February 21st Davenport House (Maddie's POV)-

"Hey, Adam, you're just in time. I'm having a viewing party for tonight's big lunar eclipse!" Chase explained.

"Yep, all dudes, except Maddie. Definitely a Chase party." Adam teased. I couldn't help but smirk at this.

"Really Maddie?" He groaned. "I thought you were supposed to be on my side."

"Are you saying there's other girls that you want here?" I asked as I put my hand on his chest and he got all flustered. "Don't worry. I'm kidding and I am on your side."

"If you stay I'll share my freeze dried pellets with you, they're just like the ones astronauts eat. Each cube contains an entire meal. This is turkey, peas, and mashed potatoes." Chase offered.

"Wow, congrats, Chase. You actually found a way to ruin food." Adam said with a voice dripping in sarcasm.

"No, I made it better." Chase smiled before eating a second freeze dried cube.

"I don't think you should be eating so many of those. They all have the calories of a full meal." I warned.

"I'm sure I'll be fine." I shrugged.

"Come on, guys, you're gonna miss the lunar eclipse." Davenport had just come in from setting up his telescope on the porch. "I haven't been this excited since the meteor shower of '98."

"I think 98's the last time I actually took a shower." Adam laughed.

"That's the last time I had a normal life." I laughed and Adam nodded.

"I cannot wait to see this!" Chase got positioned in front of the camera to see the eclipse.

"You're gonna have to." Davenport said before shoving Chase out of the way. "It's beautiful."

"Let me see, let me see." Chase tried again.

"My turn." Adam yelled before shoving Chase out of the way once again. "Wow! Cool! What am I lookin' at?"

"Adam, a lunar eclipse is a rare and breathtaking event. The moon is passing directly behind the earth blocking the light that normally illuminates it." I explained as I helped Chase up and Adam nodded along.

"Wow! Nothing more exciting than a slow-moving shadow." He said dryly.

"Watching a lunar eclipse takes time and patience. We're gonna be here all night." Davenport added.

"Oh, great, so it's like a sleepover, minus the fun." He wasn't completely wrong.

"Hey, what are you guys doing?" Bree asked as she came outside to join us.

"Lookin' at the lunar eclipse." Chase said as he tried to look through the telescope once again.

"Oh, cool! Let me see!" Bree shoved him out of the way this time.

"Oh, come on!" Chase groaned and I helped him up once again.

"Now that's worth watching." Adam laughed. The rest of them headed inside and Chase finally got his chance to see.

"You like what you see?" I asked.

He looked up and gave me one of the cheesiest smiles I've seen. "It's alright but I've seen better."

"You're the worst." I said but my laugh gave away what I was really feeling. He took my hand and led me inside.

We walked past Leo as he spoke into his camera. "Leo Dooley's video log of the lunar eclipse. I'm recording tonight's events as they happen in real time. No editing, no filters, and no special effects. That's right, folks. He's as old as he appears."

"Hey, what are you filming?" Chase asked. I pulled him down to the couch with me.

"The bizarre events that happen during lunar eclipses. Lakes go dry, rivers turn red-" Leo started going off on a tangent.

"People won't stop talking." Adam added and I fist bumped him.

"Nice one."

"Leo, please tell me you don't buy into all that lame folklore." Davenport said in disbelief.

"It's not folklore, it's true. During the last eclipse, I saw a bird fly backwards and no one believed me!" Leo fought.

"It's not that we didn't believe you, we just don't care about the things you say." Bree said from her spot across me.

"And even if we did, a bird flying backwards isn't some big discovery. It's just mildly weird." I added.

"Leo, an eclipse is an astronomical event, okay? It's not witchcraft, it's science. Nothing bad is gonna happen tonight." Davenport really had the worst timing cause right as he said that Perry ran in. "And I spoke too soon."

"Quick, everybody hide. Get down, get down, get down, get down!" Leo dived on to the floor but none of us followed.

