After dealing with Harvey and Bridget by the ship, I ran back to my hut to rest up for a bit. After resting up for a bit, I left to continue clearing my mind before lunch. I was doing better when it came to accepting that Dane and Miranda were now a couple, but it was still fresh on my mind.
I exited my hut, and started to walk down the path. Only after a few seconds of walking, I ran into both Simon and Ellen. Simon was walking up the path, while Ellen followed behind him.
"Well, well." I started with. "This sure is a surprise."
"What fucking surprise?" Simon asked.
I grinned. "You two, out on a walk together."
"Shut your foolish mouth." Ellen ordered, while frowning.
"I don't walk with bitches." Simon added. "I sleep with bitches."
I laughed. "You two are so cute when you're in denial."
"And you'd be so cute with your face bloody and bashed in with a rock."
I stopped laughing immediately, I was in such horror. "Simon?! How can you joke about that?!"
"It isn't hard at all, that puppetqueer was nothing but a big joke from the beginning."
"This is pointless and ridiculous." Ellen stated. "I'm going." She started to walk up the path again.
"Don't!" I yelled.
Ellen stopped and looked at me. "What do you want?"
"First off." I turned to Simon and glared at him. "I get it, you're a fucking asshole. But at least show some fucking respect for those that have died!"
"Nah." Simon replied.
"Bastard!" I then turned to Ellen. "And you! Both of you actually! Why are you still being so damn distant from everyone else!?" Why can't you work with the rest of us?! It is the only way we'll be able to get off this island!"
"Can somebody give the little crybaby bitch a lollipop?" Simon asked. "Maybe then, she'll shut up."
"Asshole!" I tried to punch Simon, but he easily dodged, while laughing.
"Like I said, pointless and ridiculous." Ellen said. She started walking away again.
"Yeah, I'm out of here too." Simon agreed. "Try not to keep crying, little crybaby bitch." Simon walked away too.
I flipped them each a bird as they both headed for their huts. "Fucking assholes!" I then started playing with my ponytail to calm myself down, I was so stressed out at the moment. After playing with my ponytail for a few minutes, I felt a bit better and continued to walk down the path.
I really shouldn't be surprised. Simon and Ellen are both simply pieces of shit. They probably always have been and probably always will be.
Shaking those two out of my mind, I eventually made it to the bathrooms. I saw Gavin was by the bathrooms, who was laying down in the grass, facing the wall of the bathrooms.
I was confused. "Gavin? What are you doing?"
Gavin immediately bolted up and turned around to face me. "Hi Natalie!" I been investigating!"
I was still confused. "Investigating what?"
Gavin smiled at me. "Our situation of course! I'm still doing my best to both figure out a way off this island, as well as solve the mysteries of this entire thing."
I nodded. "I see, and you been looking for clues outside the bathrooms?"
"Not just outside the bathroom, the whole bathroom! I need to be sure to look everywhere! Clues are often hidden in the spots no one would think to look, so I been investigating the bathrooms for the past two hours!"
"Why am I not surprised?" I asked myself.
"I see." I replied. "Well...have you found anything so far?"
Gavin shook his head. "No, but I'm not giving up anytime soon! I just know there is at least one clue hidden around thesebathrooms!"
"Okay...well Gav-"
"I know!" Gavin suddenly got super excited. "You wanna investigate with me Natalie!? I'm already working super hard, but with two people, I know we'll find a lot of clues!"
"What? Ummmmm..."
"Great! Let's get to work!"
I don't know why I didn't lie and just say I needed to be elsewhere, but I spent some time investigating the bathrooms with Gavin. It was easily the most boring and annoying thing I had ever done with my life. After Gavin decided we should take a break for a bit, we were both sitting outside the bathrooms.
"Great work Natalie!" Gavin was still pretty pumped up. "We haven't found any clues yet, but I know we'll both keep doing our best! Those clues are as good as found!"
"Right..." I replied, awkwardly. I really wanted to leave.
Gavin turned to me. "I can't give up now. I know everyone is still counting on me, especially after I already failed twice.
I was confused again. "What do you mean failed?"
"Donald and Raj." Gavin was suddenly super serious.
It hit me. "Oh...Gavin...their deaths weren't your fault, you know that."
"But I made the choice to try and save everyone! And two of us have already fell! I don't want anyone else to die! That is why I need to figure all of this out!"
"Please Gavin, Irene also feels guilty about Donald and Raj as well. But it wasn't her fault either, and since she is our leader, it isn't your fault either Gavin."
