A/N: Hey everyone! I have returned as promised with another chapter to the OOO story! As you all recall, I mentioned that I will primarily be focusing on one story so it can be finished and allow me time to complete the others. In which this story is the one to mostly focus on. Work has been constantly tiring me out at times and I often wonder if I should take a vacation? Aside from that, I am getting sidetracked! Let's just get this show on the road!

Greeed/Yummies

Within the throne room of the White Fang, the High Leader sat there. It was a young woman with brown skin and black stripes, along with cat ears as her kind was closer to a tiger than the other Faunus's. She wore four golden earrings on three of her ears, one each on her Human ears, and two on her left Faunus ear as well as a small jewel resting on her forehead.

She was seen wearing a form-fitting black dress with light green accents on the rims of the outfit; the dress left most of her back open, had two long splits on the side which revealed a pair of black shorts, a shorter split in the front and a small squared keyhole. Over the dress, she wore a back-revealing red cape with gold accents, as well as a green waist cincher with red rims that had a black belt over it, which fastened a green pouch on her right hip. Aside from that, she wore black stockings in conjunction with green sandals that had red laces which were tied to her calves, as well as a black elbow length fingerless glove on her right hand.

This was Sienna Khan. The High Leader of the White Fang and successor to Ghira. And she was looking down at the kneeling Faunus. Her spies informed her of some very disturbing events that took place during and after the Fall of Beacon. She was truly upset about this and needed answers.

To hear of the request to attack Haven Academy was what upset her. First Beacon and now Haven? No, that would absolutely be unnecessary. And once he arrived, she decided to give him a earful after hearing his request.

"Adam, I'm not going to repeat myself, so I want you to listen when I tell you that the White Fang will not attack Haven Academy." Sienna warned.

"High Leader Khan, I'm begging you." He hid his true reason behind his words. He had to wait patiently.

Sienna frowned, "You should beg for forgiveness and nothing else! The assault you led on Beacon was not a great victory you clearly think it was."

"But High Leader-"

"Silence!" Sienna's voice shouted, echoing the room. "What you did was inexcusable."

"I was merely following your example."

"And what example might that be?"

"Strength. Strength and unwavering conviction. The humans have seen that strength now."

"I was one of the first to suggest violence where violence was necessary. Peace bred complacency and acceptance of our place. I will not allow humanity to push us down without pushing back." The High Leader continued. "But the destruction of the Huntsmen Academies crosses a line! The loss of the CCT has brought global communication to a crawl! And the White Fang is more of a target now more than ever before! You have justified humanity's campaign against, and for what?! Empty promises by a group of humans? Humans we still know nothing about, and come and go as they please! They are not examples of strength, Adam. They are examples of your talents being diminished by shortsightedness! Your arm to serve as that reminder of your action!"

Adam's arm clenched while the prosthetic didn't. That moment where he lost a part of his pride and his arm by the hands of a human. He kept himself calm at the memory.

"So much blood is now on your hands Adam. And I won't let that blood stain the White Fang anymore. Guards? Take Adam away." She ordered.

"Oh they won't." A voice chimed.

Sienna abruptly noticed someone leaning against the now opened doors as Hazel was following behind the one in yellow. The young man with the cap idly looking at his knuckles.

The woman scowled and looked at Adam. "You brought humans to this location?" She chastised.

"Oh the big guy is human. Not me."

"What do you mean by that, human?"

Kazari grinned and allowed Cell Medals to dance across his form, revealing his true form. Her eyes filled with surprise upon seeing the… monster. It held full animal traits unlike a Faunus. Feline traits on his head and studded armor on his torso. His legs were wrapped in light brown bandages while a belt that indicated his monster form hugged his waist.

"I'm a Greeed. And the name is Kazari." The Greeed approached.

"Adam, what is the meaning of this?"

"This? Sienna? Is what power is." Adam answered, "And this world doesn't need weak people like you."

Sienna growled but nearly buckled against her throne when she noticed Kazari already leaning against the support of the seat. He moved fast, she didn't notice and now he looked at his knuckles again.

"Bullboy is full of such desires isn't he?" The yellow Greeed asked her.

She was about to act but Hazel didn't expect Kazari to abruptly stop Sienna's claw. He twisted it so hard, her Aura couldn't repair the damage done. Sienna was on the ground, pinned as her arm was twisted by Kazari.

"In the end. Such desires can lead to stronger cases for me." He leaned down and purred quietly that only she could hear, "Like the king has done to me and my four other kin centuries ago. Tools like Adam. He won't know what hit him. And you." He grabbed her by the neck, earning a wheeze from Sienna, kicking her legs in growing fear by the monster.

