My Hero Academia. The most-costly victory in all timelines and Shoto got a do-over. Italics are Rated M for character death at the beginning.

They were surrounded in familial blood, pooling and mixing, rubble surrounding them. Touya coughed up a more blood still, "I didn't want to hurt you, just that monster." Shoto cradled his older brother in his arms, fighting back tears, Dabi was dead and Touya didn't have much longer, "You idiot, he wasn't a monster, he was a man with flaws, trying to do better." Touya let tears stream, "I wish we could have been brothers" Shoto hugged him tighter, "Me too" Shoto looked up at the clear night sky above them, "I wish that dad's dream came true." Shoto stopped holding back his sobs as his brother's body went still, watching through tears, as the adrenaline wore off and he slipped into blackness, a single shooting star pass overhead.

Morning Training

"Shoto! It's time for training!" Shoto woke to see his father alive and well, towering over him. Something was off, he looked like a memory, but the anger wasn't there, he had a softness in his eyes, like after his battle with hood, but the scar wasn't there.

Shoto rose from bed and checked his appearance in the mirror. He was five or six, but his scar wasn't present. Shoto followed his father out to the courtyard, waiting with Endeavor was a red-haired boy with streaks of white in it. Touya was ok.

Shoto joined his father and older brother in meditation and stretches. Shoto was sure this had never happened before. Touya was never trained with Shoto, and that training had nothing to do with a calm center.

Their father stood back, "You go first Shoto. Concentrate, focus your power, all you have to do is hit one target, you can practice more after school."

Shoto paused for a moment, his quirk would be much weaker, and his muscle memory would be non-existent. In short, any attempt to use his special moves should be met with a hospital trip, but some level of his trained technique should still be possible. He raised his left hand and pointed his hand at the target, turning his face away, he let out a blast of fire, lighting the middle target aflame.

Endeavor smiled, warmly, proud, like when Shoto said he was going to stop Touya. "Excellent work Shoto!" His father beamed, "Again. This time try to sustain the blast, try for three seconds. Don't get hasty, stop using your quirk if hand gets too hot." Shoto thought for a moment, 'I can manage more than that, if I overheat then I'll use my ice to balance it out.'

Shoto let his flame leap forwards, two seconds of flame jetting out from his left hand after two seconds his fingertips burned almost immediately, and the jet of flame sputtered out as his ice quirk activated. His skill has been reduced. Touya tried similarly only his flame was very much blue until the flames died out. Endeavor was as surprised as Shoto was.

"That was amazing Touya!" Shouted Fuyumi, the two non-hero siblings jumped up and down cheering. "Great job you guys. Now let's eat!" shouted their brother.

Shoto joined his siblings in a rush to the kitchen, they all hurried to take their seats. Dad swapped eggs with Natsuo saying: "You're not making a fool of me again."

Mom insisted she made the eggs, Dad responded, "They're too salty." As he sipped from his glass and his face twisted into a one of disgust, "Why? Vinegar!" Touya took the glass and drained it, while holding eye contact with Natsuo.

"Don't do that!" squealed Fuyumi "You'll get dehydrated."

Shoto thought to himself, if this is a dream that Death allows his victims in their final moment let it last until they cleared the table.
