Vilja Chapter 16
Minchi - to break, to spoil

Huginn and Muninn
Fly every day
Over all the world;

I worry for Huginn
That he might not return,

But I worry more for Muninn.

Heavy breathing may have been the only sign of the exhaustion that would come. Adrenaline still furiously flooded his system. Eyes dilated while the smell of guts and blood kept him locked into war mode. For now, he experienced the need to crush skulls and slice flesh if anything moved, even slightly in his vision. Instincts to bana were wild inside him still.

Slowly and painfully the Alpha's bodies retracted, reverting back to normal Norse men. As if it was all some fucking dream. Had it not been for the Beta, howling and jumping in excitement over what they had witnessed, Katsuki may have just been convinced it was all just a dream.

Blinking wildly made the light easier to adjust to. He focused high in the sky above him, the body of the eagle getting smaller and smaller as it headed for the south.

"Tha kráka would 'ave arrived by nú. Should be a'mattar of hours Alpha," The Beta said, putting his thick leather glove back into the pocket of his coat.

The fugl they brought with them had struggled in the beginning. The Norse feathered animals trying to get their bearings. But like all things from the motherland. They adapted and flourished.

"Good, start movin' the dead. burn 'em before the scavengers an sickness come."

"Já, Alpha!" He said, scurrying away to the rest of the Beta men.

Taking two more deep breaths to aid in calming his heart's rhythm. The drumming inside his chest was deafening during the fight, now, it was barely a whisper inside his ear.

While his beat settled, he raised his nose and attempted to find her. With blood caking his nostrils and filling his sinus, he wasn't sure he would be able to detect her. Even the thumping of his body was waning. Katsuki was convinced he would always be able to find her, anywhere, just from the link they had fostered. But just as he needed it, his body was fading, becoming more weak by the second. The toll was mounting.

He decided the transformation took quite a chunk of his stamina. It was essential he learned to control it next time.

Otherwise, it could be a major weakness against a stronger enemy.

Allr för einn.

The floating thought sent blood racing again, commanding his body to move. To find his Omega.
The need so radical his link with Ochako blazed back into his system. A pain shot through his chest and tightened around his heart. Expelling all the air from his lungs. She was back inside his mind, her warm embrace spreading through him again.

If his lesser Alpha hadn't immediately stopped what they had been doing, he would not have worked out that the connection between them all had been re-established because she willed it.
Not because his panicked thoughts of their Crowned Alpha broke through to her.

Increasingly, the tightness in his chest became urgent. She was in trouble.

"Eijiro!" He bellowed across the large gardens.

"Já, Alpha, I vit it too." He looked over at Katsuki, concern burning in his eyes.

No more words needed to be spoken, the 6 Alphas began running inside the estates main building. Katsuki letting his lesser Alpha show him the way, they took the front position, following his Omega's scent.

"Hí! Alpha!" A call came out from the front.

As their bulky, strong bodies parted, his eyes landed on her, slumped against a wall. Breathing heavily, her spirit weakened considerably. Her call to them had taken the last of her strength. She was only moments from losing consciousness.

"Ochako!" He bellowed, skidding down onto his knees. "Eijiro! Get the heala! Nú!"

"Já, I'm on it Alpha!"

The pavement rocked as he finally admitted to himself, Eijiro, his most loyal Alpha, retreated to find help. His little kitten looked so small suddenly. Curled in on herself as she struggled to maintain her alertness. Wrapping her up in his coat and pulling her into his chest elicited a painful moan from Ochako, one that created a lump in his throat. Her pain was his pain, always. Seemingly as she nuzzled into the material that he had worn for weeks on end, her form relaxed in his arms.
But she was not out of the woods yet.
With his body moving on its own, all his attention was on her in his arms. Her body was hot with fever, shivering from the sweat that was secreting out of her pours. All on its own, his legs had delivered them both into a room. He laid down the small Omega carefully on the bed. But even the soft touch of the blankets and mattress made her cry out.

In reaction to her agony, he slipped his hand over her forehead, trying his best to use touch to calm her. Her mouth moved in response, as if talking.

He bent down to listen as she barely whispered through the fever.

"Arleigh…"

Nuzzling his lips, nose and cheeks into her neck, he pressed into her scent gland. Her moans turned deep and gentle while he covered himself in her sweet pheromones. Pushing out his own in return.