"Principal Perry, what's wrong?" Davenport asked with the diplomacy he has from work.

"It might be faster to ask her what's right." Bree added dryly.

"Okay, I was up on my neighbor's roof borrowing their solar panels..." Borrowing solar panels? "when I saw it."

"Saw what?" Leo said further encouraging Perry.

"The spacecraft. The aliens are using the lunar eclipse to hide their spaceship and invade earth." She explained.

"Yeah, I read about this in line at the supermarket. It's true, aliens live among us. Oh, and Ryan Seacrest has a great meatloaf recipe. The secret-crackers." Adam said seriously.

"You see? You see, I told you. Weird things are gonna happen tonight. First, Principal Perry sees a spaceship, and then, Adam claims to have read something." Leo was being a bit over dramatic.

"Look, there are no such things as aliens. Okay? It's all made up. There's a reason it's called science fiction." Davenport added.

"Hey, I know UFO's. I spent a lot of nights sleeping alone in the desert, and not just because my family dumped me there and drove off." Maybe that's why Perry is so terrible. "I definitely saw a spaceship tonight."

"Just like the time you "definitely" saw Bigfoot, and it was just your toes in a mirror?" Chase said causing us all to laugh.

"It was dark!" She fought.

"Sorry." He added sheepishly.

"Look, I know what I saw, and when the aliens invade, I'll be safely barricaded in your underground lab." She ran off towards the lab and we watched as she ran off.

"Well, on the bright side, another girl actually showed up to Chase's party." Adam laughed and I wacked him over the head for that one.

Davenport Lab (Chase's POV)-

We walked into the lab to find Perry barricaded behind all the furniture. "Don't anybody move."

"Why not?" Davenport asked.

"I want to remember exactly what you look like before you get ripped apart by aliens." I rolled my eyes and went over to my workspace which thankful Perry hadn't touched.

"Do you have any redeeming qualities?" Bree asked and I was wondering the same thing.

"Is having violent mood swings considered redeeming? I ASKED YOU A QUESTION!" Perry exclaimed, proving her point.

"Okay, I'm going to put this whole alien nonsense to rest once and for all with real science." He guided us all over to the workbench to see the lunar eclipse. "This is NASA's satellite feed of the lunar eclipse and as you maniacs can see-"

"Wait. Something just moved in front of the moon. Look, right there in the shadow." Leo pointed out some debris that was moving across the frame.

"He's right." Chase said.

"It's the spaceship. Like an infected mole, I can spot 'em a mile away, or a foot away since I got a chunk of 'em on my hands." We all groaned in disgust and stepped away from her.

"I'm sure there's a simple explanation for that. It's probably just space debris." Davenport said what I had thought.

"No, trust me. I watch a lot of alien documentaries. This is the first phase of their plan." Perry explained.

"What plan? Talk. And look right into the lens. Just direct your breath that way." Leo guided.

"First, they hover and analyze the planet." She explained. "Then, they infect someone and use their body as a host to multiply. And then-"

Davenport stepped into the frame and interrupted. "The movie ends, and everybody goes home. Good night, crazy."

"No, let her finish." Leo pushed.

"And then, the infected human lays alien eggs, and in a few days, they take over the planet." Perry continued.

"You cannot be taking this seriously. Why are you gasping?" Bree asked.

"I enjoy a good gasp. I'm a gasper." Adam said thoughtfully before Chase's stomach growled.

"What was that?" Perry asked.

"My stomach is killing me. Must've been all those astronaut pellets I ate." Chase groaned.

"Told you so." I sang and he gave me a look. I rubbed his back to help and ease his pain.

"You were infected by an alien!" Perry accused

"I was not infected by an alien!" He fought.

"How can you be sure? You were gone for 15 minutes." Leo added with suspicion.

"I was in the bathroom. Should I invite you next time?" Chase exclaimed.

" I'm telling you. It's only a matter of time before his stomach explodes, and five eggs pop out. Six, if he's the queen." Perry said in a weird voice.

