rowan Bucciarati?" Fox asked.
"Indeed I am." The fennec stated. "I am Dr. Rowan Bucciarati, a scientist with two degrees in astrology. I am also interested in extraterrestrial studies."
"Well," Bentley spoke, "it's your lucky day! Our new friend here, Fox McCloud, is an extraterrestrial being!"
"He is?" Dr. Bucciarati asked.
"Yes." Fox stated. "I have come from the Lylat System, and the future, through a portal with two fellow Lylatians. I am Fox McCloud, the leader of a team of mercenaries known as Star Fox. The other two are my teammate, Krystal Bodimead, and my rival, Wolf O'Donnell. Seeing as you are interested in extraterrestrial studies, I can tell that you would be interested in speaking with all of us."
"Where are the other two?" The fennec asked.
"They're at the Raccoondominium." Bert stated.
"Why is that?" The scientist asked.
"Krystal got her ankle once she came out of the portal." Fox answered. "As for Wolf, he decided not to come speak with you. He even said that he would beat you up."
"Yeah, Mr. O'Donnell seems like the kind of guy who would pick on the greatest minds in the world." Bentley said.
"Unlucky for him, I have taken classes in Tae Kwon Do!" Dr. Bucciarati stated. "In addition to that, I carry a stun gun with me!"
"No stun gun would stop Wolf in his tracks!" Fox said, struggling to keep himself from laughing. "In fact, I've seen him take a blaster round to the ass, and he kept on moving, not even caring that he was surrounded!"
"Bentley broke my arm onetime, but I didn't mind much!" Bert stated. "Of course, that was when he thought that Karate was all about fighting!"
"I'm learning to use my martial arts in self-defense now!" Bentley grumbled.
Dr. Bucciarati sighed in annoyance, shaking his head.
"Children," he spoke, "can we go back to our talk? I just want to know why our friend here, Fox McCloud, hasn't made an attempt to go back home. Personally, I don't mind that aliens from the future have come to Earth, but other people might not share my views."
"Well, the portal Wolf, Krystal and I came through only comes around every ten to twelve years." Fox said. "We'd be stranded on Earth in the twentieth century, if not for Krystal saying that the portal can spawn on other planets. Our trip home might come sooner than we thought."
"That being said, do you know when the next portal will spawn?" Dr. Bucciarati asked.
"No," the orange tod stated, "but Krystal has a device that tells where it will spawn next. I didn't bring said device with me, I'm sorry."
"Well," the fennec said, "can I have some DNA from you for the time being? I would like some proof about extraterrestrial life."
"I don't mind giving you a sample of my blood." Fox said. "However, I highly doubt that you can prove that my blood is any different from the creatures on this planet. Don't think that I have no respect for the scientists here."
Dr. Bucciarati took out a vial and a needle, letting Fox prick his finger with the needle and fill the vial with his blood. After that, the orange tod handed the vial and needle back to the fennec.
"I'll keep this as evidence." Dr. Bucciarati stated. "Also, I might visit you when I get the chance. Have a nice day!"
Fox began to walk back to the Raccoondominium with Bert and Bentley, leaving Dr. Bucciarati by the river.
"You know, Fox, you can stay at the Raccoondominium with Ralph, Melissa and me!" Bert offered.
"That's pretty much our only option, Bert." Fox said.
"I wonder how mom and dad would react to you, Mr. O'Donnell and Ms. Bodimead, Mr. McCloud." Bentley said. "They might freak out if they found out you were aliens!"
"Same goes for Cedric and the others!" Bert added. "Mr. Sneer might even sell Fox and the other two out for money!"
"Why not just explain the situation before you introduce us to the rest of your family and your friends?" Fox suggested.
"That's not a bad idea!" The older raccoon said.
"We can even have the others agree to stay quiet about you being aliens from the future!" The younger raccoon said to Fox.
"Sounds good to me." Fox said.
"Let's head back to the Raccoondominium, I'll make peanut butter sandwiches for everyone!" Bert said.
As Fox went back to the Raccoondominium with Bert and Bentley, he was unaware that a camera was recording him. The recording made its way to a facility, where someone was watching it, alongside other recordings.
"Aliens from the future, eh?" The mysterious person spoke. "Looks like they're refugees from their home. They look like they would be native to Earth, especially the Evergreen Forest, but the brainwave detector has been getting odd readings from the fox with the blue fur. I might need to be careful around that one, as she probably sensed the cameras I put up. However, they will not escape me, Eric Bolan, or my allies!"
Note: Oh boy, as if finding yourself in an unfamiliar place after you go through a portal wasn't tough enough. Knowing our three favorite Lylatians, they could be in big trouble. We can only hope for the best in this situation. As for me, I got a new dog today, so I feel happy. I hope that all of you are doing well. Until next time guys, this is Newcomer24, signing off. Peace!