"Little…" Her voice crackled under the soft tone. "Love, come here baby."

For a moment he was confused, her mutterings swirling inside his mind before he remembered her earlier word. Arleigh. Must be her pup sister. The one the Saxon cunt slaughtered like an animal in front of his Omega.

"Yar little pup, yar systir, is gone kitten," He purred into her ear.

"Hn," She groaned, her body tensing.

The inner ache he felt for her pain ignited his Alpha into action. Grabbing her and engulfing her with his arms, he squeezed her tight against his skin. A flat hard lick of his tongue dragged over her scent gland, nesting in the nape of her neck. Her head arched backwards, eyes closed tightly.

"Ya got yar revenge," He said between licks. Each moment curbing her groans and relaxing her muscles tension.

"She is at peace with Alfaðir Ochako, sleep now."

Overwhelming scents from the pack filled the estate, along with loud voices as the Norse celebrated their next victory. The air was heavy with pride, and to Katsuki's dismay, complacency. Ochako could smell his distress over the sudden fall to illness. It had thrown the whole pack out of sync.
If it hadn't been for the planned Norse ceremony to send off her parents and sister, he would have needed to quell their cheers and admiration. Especially since news had spread of their transformations into Odin's warriors. It would only serve to further bolster the arrogance of the pack. And it could not come to that.

Not yet.

The Frye had been stacked high and thick. The wood would be burnt and her family's bodies changed into smoke. Sending them to the afterlife.
As she heard wood being stripped and broken down, she sensed a great terror coming toward them. Like some old pagan omen. Birds had disappeared from the estate. Leaving a quiet sense of doom to hang over her.

The healer, her parents healer, who had delivered her as a pup looked over her once, then twice to be sure. Finally after much internal debate, she figured anyway, he had come to his conclusion. If the lack of information he was relaying, or the more and more opposing questions related to her heat cycle were anything to go on, she was convinced the healer blamed Katsuki. He believed, rightly or wrongly, that her unfinished bond was to blame.
He had all but said it with his face when he looked down on her.

Shuffling out of the room, she heard the Alphas call to each other that there was news.

Sitting back into the pillows, grabbing one to shield her sheepish grin that she could not shake. The ridiculously bad timed gesture made her anxiety heighten.
Ever since their transformations, her hearing, sight and intuition had mounted to extreme levels.
Her hearing locked onto the conversation, she pulled the cushion in close.

"The lady is suffering with Calor Affliction," The healer said.

"The Lady?" She heard an Alpha scoff.

"Yes, Lady Ochako. She needs medication and to..."

"What tha fuck is Calor Affliction?" Katsuki asked, cutting him off.

She moaned into the pillow. Frustrated and dreading the drawn out conversation she was being forced to endure. Couldn't he sense it as she could? She needed her Alpha, he would make it all better. But he was going to refuse to hear it again wasn't he?

"It's an illness Omegas are struck with, when a bond isn't completed properly. She would have had a particularly strong pre-heat, one that probably drove them all to the brink." The older man said, his tone changing.

She didn't need to see to know who the healer was directing his comment to.

Eijiro.

Her heart sank down into her body as she heard Katsuki growling low in his throat. The domineering command made even her bow her head. He was exerting his control over the Alphas. Showing them he still had all the power.

"Her heat will be severe." The healer continued.

"So if I fuck her well enough, she will get betta? Já?" Katsuki asked smugly.

The five other Alphas roared at their Supreme's jab. Making Saxon's squeamish was a favourite pastime of these Alpha, and of the Norse in general.

Hearing his body cringe through his scent, the healer spoke once more.

"Not just, that…" He winced at the thought of the vulgar word. "She needs to bond properly, the bonding hormones that usually produce over the course of the first year of a new bond, have started collecting in her body and are becoming toxic. Slowly killing her."

Murmurs overtook the conversation, so her body instinctively leaned out further toward the door.

"Bonding will help the body absorb the hormones being made, and dispel the toxins. But, as I said, further medication is still needed. I have given her the first dose, it has significantly improved her health." The old man said.

The chatter between the men became a little more energetic again as the news got more optimistic. Up until another Alpha in the group cleared his throat. Commanding respect from the others as he had yet to comment.