Hazel needed to stop Kazari but it was too late. The yellow Greeed punched Sienna but the razor sharp blades grew out from the knuckles and through her body. Sienna's eyes widened, the stab wounds slowly spreading red on her attire. Kazari hummed and pulled his arm away, allowing Sienna to fall and roll across the ground of the throne room.

The Feline Greeed felt amusement before plopping onto the throne, lazily sitting on it.

"Kazari, get off that-'' Adam stopped when the Greeed had his metal claw out, still stained in blood.

"What were you going to say, bull boy?" Adam gritted his teeth. "Come on, what was it?"

"Never. Mind." The Bull Faunus seethed through his teeth.

"Don't worry. You'll still lead but I will be checking on things in your place. Can't have any backlashes as before."

Hazel frowned at the Bull Faunus. "This wasn't what I was told from you, Adam."

"It's my business, not yours."

"It is our business now and I don't appreciate you or your partner there withholding things like that."

"Do remember Hazel." The man looked at the throne. "Your Queen doesn't know I am with you two. Oh, how would she be when she learns I am with you without telling her? Angry at you perhaps?" Hazel held his tongue at the smug remark.

"I would rather take her wrath by telling the truth, than continue to see you spill blood, monster."

"Conflict is endless big guy. Same as it was 801 years ago. War never ended; neither did violence. Death and greed always take hold of everyone in the old kingdom." Kazari yawned, stretching before relaxing with his hands behind his head. "If you excuse me. I shall be enjoying this moment and some ideas to plan during my nap before I head out." Despite being a homunculus, they need an occasional (not always) rest to reserve energy for battle.

Hazel didn't condone Kazari's actions nor Adam's plot to overthrow Sienna Khan. However, with Kazari still around, he was manipulating Adam and driving the Faunus with more desire for Faunus to be superior. His eyes trail to Sienna's body being carried away.

"Nobody needed to die today." Hazel grimly murmured.

Remnants of Desires: After the Fall

Chapter 9: Speeches, The Obstacles, Emotions

My eyes snapped open and hit my head against the bunk above me. I winced, rubbing my head to ease the minor pain. I ran a hand over my face, taking deep breaths to relax. I guess after what happened previously with Poseidon a few days ago made me sleep uncomfortably. I held a hand over my mouth to stifle a yawn and relaxed. It wasn't easy given what happened recently. With a Grimm Greeed wearing the armor of Poseidon, it complicated things here in Kuo Kuana. The Menagerie Guards having to patrol for any sights of either a Yummy or the Grimm Greeed and people were concerned about another attack by either one.

I craned my head down, reminded of the reason for its birth. The negativity it had from Gara and its desire to become a god. With Gara's death, it led to the birth of that abomination. My stomach growled, reminding me to eat breakfast.

Moving myself off the bed, I stretched a bit and saw Gamel and Ankh were still asleep as was Sun. Walking out of the room, I sighed tiredly, rubbing my eyes to rid my grogginess.

"Good morning, Enrique." Kali smiled within the kitchen, "Seems someone needs some food to wake up." She giggled.

"Morning…" I yawned through my greeting and fell onto the cushion.

"Didn't get a good sleep?"

"I guess…" Probably from how unsettled I was from the new Greeed or the fact I have to deal with two individuals now who want me dead. "You wouldn't happen to-"

The small clink was heard as a small plate with a cup of tea on top of it was set in front of me. "Thanks…"

"You're welcome." Blake's mother smiled and sat across from me. "Does it still bother you? About that Greeed?"

I raised my head to her then at the tea. She must have figured the incident still bothered me. "Yeah." I admitted bitterly. "Just worried about another attack happening. Feels like it's my fault to bring the trouble with the Greeed here to your home village."

I thought we would have no trouble with any Greeed, the White Fang, or people like Cinder. I bit off more than I could chew when I was attacked by a Grimm Yummy, a psychotic Scorpion Faunus who is working for someone (Cinder's leader), and the White Fang. Ilia nearly killed me. I rubbed my shoulder again, uncomfortable at the reminder.

"Enrique, sweetie. Don't think that." Kali smiled, trying to cheer me up, "If anything, you've been nothing but helpful here. Not only saved the Faunus' lives from those attacks, but also brought Blake back to us, unharmed and even more so. Ghira and I have our faith in you as much as your friends."

My eyes drifted down at my hands, reminded of the endeavors we all endured.

Kali smiled softly as she patted my shoulder, making me look up to her, "You've not only given us hope again, but you brought back the passion to protect others in both my husband and Blake. I know you can do this."

I paused, holding back a response before giving a curt nod.