"So, you think that Chase here is just gonna start squirtin' out alien squid babies?" Bree asked and I was on the same page.

"I'm gonna be an uncle." Adam teased.

"Okay I was with you before but now you're just making up nonsense." They look at me to explain. "There's no way he could just start squirting out alien babies."

"There's only one way to find out what's goin' on in there. I'm gonna need two clamps, a roll of paper towels...and a machete." Perry said before she charged towards Chase, he bolted from his chair to run from Perry and we all followed them out to the living room.

"Leave me alone!" Chase yelled.

"I'm not gonna hurt you. I'm just gonna split you open and destroy the alien babies inside you." Perry said calmly.

"No!" He ran from her again.

"Chase was not infected by an alien. Settle down, Captain Kirk." Davenport began to push Perry towards the door.

"Hey, I've been around enough truck stops at 3am to know when something weird's going on. And trust me, there's a bunch of E.T's living in his little boy guts." Perry suddenly grabbed on to Chase and we all fought to pull her off.

"I don't know what's more shocking- Perry thinking Chase is an alien, or two bionic people struggling to subdue her." Bree said before we finally freed Chase from Perry's grasp.

"What if Chase really did get taken over by aliens? They're gonna say "take me to your leader," but he is our leader. This is so confusing!" Adam exclaimed.

"Stop it. Okay, you're being ridiculous. No one is an alien. Everything's fine." His timing is really just not good. We all watched in horror when green slime began pouring from Perry's ears.

"Then why is that green stuff oozing out of her ears?" Leo pointed out and Davenport turned to see.

"It's probably just another ear infection from that robust lake bacteria." Has she ever heard of personal hygiene. "Every Sunday, me and the gals go bare-handed trout wrangling."

"Ew. It's dripping all over the floor." Chase said and I gagged at the sight.

"I want to lick it." Adam said in a daze. We all rushed to stop him.

"Principal Perry." Davenport said warily.

"Uh-huh?" She asked.

"I'm very concerned about you...making a mess in my house. Out. Let's go." He pushed Perry towards the door.

"I'm fine." Her voice suddenly changed to a more demonic sounding voice. "This planet is ours now!"

"That's probably just the bacteria talking." Bree said with a fearful voice.

Perry or the alien threw up all over the carpet. "Everybody calm down. There is no such thing as aliens."

Perry roared in response to Davenport and he promptly fainted. Adam, Bree, and Chase all moved for cover behind the couch. The latter pulling me with him.

"Got a scientific explanation for that?" Leo asked pointing his camera at Davenport.

"Well, it is cold and flu season." He tried sheepishly. Perry started licking Davenport with a four foot long alien tongue.

"Still think it's a cold?" Bree asked.

"No, I'm on board. She's an alien." He said still in a horrified daze.

"My spawn will wipe out humankind!" It roared before Perry shifted back. "Hey, why is everybody staring at me?"

"You have a little schmutz on your...everywhere." I said to Perry.

"Okay, obviously, Principal Perry has been taken over by an alien. She doesn't realize that it's wrestling for control of her body." Chase observed.

"Wow, the aliens want her? Man, how bad are things on that planet?" Adam asked and he made a really good point.

"I'm starvin'. Feel like I'm eatin' for six." Perry didn't even realize what she meant.

"She's eating for six. She's gonna have alien babies. I don't want to see that! Don't make me see that!" At this point Davenport was just descending slowly into madness.

"Uh! Family meeting!" Chase guided everyone across the room.

"This is bad. This is really, really bad. What do we do?!" The scientist continued to panic.

"Well, I guess we can check PANICKING off the list!" Leo exclaimed.

"Okay! All right, we need to subdue Perry until we can find a way to get the alien out." I lost focus on Chase as I saw Perry eating a pizza box.

"Okay, I'm pretty sure the aliens wants out of her, too. It cannot be good in there!" Bree added.

