"You are one sexy mother fucker Quinn Fabrey." Rachel mumbled as she watched the blonde walk out of the choir room and down the hall.

Rachel Berry the head cheerleader of McKinley high was notorious for having anything she wanted, however Quinn had been the one thing that Rachel hadn't gotten. . . yet. It didn't seem to be a question of whether or not she would, she knew, some way, somehow she would get that girl. Even if it was the last thing she did at McKinley High.

Quinn Fabrey, a classy girl if anything, was less than liked in her high school. The rest of the student body found her up tight, too judgy for their liking. She didn't hold the power to decide whether or not other people should be liked or not, but she tried. Or she followed her own rules that the rest of the people didn't. For example, everyone liked Rachel berry, she was the sweetest girl you would ever meet, until you got on her bad side, she was extremely attractive and she was the captain of the Cheerio's. What was not to like about the girl? According to Quinn, everything. She saw her as fake, a plastic figure of who people thought she should be and she hated it. Though the rest of the people hated her for hating the brunette.

Rachel seemed unperturbed by the obvious dislike to her by said blonde, it actually encouraged her. She had gotten too tired of people doing exactly what she told them to do: in school, at home, everywhere she went, with her daddy doing what he did even when she went out. With the protection of 4 bodyguards, everyone did what she told them and sometimes even more. She just wanted one person to say 'no' to her. And Quinn did. . . .Several times a day.

"Hey Quinn, anyone ever tell you to respect the people better than you." A random football player shouted across the field over to the parking lot where the blonde was walking to her car.

"Yeah they have, I just don't see anyone who's better than me." She shouted back quickly. She was not in the mood to take anymore shit.

"You little bitch, everyone here is better than you." The same boy shouted before making his way over to her.

"Hey, hey, hey. Jake, give it a break yeah." Rachel cut in the middle of the two knowing exactly what would have happened if she hadn't stopped the boy.

"Rach, listen, I know what you said but she disrespected me." Jake Whined, kicking his foot into the ground. "You know I gotta fix it."

"No, what I know is that you started it out of no where." The brunette shot back, standing to her full height of 5"2'. "Now back up."

"I don't need your help Berry." Quinn gave a helpful input into the situation.

"Oh I think you do." Rachel snapped at the blonde for probably the first time ever "Now back up, both of you."

The footballer moved first, backing up with a swing of his arms. Quinn was second to move, hesitantly though. She did know that she would have been in trouble, and to be honest the small brunette snapping at taken her by surprise, it was like seeing her for the first time, seeing her for the angry hostile girl she was. And who would expect anything else, from the daughter of a mob boss.

Once Rachel watched the large boy retreat far enough she turned around to the already disappearing girl. "Y'know you should be carful how you talk to some of the boys on the football team, I won't be here every time to save you." She smirked as she fell in step with Quinn.

"I don't need your protection." Quinn insisted as she attempted to quicken her step to her rid of the other girl.

"Sure you do." Rachel shrugged, "I over heard a group of them talking about what they would do to you tonight, I think its better to just swallow your pride and accept the help. Just this once." Quinn looked over and again she saw the switch from playful school Rachel to the serious dark girl she had caught a glimpse of just before. And again, it scared her.

"What were they saying?" She asked.

This town wasn't famous for being the safest place in America, it was hard to find a cop that wasn't being payed off by some gang to keep things quiet. It was even harder to find someone at school who hadn't done anything illegal, the severity's of the crimes committed varied dramatically. Quinn was actually the one teenager to not even partake in underage drinking. So seeing Rachel get so. . . angered? by what the boys had said, the girl who had presumably killed people for her daddy, well it was terrifying to say the least.

"That's not important now." Rachel assured, her mood changing once again to the happy care free diva she was in school. "Your under my protection from now on. No one goes near you without my say so."

Quinn looked sceptically at the small brunette, there were only two other people who had this privilege, Santana and Brittany. They were Rachel's best friends ever since kindergarten. The three hadn't even had one minor falling out in all the years they've know each other. Rachel had put them under her protection as soon as she met them, claiming that they were her soulmates. Her daddy, of course, obliged with the request and had the two protected even from outside of the school.