"So she can say goodbye to her family?" Eijiro asked.

"Yes, for now she is able to move around with relative ease."

The healer paused, it left her wondering what gesture he was making. However, It didn't take her long to figure it out.

"But she needs to be bonded by tonight, no later."

The group of blooded Alphas chuckled and barked obscenities in their native tongue. They raged as the healer's voice was no longer heard.
She also smelt Eijiro's scent fade, without anything else being added by the large redhead. For reasons not known to her, her heart ached for him. His comforting voice and calming presence. She knew better than to indulge them, so she pushed them further down.
It seemed her Alpha had felt the tension also. His imperious aroma went from strength to strength, as it pushed his lesser Alpha further away from her room. Somewhere underneath all the bravado was a promise. A pledge. Something he should have done during her first heat.

It caused twists and thumping inside her body. Heat cranked up a level and she shivered from the sudden change in temperature around her skin.
Desires to continue her grind inside the bed elevated. She had so far made a decently shaped nest. Pillows and blankets helped make the animal skins, which lined the bottom of her creation, feel more soft and inviting. Her shining star was the cape he had used to wrap her in, when she collapsed.
It had not been washed in many weeks, his scent completely dosing the material and sending her senses into overdrive. It was almost as good as the real thing. Soft trickles of slick dripped from her as she grabbed it once more, rubbing her face into it.
How she burned to be taken already. The torment of waiting for so many weeks. No months! It was cruel.
She was missing more of those smelly, key ingredients. And he was about to deliver more to her.

"Ya lookin' much better kitten."

Even though she knew he was coming, her face flushed hard at his appearance, regardless of her knowledge. Unable to speak, she mewed into his cloak, hoping he would understand the verbal limitations she was currently under.
Katsuki slowly stepped over to the bed, his intense scent overflowing into the small room. The sudden appearance of indentations in her nest, from his hands made her body jump. Further shivering erupted as his face came down to inspect her handiwork. He breathed in deeply, inhaling her pheromones, burning them into his lungs.
The feral Alpha's intimate action, coming into her unfinished nest made her startled body shoot into action. Nudging him playfully, with a touch of seriousness added at the end.

"It's not ready yet!" She groaned at him.

He met her puppy-attitude with a fiendish snarl. Excitement and joy flashed behind his deep ruby eyes. How he loved a challenging Omega, only to fuck that right out of her.

"Mmmmm. Yar will make it perfect…" He said, purrs crashing from his chest.

Leaning now towards her, she froze. Stuck between wanting him to allow her to finish her work, and bending over before him. Showing the Alpha just how wet and ready her cunt was for him, and begging him to fill it.
His lips came in close, breath tickling her sensitive rose skin. As quick as a reflex, her eyes clamped shut. If she looked at his carnal features any longer, she might pass out from the pain of having his delicious cock withheld. Her tongue slipped out past her lips, lapping at him playfully until he gave in and crashed his lips on hers.
Tenderness was quickly overshadowed by the profound hurt and need they had for each other. Only her eventual yelps of pain broke their trance.

A gulf of cool air filled the space her Alpha had been moments before. Before her eyes could open, he was already grabbing at her and climbing beside her. She wanted to protest, to push him away again. But the pain, from the heat and from her affliction kept her Omega's demands at bay. The nest could wait, she needed her Alpha's touch. He helped her into his lap,her legs folding over him and resting beside her.

"I will make it all betta, I'll make tha pain go away." He said roughly, wrapping arms around her and pulling her into his chest.

"Uhh, Alpha," She cooed while he nuzzled his face into her neck.

Wild berries poured out into the air as a thick flat tongue pressed against her neck, massaging her gland as he licked her scent.

"Hn, feels nice," She said low, her hands gripping his shoulders.

"Yar gonna be minn, Ochako. Ey minn ."

Pumping uncontrollably, her heart picked up the pace in her chest cavity. Bond, yes, bond me, bite me, break me. Breed me.
Her breathing was so heavy she felt as if it would collapse her torso. Reading her perfectly, he brought her even closer into his chest.

She wanted to hear him say it.

"You're going to bond with me, Katsuki?"

"Já Ochako. I'm going to bond with you. Make you minn!"

