Note: I feel comfortable knowing that I'm just about to the end of the story. In fact, I can work on my other stuff when I complete this. Before we move on, I want to say something to two reviewers.

Ron: Yeah, Sophia really cares for her friends, in spite of being ditzy. She would never do anything awful to them. I hope that you stay tuned for this chapter.

The White Wolf named Alex: Thanks, I hope you enjoy this chapter as well.

Now, without further ado, let's get on with the story.

Chapter 14: Two Different Plans

Back at Bolan's base, he, Alexander and Clive were waiting for Lita. They were unaware that the cheetah had been defeated and arrested, so they were impatient. Despite that, they were overlooking the map of the Evergreen Forest they had with them.

"Am I the only waiting for Lita to come back?" Clive asked.

"Forget her, we've got bigger fish to fry!" Bolan told him.

"What's the new plan, Eric?" Alexander asked.

Bolan was silent for a moment, getting up from his seat. After that, the lynx looked at the wall, then back at his fellow alien hunters.

"There isn't much we can do." Bolan spoke. "In fact, the aliens we're chasing after might have technology that is beyond our comprehension. But, that doesn't mean we've been beaten! We can still nab those aliens, even if this mission ends in our deaths!"

"Well, what's the plan?" Alexander asked.

"We'll move out at two in the afternoon tomorrow." The lynx said. "But, before then, we'll send out an ultimatum to the residents of the Evergreen Forest, so that they can surrender the aliens to us!"

"What if the aliens aren't in the Evergreen Forest anymore?" Clive asked.

"Then we've failed in our mission." The feline said. "Now, let's go gather up our gadgets and weapons so that we can use them tomorrow!"

"Right!" Alexander said.

"If we don't make it, it was an honor to serve with the two of you." Clive said.

Bolan, Alexander and Clive walked out of the basement, heading to the weapons room. Once they were there, the three alien hunters gathered some of what they had and loaded it into a truck that was parked in the garage. After that, they went back into the base, confident that no one was overhearing them. Unbeknownst to Bolan and his associates, someone was actually recording their conversation.

Up in the sky were Fox and Falco, who were using an invisibility feature on Falco's Arwing to remain hidden. Fox had lowered a recorder down to Bolan's hideout, using it to record data from the building. The device could scan through entire buildings, so it wasn't hard to use. Once they got what they wanted, Fox and Falco brought the recording device back up, with Falco putting it in the cockpit.

"We need to get this back to the Raccoondominium!" Fox said.

"Yeah," Falco said, "those alien hunters mean business, more than how I expected them to! But, that only makes the battle we're about to have with them all the sweeter!"

"I hope that the training we've had everyone do holds up!" The orange tod said.

"Let's not forget those traps you set up!" The pheasant added. "It might snag those guys up before they can even send out that ultimatum!"

"Right, let's head back!" The vulpine said.

Falco flew his Arwing in the other direction, setting a course for the Raccoondominium. The Arwing had a silencer on, so Fox and Falco were undetected by anyone, including Bolan and his associates.

Falco parked near the Raccoondominium and opened the cockpit of his Arwing. After that, he and Fox got out of the ship, choosing to head inside. Once they got in, the two were greeted by Wolf, Katt, Krystal, Bert, Ralph, Melissa, Bentley, Lisa, Cedric, Sophia and Cyril. However, alongside them, Fox saw a familiar face near them: Dr. Bucciarati!

"Well, good evening, gentlemen!" Dr.Bucciarati greeted.

"What are you doing here, doctor?" Fox asked.

"I was just passing through, until Bert filled me in on your current situation." The fennec said. "Now that I know there are alien hunters in the Evergreen Forest, I have decided to help those who might be in danger of being killed by Eric Bolan and his associates!"

"That's good to know, man." Falco said as he placed the recorder on the table.

"Did you get the info that we needed?" Katt asked.

Falco pressed the button on the recorder that played the audio it gathered, allowing everyone to hear Bolan's new plan. As they listened, their expressions ranged from shocked to content.

"They're going to search the Evergreen Forest tomorrow?" Bentley asked.

"Not if we trap Bolan and his men at their base." Fox said.

"How do we do that?" Melissa asked.

