Offshore Warehouse (Chase's POV)-

"So...this is where we'll be hiding out from the FBI. What do you think?" Mr. Davenport led out into a dark and messy warehouse. It really didn't seem like something he would have but I guess I'm glad we have somewhere to stay.

"I think we should update our tetanus shots." Bree quipped and I didn't completely disagree with her.

"Hey, where's Maddie and Leo? I thought you said they'd be here." I asked.

"Yeah, I kind of lied about that." I was confused until Mr. Davenport tapped the back of his neck deactivating the hidden cyber mask and revealing himself as Douglas Davenport. "Guess who?"

"Whoa! Awesome mask, Mr. Davenport! He looks just like his evil brother who captured us." Adam said once again not understanding the situation.

"That is his evil brother." Bree clarified.

"And he did just capture us." I explained dryly.

"Oh!" Adam said in realization.

"I don't get it. I thought you were an ice cube in Mr. Davenport's warehouse. How did you get out?" I asked. I needed some way of keeping Spike back. He absolutely hated Douglas for putting Maddie through everything he did. I could hear him growling beneath the surface but we didn't need Spike's blind rage right now.

"I had a little help." He explained smugly.

"It doesn't matter. We'll destroy this rat trap just like your last one." I said and my voice dropped a bit as Spike tried creeping out.

"Yeah, thanks for that. I didn't even have time to back up my music. Twenty years of up-tempo jazz, gone!" Douglas whined.

"Yeah? Well I know something else that's about to be gone." Adam, Bree, and I got into a fighting stance.

"Yeah. Let's get his reggae too." Adam threatened.

"Get him!" Bree shouted and the three of us charged towards douglas.

"Now!" He shouted before we could reach him and a tall man in a mask stepped out from behind him and shot us all with energy knocking us out.

. . .

I began to stir when I heard Douglas calling us. "Wakey-wakey. Eggs and bac-y. Actually it's just an expression. All we have to eat around here are nuts, berries and... the occasional barbequed iguana."

"Taunting us with non-existent breakfast foods? You really are evil! But I will take that barbecued iguana." Adam tried as we all got up off the floor. Whatever that guy did to us must have shut down our bionics while we were out because Spike was calmer than before.

"Wait! Who was that guy?" The more I thought about it the more I realized he did that with his hands no weapons.

"Oh, that's right. You haven't been formally introduced to my partner. Krane, come say hi to the kids." Douglas called to the area behind him.

"Wait, now we have three dads?" Adam asked as the masked figure emerged from the shadows.

"After I was booted from Davenport Industries, I needed cash to continue my research. Luckily, I found a billionaire who believed in me. Say hello to my colleague, benefactor, and all-around bad guy, Victor Krane." Douglas introduced him and Krane removed his mask revealing his disfigured face.

"Ugh." Adam said in disgust and we all stepped back.

"Dude, I have got to get you into a dermatologist." Douglas winced at his partner's appearance.

"What is that stuff all over his face?" Bree asked and I had to admit I was curious as well.

"You are no longer the only humans with bionics." Krane said and man this guy was creepy. He sounded like a narrator for a horror story.

"Krane agreed to fund my work so long as I shared my research with him. He implants every piece of bionic technology I design to make himself more powerful." Douglas explained.

"Well, I hope he got a good personality, 'cause what's on the outside—Yikes." I couldn't help but smile at my own joke.

"Enough! Let's go. You have work to do." Krane said to Douglas before storming out of the room.

"Isn't he cool?" Douglas gushed.

"You can cart out all the freaks you want. It's not going to keep us here." Bree said and Adam and I nodded in support.

"Oh, I beg to differ." Douglas laughed as he activated the device. Two metallic rings floated from the floor and spun around us.

"Whoa, cool. Giant ring toss! Gotta give you credit, you're evil, but fun!" Adam said.

"They're titanium energy rings. They create an impenetrable force field that nothing can escape." Douglas explained.

"I smell a challenge." Adam sang. He kicked the rings, only to be shocked by the force field"

"I smell burning flesh." Douglas sang back, and I couldn't hold back my smirk.

"What do you want with us this time, Douglas?" Bree asked.

"Oh no, I'm not falling for that. First I tell you my plan, then something goes wrong, then you use it against me, not gonna happen!" Douglas exclaimed.

"It doesn't matter what you're planning. I'm sure that Mr. Davenport, Maddie, and Leo are looking for us already. They'll be here any minute to take us home." I fought.