Let me say again, this town was not a safe place to be for two little girls. A multitude of unspeakable things could happen to them and they very well could have if it were not for more of the Berry's goons protecting their every move.

"Why?" Quinn asked as she stopped at her car, not wanting to leave without the answers. She knew the brunette had 'asked her out' several times. Using the term asked out loosely as it was usually just offers to have the 'time of her life' back at her place or sometimes even in the janitors closet. But she never really thought Rachel would go this far into perusing her just for sex.

"The world is a dangerous place for pretty blondes like yourself." Rachel smirked.

"Yeah their made dangerous by people like your dad." Quinn snapped, without thinking. This girl had just saved her but she just couldn't help herself from answering back.

Rachel looked taken aback for a moment before chuckling. "Is that what your dear father tells you when he gets home from the news station after he's done with his little segment about how evil my daddy is?" She paused but seeing that Quinn wasn't saying anything else she continued. "You think if the Berry's weren't in this town everything would be sunshine and rainbows. That this town is only fucked up because of my daddy. Because if that's what goes on in that pretty little head of yours then you would be sorely mistaken." Her eyes hardened for a moment before lightening up yet again.

Quinn was silent as she watched the brunette recover from her speech. She didn't want to say anything, she didn't have anything to say. She knew that realistically it would be insane for all the crime to come from just one family, and she knew that this place had always been bad even before the Berry's arrived. But all her life she had been told one thing. The law is the law and it is there for a reason, God put us here too keep to the rules and the laws of human kind help us. She was less religious than the rest of her family but she still believed that you should always stick to the law and never intentionally revert from it.

"I'm going to drive you in my car, I'll have one of my guys pick yours up and drive it home." Rachel spoke after a long lull in the conversation.

"What, why? What are you talking about?" Quinn protested as the keys were quickly and effortlessly taken from her hands.

Rachel turned around, making her way to her black range rover, quickly followed by Quinn. "I'm not sure all the boys got the memo on the whole don't go near you situation so I'm not taking any chances."

They got in the car without any further confrontation, it was silent for most of the ride except the radio filled with the classics. Quinn actually recognised and appreciated most of the songs. Rachel concentrated on the road ahead when given nothing else to do.

"They must have said some really messed up stuff for you to do this." Quinn spoke shyly, crossing her arms over her stomach of the uneasy feeling in her gut from just the thought of what could have happened to her.

"I would have protected you even if they were just threatening to throw you in the dumpster." Rachel shrugged, though her eyes held a different story. "But yeah, what they said got me angry."

"Why?" Quinn asked.

"It got me angry? Well it was messed up in itself, and no one should be talking about anyone the way they were talking about yo-" Rachel began but was cut off by Quinn.

"No, I mean why would you have protected me even from a small thing." She asked looking at the brunette with a furrowed brow and a deepening crease on her forehead.

"Well I always have." Rachel shrugged, she glanced at the blonde to find a confused face peering back at her. "Notice how no one likes you yet you never get any slushies or any real repercussions apart from the odd verbal beatdown?" Rachel asked, a slight nervous tilt to her voice at the confession.

Quinn hunched her shoulders at the statement that no one liked her, sure most people didn't but there were a few that talked to her sometimes. "Well I mean yeah, but-" She stopped, her thoughts only just catching up to the statement. "You mean you stopped everyone from attacking me. Even from the begging of middle school?" She was shocked. She had never really noticed not being physically assaulted, because really who noted the times you didn't get thrown in a dumpster when you never had. She just assumed they had some rule against doing it to girls, but then she realised that no, so many looser girls got he exact same treatment as looser guys.

"Well yeah." Rachel admitted, forcing her eyes to stay on the road. "You really never noticed?"

"But why?" Quinn asked.

"Your actually gonna make me say it?" The brunette looked uneasy, "Don't you already know, its not like I've made it subtle." She continued. It was her turn to look confused as she saw the utter bewilderment in hazel eyes. She really didn't know. "Never mind then." She relented, if she didn't know, or even have a suspicion then she surely didn't want to.

Quinn looked at the brunette with concern, she seemed almost disappointed. Like she was hoping for some big life changing thing to happen that just slipped by her. But Quinn didn't have any time to think anymore of this as the car pulled up to a stop, she was just about to get out when she realised this wasn't her house.