Her hands snaked up onto his chest and pushed her out from his hold, their faces inches from the other. As she looked deeply into his eyes, her hands left his hard muscular form and grabbed at his arm.
Bringing up his wrist, she rubbed her cheeks into his engorged gland. Covering herself in his scent. Sandalwood mixed with sweet fruits. The pheromones of one perfectly aligned with the other.
It was finally time.

Showing her enthusiasm, she rocked her hips. Dragging her throbbing, soaked core over his thick bulge. The one that had appeared when he had taken in the smells and sights of her nest.
Knowing she had already done a good job for her Alpha, only further pushed her bratty Omega to the surface. His growls of pleasure finally edged her further.

His lips find hers again with a tilt of her chin. He was hungrier this time, threatening to consume her completely.
She would give anything to be devoured, over and over again. Forever here in this moment with him. She felt her slit become drenched as a fresh wave of slick seeped from her.

Apparently he felt every single sensation along with her.

"Fuck, so fuckin' sexy. This has gone on t'long kitten. I liggja til ya! I can't be without ya any longer."

"I can't be without you either Alpha, I'm so happy," She said, while warm severe throbs from her core only confirmed her thoughts.

His need turned savage.

"Ya were amazin' little Omega, how did it feel? t'kill her?" He asked between hard kisses.

"I didn't enjoy it, I was compelled to do it.."

"Hn." He dropped his face and licked at her scent gland, nibbling it as she wiggled on his cock some more.
Without warning her body seized up, forcing her to cry out in pain, her body shrinking down. Most of her lust that had built vanished almost completely, leaving room for the pain that had come on so quickly to spread throughout her entire body.

"Ar'ya alright?"

"Hurts" she mews.

"Ya need more rest, Ochako. More medicine. I thought ya were able ta, but it seems not. Rest, then we bond, and yar will be betta in no time."

"Nooo," She whined, grinding again on his lap in one last ditch attempt to fuel his Alpha.

"Kitten, stop. I won't do it now. Not until you are well." He said before raising his bass levels. " Stjórna !"

Begrudging she lifted her weight from him, obeying his command implicitly.
Not only did she ache from her heat. But the transformation had also taken a massive toll.
A thought crept in as she untangled herself from her Alpha.

"What was that between us, and the other Alpha's?" she asked, sliding in the puff nest beside him.

"It was because of you little Omega, you awoke my Úlfhéðnar." Katsuki said.

"What is a Úlfhéðnar?"

"A warrior that wears the coat of a wolf. My ancestors were Ulfheonar., An elite warrior of odin." He explained.

Coat of a wolf? But they had actually transformed. Was that sentence a loss in translation?

"But you actually turned into a wolf?" She clarified.

He nodded "Ja, for a moment I wore the skin of a wolf".

Satisfied, she nuzzled into his wrists again. He allowed her to kiss and nibble at his scent. Further calming her nerves, allowing her beaten body to relax.

"Alpha, who is Muninn?"

"Muninn? Alfaðir's crow? Where did ya learn this name?" Katsuki asked.

Breaking from his wrists, she looked up at him. His face was awashed with confusion. Did his Alpha not speak to him too? A pang of worry struck her chest.
"A voice, my Omega, I think. It called me by that name." She said softly.

Embarrassment for having brought it up was probably already clearly displayed across her face. But he did not relent. Determination to understand was strong in his face now, replacing the perplexment.

"A voice called ya Muninn? What did it say little Omega?" He pushed.

Instead of english she began speaking perfect old norse. Exactly as the voice had in her mind. 'Take the other, sacrifice it to me, Muninn. Show me your love and return to me.'

Perhaps that fact should have alerted her that it may not have been her Omega speaking to her.

Katsuki's face did nothing to squash her sudden fears.

"Little Omega, are you sure you heard this?" He asked.

Confidence slipping, she dropped her gaze from his. But, of course the Alpha was not going to allow her to shy away now. That determination had flamed into an out of control fire. Compelling her without words, she felt the Alpha's will increase beside her. There was no escape, it was said and done.

"Yes, during the battle after we all transformed. Right before I took Rana's other eye and killed her." She said.

"Muninn… It can't be," He mumbled to himself. His eyes vacant as he still looked at her.