"Oh yeah, there's no place like home." He laughed "No, seriously. There's no place like home. I blew it up! And I don't think Maddie will be coming by anytime soon."

My stomach dropped at his words. What did he do to Maddie now? He started the footage and we could see Maddie, Leo, and Mr. Davenport in the Lab. An explosion started and the three ran towards the elevator. Maddie pushed Leo and Mr. Davenport into the elevator before the doors closed but got stuck in the explosion herself. She was slammed head first into the wall, then fell onto the floor as the rubble buried over her.

"Maddie!" Bree cried out.

"What did you do to her?" Adam asked in anger.

I was doing everything I could to block Spike out at this moment. I couldn't even bare to open my eyes.

"Yup. Hope you backed up your music libraries." Douglas added passively.

Davenport House (Leo's POV)-

"Please don't text "Hurry home" when we're in a helicopter, I left my lunch all over the Rosenblatts' roof." I said to my mother as we came in.

"So what happened? Where are the kids?" She asked.

"Douglas got to them before we did." He explained.

"Your brother, again? Okay, you are done complaining about my mother." My mom exclaimed.

"We have no idea where they are, but they're smart, they will figure out a way to escape...Well, two of them will." Big D said in hope.

"I do have some good news. The FBI finished their investigation and proved you were cyber hacked." Mom celebrated.

"So I'm getting all my money back?" He asked hopefully.

"...No. All the money was stolen, you're still broke." She said sadly.

"But I'm getting all my stuff back, right? My boats, my cars, my planes?" He asked and it was actually kind of sad.

"Just the house. But the good news is that now we can all move back in together!" She tried cheering him up.

"...Not even like a jet-ski or a motorcycle with one wheel?" He pleaded.

"Uh guys there's actually something I need to tell you." I cut in.

"What is it Leo?" Big D focused on me and let his complaints go.

"It's Maddie." I took a deep breath. "She's out of operation. She has been since yesterday."

"Why didn't you say anything? Is she okay?" Big D asked.

"All her injuries were treated and she's healing well. But there's one thing. She has retrograde amnesia." I said warily.

"What does that mean?" My mom asked in fear.

"It means that she won't remember any of the events or people in her life. She might remember some things from early childhood but most likely she won't remember any of us." He explained sorrowfully.

"She was dismissed from the hospital earlier today. Alex asked if they could come over. The doctor said that being in a familiar place with friends and family might help." I explained.

"Yes of course. Anything to help Maddie." He said.

"So what are you going to do about the kids?" My mom asked.

"Well, they're not gonna come back here because they still don't think it's safe. I just wish there was some way we could get a message to them and let them know everything's alright." I said after texting Alex.

"Well the only thing I can do remotely is update Chase's software. Wait. Maybe that's it! Maybe I can embed a cyber message into the update. Leo, find us a computer!" Big D said.

"Got it." I looked around the empty room first and went off to look for a computer.

Warehouse (Chase's POV)-

It took me a bit but I was finally able to calm Spike down enough to think for myself. "Guys, something's happening to me. I'm getting a tingling sensation."

"Aw, you hear that Bree? Pretty soon he'll have a baby mustache." Adam teased and Bree cooed.

"No! I just got a software update on my chip. That's really weird. Why would I just—Wait. Mr. Davenport must be trying to send us a message." I opened the holographic message and it played in front of us.

"Guys, I know Douglas has you. Leo and I are doing everything we can to find you. But if you can escape, come home. Perry has agreed to keep our bionic secret. Can we do that again? I just feel like this hologram makes me look fat." Mr. Davenport said looking off camera.

"Mr. Davenport's okay!" I said knowing the unsaid fact was that we didn't know if Maddie was okay. He said him and Leo. Not Maddie.

"Was he wearing guy-liner?" Bree asked.

"Now we just have to find a way to get out of here." I said ignoring Bree.

"What if I use my blast wave abilities to destroy the rings?" Adam offered.

"But if you do that, you'll destroy the rings and everything around us—including us!" Bree pointed out. Adam nodded.

"But we'll be free." He added.

"Here's an idea: How 'bout we come up with a plan where we escape and survive?" I tried and he gave me a look.

"Wait a second, if these rings are titanium, can't you just use your magnetism app to repel them apart?" Bree asked.

"Douglas would expect that, just like he would expect me to use my molecular kinesis to manipulate them." I explained.

"So do both. He wouldn't expect that." Adam shrugged.

