Chapter Eighty-Four: Help From Above
Just a note from the author: First of all, I just wanted to thank you guys for your patience as yes, if you haven't noticed by now I am a Christian and I'm pretty sure those of you who follow the Harry Snape series know by now that I add a little of my spirituality into these stories here and there because in this world they were born with these powers and not all witchcraft is evil.
Second of all, I'm about to add a new oc and he's going to make this story a bit more spiritual than it already is so just bear with me. If you like him, I'll go ahead and send you a link to my original story at the end of the chapter that he's in. :) Now I'll finish off the beginning part of this chapter with a warning. Also, if you're a Christian Potterhead as well I would really like you to leave a comment in the reviews and tell me what you think. :D
Warning: This chapter has one of the main characters contemplating suicide. If you have any triggers I strongly suggest you skip this chapter and don't worry you'll be able to catch up later.
All of a sudden Draco and Hermione heard somebody clearing their throat behind them. Judging by the tone alone they presumed it to be a woman. They slowly broke the kiss and pulled away from each other and turned around. For there standing behind them was a short and squat woman all dressed in pink and resembled a rather large pale toad.
"There shall be none of that in these walls." She said with a wag of her finger.
"You can't tell me not to kiss my girlfriend!" Draco snapped back at her.
"I'm not talking about snogging Mr. Malfoy,.. I'm talking about a wizard with pureblood mixing with dirty blood." She told him while narrowing her eyebrows and glaring at Hermione while Draco quickly withdrew his wand.
"You'll pay for that one!" He cried out.
"No Draco!" Hermione hollered on the top of her lungs before she looked up at the ceiling. "Please help us." She pleaded inside a whisper and before Draco could attack, he found himself frozen and unable to move.
"What the hell?" He questioned with uncertainty while the toady turned back to look at him.
"Detention Mr. Malfoy, and fifty points from Slytherin." She told him before she walked away, and Harry finally returned from the lavatory.
"Damn it!" Draco exclaimed still unable to move.
"What did I miss? Did somebody put on a jinx on him?" Harry wondered.
"No, I prayed for help because,.." Hermione began.
"Because that bitch called Hermione dirty blood!" Draco snapped. "And now I have another detention and I cost Slytherin another fifty points, and the year hasn't even started yet." He explained as Harry heaved a sigh.
"What have I told you about turning the other cheek?" He questioned him.
"Well right now it would be really nice if I could turn anything." He responded while still struggling to lift his leg and before he knew it, he had fallen over onto the ground. "That was the weirdest and scariest shit that I've ever encountered in my life, and I come from a family of death eaters." He said as a few tears trickled down Hermione's cheek and she turned around and hurried out of the room.
"Draco, Hermione!" Harry exclaimed while pointing over at her as Draco leapt to his feet and then turned to watch her leave.
"Jesus!" He shouted as he ran after her and Harry hurried behind him.
"You shouldn't be blasphemous." Harry told him.
"I'm not! I'm really calling for Jesus to help us, so she doesn't do anything stupid!" He cried as they ran up the staircase while meanwhile Hermione finished making it to the top of Gryffindor tower and slowly started walking closer to the edge. Breathing heavily as she did so and accidentally kicking some pebbles over it.
"It's an awfully long way down Miss Granger." She heard an unfamiliar voice say behind her and as she whirled around, she saw a man that she had never seen before. He had somewhat short dirty blonde hair and blue-greenish eyes. He was wearing a white T-shirt with a colored picture of the earth on it, black jeans, and black and white sneakers with a bit of whiskers on his chin.
"Who are you?" She asked him.
"David Goliath James at your service Madam." He began with a grin. "But all my friends call me DJ." He told her.
"You're American. Does that mean you're April's father or something?" She wondered while he slightly nodded at her.
"You could say that." He told her as he continued to grin at her. "So, back to the important matter at hand. What are you doing up here? Draco's crazy about you and you mean the world to your other friends and family." He told her.
"Well, I don't know how you know so much about me, but Draco would be much better without me. It seems like all I do is get him into trouble with his family and now even the professors for being a mudblood." She told him while glancing down at the ground shamefully.
"Kid, let me tell you a story." He began while wrapping an arm around her. "Once upon a time there was this little boy that came from a very poor family. He was mocked all the time and people thought he was crazy even though he could do extraordinary things. Then one day, they sentenced him to death." He told her.
"You know surprisingly this isn't making me feel any better." She told him sarcastically before he let out a chuckle.
"Let me finish, let me finish." He told her. "That's when something happened that has been talked about for an extremely long time. He was resurrected,.. and that boy,.. was my son." He told her and that's when suddenly it sank in and her eyes widened while she turned back to look at him and her mouth gaped wide open as his body was now glowing.
"It can't be! There was only one human in the history of the whole entire world to have that kind of power and he wasn't a wizard he was_" she began.
"The Son of God perhaps?" He questioned her with a grin.
"So then,.. you're saying,.. that you're God." She realized.
"The one and only." He replied proudly. "But let's let it be our little secret. After all, might as well since right now you're the only one who can see me anyways. Anyhow, my son had a great destiny ever since even before he was born and so do you Hermione. I know, I know,.. you'll get a lot of people in the muggle non-magical world saying that witches and wizards should be hung and burned at the stake but that's only because they just don't understand that good magic exists.
Now, why did I give you this power you may ask? Well, basically it's what I just said. I planned for everybody to have a destiny about them when I planned creation and I trusted that you would know what to do with this power once I gave it to you. However, then you get wizards like Voldemort which is pretty much the Diablo of the wizarding world." He told her.
"I thought the devil's name was Satan." Hermione said as she had grown up on a background of Christianity instead.
"Diablo, Satan, Lucifer, they're all one in the same exactly like the trinity. My point is, they're all bad news. They were gifted with power and then they took advantage of it and let it go to their heads. Not the ultimate power, but power all the same." He told her.
"So then, what do you want me to do?" She asked him.
"Just hold on and be strong for now. You'll know once it happens. Right now, it's for me to know and you to find out." He told her with a grin as he pointed at himself and then at her. "Catch ya later baby girl!" He exclaimed before vanishing out of sight."
Okay, here you go, and I promise that all chapters won't be like that, but I wanted to make a point in this chapter of how I believe (if it were real) how an actual wizarding world and Christianity could coexist. Here's the link for my original story "Rock God." :) (Just copy and paste it if the link itself doesn't work.)
