I wish I could say I slept well, but that would be a lie. I had bad dreams all nigh long. Bad dreams, where we were all dead, we were killing each, I killed Dane! After that dream, I woke up and it was morning. I noticed I was also sweating, I slowly wiped my face and hopped out of bed.
Oh yeah, a few more weird things I forgot to mention from yesterday. We discovered in the closets and drawers in our huts, it had multiple copies of the clothes we were wearing yesterday. That is just freaking weird, and it adds more mysteries to the list. I also couldn't find any pajamas, and I assume no one else did either, but as for me, I had to sleep in a copy of my clothes I wore yesterday. I changed into a new copy and tosses the one I wore to bed on the floor. There also hadn't been any sign of a washing machine, so I hope that mystery gets solves soon as well.
After putting on my new hoodie and sweatpants, I did my best to straighten my long, blond hair with my hands, before putting it into my usual long ponytail. I was feeling a bit anxious, so I played with my ponytail for a bit.
"I hope we make some progress today." I thought to myself.
After feeling better, I left my hut and started to walk down to the hotel patio for breakfast and another meeting with my classmates. As I was walking down the hill from the huts, I ran into Miranda.
"Good morning Miranda." I greeted her with a smile.
Miranda turned to me shyly. "Good morning...Natalie."
"Did you sleep well last night?"
Miranda turned her head away. "No...I was...really...scared...I...couldn't...sleep."
"Still a shy one I see, so what is it with her and Dane?" I asked myself.
I gave Miranda another smile. "Yeah, I had some bad dreams myself, but it should only be natural. I'm sure everyone had trouble sleeping last night."
Miranda was silent for a bit. "Okay...I'm gonna...gonna go now."
Miranda quickly picked up the pace with her walk, and walked ahead of me.
"Okay then..." I replied out loud. "Guess I'll see you at the patio."
Shaking my encounter with Miranda out of my mind, I continued my walk to the hotel patio. It was a bit of a walk since our huts were at the back of the island, while the hotel was at the front, but I made it there without it seeming that long of a walk. As I walked up the stairs to the hotel patio, I saw all of my classmates were already there, minus Ellen and Simon. They were all getting ready to have breakfast.
"Good morning everyone." I greeted as I walked towards them.
"Good morning Natalie." Irene returned the greeting.
"Did you sleep well, little girl?" Donald asked in his annoying voice.
"Too early for your stupid puppet show!" Whined Sapphire.
Laughing quietly, I walked towards the table with food on it to help myself. I grabbed a plate and tossed some scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast on it. I grabbed a fork, and headed back to the table with my classmates. Dane was sitting next to Miranda again, and they appeared to be chatting to themselves. I instantly grew jealous.
"Why is she always next to Dane?!" I asked myself.
I saw any empty seat and headed for it. I put my plate down, and pulled the chair out. I then sat down and heard the most disgusting sound ever as soon as I did, It was a loud, whooping noise that everyone heard, they all turned to me.
"What was that?!" Asked Sam.
"Was it the cry of a new cryptid?!" Asked Gavin.
"Don't be stupid, you nerd!" Harvey replied. "It came from Natalie!"
"Ew!" Sapphire cried. "That wasn't very ladylike at all!"
Seeing that Dane was staring at me, I got super embarrassed. "That wasn't me! I didn't do it!"
I then noticed Rory was laughing super hard, everyone turned to him.
"What's so funny?" Asked Henry.
Rory didn't respond, he just kept laughing harder. Getting suspicious, I quickly got up from my chair. It took a second for me to see, but there was a giant whoopee cushion that was the same color as the chair. I was pissed.
"Rory!" I yelled as I picked up the whoopee cushion.
Rory only laughed harder.
"What happened?" Asked Raj. "I don't get it."
"Probably best to stay out of this one." Replied RK.
Feeling a combination of pissed off and embarrassed, I prepared myself to chuck the whoopee cushion at Rory, but Irene grabbed my arm and held it tight.
