Note: I have nothing much to say here. In fact, I intend on getting this chapter started. Before I can do that, however, I'm going to speak to three reviewers.
EmpressLoveSiren23: Thanks for your review. I will keep going, even if I reach a rot in my writing. Stay tuned for the next chapter.
Ron: I could tell that you made a mistake in your previous review. However, we all make mistakes, so I don't mind. Anyway, I hope that you like this chapter.
The White Wolf named Alex: Don't worry, the residents of the Evergreen Forest have been trained. We just have to see how they apply that training to the fight against the alien hunters. Tune in to find out.
Now that I've done that, it's time for chapter thirteen.
Chapter 13: Lita Attacks
Krystal was sitting on the front lawn of the Raccoondominium, watching Falco and Katt train with Bentley. The young raccoon had gotten quicker on his feet, as the training he did prior increased his strength and speed. However, the pheasant and the pink cat weren't letting him get the better of them. In fact, Katt lifted Bentley and held him upside down. In response, Bentley freed himself and kicked both Katt and Falco in their faces. The avian and the feline only rubbed their cheeks, smiling at the young boy.
"Nice one, kid!" Falco complimented.
"You're tougher than we thought!" Katt stated.
"Well," Bentley spoke, "I have been working on my black belt! Also, I've been training with your friends, so I might have gotten stronger from the training!"
"Well, it shows!" The pink cat told him.
"I just hope that I can use it against Bolan and his men!" The young raccoon said. "I might even get a few hits on him!"
"Get real," Falco told him, "you might be fighting an enemy who isn't afraid to kill everyone in his path, including kids like you!"
"It might be better for you to stay out of the fight, Bentley." Krystal spoke.
"If I do, I hope that the traps I helped set up catch the alien hunters." The boy said as he walked up to Krystal.
"Would you like to go in?" The cobalt vixen asked.
"We can go around you, Krys, don't worry." Falco said.
Falco, Katt and Bentley went into the Raccoondominium, leaving Krystal outside. However, the cobalt vixen followed them inside, managing to avoid putting pressure on her twisted ankle. Once she was inside, she closed the door behind her. Fox then came to Krystal, taking her over to the table.
"I wish that your ankle was all healed up, Krystal." Fox said.
"Yeah," Krystal said, "but I feel like my ankle might be better now."
"Really?" The orange tod asked. "Can you try and walk on your own?"
"I'll try." The cobalt vixen said, allowing Fox to let go of her.
Once Fox let go of Krystal, she tried to walk without any help. To the surprise of those around her, the cobalt vixen walked well. She even took off the cast on her leg in order to show that she could walk again.
"Your ankle healed up nicely, didn't it?" Melissa asked.
"It's a little sore, but I can walk again." Krystal answered.
"That's good to know, Krystal!" Bert said.
"Indeed it is," Wolf came into the room, "knowing that she can fight again."
Krystal moaned as she held her head, her telepathy detecting something bad.
"Are you alright?" Melissa asked.
"I'm sensing something." Krystal stated.
"Is it Bolan?" Fox asked.
"I think it's one of his associates." The cobalt vixen said. "She's a cheetah, and I sense nothing but negative energy off of her. We need to take her down!"
"We will, don't worry!" Katt told her friend.
Back in the Evergreen Forest, Lita was walking through, looking around for anything interesting. She was in contact with Bolan and the others through a walkie talkie, occasionally informing them on her findings. As she walked through, the cheetah noticed how deathly quiet the woods were. Before she could do anything else, she heard Bolan's voice ring out of her walkie talkie.
"Lita, are you there?" Bolan asked.
"Yes." Lita told him. "I haven't found the aliens yet, but, when I do, I'll fight them! When I win, I'll bring them to you!"
"Good," the lynx's voice rang out, "just be careful."
"I will," the cheetah spoke into the walkie talkie, "I just wish that we came out here together!"
"It was an innocent mistake on my part, Bolan out!" He said before hanging up.
Lita only grumbled, continuing her search through the Evergreen Forest. She walked until she came across the Raccoondominium, smirking as she did so. Now that it was in her sights, the cheetah took out a firecracker and threw it to the ground.
"Avoid that, I dare you!" Lita quietly said.
From inside the Raccoondominium, Fox, Falco, Krystal, Wolf, Katt, Bert, Ralph, Melissa, Bentley and Lisa overheard the firecracker.
"What was that?!" Bert asked.
"Crap, the alien hunters must be here!" Fox said.
"And they mean business!" Melissa said.
"Don't worry, we can still fight them!" Katt said.
"But who's going out there?" Ralph asked.
"I'll go!" Krystal said as she got up.
"Krystal, are you sure you want to do this?" Fox asked.
"Yeah, you wouldn't want to hurt your leg again!" Bert said.
"Then I'm going out with her!" Lisa said.
"Lisa, you shouldn't!" Melissa protested.
"We've been training with Mr. McCloud, Mr. O'Donnell and Ms. Bodimead, so I think that it's necessary to return the favor!" The taller, younger raccoon told her.
Krystal and Lisa walked to the door, ready to head outside.
"Looks like you lose this round, Melissa." Ralph said.
