Hi! *Waves*
So I binged Sailor Moon Crystal & Eternal.
(Watching the many episode original slowly LOL)
I've been creatively zapped for a bit now so I thought to clear the cobwebs I'd present you with this thing that almost happened.
When I was writing SMA I was basically doing so by the seat of my pants with vague notes and an OC who'd been in development for a year. Thing about this oc was she kept switching from fairy to vampire to mermaid then to hybrid combos.
Thing is she was one paragraph away from this being the case:
…...
It wasn't unusual for Christina to take an exceptionally long baths especially after an especially trying day. There was a reason she had a custom built bath tub and enough products to put a chain store out of bisness.
"Christina!" Draculaura knocked rapidly on the door, "Are you okay, you've been in there for two hours!"
Christina gave no response.
Easing open the door, Draculaura was hit in the face with lavender scented steam which filled the room, fogging the mirror.
"Christina?"
The burbling, bubbling bathwater caught the pink vampire's attention.
Typical.
Christina was submerged in the scalding liquid, her brown eyes the only thing above the water, watching Draculaura with a vacant expression.
"Do you feel ready to talk about it?"
Christina sank underwater, the boiling coming faster.
"When did I become the older one?" Draculaura sighed heavily, coughing on the steam.
Seeing her cousin wasn't going to budge Draculaura left to tell her father to put Christina's dinner in the fridge.
…...
The beach, the salty sea air was welcome, even after her hours long bath.
Stupid werecat Christina bitterly thought taking a ruining leap into the water. Upon contact she underwent a transformation, legs replaced by a shimmering, powerful tail ebony scales reflecting the moonlight so well she was hard to spot from shore.
Stupid werecat.
…...
At Lunch that day, Christina had picked at her salad, not hungry, shaken by the threats of one of the biggest bullies in school. You'll pay Toralei had said. Toralei didn't take such words lightly.
"Christina? Are you like, okay?"
Shaggy sat beside her with concern written across his face.
"Just peachy," Christina replied, briefly scanning the room for any werecats before returning her gaze to the food before her.
Shaggy was still watching her as was the rest of the table.
No, she wasn't okay. Far from okay, jittery, on-edge, paranoid. That was what she was right then. With good reason given her less than stellar history with Toralei.
It happened in moments.
Christina was soaked to the bone before falling to the floor with a loud attention grabbing crash. Squeezing her eyes shut, tense as the magic of the transformation overtook her. Tail on full display she laid in the puddle trying to shut out the shocked gasps.
"She's a mermaid!?"
"Mermaid hybrid," Draculaura softly corrected Daphne before trying to get Christina dry.
She was out of there as soon as her legs were back.
…...
nicely hidden behind some rocks, Christina rested against the shifting sands of the ocean floor and let herself sleep for the first time in hours.
When she woke again she could see the sunlight piercing the water.
"Christina!"
Curling behind the rocks she watched Lagoona and Gil dart past calling for her.
"Christina!" the rest of her friends followed decked out in diving gear.
She wasn't coming out.
Ever.
…...
Yawns, you know I could run with this but as I said before I am drained.
ONE DAY HOWEVER I WILL HAVE A MERMAID CHRISTINA STORY!
She would just acquire a tail.
Perhaps a fall into a moon pool...