"Erm, why aren't we at my house. Where are we?" Quinn asked, getting a bad feeling that something was going to extremely bad for her.

"Welcome to my humble abode." Rachel Waved her arms in front of her, presenting the huge mansion to the other teenager with a smirk. "I told you I didn't want to take any chances. Pluss I thought it would be creepy if I just rocked up to your house without asking for directions. I mean I could but I don't know how much you would appreciate that. Pluss, I don't think your father would have appreciated the daughter of his most hated person on this earth turning up to his house on a random Wednesday." Rachel explained as they both got out of the car and walked up to the front door.

"Yeah, your probably right." Quinn muttered as she walked up the big steps to the house. "But what about your daddy. I can't imagine he would be too happy seeing the daughter of the only person in this town who won't bend under his thumb." She worried her bottom lip, going into the towns most dangerous mans house was not her idea of fun.

Rachel hesitated for a moment, she knew in reality her daddy would have been ecstatic for her if he found out that Quinn Fabrey was willingly coming into her home but she couldn't really explain that to Quinn. "Well my daddy is a very forgiving man, and he knowns not to associate the fathers actions with the daughter." Rachel explained as she opened the door and stepped into the house, turning expecting Quinn to follow her. When that didn't happen she added, "Pluss he's not here right now. Said he would be late back from work tonight." She shrugged, then smirked as Quinn finally crossed the threshold.

Rachel ignored Quinn as she muttered, "Is that what you call it, work?" and instead headed to the kitchen to grab snacks and drinks.

"What's your poison?" She asked holding the fridge open to show a multitude of alcohols mixed with some soft dinks.

"Er, I'll take a diet coke please." The blonde accepted the drink, breathing a sigh of relief when Rachel grabbed the same for herself.

"Y'know, if Santana were here she would be straight onto the wine for tonight." Rachel said as an after thought. She loved the way her best friends mind worked. When Quinn gave her an incredulous look she thought it best to explain further. "Don't get me wrong, were not all just a bunch of alcoholics drinking at any possible opportunity. It was just a really long day. For all of us."

"Oh?" Quinn asked in curiosity, but she already saw the brunette begin to shut down. "What made it so long?"

Instead of replying Rachel turned around and gestured for Quinn to follow her up the stairs. Although hesitantly, she did. They walked in silence until they reached the door with a gold star on it. Quinn wondered just how many people from school had seen the inside of Rachel's bedroom. She wondered if it was a regular boring old thing for the rest of the school or whether she would be posted of some wall of fame afterword's for this. Not that she would even tell anyone, or that she cared about whether people would like her more because of this. She was just curious.

From the amount of times Rachel had invited her back here for some late night fun, Quinn concluded that quite a few people would have seen the inside of her room.

"You coming in?" Rachel asked at the open door. "Don't worry I won't proposition you for sex at any point. Pluss I'll keep my hands to myself." She smirked holding her hands up to show the girl that they would in fact be minding their own business.

Quinn gave the brunette an unimpressed look before stepping onto the room. It was nice, a deep sky blue coated the walls that were covered in pictures and shelves, on one side there was a whiteboard with a doodle of some kind next to the words 'Rae needs to take a chill pill before she scares the girl off'. Quinn read it with a raised eyebrow now seeing that the drawing was of Rachel holding a massive bouquet of flowers up for a girl who was shaking her head and trying to run away. She noted that whoever had drawn it was incredibly talented.

Rachel saw the blonde chuckling at the artwork and hurried to rub it off. "Santana has a funny fucking mind when she wants." She grumbled as the pen got more difficult to rub off since it had been there quite a while. She ended up giving up with only Rachel left on the board with flowers.

"Who's the girl your scaring off?" Quinn asked, a curiosity that slightly squeezed her chest at the thought of Rachel going after another girl even more than she did her. This girl got flowers.

Rachel stared at the blonde quizzically, as if she had asked the brunette what 2x1 was before she answered. "No one." Was all she gave before she turned around to walk over to her bed to take a seat.

Quinn watched the small brunette with an even questioning gaze. it was no secrete that Rachel was a very private person, she had to be, but she had never really held any information that Quinn asked of her. The diva had always been willing to answer any question Quinn had, even if she hadn't asked her.

