I am so freaking excited for this story, Bryce is special even for my series and I love it so deeply and profoundly.

P.S. Piper is my favorite sister by far! I just adore her cute face, beautiful smile, and her great storylines. Can't stand Phoebe at all really... though I adore her powers.

Bryce was amazed, the Book of Shadows had countless pages on magic, monsters and so much more. It was enticing, he always loved reading and mythology so this was utter bliss for him. Despite his joy, he found nothing about himself or literally any beings other than White Lighters that could heal. He had been reading for an hour, while Piper sorted through boxes and Leo worked on a window in the nursery he was building for their unborn child. It was a sweet scene, one he enjoyed despite the horror show that was his day so far. He had actually called off of work for a few days, having two weeks of time off to play with. Thankfully the scheduler liked him so she put in time for him freely. This would, he hoped, give him time to get a grip on the changes in his life.

After a while, Piper suddenly piped up making him jump. " Leo, I can't believe you found all of our baby stuff."

Leo grunted. "Grams was a bit of a pack rat."

Piper giggled. "Baby book. My baby book. Oh, look how squishy I was."

"You were so adorable.""

"Leo, you can't even see the picture."

"Well, I'm your Whitelighter. I've been watching you ever since you were a baby."

Piper looked uncomfortable. "Uh-huh, yeah, see that's too creepy to think about. I never knew that mum kept a baby book for me."

"Well, why not? I mean, you started one for our daughter." A weird feeling washed through Bryce at that moment, making him look back at Piper. Something told him she wasn't having a girl. The urge to put a hand to her tummy was strong. "I always thought you and your mum were a lot alike."

"It's strange to think that she went through everything I'm going through right now. I don't think you ever really know how much your mother loves you until you become one yourself."

A thud drew their attention, making Bryce look up at the man who had apparently dropped a window on himself. " Ow!"

Piper looked close to laughing. "Oh, are you okay?"

Leo groaned some more. "Yeah."

"Here, um, why don't you let me help you?"

"No, it's heavy. Bryce can help me." Bryce got up and moved over to the man, more than willing to help.

Piper walked over to him as well, still holding the album. "Well, see, that's kind of why I wanted to help you with it and he's an innocent and our guest, not right to use him really."

"Piper, when are you gonna accept the fact that you're pregnant?"

"When are you gonna stop being so overprotective?"

" Look, all I'm suggesting is that you slow down."

"Okay, Leo, I'm not gonna be one of those women that sits on her ass and eats Bonbons throughout her whole pregnancy. That's just not the woman you married. Besides, generations of Halliwell women raised perfectly normal children before me. They all got through it and so will I."

Leo looked sad. "Not all of them." His pain was almost palpable, and Bryce felt it.., literally, like a wave of pain that washed through him, Like heat only sharper and more abstract.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

" How far along in the book have you gotten?" Piper flipped through the rest of the book and the pages are blank. "There was no one there to finish it after your mother died."

" Oh." And this time it was Piper who unleashed a wave of pain, making Bryce dizzy.

" Like I said, you are a lot like your mother. She was careless too. She thought she was invincible. She was wrong."

Feeling like he was intruding, he made his way with the book quietly downstairs, wanting to give the two sweethearts some alone time. He sat on the couch and started to go back through the pages and as he did so... a thought came to mind.

"This is basic poetry... maybe I can cast a spell of my own..." Biting his lip, he turned upstairs then nodded. "I need answers..." Closing his eyes, he thought about what he needed. He had been writing for years, poetry and fanfiction and his own stories. It wasn't hard to rhyme, he just hoped that was all he needed. "Mystic spirits, hear this my desperate plea... help find the source of the powers belonging to me. Hear it now, the fear I feel. Why am I a witch, how can I heal?"

To his shock, something did in fact happen. The book grew hot in his hands, so hot he had to toss it aside. The damn thing glew a bright gold before flapping opening and flipping until it landed on a page he never would have guessed.

"Titans...In the days of Ancient Greece the Titans were God-like beings who ruthlessly ruled the earth. Like other magical beings their powers were tied to their emotions but on a much grander scale. A burst of Titan rage could spark a massive earthquake or a hurricane of epic proportions. The mortals of the era were terrified by these beings' abilities and worshiped them as Gods in the hopes of appeasing them. Ultimately the Titans could not be vanquished and the only way they could be stopped was by magically entombing them in ice, an act which brought an end to their terrible reign. I can see why they would be important but why... how does this involve me? " he looked closer and noticed a single word glowing on the page... the Word Gods. The word echoed in his head. "Can you be more clear?" The book obeyed and flipped around more, until it landed on the page for Valkyrie, where the word demigod was glowing. 'So I am a demigod, or a legacy of one?"

"What?" Leo's voice shocked him, he jumped and turned to see a stunned Leo looking at him from the top of the stairs. "You cast a spell?"

"I made one, to find out why I can heal and whatnot... the book is implying that I am either a demigod or tied to them... any clue what that means." Leo's face instantly turned to worry, then fear. He walked over, occasionally looking upwards. " Repeat after me... Like Smoke does rise, let these words flow. Gaurd this conversation so only we will know."

Bryce did as he said, and he felt a shift in the world, like a dull buzz around him. The air actually shimmered. "Why did I do that?"

Leo shivered, sitting next to him. "Listen to me... You can't tell anyone about this, even the sisters... The Elders, my bosses, they will kill you if they learn that you are related to the Gods." He whispered softly. "The Godsewere ancient mortals imbued with immeasurable power to fight the Titans. They... they were corrupted by their powers and took over the world. It took eons to strip them of their power, we lost Medusa and her sisters, the most powerful witches of that Era at their hands. They were basically the Charmed Ones of their day. The Elders would destroy you, no matter the good you can do. You must keep this secret, from everyone. Promise me, for your own sake if nothing else..."

Bryce nodded, overwhelmed and afraid. "They would really kill me, I haven't hurt a soul."

"It doesn't matter... better they think you a rare witch than anything else..."

The Door to the Manor was wrenched open and Bryce heard a woman say. "Piper, Leo, you need to come down here."
