Chapter Ninety-One: Dumbledore's Army

Just a quick note from the author: Hey guys, I apologize that it's been a while, but I've been rather busy lately. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy the next chapter! :D

Later on, that evening at suppertime Ron, Hermione, and Ginny had noticed the new scars etched inside Harry's hand. "You should tell your father about this." Ron told him just as his father happened to be walking by.

"Tell his father what?" He inquired before Hermione got up and slowly lifted Harry's hand into the air and that's when Severus felt his blood starting to boil.

"I'll kill her!" He cried out as he started to turn around and hurry away.

"No Professor!" Hermione exclaimed before he stopped and turned to look at her.

"Hermione, this woman_" he began before Hermione cut him off even though she was rather touched that she was now on a first name basis with him.

"Please Sir, all that will do is wind up with you being sent to Azkaban." She began. "And Harry needs you, which is why Harry, Ron, Draco, and Professor James and I have come up with a plan." She finished before there was a few moments of silence that passed them.

"Ah,.. I see." He began. "And does this plan go against school rules?" He questioned her.

"No, but it does go against Umbridge's rules,.. but we need to learn magic in order to defend ourselves from Voldemort and Harry is the perfect person to teach us." She explained as he smiled back at her.

"Very well then,.. you have my permission to practice defensive spells. Just make sure that you also will find time to study for your OWL exams Miss Granger. Hogwarts would not be the same without you." He told her before he turned around and walked away.

"That was easy." Ron replied.

"Yeah, but the hard part hasn't even begun yet. I'll make up flyers for whoever might be interested in signing up for private lessons." Hermione told him before she started to turn around and walk away.

"Alright, I just hope that this doesn't wind up going down the same route as your Spew organization." Ron told her before she stopped and then turned to face him.

"First of all it's S.P.E.W! And second of all that was a really good cause as you wouldn't like it if you were a house elf and treated like a slave!" She snapped at him before she left the table and Ron just simply scoffed at her.

"That's the whole entire point though. Mad as a hatter that one, and poor Draco has to put up with it more than we do." He said to Harry who just rolled his eyes at him.

"I'll be right back." He told him as he started on his way to the boy's lavatory before DJ appeared before him.

"Hurts doesn't it?" He questioned him while slowly lifting Harry's hand.

"Like hell." Harry replied.

"Welcome to my world now you know how I felt." DJ told him. "Now hold still, this won't hurt a bit." He added.

"The last time somebody told me that I wound up without any bones in my arm." Harry pointed out.

"Yeah, but that was the work of a wizard, not God." DJ reminded him and then within a second Harry felt the pain go away and his hand was completely healed. "There, now you can properly teach defense against the dark arts." He told him with a grin before vanishing and Harry smiled and silently thanked him before heading to go relieve himself.

"Alright, so you all know why we're here." Hermione began later on at Three Broomsticks. Harry, Ron, and Draco sat up at the front of the room where she stood and faced the crowd. "We need a proper teacher. Somebody who will teach us real defensive spells." She began.

"And why would we want to learn how to do magic from you, you filthy mudblood?" Crabbe questioned her as Draco rose to his feet along with Harry who grabbed ahold of him and held him back.

"Calm. Down." He whispered in Draco's ear and gently guided him back down to his seat.

"First of all she's not talking about herself you idiot." Ron began. "Second of all it's because you-know-who's back and he wants to kill Harry and the rest of us." He finished before Ginny stood up and spoke up.

"It's true. If anybody can teach us how to defend ourselves it's Harry. He saved my life in my first year here." She explained.

"Not to mention the fact that he managed to win the Triwizard Tournament last year so he definitely knows what he's doing." Luna pointed out.

"Yeah, unlike me." Neville said as sometimes he wondered why the sorting hat even placed him into Gryffindor in the first place.

"Wait a second, how do we know that the rumors aren't true, and Harry didn't murder Cedric Diggory?" Seamus Finnigan wondered.

"Because Harry isn't like me." Draco began. "He wouldn't kill somebody just to win a championship." He finished as Hermione turned to look at him with a worried look in her eye. "I mean, I'm not saying I would,.. but I stand a better chance of doing it than him. Besides, he's all godly and saintly." He pointed out.

"He has a point." Lee Jordan responded while nodding his head in agreement.

"Alright then so what should we call it?" Ron wondered while Harry started thinking back to what Sirius had told him about the ministry of magic and how they were afraid that Dumbledore was making an army against them.

"Dumbledore's Army." He finally responded as Cho smiled at him.

"That's good, I like it." She began. "Perhaps we can call it the DA for short." She suggested as Harry smiled back at her.

"Brilliant." He replied while everybody started forming a line to sign up for the class. Everyone that is, except for Ginny who got up out of her chair and walked outside. Ron had noticed this and got up and went outside after her.

"You okay?" He questioned her completely out of concern.

"No." She began while glancing down at the ground. "Harry and I have known each other since we were little and now Cho is trying to steal him away from me." She told him as Ron nodded back at her.

"I know how you feel. The same thing is happening to me now with Draco. Even though I've known Hermione for a longer period of time, and I've liked her longer, Draco stole her away from me. However, in the end I care about her happiness more than my own and I know she really loves him so if I were try to break them up I might lose her as a friend and nothing's worth that." He explained before she glanced up at him and then back down at the ground. "I know it's hard, but it'll get easier I promise. Just give Harry some space, and who knows? He might wind up surprising you." He told her with a grin before turning around and heading back inside.

Btw, I'll explain how Snape is back next chapter.