"Don't Natalie." Irene lectured. "Don't let yourself get worked up over something like this, as for you Rory." She turned her head to a still laughing Rory. "Grow up and knock it off."
Rory finally stopped laughing, but was still smiling. I cooled down and tosses the whoopee cushion aside. Irene released my arm and went to sit back down, I sat down as well.
"If everyone is here, we should start another discussion." Proposed Kirsty.
"Not everyone is here." Replied Dana.
"Who are we waiting on?" Asked Dane.
"Shut up water fag!" Harvey said out of nowhere. "I'm gonna kick your as...Ow!"
Sam had punched Harvey in the cheek, who started rubbing it. Sam then turned to us and smiled.
"Whenever Harvey starts to act up, you just gotta use a little force!"
A little force can be quite artistic." Smiled Bridget.
"Shut up and get back on track!" Complained Sapphire. "Who are we missing?"
"Both Simon and Ellen aren't here." Answered RK. "But are you really surprised?"
"Those two sure aren't team players." Added Henry.
"I didn't expect them to come when the majority of us where gathered here." Irene stated. "I will have to try and talk to them about cooperation. But for now, let us start, did everyone sleep well last night?"
As we ate breakfast, we discussed some more to add on to yesterday. As I expected, no one slept well last night.
"What's the plan for getting off this island?" Rory asked. "Right now, I don't see any way of escape."
"Relax my dear Rory." Assured Bridget. "It's only are second day on this island, we still have a lot to learn most likely."
"As long as you put in the hard work, you'll be fine!" Added Kirsty.
"Don't give up yet, young man!" Donald said in his annoying voice.
"You people sure are hopeful, considering we checked the entire island at least twice yesterday." RK replied with no trace of hope at all in his voice.
"Well aren't you one big ray of sunshine!" Sapphire complained. "Could you be more negative?"
"Take it easy everyone." Irene cut in. "We can't argue amongst ourselves anymore."
"Don't worry everyone!" Gavin stood up proudly. "We can do this! We will escape!" Gavin pumped his hands into the air, however, before his hands left, the table, they hit an empty coffee mug, which was sent flying at someone. That someone was Dane, it got him right in the head, as well as knocked him out of his chair.
"Dane!" I cried.
I quickly got up and tried to get over to Dane to help, but once again, Miranda beat me to it. She had gotten up and crouched down to Dane's level.
"Are you...Are you okay Dane?" Miranda asked as she helped pull him to his feet.
By the time I got there, Dana was there as well, helping Miranda keep Dane on his feet, I didn't know what I could do, so I just stood there.
"How do you feel Dane?" Asked Dana.\
"Ow...What happened?" Dane replied.
"Sorry." Apologized Gavin. "That was my fault man."
Miranda turned to Gavin. "Please...be more...careful."
"I love the enthusiasm though." Sam smiled at Gavin.
Gavin smiled back at Sam and sat down, followed by the rest of us who stood up. We were all seated to continue eating and discussing.
"Oh yeah!" Piped in Sapphire. "Did everyone else find multiple copies of the clothes they're wearing now in their huts last night?! That is so weird!"
"Yeah, that is weird." Agreed Raj. "What's going on with that?"
"Just another mystery to add to the list." Rory stated.
"It definitely is strange." Irene agreed. "The best answer I can give now is whoever brought us here made multiple copies of the clothes we were wearing the day they got us for some part of this game they're trying to make us play."
"As much as I love this outfit, this is gonna drive me crazy!" Sapphire whined. "I can't wear the same thing everyday!"
"I think you look fine babe, real fine." Harvey flirted.
"Ew! Shut up! This is horrible!"
"Calm Sapphire." Pleaded Dana. "This isn't that big of a deal."
"It is! No matter how cute my outfit is, eventually, I'm gonna feel like I'm wearing Natalie's, Irene's, or even Miranda's outfit!"