Gavin clenched his fists. "Thanks Natalie, I appreciate it. But I still feel the need to take on some responsibility, I won't give up until all sixteen of us are back home safe and sound."
"That's very thoughtful of you Gavin, but please, don't feel the need to take on all of this alone, we're all doing our best to ensure our safety, as well as bring Aqua Tail and anyone else involved in this mess to justice."
Gavin stood back up. "Thank you again Natalie, I do feel better, but I'm not ready to quit for today yet, ready to get back to investigating the bathroom?"
I immediately started to panic inside as I didn't want to at all. "I would Gavin...but I'm actually suppose...to be looking in the forest for clues...Yeah! I decided to spent some time investigating all the trees in the forest."
Gavin smiled and then nodded at me. "Excellent! I'll take over the bathrooms for now, and you check out the forest! We can do this Natalie, I know we can!" Gavin then headed into the bathrooms.
I saw my chance and booked it out of there. I didn't stop running until I reached the forest. Gavin is definitely a sweet and thoughtful guy, but he is pretty crazy, just like pretty much everyone else on this island. I mean, who looks all over the bathrooms for that long? After stopping to catch my breath in the forest, I saw Sam and Henry talking to each other nearby. After my breath was caught, I walked over to them.
"Hey guys." I greeted.
Both Sam and Henry turned to face me.
"Hey Natalie!" Sam greeted me with her usual energy.
"Hello Natalie." Henry greeted me as well.
"Hey Sam, Henry." I returned the greeting. "What are you guys talking about?"
Henry immediately put his hands together and had his weird ass heart eyes. "Sam is giving me advice on how to win Kirsty over!"
"Huh?"
"I thought for sure I knew the way to win over my darling Kirsty! But Sam hit me with the truth! No mere peasant such as myself can simply win over a goddess like her! It takes something special, no, super special in order to make it happen! And with Sam's advice, I will make it happen! Henry just stood there with his creepy heart eyes appearing to get bigger.
I was at such a lost for words, I turned to Sam. "Uh...what?"
Sam simply giggled.
"Sam? What is going on here?"
Sam quickly looked at Henry, who appeared to be stuck in some kind of love trance. She then turned to look at me. "Come here Natalie." Sam grabbed my hand and lead me a small distance away from Henry.
"What is it?"
Sam started to giggle again. "It's just so funny." She continued to giggle."
"Sam...what are you up to?" You do know that Kirsty is a lesbian right?"
Sam continued to giggle. "Oh believe me Natalie, I know that for sure. Henry is the only person in this forest that she wouldn't ever date, hahaha."
I was confused. "Then why are you giving him advice on how to win her over? He did say you came to him with all that crap he just said.
Sam started to laugh a bit louder. "It's just too funny!"
"Sam...you're evil."
Sam did a few backflips while laughing. "Fair, so fair!" Sam backflipped back to Henry.
I groaned before rejoining them.
"Hey Henry!" Sam slapped him on the back, quite hard. It apparently woke him out of his love trance.
"I love you, my dear Kirsty!"
Or maybe not.
Henry turned to Sam. "Thank you so much Sam! I know with your help, Kirsty will return my feelings in no time!"
"Not a problem at all." Sam shot me a quick wank.
I rolled my eyes.
"You should stick around Natalie." Sam cast me an evil smile. "I bet you can also help with Henry's situation."
"Yes! Definitely stick around!" Henry agreed. "It would be such an honor for you to witness what happened right before I married Kirsty!"
"Uhhhhhh..." I tried to think of an excuse to leave.
I didn't, unfortunately. I stuck around while Sam continued her evil plan of helping Henry to win over Kirsty. So badly, I wanted to step in, but it just would of caused drama, plus Henry would still be after Kirsty in the end anyway.
"There you go Henry!" Sam encouraged. "You totally got this!"
"I definitely got this!" Henry was so excited and lost in love right now.
Sam turned to me with an evil smile. "Hilarious!"
I made sure Henry couldn't hear me, before turning to Sam. "Sam...I think we should all be working together to make sure we get off this island alive, not creating more conflict."
Sam just continued to smile evilly at me. "Oh, I know Natalie! I totally agree with you there! And trust me, we will! But for now..." Sam cast a quick glance at Henry, who was still lost in love. "I might as well have a little fun! Bye!" Sam gave a wave and then a backflipped onto tree branches until she was up high on a tree. She then started hopping branches until she was out of sight.