"But... ya were black, and ya turned into… skíta !"

He looks at her and something clicks visibly behind his eyes.
Thick wrists were ripped from her grasp as Katuski got up quickly. His movement forced her to fall down in the now messed nest. Whines escaped her unwillingly, her body acting on its own again and grabbing for him while he retreated.

"Please, Alpha! Don't leave me, I nauð you." She called out.

The bulky Norse Alpha reached up and took off his blood soaked over-cloak, tossing it like a rag before taking off his under shirt. It was all wet from his sweat still. Now totally immersed in sandalwood.

She purred loudly as her amber iris' watched him hand it to her. A state of bliss exploded into her brain from her spinal cord, allowing her to curl up with it. Ignoring the upsetting exit of her Alpha entirely, she dove deeper in his pheromones.

Sending out a vilja had always been easy. His lesser Alpha had always been loyal, as any Alpha could be. Now that connection had tripled, ever since his Úlfhéðnar had awoken. Even amongst his Beta, he could now call individuals.
Pushing out his message, he sent for Ulmer. Hoping the man would understand what this new knyja was.
His nose pulled his attention back to the room behind him. Sniffing into the air once more, her pheromones calm and gentle, he was convinced the little Omega was content for the moment. He began heading into the courtyard of the estate to wait for his subordinate.

"Alpha, how is she?" Ulmer sounded from his side.

Good, the man was as intuitive as Katsuki assumed he was. He would also know more about Odin's crow than he did. The man had a love for the God's unmatched in his pack. It seemed Alfaðir's plan extended past their invasion of the Albion. If his Omega was embroiled with the almighty, he would need to speak with his seeress.
But, for now. Ulmer would have to do.

"She will be fine, Ulmer, tell me, what do you know of Muninn?"

His wrinkled skin around his eyes intensified, while Ulmer lowered his gaze from his Alpha's.

"Muninn? Alpha, do ya mean t'ask me about Alfaðir's crow? Because of what happen'd with tha Mærr?" Ulmer asked carefully.

"Tell me everything you know Beta, !"

Beats of drums echoed in the small valley of Steborneas. Ochako had spent her entire life here once.
That was only a dream. Now a woman's haunting voice, with flutes, horns and stringed bow instruments filled the air with an ancient melody. Following along to a conversation was, at best, tiring. Trying to decipher what the woman was singing was near impossible for the Saxon Omega.

Saxon.

Not anymore, she told herself.

She was a Norse woman now.

The verses seemed to repeat. There was mention of the sun and moon, Odin and blood. By instinct, she turned to Katsuki, his eyes feeling her gaze and darting to her.

"Ya havin' erfiðr?" He asked.

Difficulty was the loose translation to his word. Ochako nodded, not wanting to interrupt the song. Katsuki bent down to the shell of her ear, just as the frye was being lit. Hot breath sailed over her skin.
Her Mother, Father and Sister were about to be sent to Helgafjell. The Holy Mountain .
Again the poem started over while the Norse Shieldmaiden sang it.

Vestr fórk of ver,

En ek Viðris ber,

Skal eg fylgje deg.

"With tha Sun and tha Moon t'guide me, I journey west, t'follow ya."

Looking up into the sky, almost immediately she found the moon. Almost at full, it hung low on the horizon. Huge and lustrust. Welling up over her vision, tears began to form as images of her innocent little sister flashed before her.
Katsuki continued to translate as best he could.

" At this red fare, blood on tha wind. I'll sound yar name, when on tha path t'Helgavjell I go."

Her Norse pack were sending her family to the afterlife in the most honourable way they knew how. To a place her family could live out the remaining time the universe had in comfort and harmony. Even if she had a hard time believing such childish stories, a pang of sharp pain cut at her insides. Her pack were honoring her dead like they did their own. It hurt and felt amazing at the same time.

"Ta frozen heart. Is cold, so cold."

Shutting her eyelids caused a cascade of tears to flow down her cheeks. Crying was a release, a sign a woman cared. It did nothing to slow the painful scenes she had oxidated into her mind. The anguish of watching her sister's life drain from her, while being too slow to help her.
The terror on her face was forever frozen.

"Tha raven still knows if I fall. When on tha path t'Helgavjell I go, with a broken wing." Katsuki said, swapping ears.

