Charlie's pov

A few moments after hitting the floor, I began to come to, hearing my wife's worried and desperate pleas for me to wake up as I slowly and carefully opened my eyes, fully aware they'd be hit with fluorescent lighting first thing. I still squinted against the harsh lights, using my arm as a shield as I slowly moved to a sitting position. Thankfully, I had not hit my head and was not concussed, having passed out from shock alone.

Annie placed her hand on my arm

"Hey, baby. Are you back with us?"

I nodded

"Yeah. Sorry. I just was NOT expecting quads..."

She laughed lovingly

"Yeah, I kinda figuring that out when you went lights out."

She then kissed me and we got the sonogram footage and headed home, where we would be receiving our families later on tonight to give them the update.

TIMESKIP

Finally, the time for everyone to get together was upon us, and our families instantly hounded us for the much anticipated update, not caring for pleasantries or hellos. I had to tease

"Hey to you all too"

We laughed and sat out in our beautiful porch, all eyes eagerly on us. Instead of another Murtaugh/Baker competition, we had decided to tell them this flat-out, especially since Annie had been dying to tell them about my reaction.

I smiled, now more acclimated to the reality of our situation

"We're having quads. Two little boys and two little girls."

All at once our visitors swarmed us in hugs and congratulations, and my Mom, Dad, Jimmy and Sirena spoke

"Four at once?!"

I nodded, and Annie spoke

"Yep. We were NT expecting it, least of all Charlie. He fainted cold on the floor!"

After I pacified my concerned mother, I realized Kyle, Nigel and Sarah had laughed hearing of my reaction. So, naturally, I began to chase them around fingers attacking their sides when I got close enough, just like back in the day. Our families were adamant with helping with the nursery, Lorraine especially. Of course. Nora and Bud then spoke up

"And you can look at the clothes that Tommy outgrew, for your boys."

We thanked them, and Elliott stopped glancing lovingly at Sarah long enough to bring up the fact that we could now start thinking of names, since we knew numbers and genders. That would certainly be an interesting activity with both of our families together to help, or "help"... time would tell which they would end up doing.