"For fuck sake, this girl is a brat!" I thought to myself.
Irene glared at Sapphire, while Miranda seemed really upset about what was just said about her.
"How can you say that about Miranda's outfit?" Dane asked. "Both of your outfits are real similar."
Sapphire threw an egg at Dane's face, causing him to react in pain.
"Shut up!" Yelled Sapphire. "Don't you ever say that! My outfit is nothing like Miranda's!"
I was pissed again.
"Settle down Sapphire!" Irene growled.
"Please...Stop it..." Miranda begged.
"Whatever." Sapphire rolled her eyes and went back to eating.
Once things had settled down, for now at least, we resumes and eventually finished eating. We all agreed to meet back up for lunch, but for now, everyone went their separate ways.
I tried to see if I could hang with Dane, but he was already walking off with Miranda. I was jealous and pissed again.
"Why can't I get anymore time with Dane?!" I yelled to myself.
After playing with my ponytail for a bit to calm myself down, I set out to do something on the island. I first ended up at the basketball court, where I saw Gavin was shooting hoops, or I guess to more accurate, he was missing hoops. I jogged over to the court to talk to Gavin.
"Hey Gavin." I greeted as I joined him on the court.
Gavin turned to me after missing another basket. "Hi Natalie, how's it going?"
"Nothing much, just figuring out how to spend my free time."
"Wanna play some basketball with me? I figured that if I'm gonna be the leader in case something happens to Irene, I should be in top form so I can save the day.
Gavin stood proudly like he was a superhero, but that comment about something happening to Irene really freaked me out. I hope he wasn't being serious.
"Um...yeah, sure Gavin. Let's play some basketball."
"Cool!" Gavin seemed really happy.
I spent some time playing basketball with Gavin. Like I mentioned before pretty much, I have no talent for athletics, even though I'm pretty tall, but I have no skills at any sports, including basketball. However, Gavin was even more unskilled than me. I was able to easily block all of his shots, and he couldn't do anything to defend. Granted, I didn't make a whole lot of baskets, but I definitely won in the end. By the end of our game, I won seventeen to zero.
Gavin and I took a seat on the court, both of us were tired and sweating, however, I was only a bit, while Gavin was exhausted.
"Wow...Natalie...you're really...good...at basketball...Why...aren't you...the ultimate...basket...ball star?"
"I'm not because I'm no good at basketball, while you just flat out suck." I thought to myself.
"I don't know Gavin, I don't think I'm that good." I replied.
"Well...you definitely...gave me...a...run for...my money." Gavin continued to breath heavily.
"Yeah..." I replied a bit awkwardly.
Gavin then stood up, but still showed signs of being tired. "I can't give up though! I need to do my best! I know you guys are counting on me!"
"I think more people are counting on Donald and Mr. Warn than they are Gavin." I thought to myself.
"Uh...look Gavin." I started with. "I think it's really cool you wanna be the big hero for everyone, but don't think too hard on it. This isn't just on you."
Gavin looked shocked. "What!? Of course I have to do this! I must do this!"
"...Chill Gavin..."
"No can do Natalie! I have to try my hardest! This is bigger than any cryptid!"
"For being the Ultimate cryptozoologist and saying that, he must feel real strongly about this." I thought to myself.
I smiled at Gavin. "I'm sure you'll do great Gavin, I'm counting on you to do your best."
Gavin froze after I said my last words, then he looked a combination of happy and determined. "Thank you Natalie, you can count on me, I won't let you down."
"I know you won't Gavin."
Gavin picked up the basketball we had been playing with. "I still need to continue getting in shape, do you wanna shoot some more hoops?"
"No thanks." I replied standing up. "I think I'm done playing basketball for now, so I'm gonna head on elsewhere, but it was a lot of fun both playing with and talking to you Gavin."
"You as well Natalie, I'll definitely see you around."