"Your niece is self-sacrificing, I can see that." Wolf stated.
"I just hope that she doesn't get herself killed." Melissa said as she looked down.
Outside the Raccoondominium, Lita was waiting for someone to come out. The cheetah only smiled when she saw Krystal and Lisa walking out of the Raccoondominium.
"So, you two came out by yourselves?" She asked.
"Does it matter?" Lisa asked.
"Yes," Lita stated, "because it only makes the fight we're about to have all the sweeter!"
"It will be sweet for us when we beat you!" The raccoon retorted.
"And you're going to jail when we win!" Krystal added.
"We'll see about that, shall we?!" The cheetah spat.
Lita ran at Krystal with a knife, but the cobalt vixen grabbed her arm and punched her in the face. After that, Lisa kicked the cheetah in the side, causing her to stagger back. However, instead of going down, the alien hunter spat to the side and looked at her opponents.
"Not bad, but you're not escaping me!" Lita said, cracking her knuckles.
Krystal and Lisa only got into defensive stances, bracing for Lita's next attack. The cheetah jumped into the air, intent on taking the two down with her next attack. However, the cobalt vixen and the raccoon moved out of the way, with the former kicking Lita in the head. The alien hunter wasn't taken down by the kick. In fact, she threw a punch at Lisa. The raccoon was hit in the shoulder, but she threw an uppercut at Lita's chin. After that, the young woman prepared herself for her next move.
Lita ran at Lisa, her hands clenched into fists. Lisa didn't have much time to dodge, as she received a punch to the face. However, the raccoon was ready for the next attack, as she caught Lita's other fist and kicked her in the gut. The cheetah only staggered back, unable to dodge the right jab Lisa threw at her chest. The raccoon followed the right jab with a well-placed roundhouse kick, which knocked the alien hunter down. After that, Krystal came over to Lisa.
"That was easier than I thought." Lisa said.
"I wouldn't get cocky if I were you, Lisa!" Krystal told her. "I highly doubt our enemy is down for the count!"
True to Krystal's word, Lita got up from the ground. When she was on her feet, the cheetah glared at Krystal and Lisa.
"There is no way in hell that I'm losing to either of you!" Lita spoke. "All I need to do is call Mr. Bolan and have him come here!"
"With what, exactly?" Lisa asked.
"With my walkie talkie, of course!" The cheetah answered.
"Oh, you mean this?" Krystal asked, holding the walkie talkie in her hand.
"How did you get that?!" The alien hunter shouted.
"I grabbed it while you were fighting me." The cobalt vixen told her. "Being a telepath, I can detect anything, from distress signals to shapeshifters."
"Give it back!" The feline said.
In response, Krystal threw the walkie talkie to the ground and stomped on it, destroying it. Enraged, Lita got ready to run at the cobalt vixen and throttle her. Before she could do so, the cheetah felt a burst of electricity course throughout her body. It didn't come out of nowhere, it was from a stun gun! After that, Lita collapsed to the ground, slipping into unconsciousness.
"That was unexpected!" Lisa stated.
"I figured that the both of you needed help, so I came near!" A familiar voice rang out.
Krystal and Lisa saw Sophia standing near Lita's unconscious body, holding a stun gun in her hands. The aardvark then took out a pair of handcuffs, putting them on the alien hunter's wrists.
"What are you doing?" Lisa asked.
"I'm just getting this woman ready for her trip to court!" Sophia stated. "Her name is Lita Squire and she has been charged with assault and attempted murder! She ran before the judge could give her her sentence, so the authorities have been chasing her for quite some time! But, thanks to help from the two of you, she can be brought to justice!"
Moments later, and Lita had been taken away by a police cruiser. After that, Krystal decided to speak with Sophia.
"I knew that you weren't on Bolan's side." Krystal spoke. "In fact, I didn't sense a single shred of malice and hatred from within you."
"Why would I be malicious?" Sophia asked.
"I doubt that you would ever do anything bad." The cobalt vixen told her. "However, Fox told me that there was a strange device in your pocket. Do you mind telling me what that device would be?"
"It's my tracker." The aardvark told her. "I was using it to track Bolan and his men so that we can capture them."
"That's good to know." The Cerinian said.
"My boss probably won't be happy to hear that I've met aliens and didn't tell him." The long-nosed mammal said.
"Yes," the Lylatian said, "but you're going to be responsible for putting Bolan and his associates behind bars."
Ralph came out of the Raccoondominium, approaching Krystal and Sophia.
"Do you want to come in, guys?" He asked.
"Sure." Krystal answered.
"What about you, Sophia?" Ralph asked.
"I can come in." Sophia stated.
Krystal and Sophia followed Ralph into the Raccoondominium, closing the door behind them. Throughout the night, there were no other distractions, so everything was peaceful.
Note: I didn't know whether to reveal who's side Sophia was really on in this chapter or a later one, but I went with this one. At least, we know that she's working with the law in order to capture Bolan and his associates, so she's not working with the alien hunters. She might be ditzy, but Sophia is hardly someone who would willingly work with a villain. It's a good thing as well, as our heroes need all the help they can get. Until next time guys, this is Newcomer24, signing off. Peace!