I turned back to Henry, who still appeared lost in that stupid trance of him being in love with Kirsty. "Henry?"
Henry didn't respond.
I sighed and started to walk out of the forest. I still think Sam is a nice girl, but she definitely has a mischievous and slightly evil side to her. As for Henry, that dude really needs to get a freaking clue and get his head where it needs to be.
I kept walking until I arrived at the basketball court. I saw Dane and Miranda were on the court, talking to each other. I immediately started to panic and tried to slowly walk away, hoping they wouldn't notice me. They did, unfortunately.
"Hey Natalie!" Dane called out to me and waved.
Quickly getting my composure back, I waved to them. "Hey Dane, Miranda."
"Hi Natalie." Miranda greeted me with a small smile.
"Hey..." I slowly walked over to join them on the basketball court.
Dane sure looked happy, with him standing next to his new girlfriend Miranda. He then placed his arm around her, pulling her closer to him.
"Don't cry." I told myself, mentally.
"Miranda and I were just enjoying some time together." Dane continued to look happy as he talked. "We went for a walk and eventually ended up by the basketball court."
"I'm just...so happy that Dane and I are finally together." Miranda added, while also looking super happy." "Being with him definitely helps me forget about all the horrible things that have happened and that are still happening."
I noticed Miranda wasn't so nervous when she was speaking, her words must be true if being with Dane helps.
"You as well, Miranda." Dane kissed Miranda softly on her head, which made her giggle and me cry mentally inside. "You make everything okay."
Dane and Miranda then shared a passionate kiss, I stood there and watched, while trying not act horrified and shocked. They eventually broke the kiss.
"Not now Dane." Miranda stated. "Not in front of Natalie."
"Right." Dane replied. "I guess it isn't the most appropriate to do that kind of stuff in front of others.
They then turned back to me.
Dane took Miranda's hand in his. "Anyway Natali-AAAAHHH!" A basketball came flying out of nowhere and smacked Dane right in the back of the head, sending him flying facedown onto the court.
"Dane!" Miranda ran to help him up.
I turned in the direction of the of the basketball to see who had done that, I assumed it was Harvey being the usual asshole he is. I didn't see anyone, so they must have been out of sight by now. I turned back to Dane, who was being helped back to his feet by Miranda.
"Are you okay Dane?!" Miranda asked, concerned.
"Ow! Yeah, I'm okay. Thanks Natalie." Dane replied.
"Are you sure? That looked like it really hurt."
"It did, but I'll be okay. You know I somehow end up being hurt half the time."
"I wish you didn't." Miranda pulled Dane into a hug, which he returned.
Not wanting to watch them hug for an hour, I spoke up. "Glad you're okay Dane, I didn't see who threw that basketball at you though, they must of started running as soon as they threw it."
"It was probably Harvey." Miranda replied as she broke the hug. "He really is a jerk."
"He really is."
"I don't know what his problem is." Dane stated. "But whatever." He then turned to Miranda and smiled. "Shall we continue our wonderful conversation?"
Miranda returned the smile. "Of course!"
Dane turned towards me. "Do you wanna stick around Natalie? We wouldn't mind it."
I absolutely didn't want to stick around, but I didn't have an excuse.
I spent time chatting with Dane and Miranda, I actually didn't add much and really wasn't paying too much attention. I just wanted it to end. Dane and Miranda mainly talked, while I was in my own hell.
"Thank you so much for being so kind, Dane." Miranda smiled at Dane.
Dane returned the smile as he took her hands in his. "I'm happy that I can make you happy."
I couldn't take it anymore.
"Hey guys." I started to say. "I hate to leave like this, but I really gotta go to the bathroom. I'll talk to you guys at lunch."
"Okay." Miranda replied.
"See you later, Natalie." Dane added.
I quickly waved goodbye to them and started to run away. I didn't realize it as I was in such a hurry to go, that I was running in the opposite direction of the bathrooms. I kept up my pace, but expected Dane or Miranda to call out that I was going the wrong way. But they didn't and I made it out of sight before they could notice. Once I was out of sight, I stopped to play with my ponytail for a bit because I was so anxious. I still really like Dane, and I don't want to be mad at Miranda, but seeing them so happy together just makes me upset.