Gavin went back to missing hoops as I started to walk away from the basketball court. Gavin sure is an odd guy who tries too hard, but his heart definitely seems to be in the right place, as well as wanting to do the right thing.
I continued walking around the island until I ended up at the ship, I saw Henry was on the front deck, smiling, while looking at the view. I walked over to the front of him.
"Henry!" I called out. "What are you doing?"
Henry looked down at me. "Hey Natalie! I'll be down in a second!"
"What? Noooooo!"
Henry had climbed on top of the ship's deck railing and jumped off! He quickly fell to the ground on his face, landing right next to me.
"Henry! Are you okay!?"
Henry was still for a bit, but slowly got up, with no apparent injuries. "Don't worry about me Natalie, this is a story after all, if it wasn't, I'd be dead."
"Another fourth wall break!?" I thought to myself.
"Don't do stuff like that Henry!" I lectured. "You seriously could of hurt yourself!"
Henry raised his hands up in defense. "Don't worry about me Natalie, I'm fine, I promise."
I groaned. "What were you even doing up there?"
Henry then got all lovey dovey with heart eyes. "I was practicing for my first date with Kirsty. I plan to have us spend the evening on the ship."
"Why am I not surprised?" I thought to myself.
"It will be perfect, simply perfect! Oh my sweet Kirsty!" Henry rambled, while looking like a total idiot.
"...Uh...Okay, Henry." I replied, extremely awkwardly.
"She truly is the most beautiful woman in the world!"
"Uh..."
I really didn't know how to continue this conversation, but I ended up spending a decent amount of time with Henry, where we did nothing, but talk about Kirsty.
"And that is when I knew that Kirsty was the one for me." Henry finished telling me the story of how his "love" for Kristy was discovered.
"Wow...that sure is the most beautiful love story I ever heard." I replied, while trying to keep my sarcasm hidden.
"Beautiful...she is just so beautiful! I'm in so much love!"
"Yeah...she is."
"Wouldn't you feel the same about her if you were a guy, Natalie?"
"I'm actually bisexual, and yeah I do find her attractive, but I know...she only belongs with you."
Henry smiled at me. "Right you are there Natalie, Kirsty and I truly belong together forever and ever."
I wanted to remind him that Kirsty is a lesbian, but I didn't have the heart to, as well as didn't think it would do anything.
"Shit!" Henry suddenly got real serious and angry.
"What? What is it Henry?" I asked.
"What if one of the other guys tries to get with my Kirsty?! I can't even let someone think about that!"
"...Uh..."
"I bet that jerk Harvey will try to flirt with Kirsty!"
"Harvey?"
"I seen him flirting with some of the others girls! I bet he's going after Kirsty any second! I can't let that happen!"
"Uh...Henry...Harvey is-"
"A bully! I know that! Yesterday, he punched me in the stomach five times! But that won't happen this time!" Henry balled up his fists like he was about to punch someone.
"For fuck sake, Harvey is gonna murder Henry if he tries anything." I thought to myself.
"I go to go Natalie! I'm gonna stop Harvey from taking Kirsty away from me!" Henry exclaimed with pride and determination.
"Okay...Henry..." I replied. "It was nice talking with you."
"Likewise!" Henry turned around and ran off into the distance.
I immediately started to be on my way again. Henry definitely isn't a bad guy, but he certainly is extremely strange, and just a little too much in love. But that certainly isn't my responsibility.
I continued on until I ended up by the bathrooms. I saw Miranda and Sapphire standing outside the bathrooms. They appeared to be talking, well actually it seemed like Sapphire was doing all the talking, while Miranda just looked confused and nervous.
"Hey girls." I greeted as I walked up to them.
They both turned towards me.
"Hi...Natalie." Miranda greeted.
"Natalie! Good timing!" Sapphire exclaimed.
"For what?" I asked.
"I was just giving Miranda here some major fashion advice, as well as how to be a real lady!"