"So what am I actually doing here?" Quinn asked, not taking a seat just yet.

"I told you." Rachel raised her head a little and turned it to the side. "I'm not taking any chances with those idiots until everyone knows that your under my protection 100%."

"I thought you said I already have been since I moved here." Quinn asked, she just wanted to go home and read.

"Yeah well, the last time you rejected my advances, so brutally and publicly I may add, some people thought that it would get them back in my good graces if they got one on you." Rachel scowled, not at the thought of being rejected by this particular girl again, she had gotten used to that, but at the thought that people thought they could hurt her.

Quinn winced at the memory of her last outbreak. It was actually yesterday that it happened. She was walking to her next and favourite lesson, English, when Rachel came up to her. It was moving time for everyone so the hallway was full of students and Quinn was just trying to make it though the day. Rachel yet again asked her out, this time to dinner and a movie, which Quinn could only assume was some code word for sex. She had had enough that day and just wanted it to be over so she snapped, like severely. I wont go into the details but all Quinn knew was that until the football player had come for her earlier that day Rachel hadn't even attempted to make eye contact with her. And all Rachel knew was that afterword's she had decided to skip next period and spend it crying in the toilets with Brittany and Santana to comfort her.

"Oh, well. I'm sorry, by the way about yesterday, especially now with you protecting me or whatever." Quinn looked down, ashamed about her actions, its not like she strived to make the girl hurt, she just. If her father found out that Rachel was perusing her there would be hell to pay. She wouldn't hear the end of it for the rest of her life.

"Don't be." Rachel shrugged wanting to move away from the topic. "Anyway, so what do you wanna do? we can watch TV or a movie, maybe online shop, horse riding, dirt biking, go for a run, your choice. As long as your on the grounds and safe."

"Erm, maybe just watching TV." Quinn suggested walking over the the bed to take a seat before remembering who she was with.

Rachel saw the hesitation and smirked though the slight pain in her chest. She moved as far as possible to the edge of the bed and moved back to rest her back on the headrest. "Don't worry, I keep my promises." She reassured.

Quinn nodded her head before sitting on the other end of the bed at the headrest too. Not a word was spoken while Rachel picked out a TV show to watch. She settled on watching friends, it was nice and neutral and who didn't like friends. When she didn't hear any complaints she patted herself on the back and pressed play.

It was nice for a while, the two girls just sitting and watching the show. That was until they both heard the door downstairs open and close, it was almost impossible not to hear with the amount of strength that the person closing the door uses. Both girls looked at each other, Quinn seemed to panic while Rachel just seemed confused. She had forgotten something, she knew that, it was the same feeling she always got of the thing being right on the tip of her tongue.

They heard two sets of footstep coming up the stairs and that's when Rachel paused the TV. It wasn't her dad, he would have called out to her, it wasn't the cleaners they worked during the school hours. She racked her brain to remember if her daddy had told her anyone was coming but she came up with nothing. But still she didn't panic. To get though into her house you had to know the code to get thought the gate, a pre approved for that day thumb print scanner and a key. Whoever was in her house was supposed to be there. Just who?

That question didn't last long as her door was flung open to reveal Santana and Brittany with three bags of toffee popcorn in hand. "Rae, d'you hear about the group of footballers trying to get to your addic-" Santana spoke not looking up into the room, instead dragging what seemed to be a huge duffle bag on the floor.

"Quinn!" Brittany interrupted before Santana could say anymore.

"Quinn?" The Latina repeated, looking up at the blonde of her best friend's bed. She same blond that made her cry just yesterday. "What the fuck are you doing her? What the fuck is she doing here?" She looked to Rachel who just looked at the two latest addition to her room.

"Making sure the footballers don't come after her at her home. What the fuck are you doing here?" she asked.

"Its Wednesday." Santana answered as if it answered all the questions in the universe.

"what?" Apparently not.

"She said its Wed-ned-day!" Brittany shouted. She knew Rachel had heard her she just like to laugh at the brunette. "Y'know the day every week where your daddy works late so we come over and watch movies and eat junk." she pointed to the duffle bag as if trying to jog the brunettes memory.

