A City of Criminals
By Thomas W. Tucker
Introduction
After a failed assasination of the head chief of Zootropolis by a prey supremacy group and an array of missing mammal cases plaguing the city, the prey dominated public begin to display their paranoia on the predator population and the long growing suspicion of that part of Zootopia begins to take over. All of this on Frederick Manson's first day returning from retirement under an assumed name and fake identity after his alleged suicide and resignation in 2006, his past and skills will come into play to stop a conspiracy that was years in the making. Despite his age and species, he'll have no problems with shredding terrorists to pieces and hunting both corrupt politicians and their terrorist counterparts who are cooperating with them. How are our favorite cops involved in this and what are they going to figure out through this case?
Chapter one- Heartbeat
Bogo's point of view
Jimmy I need the names of these mammals now "I'll have 'em to you by tomorrow" we don't have that time Jimmy, whoever's doing this isn't working alone! Hell, that weasel was only a distraction! I yelled handing him a picture of the alleged team who was behind the missing mammal cases "I swear I will chief, trust me, I just need to work on it and run it through our criminal databases" I gave him a look of impatience as I dropped my coffee in the garbage and stopped when I noticed something.
What the hell is that? I said looking at the black object in the garbage bin, then it all went white and all I could hear were voices.
"Chief! Chief wake up!" Hopps yelled as I came back to my senses and blinked, wh-what the hell happened? I asked turning to see A paramedic doing CPR on Jimmy and looking up "he's gone" I reached my hand out, no. What the fuck is . . . going on here? "Keep pressure on that wound chief!" Wilde said as it all started to get whiter and then there was nothing.
Nick's point of view
"He's . . . He's gone" the paramedic said stepping back, I shook my head solemnly before we looked behind us "the hell he is!" Officer Michael said running over to the Chief and taking out some kind of needle or syringe and sticking it into his arm "hey you can't do . . . !" A pistol was held in front of the medics head "trust me" "he's gone private!" Mchoofer yelled as Michael started yelling.
Bogo's point of view
"Sergeant!" A familiar voice yelled as I felt a hard slap on my face and came to my senses again "for fucks sake wake the hell up! Sargent!" Manson yelled before punching the ground "son of a bitch! I'll kill whoever . . ." Manson, I said weakly as he looked at me and bent over me "get him to a fucking ambulance! Now!" Manson what is . . . "On your feet soldier! We. Are. Leaving!" He said, picking me up on his shoulder "here! Put him on the stretcher!" Someone yelled outside as I felt pain everywhere on my body and looked up at the grizzly, that ice cold stare he always had was replaced with an actual look of concern, one like he had when I was wounded in Saudi Arabia.
When we got in the vehicle he sat next to me with Wilde and Hopps "is he stable?" "Just barely sir, I think you should . . ." He crushed his cigar in between his fingers "does it look like I give a damn?" "Calm down will you? The chief's stable, that's all that matters" Wilde said before he leaned over me and chuckled "one day huh? That's a world record if I ever seen one" even in my situation, I couldn't help but to grin, trust me Manson, we've seen our fair share of those, he sat down and lit a cigarette this time "your gonna be alright sergeant, if you die now I'll . . ." Do something you regret? I said finishing his sentence "Yeah" "I'm sorry but I thought he's a private, why does he know you so well?" Hopps asked in a worried voice "that's not a concern here" Manson said cracking his knuckles "I'm gonna make sure these bastards pay" easy Manson, even if I have no idea what's going on I'm assuming . . . "There was an explosion in the station Bogo, most likely a terrorist" "they got you pretty good chief" I'm fine Wilde, what else happened? "Jimmy . . . He's dead" I was going to say something before we were interrupted by the paramedics who rushed us into the hospital.