"Oh hell no!" I thought to myself. "Hell no is this bitch going back to this!"
"Oh, I just had the best idea! Let's go inside the bathroom to use the mirror for all of this!"
"Uh..." Miranda tried to say.
"No thanks." I declined.
Sapphire just grabbed Miranda and myself by our hands and quickly dragged us into the girls bathroom. We wasted so much time listening to her go on and on about what she should and shouldn't wear, and what is acceptable for a lady. Miranda just stayed silent the whole time, but I tried many times to get some words in to Sapphire, but she would then just talk over me. We were stuck in it.
"And you really should cut your hair, Natalie." Sapphire said as she held my long ponytail in her hand.
I pulled out of Sapphire's grasp. "No way Sapphire! It took me forever to get my hair to this length!"
"You won't look like much of a lady if you don't."
"I think...Natalie's hair...looks good the way it is." Miranda added.
I smiled. "Thank you Miranda."
"Oh shut up, Miranda!" Sapphire whined. "What do you know about good hair? Your hair is even worse than Natalie's."
Miranda appeared hurt by those words and looked down at the ground, while I started to get pissed off.
"Seriously, long hair, a hoodie, sweatpants...Are you even trying?"
"I-" I tried to say.
"And you!" Sapphire turned her attention to Miranda. "What the hell were you thinking with that outfit!?"
Miranda didn't respond, she just looked away.
"I really don't see how you can criticize Miranda's outfit, Sapphire." I began. "Yours and hers are very similar."
"Shut your mouth!" Now Sapphire was pissed off. "My outfit is one of a kind! Miranda just grabbed whatever the first thing in her closet was!"
"That outfit was the only thing in her closet though!"
"You know what I mean!"
"You're both wearing a tie. You're both wearing a skirt. You're-"
Sapphire slapped her hand across my mouth so hard, that it hurt. "Stop talking and be grateful I'm even taking my time to help you two out!" She then looked at Miranda. "You too!"
Miranda just nodded as I pulled Sapphire' hand away. "Sapphire-"
Sapphire cut me off again by covering my mouth again. "Be quiet Natalie! I'm not done speaking yet!"
I rolled my eyes.
"Where was I? Oh yes! You two girls, seriously needed this help, without my guidance, you would of just walked around with your plain old looks and fashion."
"...Sapphire..." Miranda said.
"What is it Miranda?"
"I...I...appreciate all...of your help...But for hair...and other...looks...Wouldn't that be...for Ellen's department...since she is...the...Ultimate...Cosmetologist."
"Ha! I don't even know how that bitch got her title with how much of a bitch she is!" Sapphire started laughing.
"Pot meet kettle." I thought to myself.
Sapphire finished laughing. "My talent may be film reviewing, but I know a lot about beauty and fashion as well, trust me girls, you won't find anyone else on this island that can help you more than me."
Getting sick of listening to this bitch talk, I removed her hand again. "Thank you so much Sapphire, I know we'll take your advice to heart. Was there anything else you wanted to share with us?"
Sapphire thought for a second. "Nope, that should be it for now."
"Awesome, cool, thanks Sapphire! I gotta go girls, so I'll see you later!"
Without trying to be obvious. I waved to Sapphire and Miranda and then as quickly as I could, I ran out of the bathrooms. Sapphire is honestly starting to come off as a know it all snob for me, which doesn't help her at all, considering she is already a whinny brat. As for Miranda, I feel for her as I can relate to being that nervous around people sometimes, but I still wanna know what is up with her and Dane.
Shaking those thoughts off, I walked up to where the huts were. I saw Donald was walking out of his hut, with Mr. Warn as always. He saw me pretty quickly as I came with in walking distance.
"Hello there little girl!" Donald greeted me in his annoying Mr. Warn voice.
I groaned. "Hey Donald."
"Donald? Silly goose! I'm Mr. Warn!"