A sudden realisation came across Rachel's face as her eyes widened, she looked between all three girls before gasping. "Oh! It completely slipped my mind I'm so sorry." She apologised, standing up to hug her two best friends.

"Yeah yeah, we both know you were too distracted by little miss I'm better than everyone else to remember its fine." Santana said while simultaneously hugging Rachel and glaring at Quinn.

The Latina hadn't really had a problem with Quinn until she stated hurting Rachel, that's when things started going south for the blonde. Santana concluded a while ago that she could pretend to be the clueless blonde all she wanted, but nobody gets treated the way Rachel treats her and doesn't catch on that the brunette likes her more than just a quick fuck. Then Santana concluded that the multitude of harsh rejections given to Rachel were just cruel and from someone who claimed to be the pinnacle of goodness and lawfulness that just poured salt in the wound. So no Santana did not like her at all.

"Santana be nice." Rachel chastised gently as she gave the Latina a disapproving look as she came out of the hug.

"I'll be nice when she starts being nice to you." Santana argued back. She had never been one to be afraid of saying what she felt to people. As long as what she felt was anger.

"When have I not been ni-" Quinn started, frowning because as far as she could tell it had been Santana first who was mean to her.

"Movie!" Brittany stopped the sure to be fight from carrying on. She had always been the one to break up the bickering or fighting in anything. She hated violence.

"Movie!" Rachel agreed.

"Okay, I'm gonna go." Quinn stood up getting her bag to leave.

Rachel's smile dropped from her face at the eagerness of the blond to leave, Santana and Brittany both saw this and felt the ache in their hearts, the same one they felt whenever their saw their best friend hurt.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Santana spoke up as the blonde was making way to the door.

"Why not, you clearly don't want me here." Quinn snapped as she turned around to face the raven haired girl.

"Sure I don't but Rachel does so I'll deal." Santana shrugged. "Pluss there was talk of the boys going back to yours tonight to get that revenge they so sweetly desire." A glint in Santana's eye was everything Quinn needed to believe her.

"Fine." Quinn dropped her bag on the floor again and looked to Rachel to see what to do now.

"Why don't we watch the Movies down stairs." It wasn't a question and everyone knew it, so they just headed off down, following the small brunette. "Are you guys able to stay tonight?" Rachel asked as they walked.

"Yeah we are, that's what took up half the bag, the rest is food." Brittany answered with a bright smile on her face.

"Yeah and the vodka." Santana smirked as she saw the smaller blond tens up at the mention of alcohol. But she didn't mention it, instead taking delight that she was causing the blond stress.

The night consisted of Santana and Brittany comfortably sitting on one side of Rachel, Brittany's legs were draped across both the brunettes and Santana had her head resting on Rachel's shoulder and her hand on Brittany's thy. Rachel was slightly less comfortable, she took as much relief she could get from the contact of her best friends but even that couldn't ease her tightening chest at the knowledge that Quinn would rather sit on the least comfortable one seater couch than sit next to her.

As soon as Santana and Brittany arrived she became painfully aware of how stupid her decision for Quinn to come to her house was. She wasn't exactly thinking when she took the blonde home, she was just furious. But now with two colliding worlds from school in one house, an admittedly large house but still.

"Hey Quinn, how come you and your dad are so against Rachel and her family." Santana asked innocently. They had just finished their 3rd movie and they were getting restless and bored.

"I don't need to explain myself to you Santana Lopez." Quinn argued. "I don't think you, of all people, should be questioning my morals."

Santana snorted and placed her hand on top of Rachel's arm before she tried to protest. "Really, I'm not the one who disrespects Rachel at every point when she is nothing but nice, accommodating and who literally protects you at any opportunity."

Quinn froze for only a second before responding. "I do not disrespect Rachel, this is not what were talking about. I just don't like criminals and Rachel and her dad are one of the biggest criminals in this town." She defended.

"Oh just because they break the bias rules that only accommodate the privileged doesn't mean she ad bad person." Brittany defended as she saw Rachel's reluctance to talk though this.

and then they all fuck the brains out of each other. Quinn realises that wow. she had actually been in love with Rachel her whole life. She joins a crime family and Russel is not happy, but screw him, he's a dick.