After taking some time to calm down, I continued on with my walk. I realized it was almost time for lunch, so I headed for the hotel. I was walking by the back when I saw there was a volleyball leaning right on the back of the hotel. Curious, I ran up to it. But as I was literally next to the volleyball, I ended up flying upside to the top of the hotel and hanging upside down in the air. I was shocked at first, but I quickly realized what had happened to me.
"RORY!" I yelled.
Rory came out from the side of the hotel, laughing his ass off. Dana followed close behind.
"You bastard!" I continued to shout. "Get me down now!"
Rory fell over, laughing his stupid ass off. "No freaking way! This was so perfect for your first time!"
"Huh?!" I was so confused.
"I'm so sorry, Natalie." Dana apologized. "This was my fault."
"Huh?!"
Rory finally stopped laughing. "For once, this rope trap wasn't me! It was Dana!"
"What?! Stop lying, you dickhead!"
"He isn't lying." Dana stated. "Rory's been teaching me how to do his rope traps and he had me set up my first by myself. I really didn't want to do it, but he kept insisting."
"And you did awesome!" Rory congratulated. "Awesome job Dana!"
"I don't know what the hell is going on." I replied. "But fucking get me down!"
"Please Rory." Dana pleaded.
Rory nodded and lowered me down by playing around with the ropes. After I was free, I tried to punch Rory, but he quickly dodged. I tried to run after him, but Dana got in my way.
"Please Natalie." Dana pleaded. "Don't be mad at Rory, be mad at me. Like I said, I set this rope trap."
"I know." I replied. "But Rory is the one who taught you and convinced you, which is why I'm gonna break his neck."
"Gotta catch me first." Rory grinned at me, while keeping his distance.
"I should of refused." Dana continued. "This was my fault, don't try to harm Rory, please."
I slowly calmed down. "Fine."
"Are you alright Natalie? You weren't hurt, were you?"
"I'm fine, thanks Dana. But why was Rory teaching you his prank?"
"Cause more rope traps are the best!" Rory laughed.
Dana sighed. "I really don't know why I bothered, but Rory came up to me and offered to teach me. And before I knew it, I quickly learned how to set the rope trap and Rory had convinced me to set up my first one, using the volleyball as bait."
"And I was the poor sucker who fell for it." I replied.
Rory continued to laugh. "Right you are babe!"
I got pissed off again and glared at Rory.
Rory put his hands up as if I were to attack him. "Okay! Let me teach you how to set up a rope trap to make up for this funny incident!"
"What?!"
"Relax babe! I'll teach you how to set up one of these bad boys as well."
"I don't give a shit about your stupid pranks!"
"Ouch!"
Dana put a hand on my shoulder to calm me down. "Relax Natalie, Rory is being sincere this time. And while I don't see these rope traps as being needed now, I'm sure someone like you could use them reliably."
"Yeah! What she said!"
I groaned. "Fine."
I spent some time with Rory and Dana, with the former teaching me his stupid rope traps. If you're wondering how I did, it was shit. I can't even tie a knot, so of course none of my rope traps worked. It was such a waste of time.
"Well Natalie." Rory started with. "Yeah, you suck at this."
"Shut up Rory." I replied, annoyed.
"Easy there." Dana added. "Good attempts Natalie."
"Yeah, if you call not even being able to make a knot a good attempt!" Rory burst out laughing.
Getting fed up with Rory, I caught him off guard by socking him right in the chest. Rory fell to the ground, holding his stomach. Dana got down to help him.
I smiled. "Thanks for the lesson there Rory."
"Ouch!" Rory coughed. "That hurt!"
Dana pulled Rory to his feet. "Are you alright Rory?"
Rory nodded.
Dana turned to me. "Please Natalie, calm down."
"Don't even worry about it Dana." I replied. "I'm all calmed down."
I waved goodbye to Rory and Dana and headed to the front of the hotel for lunch time. Dana definitely hasn't changed, but Rory is just getting more obnoxious. I kind of hope Harvey beats the crap out of him.
I reached the hotel patio and sat down for lunch. Not long after I came, my classmates joined me for another lunch. It was pretty much the same, yelling, cursing, name calling, attempts to keep peace, people getting hurt, etc. I groaned as I enjoyed some pizza for lunch.
