Chapter Seventy-Nine: The Order of The Phoenix
Just a quick note from the author: First of all, before I get started with the next chapter, I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to my reviewer Rioan. I'm glad that you're enjoying this story so far and I hope you enjoy the rest of the story as well! :D
As Draco and Harry came back downstairs, they started chasing after each other and laughing before Draco grabbed Harry from behind and pulled him down and put him in a headlock. "Aww, isn't that cute?" Ginny began. "They're both acting like little boys." She finished while Draco looked up at her.
"Give me a break Weasley, unlike most of you here,.. I never had a brother before." He pointed out breathing heavily.
"And I've never been in pain like this before where I could hardly breathe." Harry said from the ground and Draco quickly let go of him.
"Oops. Sorry about that." He told him before Harry started remembering what had happened the past year.
"Except for when Voldemort used the Crucatious curse against me." He said as Draco gave him his hand and helped pull him to his feet.
"What? Harry, why didn't you tell us?" Hermione asked him.
"Because I didn't want you all to worry about me and there's nothing you can do about it now." Harry replied as he and Draco turned to look over at her.
"Actually, believe it or not,.. there is." She replied. "You see with Voldemort being back in power now the ministry of magic has been keeping a rather tight and close eye on him."
"Well obviously." Ron began. "But what can we do about it? None of us are even seventeen yet. We're just a bunch of students."
"It doesn't mean that we don't have the ability to fight back. Cornelius Fudge thinks that Voldemort's forming some sort of wizard army." She explained.
"Well then you do realize that the first thing he's going to do if we fight him is going to be going after you don't you?" Ron questioned her.
"Over my dead body." Draco and Severus said simultaneously, and Draco turned to look at him in shock.
"I unofficially adopted her last year remember? She's just as much my daughter as she is her biological parents." Severus pointed out as Hermione smiled at him.
"Not that I'm not completely touched by that remark, but I don't think we should fight. It's too dangerous. It's what Voldemort is probably expecting which is why he's forming the wizard army in the first place." She told him but that's when Draco just simply grinned.
"I bet there's one thing he won't be expecting. I'm the son of a death eater. He won't have expected me to turn good and be on Harry's team." He told them.
"Draco, I don't really think that's a good idea. He probably would be really upset about that and_ I can't bear the thought of you getting hurt." She told him while quickly turning her head away from him and running out of the room.
"Damn it not again." Draco said before he took after her. "Hermione wait!" He cried out and followed her out to the backyard. "Hermione, I'll be fine. I promise you that. Besides, if anything were to ever happen to me at least you have Harry and Ron. I'm currently more worried what will happen to you if we don't fight more than I'm worried about what will happen to me if we do." He told her while taking her hands inside his and gazing into her eyes before they exchanged a quick and passionate kiss on the lips.
"Tell me what we need to do." He told her.
"Well, Harry's father was telling me about a secret organization called the Order of The Phoenix. Harry's mother is a part of it as well. It's a secret place where its members gather and think up ways to take down Voldemort. I'm not sure how far it'll take us, but it's definitely a start. However, right now we should be more focused on Harry and being there for him for his trial. They can't expel him they just can't." She told him while shaking her head and turning away from him, but Draco followed her and took her hand again.
"Don't worry, I don't think they will. His father and headmaster have this under control. I'm sure that everything will be just fine." He reassured her softly before pecking a kiss onto her cheek.
"I sure hope you're right." She told him worriedly while embracing him tightly and wrapping her arms around his neck and burying her head into his chest. He embraced her back and rested his chin on the top of her head.
"Don't worry, Harry's going to be alright." He began before kissing the top of her head softly. "I love you." He told her.
"I love you too." She told him quietly while closing her eyes in content and relaxation before he placed another soft and gentle kiss on the top of her head.
…
It was finally the morning of Harry's court hearing. As he started getting changed in his bedroom butterflies filled the pit of his stomach. He honestly didn't believe that he would actually get expelled from Hogwarts, but that thought alone that something could possibly go wrong and that he would be, troubled him even more than the fact that Voldemort was back.
That's when suddenly the doorbell rang, and Lily went to go answer it and discovered Draco on the other side of it holding a Bible inside his right hand. "Oh hullo there Draco, what brings you here this morning?" She inquired with a warm and friendly smile.
"I want you to give this to Harry." He told him.
"Well thanks Draco, but he already has a Bible." She pointed out.
"I know." He began with a grin. "This is a very special Bible." He told her with a wink before handing it over to her and then turned around and walked away.