"Aliens exist? Everything I know about the universe is wrong. If I can't trust science, I don't even know what's real anymore. Am I even good-looking?" Davenport was almost completely lost now. I was kind of sad to see the man who had such a big impact on my life like this.

"I'm a little more concerned about the way she looks!" Bree pointed to Perry who now had scaly patches on her skin.

"All right, we have to get her down to the lab and get her trapped in a capsule! Maybe then we can find a way to save her." Chase explained.

"Wait. If aliens and Perry are wrestling for control of her body, maybe Perry'll win." Adam offered.

"Does it look like she's winning?" We watched as the alien started eating plates.

Davenport Lab (Chase's POV)-

"Come on, girl, come on. Eh-eh-eh. No No dessert plates till you finish your dinner plates. Oh, good girl." Adam guided her in with a stack of plates.

"Come on, Adam, lead her right into the capsule, keep going." Leo for whatever reason was still filming. "We watch in wonder as the alien devours the last of my mother's wedding china." He narrated.

"Hey, why am I eatin' a plate? What's goin' on with my skin? It's clearin' up." Perry laughed.

"She's back to normal Perry, what do we do now?" Adam asked.

"You got anything, Mr. Davenport?" We all turned to see Mr. Davenport in the same bunker that Perry made earlier.

"It licked me. It licked me!" He repeated over and over.

"They say a crisis brings out the best in people. This is not one of those people." Leo said to the camera.

"Hey, guys, if Principal Perry thinks that Chase is the alien, why don't we just use him as bait to trap her in one of the capsules?" Bree asked. I was honestly not the biggest fan of this idea.

"Great idea. Quick, Chase, act like an alien." Adam said to me.

"What? I don't know how to act like an alien."

"Just try." I tried writhing and groaning.

"That's a zombie." Bree said, so I tried hissing.

"That's a vampire." Adam said. I tried a few noises combined.

"That's you." Bree said.

"No it's not." Maddie said to me before Bree and Adam went over to Perry.

"Principal Perry, you were right! Chase is an alien! Help us get him into his capsule so that we can destroy him!" Bree cried.

"Go, shoo, shoo!" Perry said pushing me into my capsule.

"All right, I'm in my capsule. Ready to be incinerated." I said sarcastically.

"Great. I'll finish off Chase, then we'll deal with the alien." Adam said.

"No!" Bree fought.

"The on switch is in that capsule. I'd push it, but ladies first." Leo said to Perry. She stared at him blankly. "You. You push it."

"Oh!" She started moving towards the capsule but stopped half way.

"Not so fast." The alien called out and turned around.

"Aaah!" Leo screamed as the alien grabbed his arm.

"Woo, it's hot in here. Aah! What is that?" Perry said as she finally noticed the alien claw.

"Oh, come on. Have you not figured it out yet? There's a plate-eating alien inside you." Adam said bluntly.

"No. Get it out, get it out!" Perry called.

"Leave it in, leave it in!" The alien fought.

"No, no, don't worry. I can fight it off. When you have as many diseases as I have, you build up a lot of immunities. Aaah!" Perry moved around the lab as she tried fighting the alien inside of her.

"Guys, we're getting nowhere." Adam groaned.

"What's your bright idea?" I asked.

"I don't know. Maybe if I hit her hard enough, the alien will just pop right out." Did he really think that that would work?

"Don't you think that's a little extreme?" Bree asked.

"Must multiply and conquer earth. Large forehead girl goes down first!" The alien said pointing towards both girls.

"What are you look at me for? She's clearly pointing at you." Maddie added as she stepped further away from the alien.

"What are you waiting for? Punch her." Adam followed Bree's orders but the alien caught his punch and pushed him back.

"It's stronger than Adam. We're all goners!" Mr. Davenport cried. He ran out of the lab in fear.

"Get a grip man!" Maddie called after him.

"Any other bright ideas?" I asked.

"Tell you what. You guys discuss, I've got a thing." Leo started to step towards the exit.

