Chapter Forty-Seven: The Marauder's Map
Later on, that day for the Qudditch match it started to rain. Harry's mother and all of his brothers and sisters had come to watch the match with Severus, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny. "Woo! Go Harry!" Hermione cheered excitedly while Harry soared through the air on his Nimbus two thousand. Lily bit her lip while she watched a bludger heading straight towards her son and Severus found himself frozen with fright while Harry slowly reached out his arm towards the snitch.
However, that's when suddenly a roll of thunder hit, and lightning flashed in the background momentarily distracting Harry. Harry turned his head and looked and saw the grim in the sky when the bludger hit his broomstick and he started falling through the sky and Lily screamed while Severus simply just gasped.
"Harry!" He cried as Harry had also caught a dementor on the way down while Dumbledore pointed his finger towards Harry.
"Arresto Momentum." He said in which Sarah was shocked that she saw her first glance of wandless magic while also watching her father run out onto the field to Harry's side.
….
Harry opened his eyes. He had gone unconscious when he had still been on the Qudditch field and the next thing he knew was that he was in the hospital wing where his friends, parents, and siblings were all looking down at him.
"What happened?" Harry wondered while he rubbed his eyes.
"Well, you sort of fell mate." Ron replied.
"Really?" Harry began sarcastically with a roll of his eyes while fetching his glasses off the nightstand and putting it on his face. "I meant the Qudditch match, who won?" He wondered while Hermione bit her lip before she took a deep breath and started to speak.
"Umm,.. nobody blames you Harry, but Gryffindor lost. Not only that but dementors aren't supposed to be on the grounds. Dumbledore was furious." She explained.
"And there's something else that you should know too Harry." Ron began. "When you feel, well your broom sort of blew into the whomping willow." He told him and Harry's heart sunk as he saw him place the remains of his broomstick on top of the bed. "And well you know, the rest is sort of history." He told him.
"Don't worry sweetheart, we'll get you a new broomstick as soon as we can." Lily reassured him when suddenly Patches stood up on the foot of Harry's bed and perked up his ears and let out a yip.
"Patches come back here!" Sarah snapped in a whisper as she took off running after him and managed to scoop him up inside her arms as soon as she reached the doorframe. For there was Draco and his father Lucius.
"I already told you. I'm not signing this form so you can go goofing off when you're supposed to be working on beating Weasley, that Snape brat, and that mudblood girl!" Lucius snapped while Sarah silently narrowed her eyebrows and glared at him.
"Don't call her that!" Draco hissed inside a whisper while Lucius simply raised a questioning eyebrow at him.
"What did you just say to me?" He questioned him.
"Don't call Hermione that, or call Harry and Ron names either. They're my friends." He told him.
"How dare you speak back to me!" His father hissed before slapping him across the face causing Draco to burst into tears before he ripped up his Hogsmeade form. "Next time, be prepared for an even worse punishment boy!" He told him before turning around and walking away leaving Draco in tears while he looked down at the torn-up bits of pieces of paper and Sarah started slowly walking over to him.
"Are you okay?" She asked him as Draco turned to look at her and silently nodded. "If you're up for it I think I have an idea of how to get you into Hogsmeade with us." She told him.
"Really? How?" He wondered with a sniff as a few more remaining tears rolled down his cheek and he quickly brushed them away and that's when suddenly Sarah just simply grinned over at him.
"There are a few Weasleys I need to talk to first." She told him.
…
"Please Ginny? Come on, we have to take him to Fred and George." Sarah told her.
"Give me one good reason why we should trust him." Ginny told her back.
"Cause he stood up for Hermione and both of our brothers. I heard him." She replied.
"Oh alright, but if we give you our trust then you better not betray it." Ginny began. "That is, unless you want a bat boogey hex performed on you." She finished before she started leading him and Sarah over to the covered bridge where Fred and George were already waiting for them.
"So, Sarah said that you could get me into Hogsmeade." Draco began. "How exactly?" He wondered.
"With this." Fred began with a grin while he removed a blank piece of paper from his pocket.
"There's nothing on it." Draco replied with a simple shake of his head.
"Watch this." George began before he cleared his throat into his fist and tapped the piece of paper with his wand. "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good." He said and the piece of paper magically started to change and words started to appear. It read:
"Messrs Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs Proudly Present to You, The Marauder's Map."
"The Marauder's Map?" Draco repeated questioningly.
"Yep, every single passageway public or private is shown upon this map along with every single person at the school and on the grounds." Ginny explained. "There's even a secret passageway to Hogsmeade on here." She added while she pointed at the spot on the map for Draco.
"Just remember that when you're done to tap the map with your wand and say mischief managed." George told him before he and Fred demonstrated.
"Otherwise, anyone can read it." They said together as Draco thanked them, placed the map inside his pocket and then wandered off in search of Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