"Adam, you can't use two abilities at the same time." I fought.

"Why not?" He fought.

"Because...I don't know. We've never tried it before." I'm surprised Maddie hadn't tried that with us before.

"Well, I say you try it now and if your head explodes, the survivors will move on to Plan B." Adam smiled.

"...Okay. I'll give it a try." It was really the only plan we had so why not try. "Activating magnetism app. ...And molecular kinesis."

"Focus, Chase." Adam whispered and I dropped my hands.

"When you tell me to focus it makes me not focus!" I explained before trying again.

"You can do it!" Bree encouraged but it really wasn't helping.

"Stop talking!" I chastised. I focused on breaking the rings and they separated leaving pieces flying across the room.

"Way to go, Chase!" Bree said and the room began to spin.

"Oh, man. Thought for sure his head was gonna explode." As soon as Adam said the the world went dark and I felt my feet leave the ground.

Davenport house (Leo's POV)-

I was waiting in the living room. Alex said he was bringing Maddie over. I was weird not knowing what my best friend would be like.

Before I could prepare myself anymore there was a knock at the door.

"Hey Alex. Hey Maddie." I said when I opened the door. Maddie stood behind Alex taking in the sight of the mansion.

I took in the sight of my best friend and things did not look great. Maddie stood on the front porch with her hair barely reaching past her shoulders, she had bandages on her neck and cheek, and she was heavily relying on her crutches instead of her left leg. She looked like a different person, being uncomfortable in her own skin.

"You guys want to come in?" I asked and the siblings nodded before following me into the living room.

"You have a really nice house." Maddie said. It was kinda funny to see this side of her. I loved Maddie but it was rare to see her out of her depth. Now that's everything.

"Thanks. I'm Leo by the way." I said, realizing that she still seemed confused.

"Oh cool." She sat on the couch and put her crutches to the side.

Alex grabbed my arm pulling me further to talk in private. "I haven't told her about any of the bionic stuff yet. Only that the Davenports are her best friends and that Chase is her boyfriend. I didn't know where to go from there."

"Yeah. Maybe we should hold off on telling her about bionics. It might be too much." I agreed. We turned back to find Maddie still on the couch.

"So, uh- how do we know each other?" She asked nervously.

"We actually met because you are my step dad's lab assistant." She nodded as she tried to take everything in. "It was kinda funny when we first met. I was with Mr. Davenport, Adam, Bree, and Chase in the lab and you just walked in. I was freaking out and you just made a snarky comment."

"Of course she would." Alex laughed and I could see a hint of a smile on Maddie's face.

Before she could ask another question Big D came in and froze when he saw Maddie. "Does he always do that?" She asked.

"No. We were all just worried about you." I explained and he started heading towards us.

"You must be Mr. Davenport." Maddie offered her hand and Big D took it awkwardly.

"I am. It's nice to see you doing well Maddie." He said calmly, then my mom joined us too.

"Oh, Maddie." She said in pure joy seeing that Maddie was alive and that she would be okay.

"Mrs. Davenport?" She assumed and my mother tried to contain herself as she moved across the room to join Maddie on the couch. Key word: tried. She wrapped Maddie up in a hug which surprised Maddie as she just sat there.

"Still no word from the kids?" She asked as she released Maddie from her hold.

"No." Big D answered solemnly.

"You're a tech whiz. Isn't there something else you can do, like send them a text alert, or friend request, or have them paged?" We all questioned my mother's statement with a look. Even Maddie.

"I'll be honest, sometimes I wonder how you two ended up together." I said to Big D dryly.

"Look, all we can do is hope they got the cyber message. Until then, we just have to wait." Suddenly the front door opened.

"We're home!" Bree said as she led them in.

"Well, that didn't take long." I joked.

Once the three of them got inside all their eyes glued onto Maddie on the couch. I realized none of them knew what was going on with her and that could be very bad.

"Maddie!" "You're alive!" Bree and Adam ran in first. I watched as she quickly became flustered and she winced at the hug either from being in pain or not knowing Adam's strength. Probably both.

Once the two of them pulled back and saw the uncomfortable look on her face they stepped away. Chase went over to her much calmer than the others. The look on her face revealed everything. She was clearly still into Chase as she quickly became flustered but she no longer had that lovestruck look that the two used to share together.

Chase had probably put that together. He had a smile on for Maddie but it didn't reach his eyes. His eyes showed much more pain though. He was heartbroken. "Hey Maddie. I'm Chase." He offered his hand and she took it.