"I am not in the mood for this shit!" I thought to myself.
"Hey, Mr. Warn." I greeted without any care in my voice.
"You're just in time for the puppet show!" Donald exclaimed.
"Puppet show? What puppet show?"
"Why my puppet show of course! Grab a seat, we're about to get started!"
I looked around for a bit, thinking of someway I could get out of this without offending Donald in any way. There was none however, so I took a seat on the ground. I spent a good amount of time watching Donald perform his puppet show. While it was definitely boring and uninteresting for me, I could tell Donald was having a blast performing it.
"And that's our show everybody, thank you so much for coming out!" Donald exclaimed in his Mr. Warn voice.
Wanting to be polite, I started clapping for for Donald, which I could tell he enjoyed.
"Thank you very much little girl! You been a terrific audience!"
I got up from the ground and gave a smile to Donald. "Wow Donald, that sure was fantastic. I can tell how you became the Ultimate Puppeteer."
Donald returned my smile and actually spoke in his normal voice. "Thanks Natalie, I'm glad you enjoyed it."
"Though if you don't mind me asking Donald, I totally get why you have to stay in character when you're actually performing, but is it really necessary to talk in Mr. Warn's voice during regular conversations? And during now of all times?"
Donald immediately switched back to Mr. Warn's voice. "I don't know what you're talking about little girl, don't go making stuff up now! Fibbing isn't nice!"
"Huh?"
"Don't be a liar, liar, pants on fire!"
"And now he's annoying me again." I thought to myself.
"Okay...sure thing..."
Donald smiled. "Good girl! Don't forget to only go swimming, when you have a lifeguard watching you!" Donald made Mr. Warn wave to me, and then he lifted his hat up as a signal of goodbye. He then started to walk away to the hill to walk down from the huts. I watched him for a bit, before got on my way back to my hut. I can definitely tell that Donald loves what he does and really works hard to stay in character, but now is definitely not the time for that. And it is only gonna just keep annoying everyone.
As I continued to walk back to my hut, I noticed RK was cleaning his hut. He was washing his window with a squirt bottle and paper towels, as well as had a little trash bag on the ground.
Wanting to get to know RK a little more, I walked up to him. "Hey RK."
RK turned to my direction, with no emotion on his face. "Hi Natalie."
"What are you up to right now? Cleaning?"
"Yeah, just doing a little cleaning right now with these cleaning supplies I got from the supermarket."
"Why though?"
"Is there something wrong with me spending my time cleaning?"
"No, not at all! I'm sorry if it came out that way!"
RK just shrugged and went back to washing his window. "Don't worry about it, since I don't got a whole lot going on for me, I spent a decent amount of my time cleaning when I'm not at work."
"I see, well do you want some help?"
RK looked back at me. "You want to help me clean?"
"Sure!"
RK just shrugged. "I won't stop you."
I spent some time cleaning RK' hut with RK. It didn't take long with two people cleaning. After we finished up, we stood around admiring our work.
"Thanks for the help." RK thanked, without having any emotion.
"No problem, I had fun." I replied with a smile.
It was awkward silence for a bit.
"Hey RK, if I can ask, what does RK stand for?"
RK didn't look at me. "Nothing, my name is RK, simply R, then K, RK."
"Oh...I see...Sorry."
RK shrugged. "Don't worry about it. It isn't a shock at all my name isn't a real name as opposed to just letters."
I felt so sad for RK. "RK..."
"Don't worry about me, I'm fine, I'm gonna head inside for now. Thanks again Natalie." RK gathered up his cleaning supplies and his tablet that was on the ground nearby. He used his tablet to get inside his hut and shut the door.
I was alone now, so I headed back to my hut. RK honestly just needs a big hug. I don't know his full life story, but it just seems he has no aim for anything that is beyond what he is now. I truly do feel sad for him, hopefully I can help him.
I finally got back to my hut and headed inside. I decided to rest up before lunch.