"This is ridiculous." Maddie grabbed her tablet and collapsed the floor tile that was below Perry. She fell into the storage unit.

"Why didn't you do that before?" I asked.

"She was never in the right spot to do it." She said tiredly.

We started think about what we could possibly do to get rid of her and Maddie and I figured that using heat would be the best thing to do to get the alien out. We got a few weapons that used heat out so we could use them against her. Maddie raised the platform up again and we found Perry asleep on the floor.

"Chowing down on all those plates must've really tuckered her out. She's sleeping. Now's our chance to trap her." I said as we lifted our weapons.

"Good idea." Bree and Maddie moved into positions across from each other.

"I just wanna get one quick close-up." Leo moved next to Perry with his Camera.

"Leo, no!" "No!" "No, no!" "Stop!" We all called out but he wouldn't listen.

"When the creature is at rest, it almost seems gentle." Leo said to the camera.

"Leo, be careful." Adam said once again.

"Shh! Don't wake her up." Leo called back which ironically woke her up. Perry grabbed him and pulled him into a headlock.

"Stop her. We can't let her escape!" I yelled. The alien threw up on the ground in front of them leaving an acidic puddle.

"I'm filming my own demise!" Leo yelled as Perry dragged him off. Adam and Bree took the lead following Leo but Maddie and I stopped for Mr. Davenport.

"We're waiting!" I called him.

"Oh, so we're all going." He finally joined us and we ran after Leo.

Mission Creek High School (Maddie's POV)-

"Leo, what are you doing?" Chase asked as we entered the school.

"You know, just chillin'. Hangin' out in an alien web, waiting for the alien eggs to hatch and EAT ME!" We finally took in the alien eggs that were sitting in the middle of the school lobby.

"Where did those come from?" Bree asked.

"Well, it wasn't the Easter bunny!" Leo exclaimed and I honestly didn't know what horrors he faced. "Those things are gonna hatch soon, and when they do, I'm dinner."

"No, dinner was hours ago. Technically, you'll be a midnight snack." Adam corrected. It was a correction we didn't need but it still happened.

"Wait! We can keep her from multiplying. Adam, use your heat vision to take out the pods." Chase said using the heat idea we had.

Right as Adam started melting them down Perry came back out to see. "Noooo!"

"The mothership must be able to sense danger. It's calling the alien home." We watched as she got beamed up and Leo got released from the alien slime nest.

"I'm free!" He cheered.

"Wow! I can't believe they took Perry." Adam said in disbelief.

"She's gone forever." Davenport said from... the trash can? How did he even get in there?

"Well, I'm sure we'll miss her someday." Leo said without even a hint of grief.

The tracker beam lit up again, Perry's body returned on the ground with a note. Chase grabbed it and worked to interpret it. "Hey, look. They left a note. It's in an alien language. I'll do my best to translate. "If this thing represents humankind, you can keep your planet. We're moving on to Mars."

"Wow! They really are a higher intelligence." Davenport said as we looked at the tractor beam.

...

"Wow! They really are a higher intelligence." Davenport said as we looked at the tractor beam.

THE END

"There you go! Bionic family versus alien principal. What do you think?" Leo asked as we finished watching his short film.

"Great job, Leo. That is guaranteed to win this year's amateur sci-fi film festival." Davenport praised.

"Perry as an alien, yes. Three bionic teens, I don't buy it." Adam said skeptically.

"You know who really nailed it, though? Mr. Davenport. I totally believed you were scared." Chase said, giving a clap on the back to the scientist.

"Well, I am quite the actor. But in real life, it's gonna take a lot more than some alien to scare me." I put the alien glove on and reached around Davenport to tap his shoulder. "Oh!" He shouted in fear and we all laughed.

A/N: Here's the next chapter. I don't know when the next one will be posted but I am working on it and I have a lot of stuff coming up it just needs to be put into place. Please keep reading and voting.