"Chase?" He nodded and she turned to Alex. "Like that Chase?"

"Yes, that Chase." Alex said sadly.

"Oh." She turned back to Chase. "I'm really sorry. I wish that I remembered you."

"I get it. It's not your fault." He sighed before joining his siblings again.

"I'm so glad you're safe. I was so worried." Mom said, trying to look on the bright side.

"You guys okay?" Big D asked.

"We're fine, but Douglas has a new partner." Chase added. He seemed like he was lost in his own mind.

"Eh, give it six months. Big one's super high maintenance." Adam add before crashing on the couch.

"He's some crazy billionaire named Victor Krane, and he's implanting himself with bionics. His face is disturbing." Chase shuddered in memory of his face.

"Yeah, he could definitely use some of your man makeup." Bree teased.

"I don't wear— It's bronzer!" Big D covered and Maddie let out a small laugh at this.

"He must be the guy who freed Douglas from the block of ice." I realized.

"I've never even heard of him, but I'm gonna find out who he is and how to stop him." Big D added and I looked over to see Maddie confused when I realized she didn't know about bionics anymore. Great.

"You guys must be starving. I'll get dinner started." My mom went over to the kitchen and I grabbed Adam and Bree to explain things to them.

"What did Maddie mean when she said she didn't remember Chase and why is she acting so weird?" Bree asked as soon as we were far enough.

"Look, when Douglas blew up the lab Maddie saved us but she got caught in the explosion. Her body will heal it's mainly just some burns and her leg got stitched up. But the blast also caused her to hit her head really hard and she got retrograde amnesia. Adam it means that she doesn't remember anything from before the blast." I explained.

"Will she get her memory back?" He asked.

"She should, we just don't know how long it could take." I said before we went back to join everyone else.

. . .

"So you three are bionic, there is now another evil bionic man none of you knew about, and there was an evil bionic android that's dead? And I know alot about bionics?" Maddie asked.

"Yep that's everything." I said thankful that Maddie still had her comprehension skills and didn't freak out.

Chase suddenly stood up off the couch and stepped in front of me. "Hey, what's up with your eyes?" He grabbed my collar and lifted me off the ground. "Hey! Hey! Easy on the chest hairs. I only have two."

Bree and Adam followed Chase in standing. "This fridge is empty. Why don't I just whip up a little tuna surprise?"

Adam grabbed Davenport and threw him across the "Adam, please don't throw him. You know how delicate your father is."

"What's happening?" Maddie asked nervously.

"Douglas must've enabled their Triton app. Look at their eyes. He's controlling them." Big D warned.

"Mom, watch out!" I yelled as Bree ran over to My mom.

"Forget the tuna, I'm about to open up a can of Bree surprise." She yelled as she fought Bree before Bree knocked her down.

Chase threw me to the ground before turning around and kicking Alex in the gut. He was knocked across the floor before Chase set his eyes on Maddie. Maddie stood up and tried stepping away as fast as she could with her crutches. Chase used his molecular kinesis to rip them from her hands making her crash to the floor. She winced on impact.

"Not cool man." She groaned. Maddie quickly used her position to sweep Chase's legs out from under him and stood up for herself. She put more of her weight on her right leg and grabbed a few knives from the counter next to her. Chase dodged every knife she threw and came within a few feet of her she tried fighting him off but he grabbed her using his molecular kinesis and drew her neck to his hand. He held Maddie up off the ground as he choked her. I had to to something to help so I grabbed a glass bowl and smashed it over his head making him drop Maddie.

"Great now I've got your attention." I added dryly before running to the otherside of the room. "Why aren't you going after Adam? He's the one who always picks on you. Quick, Adam! Make a short joke! Tell him he's got a doll-like body!" Chase cornered me between two boxes and levitated a heavy box over my head. "No, no, no. Chase, no."

"Donald! Do something!" My mom yelled.

"Chase don't drop it! Listen to me. The Triton app only controls your bionics. Not your human side. You have to fight it!" Big D said and I needed to reach him.

"Yes, Chase. Remember? All the great times we had? All the cool inventions we built? The time Trent made us bob for apples in the bathroom? Okay, that wasn't really cool, but we did it together. It's not working!" I yelled. How would I get out of this one.

"Keep trying! It's our only chance!" He said. Why couldn't they just back door this a my on off switch ourselves?

