Chapter Eighty-Nine: Don't Stop Believing
"What? Why is everybody looking at me like that?" Harry wondered before Hermione took a deep breath.
"The truth is Harry that you've faced Voldemort three times now. You're a good and powerful wizard, you really are." She told him.
"Spoken by a good and powerful witch." DJ told her as she turned her head over to look and grinned and winked at her, but before she could respond, Harry got to his feet.
"No! No I'm not!" He cried out. "When I was a baby it was my mother who saved me_" he began as DJ cleared his throat a little bit. "and God,.." he continued as DJ beamed proudly. "but all I did was cry and wet myself and wonder what the heck was going on. Then when I was eleven my mother's love for me saved me again, and last year my dragon did! Not to mention the fact that in my second year here I just got lucky." He explained but DJ just simply shook his head and clicked his tongue against his teeth. "It goes without saying that God's protected me my whole entire life as well, I don't need to keep mentioning it." He told him.
"It isn't that. It's the fact that after everything you've taught your friends about faith and miracles you still think that it was all a matter of luck. You don't get anything by being lucky." DJ told him.
"What about drinking a luck potion?" Ron wondered.
"Let me rephrase that." DJ began. "Most things in life you don't get by just being lucky. You get it by believing." He finished in a dramatic whisper and then he looked back over at Hermione. "Why is it so hard for you to believe in yourself like I believe in you?" He wondered.
"How can you believe in us when you hardly know us?" Ron questioned him his mouthful of food while Hermione just simply rolled her eyes at his rude behavior.
"Can you keep a secret?" DJ began again while leaning in towards him as Ron silently nodded at him. "I'm not who you think I am." He finished quietly.
"Well then, who are you?" Ron asked him.
"I'm God." He replied with a rather wide grin that stretched across his face.
"Oh really?" Ron began with a swallow. "Does that mean that Santa Claus and The Easter Bunny are going to be at Hogwarts this year too?" He wondered.
"No, seriously! I'm God." DJ insisted as Harry nodded at his friend.
"It's true. Look." He told him while he grabbed one of DJ's wrists and lifted his hand and revealed the hole through his palm.
"I don't get it." Ron said as Hermione rolled her eyes again.
"It's His crucifixion mark Ronald." She replied with a groan.
"Ohhh,.." Ron began. "wait, I thought that was the other guy?" He questioned.
"Yeah I know it's sort of confusing and I really don't want to get into all that right now." DJ began. "The point is that you literally have God on your side and with my help you can move mountains if you only just believe." He told him while Harry let go of him.
"So then, is your mark like Harry's scar?" Ron asked him.
"In a way. As they were both caused by acts of love." He responded while looking deep into his eyes.
"Okay, so say for the sake of argument that we agree to do all this." Ron began. "How are we going to form a wizard army without being caught?" He wondered.
"Ah,.." DJ began with a rather sly grin. "Now that question you're going to have to ask Draco as he's the only the one who knows the answer to that." He told him.
"You guys are forgetting one thing." Harry began. "The word around here is that I'm a nutter and a murder. Who would want to be taught by me?" He wondered.
"I would." Hermione replied.
"Yeah mate, I mean even if you've had help through most of it, nobody has seen what you seen and dealt what you dealt with." Ron pointed out.
"Yeah, and nobody has seen a friend die before their eyes either. It's not like in school. When you mess up in school it's a lot different as you can always try again tomorrow, but facing this stuff in real life,.. you don't get a second chance. I don't think that it's something that I want to go through again." He told them with a shake of his head and leaving the room.
"So we have somebody who can actually raise people from the dead and he's still walking away?" Ron inquired.
"Hold on, I'll talk to him." Hermione said before she got up and hurried after him. "Harry wait!" She cried out when she finally had made it out into the hallway, and he stopped and turned around to look at her.
"What is it Hermione?" He questioned her reluctantly.
"Picture Voldemort as the giant." She told him.
"What are you talking about? What giant?" He asked her.
"You know that story where the boy kills the giant with a slingshot and some rocks. He had more power than he even realized before he started having faith and believing in himself. Not to mention don't forget the pendant that Draco gave you." She told him while pointing over to his chain necklace. "Never forget what that means. He gave it to you because he believes in you and so do I. The point is we need to learn how to defend ourselves against Voldemort if we ever hope to even have a chance, and if Umbridge absolutely refuses to teach us how then we need somebody who will." She told him.
"She's right you know." Draco's voice came from behind them before they both whirled around to see him walking closer to them. "So on that note I only have two questions for you. One,.. how are we going to take down this bitch? And two,.. what do you need from me?" He asked them as all three of them exchanged grins.