He helped wipe her tears from her skin. Only for more to take their place. The gates were open now, and only deep sobs would stop the rush of tears.
Pressure in her nose alerted her of the fluid building up in her sinus. She sniffled as her Alpha's touch lit her on fire. Drums boomed louder to make the hairs on her skin stand up. The musical beat built for the final crescendo.
Their bodies, once her family, were now completely engulfed in white hot flames. A large hand softly glossed through her hair as he told her the last part. Continuing to soften the terrible painful blows.

"Till Odin gazed upon tha dead."

After the woman finished her poem. Ochako's eyes could not break from the sight of the Frye wood breaking apart in the blaze. The only way she could remove herself was to follow the smoke which rose to the heavens.
She fought back a christian prayer on her tongue. Wincing at the sour taste it left.
Old habits die hard.

When the last flame disappeared into the embers below, she was finally able to move her body. Floating, as if on a cloud, she dazed her way into the main hall of her family's estate. On her way to find Katsuki, a flame had started inside of her. One that might even have rivaled the one she felt when transforming.
The rage bubbled, threatening to boil over.

He wasn't hard to find, of course not. The connection had never been so strong. Even if her eyes were gouged out, ears filled with mud and nose completely clogged, she would have found him.
A tiny hand, one she realised belonged to her, wrapped around his sizable bicep.

"I want to kill them all," She said through gritted teeth.

Katsuki turned to her.

"Who, little one?"

This time she bit so hard she tasted blood as it poured from the small wound. The metal over her taste buds only encouraged the wrath.

"Filthy, fucking Saxon cunts!" She hissed.

Was that really her voice just now? Everything was so muddled and far away.

He was grinning at this. Her Alpha. Pride consumed him as he watched her face scrunch in anger.

"We will, and they will pay. Once tha rest of our forces arrive." He said, sitting down at the large wooden table.

Paws latched on and brought her down onto his lap. The closeness snapped her reality back to the present. The fog had all but dissipated.

"Did you say the rest of the forces?"

Lips and the tingling of his beard hit her sensitive spot in the nape of her neck.

"Yes, tha Dana Konungr is comin' with einn thousand men, an even more landnámamaðr."

She turned her head, allowing him room to further explore her skin. Creating a tight twist in her body again. Also, she could see his face at this angle.

"One thousand men?"

The Alpha, who had been nibbling at her neck, groaned deep inside his throat.

"What's the Dana Konugr like?" She asked firmly.

Something pissed the Supreme Alpha off. He pulled from her and scoffed. Exactly how one would in an argument. Besides the rejection of his touch, his reaction to her question had crushed her mood.
But soon enough, she understood his aggressive response.

That impending doom returned, along with a sharp, cold shiver down her spine.

"A ruthless tyrant, he will bana anyone on a whim. For sport, pleasure. An alpha who can also become Berserksgangr, a unstoppable bear warrior. He commands them all with an illt and absolute rule. He can't be disobeyed, that's how strong his stjórna is."

Her hands found his overcoat and squeezed the material tight.

"That strong?"

The large body holding and supporting her relaxed as the tension in her hands were felt. Always in tune with her body, and her needs. The Alpha swamped her tiny frame with his ample arm span.

"Já. The Dana Konugr is tha true enemy to tha pack. Destroyin' from tha inside fa years with his brutal, savage nature. He's our peoples Crownin' Alpha." Katsuki said, squeezing her into his chest.

Forceful thumps from his heart invaded her own body and echoed in her mind. He was elevated just talking about this Alpha. If Katsuki, as dominant over his pack as he is, was scared of this Crowning Alpha, how illt, how evil must he be?

"His name is Allr för einn."

"All for one," Ochako murmured, translating his words.

Heavy rain sometimes came from nowhere, not even a rumble of thunder to warn you of its imminent downpour. It was exactly how the doom that had been lingering felt as it dropped over her head and invaded her body. As the name lingered on her tongue, she noticed her cheeks set on fire. Convulsions throughout her body started violently and all she remembered before dropping to the ground was a vision of her sister's throat being sliced open again. This time a black figure held the knife, a large white snarl grinned menacingly at her. Like a warning.

As the image faded, she began vomiting everywhere.