"I'm the one who showed you the real world, Chase. I taught you what it means to be a brother. A good one. Not like Adam is to you. Remember when I found you in the lab? Our first day of school?" I needed a different approach. "Chase, think about Maddie. She's the girl you fell in love with. You two were meant for each other. She needs You Chase. Look at her. Look at Maddie Chase! You see what you're doing to her! Remember Maddie Chase!

"Try and remember, Chase." Big D added.

I sent Maddie a look asking to help but she shied away, "Yeah, see? You, her? Together? You guys love each other. Come on, Chase. I know my brother's in there. Where is he, Chase? Where is he?" I pushed Chase moved his arm throwing the box across the room before fainting.

"Honestly, I did not think that was gonna work." Big D said and I sent him a look.

. . .

Alex helped Maddie up and Big D, Mom and I helped Chase.

"My head is killing me." Chase said.

"Really?" Maddie asked. This couldn't be good. "Cause I-" Alex wrapped an arm around her pinning her to his chest and put a hand over her mouth to silence her rant.

"It was Douglas' Triton App." I explained to Chase while keeping an eye on Maddie.

"He probably doesn't remember anything." Big D explained.

"Ugh! Why would you do that!" Alex exclaimed as a now released Maddie smirked.

"Clever beats strong any day." She teased Chase smiled as she used the same words he did when using that trick on Adam.

"Bree? What's wrong with your eyes?" Chase asked as Bree and Adam set their sights on him.

"Douglas is controlling them. You have to fight back!" Big D warned.

"I can't fight them! They're my-" Chase was cut off when Adam hit him in the chest with heat vision.

"Fight!" I yelled before the three siblings began to fight. Chase tried blocking Adam with a few crates but Adam just pushed them out of the way and zeroed in on Chase with his heat vision. Chase put up his force field to block the lasers but it wouldn't hold up to long.

"Adam's too strong! Chase can't hold out much longer!" Big D called out.

"Adam, stop! You're hurting him!" I tried reaching Adam.

"Can't you just talk him out of it like Leo did with Chase?" My mom asked.

"There's no time!" Big D explained.

"Wait, if Douglas is controlling them, can't Chase do the same thing? He's got that override app that takes over their bionics in emergencies." I said trying any ideas we could.

"It's too dangerous, he can't use two abilities at the same time!" Big D warned.

"No! I've done it before." Chase said as he fought to keep his force field up.

"Wait, why would you do that?! It puts too much stress on your system, you're lucky to be alive!" Big D chose this moment to chastise him.

"Hey, why don't you yell at him when he's not FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE!" I reprimanded and Davenport moved back into his hiding spot.

"I've got no choice! I have to try!" Chase said.

"I believe in you Chase!" I tried encouraging him.

"Stop talking! Activating override app." She connected to Bree and she fainted.

"Hurry! Your forcefield's about to collapse!" I warned.

"See? I told you, when he uses to abilities at the same time..." Big D started.

"Shut it!" We all yelled cutting him off.

Chase connected to Adam and switched his triton app off causing him to pass out the Chase followed quickly.

"Yes!" I cheered.

"He did it!" Big D said in surprise.

. . .

After the three of them woke up and we explained what happened they apologized profusely. Especially Chase to Maddie. I watched as Maddie tried to hold off but she eventually gave in and forgave Chase. They wanted to see the lab so we were riding the elevator down.

"This Krane person seems extremely dangerous, and having Douglas still out there, we're all gonna have to watch our backs more than ever." Big D warned.

"Quick question, um, is anyone on your side of the family not a deranged maniac?" Bree asked sarcastically.

"Do you guys remember anything when that Triton App thingy was going?" My mom asked.

"Tasha, we just got home, what's with the third degree?" Adam asked as the elevator stopped.

"Guys, what you're about to see is pretty disturbing." Big D warned as the doors opened.

We all walked out into the lab and took in all the damage.

"Wow." Bree said in disbelief.

"I was in here?" Maddie asked no one in particular as she looked around.

"The whole reason I built this place was to protect you, and I couldn't even do that. I feel like I failed you." Big D said sadly.

"Well, I'm glad someone said it." Adam said dim wittedly.

"You didn't fail us. If you hadn't brought us together as a family, and let us live like normal kids, we would never have been able to defeat the Triton App." Chase said. He was right though without their human side we wouldn't have won.

"Thanks, guys. You're right. I am handsome and brilliant." The man added living in his delusion,

"I didn't-" Chase tried.

"No, no. Let him go, it's how he copes." I explained.
