Note: I don't have much to say here, so here's the epilogue.
Chapter 17: Epilogue
An hour after they came back to the Lylat System, Fox, Falco, Katt, Krystal and Wolf had to be searched for anything suspicious. Once the search was done, they had to take showers in the locker rooms. After that, they went home with their respective teams. Shortly after they got to the Great Fox, Star Fox received a call from Sargasso, the caller being Wolf. The one-eyes lupine spoke with Fox and Krystal, asking them if they could come over tomorrow. The two agreed, much to the surprise of Peppy and Slippy. Luckily, Falco filled them in on what went happened in the Evergreen Forest, including Wolf's acceptance of Fox and Krystal's close relationship.
Both Star Fox and Star Wolf continued on with their business, glad to have things back to normal. In fact, not much was going on in their personal lives. Outside of the occasional visit from friends, some members of each team had some trips to Corneria. In fact, Falco went to visit his father, Ralph Lombardi, and learned that the treatments he received were working against his cancer. In addition to that, Wolf went to visit his father, Spike. While he was there, he saw Falco visiting his mother, Gia. Needless to say, Falco and Wolf were surprised to see that Spike and Gia were friends, but they got over it.
In the first week of August, Fara and Sabre had returned from their vacation on Katina. Upon meeting up with their friends, they announced their engagement. After hearing it, some of them agreed to have certain roles, such as Fay being a flower girl. The following day, Krystal received an envelope from Corneria College. Opening it up, she decided to give her teammates a call. The cobalt vixen hoped that they would be okay with what was going on.
Meanwhile, Bentley was writing a paper about his summer vacation. On it, he included a part about meeting five people who changed his life. The young raccoon referred to Fox, Falco, Krystal, Wolf and Katt, but he left their names out. In addition to that, he didn't refer to them as aliens. Given what happened a month earlier, Bentley didn't want to potentially attract more alien hunters with his paper. Then again, who would read a paper an eight-year-old did as a project and take it too seriously?
Once he finished the paper, Bentley went downstairs, where Bert was waiting for him. Upon meeting up, the two left the house and went to meet up with Ralph. He invited them to take a hike with him and Melissa, mainly to test their endurance and stamina. The time they spent with Fox, Falco, Krystal, Wolf and Katt had changed Ralph more than anyone in the Evergreen Forest. While he was somewhat exhausting now, Bert and Bentley liked that the scarf-wearing raccoon was giving more energy to his life. Knowing that he was waiting for them with Melissa, the two raccoons went for the Evergreen Mountains, being at peace since Bolan's arrest.
Bolan and his associates got life imprisonment for criminal activity, including theft of government technology. As it turned out, the technology they had with them were stolen from Area 51. Because of this, the United States government worked with Canada to keep the alien hunters locked up. Sophia was even offered a position in the US army for her role in Bolan's capture. However, she turned it down in order to stay in the Evergreen Forest. It seemed like things were back to normal.
Meanwhile, the envelope that Krystal had given to the Raccoon family was in Bentley's room. Inside of it was a folded piece of paper. On it was text that read "See you next time!" along with the signatures of Fox, Falco, Krystal, Katt and Wolf. However, the Star Fox team logo was also on it. The logo glistened in the sun, as if it was a machine that was activated.
Note: Welp, that's the epilogue. I didn't think that I would open up two stories with one, but I did. Anyway, I hope that you have enjoyed the story, given how, aside from one chapter being left, it's officially over. Until next time guys, this is Newcomer24, signing off. Peace!