The next few days pretty much just flew by for those of us still left on the island. Some people still continued to investigate our situation and a way off this island, but several other people just kind of went with the flow, which was a bit concerning, but I guess there wasn't much they could do if nothing new was coming up. Things still appeared the same for most of my classmates. Harvey continued to bully and get hurt, while Rory kept up with his stupid pranks. Henry continued to hit on Kirsty, which led to her getting more aggressive with him. Simon and Ellen mainly kept to themselves, and even when he was there, RK didn't say much. Dana was always watching out for others, and Sapphire was still a brat, as well as not letting go what I did to her in the supermarket. Gavin and Sam and Irene and Bridget seemed to be getting closer, so I knew it wasn't a matter of time before two new couples were announced. Speaking of couples, Dane and Miranda seemed to get more close with each time I saw them. It was honestly hurting me, seeing them so happy. I played with my ponytail so hard to keep myself from crying. But yeah, the days just seemed to drift by on the island.
I was trying to enjoy lunch with my classmates, minus Simon and Ellen of course.
"Man, this sucks." Rory said. "We're still pretty much at square one."
"Shut up geek!" Harvey replied. "I'll take care of you!" Harvey got up from his chair and raised his fist as he ran to punch Rory.
Rory just snickered as he quickly got up, right as Harvey was about to impact with his chair. Harvey collided with the chair and both him and the chair went crashing into the wall.
"Ow!" Harvey cried in pain as he fell to the ground.
Dana sighed as she got up and ran over to take care of Harvey.
"Way to go Rory! Sam cheered for Rory as he sat back down. "You sure put Harvey in his place!"
"I wish this pointless fighting would stop already." Irene replied. "It definitely isn't needed now."
"It isn't working hard at all!" Kirsty agreed.
"Right again! You're so smart, my darling Kirsty!" Henry had his weird ass heart eyes again.
"You're all so annoying!" Sapphire whined. "Shut up, I'm trying to eat my lunch!"
"Well I think Irene is right about this fighting!" Gavin added. "We need to do better here!"
"When you say it, it makes sense, Gavin." Sam rubbed Gavin's arm as she got closer to him.
"The beauty of romance just so artistic!" Bridget commented on, as she did the same thing with Irene.
Irene smiled, extremely happily. "Indeed it is."
"Don't say anything, Henry." Kirsty ordered.
Henry just nodded with his heart eyes.
"So annoying!" Sapphire whined.
"I seriously think I'm starting to hate these people." I thought to myself.
"Hey guys, try to ease up." Dane said as he had his arm around Miranda. "I think we been doing pretty good for awhile."
"Dane is right." Miranda agreed. "Not murders have happened."
"That is true." Dana agreed as she walked Harvey back to his seat. "Even if there is still a lot of...tension in this group, things have been quite peaceful."
"Let's hope we can keep it that way." RK replied.
"Shut up, cleaning boy!" Harvey picked up a glass and threw it at RK, but his aim was so off, it went flying into Dane's face.
"Aaaahhh!" Dane cried as the glass hit him right in the face, it fell into his lap after colliding with his face. Dane covered his face with his hands in pain.
"I guess not." RK stated.
"Are you okay Dane?!" Miranda cried as she started to panic.
"Do you need help?" Dana asked.
Dane kept his face covered a bit longer, before releasing his hands. "I'm...fine... It didn't hurt too much."
"Good." Miranda smiled at Dane before turning to Harvey. "Why are you such a bully, Harvey?"
"What? I hurt nerds and geeks. That is what I do." Harvey replied.
"Well you should stop, it definitely isn't artistic." Bridget replied.
"Me stop? Hahahaha-OW!"
Sam had done a backflip, which ended in her kicking Harvey while she was still in the air. Harvey was knocked out of his chair and flew to the ground.
"Seriously, can you guys stop for one day." Dana stated as she got up and went to check on him.
"Nope." Sam grinned as she sat down on Gavin's lap.
"I mean, if Harvey is being a bully...then yeah." Gavin was definitely getting off to Sam right now.
"I wanna go home, so bad!" I cried to myself.
Irene shook her head. "We still have a long way to go."
"Attention! You very bad students!" Aqua Tail's voice boomed all over the island, making everyone freeze in fear. "You have all been very, very bad! Get your asses to the beach! Now!"
"Shit." Rory stated.
"This can't be good!" Added Sam.
"What does Aqua Tail want?" Dana asked.
"I don't know." Irene answered. "But we have no choice, we have to get to the beach."
"Right." I replied, standing up.
"Ready Miranda?" Dane asked.
"Yeah." Miranda replied, smiling at Dane.
"UGH!" I cried to myself.
One by one, we all walked down the patio stairs and headed for the beach. We didn't know what Aqua Tail had in store for us, but we knew it couldn't be good.
