Chapter Ninety-Two: The First Kiss

Just as everybody started lining up a boy with shoulder length dirty brown hair, bluish-grey eyes, and wearing Ravenclaw robes continued watching April Anderson from behind while she bent over and wrote her name down on the piece of parchment. "Who's that?" Harry questioned quietly while leaning in towards Hermione.

"That's Jade Creedence. April has a rather big crush on him and apparently the feelings are mutual." She replied. "I found out all about him last year." She added when suddenly Ron entered the room along with Severus Snape. He turned to look over at Draco who was currently walking over by them.

"I just thought that you should know that the custody hearing went over well. Starting the Christmas holidays, you'll be staying with us." He began as he and Harry turned to look at each other and exchanged smiles.

"Really? That's brilliant." Harry responded with a grin.

"Excuse me Professor, when will Hagrid be back?" Hermione asked him.

"Yeah, and the bigger question is where exactly has he gone?" Ron wondered before Severus folded his arms at him.

"Sorry Mr. Weasley, I'm afraid that information is entirely confidential, but he will be back after the Easter holidays." He replied before he turned around and walked away from them.

"I wonder what the bloody hell that was all about." Ron said before Draco spoke up.

"Well, I do believe that Easter commemorates the death and resurrection of Christ but there's also the dying of Easter eggs and chocolate and stuff." Draco told him before Ron rolled his eyes.

"Not Easter,.. I'm talking about Hagrid. What on earth could he possibly be doing that would take him that long to return to Hogwarts?" He wondered.

"I dunno." Harry replied trying his best to hide the worry and concern in his voice.

"The room of requirement." Harry said aloud as they arrived in front of the brick wall.

"What are you on about?" Ron questioned him. "There's nothing there. It's just wall." He pointed out.

"How many times do we have to tell you Ron?" Hermione began while Draco held out the Marauder's Map in front of his face. "Not all things are as they appear." She finished as Draco glanced up at it and that's when suddenly the wall began to move, and a door magically appeared.

"The room of requirement only has things appear inside of it that you absolutely need." Hermione whispered in Ron's ear.

"Really? So say somebody really needed a toilet." He said and that's when Draco rolled his eyes.

"Tell me Weasley, is stupidity hereditary or do you come up with this stuff all on your own?" He wondered while Ron and Ginny both narrowed their eyebrows and glared at him.

"I could ask you the same question." He told him.

"Boys!" Hermione snapped inside a whisper. "Unless it's part of the lesson now's not the time for fighting." She told them before she opened the door and led them all inside. For their first lesson they did review spells like the disarming charm and the knockback jinx.

Once class was over Draco turned back over to look at Hermione. "You know, we never officially went out on a date." He pointed out.

"So then, does this mean that you're asking me out?" Hermione wondered as Draco grinned back at her.

"I guess it does." He told her.

"Maybe we can make this a double." Neville suggested before slowly turning back to look at Luna who smiled back at him.

"Sure, I'd love to." She replied as he smiled back at her, but Ron just simply rolled his eyes.

"I think I'm going to be sick." He said as he stormed out of the room.

"Jealousy isn't a very good color on him." Ginny said as Harry sighed.

"Hey, give him a break. He's feeling really left out right now. Especially since he likes Hermione and has liked her for a really long time." He told her as both Draco and Hermione started feeling really guilty.

"He has?" Hermione questioned him with uncertainty.

"No wonder why he hates me so much." Draco suddenly realized.

"Do you think he'll be alright?" April asked him out of concern.

"I'm sure he'll be fine." Jade began as he turned to her and looked into her eyes. "He just needs some time." He finished while Hermione turned her head and glanced over at Cho Chang who had discovered a picture of her ex-boyfriend Cedric Diggory posted upon a bulletin board.

"Speaking of needing some time." Hermione whispered over to Harry and then pointed over at her before the rest of them left the room and Harry slowly started walking over to her.

"Hey Cho, are you alright?" He inquired while Cho silently nodded at him as she blinked away her tears and looked up at Cedric's smiling face before she sniffed and wiped away her tears.

"I just can't help but wonder if Cedric knew this stuff if he'd still be alive." She told him sadly.

"Cedric did know this stuff though." Harry began. "And he was really good at it too. The only problem is that in the end Voldemort was better." He finished.

"I'm sorry of what all you've had to go through Harry." She told him as she stepped a bit closer to him, but he simply just shrugged at her.

"To tell you the truth, it hasn't been all that bad." He replied as he took a step closer to her as well and closed his eyes before he shared his first kiss with her.

….. …..

"So, how did it go?" Harry's father asked him that evening at supper after he walked over to the Gryffindor table as Harry shrugged.

"It went alright I guess. It was only a review lesson." He told him but that's when his father smirked at him.

"No, I'm talking about the kiss between you and Cho Chang." He whispered but it was loud enough for Ginny to hear it even though she pretended that she hadn't while Harry turned his head and looked around.

"What!? How did you know!?" He cried out in a whisper before turning his head back towards Ron and Hermione who looked up at the ceiling whistling nervously and his father let out a laugh.

"Harry, the whole entire school is talking about it. That's how gossip works." He told him as Harry heaved a sigh and rolled his eyes. At least people talking about his first kiss was a whole lot better than talking about the possibility of him being a murder.