"We'll have to sabotage their truck before they can move out." Falco said. "Personally, I prefer slashing the truck's tires."

"And I'll talk to Bolan and his associates as you do so." Dr. Bucciarati added.

"Then we can fight the alien hunters at their hideout!" Bert said in excitement. "This looks like a job for Bert Raccoon: Alien Hunter-Fighting Ace!"

"Bert, settle down." Lisa said.

"Actually, I'm with Bert, we need to take those alien hunters down!" Ralph stated.

Wolf then burst out into laughter.

"I like how those two think!" The one-eyed lupine spoke. "It looks like their training might pay off tomorrow!"

"Just promise that none of you will kill Bolan and his men!" Sophia stated. "Part of my job involves bringing them in alive, and I feel like my boss would rip my head off if the alien hunters were killed by you!"

"We won't, we promise." Krystal said.

"Good!" The aardvark said.

After that, Sophia walked out of the Raccoondominium, allowing everyone to continue speaking with each other.

"Sophia's just as kind-hearted as I remember." Cedric said.

"And to think, she's working with an organization out to arrest those alien-hunting idiots!" Cyril chuckled.

"With that in mind, Sophia is an important ally for us, and we must respect her wishes by not killing Bolan and his men!" Fox said.

"As ever, Pup, you're no fun." Wolf said. "But, given how you're one of the many people I know who my daughter likes, I won't mock you for much longer."

"Thanks, Wolf." The orange tod said.

"Don't mention it." The one-eyed lupine stated.

Lisa looked over to the clock that was on the wall.

"Oh," she spoke, "we better head home, Bentley, mom and dad are probably waiting for us!"

"Right!" Bentley said as he stood up.

"Bye guys!" Lisa said as she walked to the door.

"Bye Lisa, bye Bentley!" Melissa said.

Once Lisa and Bentley were gone, Cedric and Cyril got up from the table.

"We should head home as well." Cyril spoke. "The Pigs are probably making a mess, and I'd be too soft if I didn't skin them alive!"

"We'll see you guys tomorrow!" Cedric said as he opened the door.

"You too!" Fox responded.

After Cedric and Cyril left, Dr. Bucciarati followed suit, agreeing to meet up with the group at the Raccoondominium. Moments later, Fox, Falco, Wolf, Katt and Krystal went to the clubhouse for the night, remaining hidden as they traveled there. Once they got there, Falco's communicator went off.

Back at the Great Fox, Peppy, Slippy and Randorn were waiting by the communicator, attempting to get in contact with their allies. After a minute, they heard a familiar voice come through.

"Peppy, are you there?" Falco asked.

"Yes," Peppy answered, "what's the situation there?"

"Well, we're going to fight off the alien hunters and trap them before they wreck the Evergreen Forest tomorrow!" Fox's voice came out of the communicator.

"Oh boy, we just hope that you don't do it after the Cornerian Army opens up the portal!" Slippy said.

"What time will the machine activate and open a portal?" Katt asked.

"Seven o'clock in the evening." The toad answered.

There was a sigh of relief that came out of the communicator.

"We have enough time to spare before it opens, guys." Fox said. "Don't worry, we'll see you again!"

"And the portal will spawn near the Raccoondominium, is that right?" Katt asked.

"Yes," Peppy said, "you'll be able to access it."

"And we'll be there for all of you, waiting." Randorn said.

"Good," Wolf said, "it's about time we got our way back to our world!"

"Peppy," Falco said, "we're going to get some rest for the night. See you tomorrow, okay?"

"Okay!" Peppy said, hanging up shortly after.

Once the call had ended, Peppy, Slippy and Randorn decided to get some sleep, with Randorn sleeping next to the communicator. As for Peppy and Slippy, they went to their rooms, the latter practically collapsing on his bed. Closing his eyes, the toad fell asleep. While doing so, he thought to himself.

See you soon, guys!

Note: The story is just about over, but I hope that all of you have enjoyed it. In fact, I hope to do more crossover stories with The Raccoons, as it lacks in crossover stories. I don't expect them to be considered the best, as I'm not the best writer in the world. Until next time guys, this is Newcomer24, signing off. Peace!