"Food! Food!" We heard a familiar cheer before we all winced to the harsh impact. We both turned our heads to see Gamel on the ground with literal smoke pouring off his hair as Ankh shook his once flaming claw.

"Still a gluttonous beast." Ankh drawled and walked over him.

"Must you always hit him?" Kali rebuked.

"If you've been around him longer than you think, you'll see how he is." Being with the Beast Greeed 801 years ago, Ankh knew him better than anyone else. "He is childish… and dumb."

The gray kaijin immediately stood up and pouted, "I'm not dumb, Ankh!" The said blonde rolled his eyes.

"Whatever." He waved off.

"Morning." Pyrrha yawned. "Is everyone else awake?"

"Ghira is making preparations for his speech that is in a few hours." Blake's mother kindly answered. "Is Blake asleep?"

"She recently woke up."

"Plan to give her a good morning kiss?" Sun chuckled, teasing me once more.

My eyebrow twitched before I made ice erupt below the Monkey Faunus' feet, making him trip and hold his frozen feet.

"AH! Too cold!" The blonde Faunus yelped upon crashing below.

"Then don't tease me about my love life." I warned. "Next time it will be up to the arms."

"C-Crystal clear! Mind making ice vanish now?"

I flicked my wrist, allowing the ice to evaporate into air. The blonde Faunus rubbed his cold feet to ease the frozen temperatures it endured.

"Hmph, should've just left him in it." Ankh huffed.

I shrugged. "Wouldn't be good if the ice permanently froze his limbs." Sun shuddered at the image.

"Sometimes I wonder if there's a devious side in you, Enrique." Sun inquired.

"No." I denied. "Well… protective… maybe…" I recalled the old memories.

"Yeesh. You sound like Ruby's uncle she introduced back in the tournament."

"The only actual smart human around." Ankh commented. "Drunken asshole that he was." He flexed his claw. "Would have pummeled him if I wanted to."

"Language."

"Like I-" Ankh's red eyes paused when he saw Kali glare at him. Sun and I swallowed to the glare Blake's mom held. "... Tch." the bird Greeed grumbled.

Sun leaned over to me and whispered, "Remind me not to upset her."

"Noted." I agreed.

After a few hours with the meals and routines, we all got ourselves resdy for the upcoming speech Ghira planned to make to everyone in the village.

"Okay, remember to breathe, dad." Blake reminded as she and Kali were helping him fix up his outfit for the public.

"Do I have to wear a tie, though?" Ghira groaned.

"They're neck traps is what they are!" Sun raised his hands in agreement. Guess the monkey Faunus still hasn't forgotten he had to wear a tie during the school dance. "At least someone here thinks the same!"

"For once, I agree with you, Sun." Ghira said, before removing the tie with a breath of relief and place on his usual coat instead.

Given the paper in hand, Ghira began paced back and forth while we waited for him. He was rereading his lines and rehearsing himself within his thoughts to make sure this was impactful enough to get the rest of Menagerie on his side. The man stopped pacing and took one last look at the speech he has written down in paper, before letting out a sigh as his wife placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

"Are you ready?" His wife asked.

"Yes. It won't be easy for the people to hear, but the truth often isn't. I know they'll do the right thing."

"You got this, Mr. Belladonna." I encouraged as the others agreed.

Ghira opened the doors as we followed behind him to greet the crowd gathering outside. Some people in the crowd were wearing press badges and holding scrolls up to record the event. Others in attendance included Corsac and Fennec Albain, who bowed their heads, as well as the Menagerie Guards. Ghira stepped up to the podium and raised his hand to quiet the crowd.

"Thank you all for assembling here. I wanted to take time to address some of the rumors that have been circulating around our island. I believe that it is important for the people of this territory to understand the truth. No matter how you feel about the human race, I think we can all agree that the event now known as the Fall of Beacon was a tragedy. A tragedy that will set both man and Faunus-kind back. While the main aggressor is still unknown, we do have official confirmation that Adam Taurus…" The chieftain shot a quick glare at the Faunus brothers in the crowd. "... the leader of a powerful splinter group working inside the White Fang, was partially responsible for these attacks. His actions not only tarnished the reputation of an organization originally created to bring peace and equality to all, but to our entire race. With each day that this man remains unpunished, it becomes increasingly difficult to condemn those that look down upon us."

The crowd murmured among themselves. Ghira raised his hand again to quiet the crowd down. Seems the speech was beginning to raise attention now. This was good progress.

"Recently, a spy from the same splinter group set their sights on this very home. My own daughter, Blake, and her friends did their very best to apprehend this individual. While they were unsuccessful after being physically assaulted and seriously injured, they were successful in obtaining the assailant's Scroll." We watched Ghira take out the Scroll from inside his coat to present to the crowd. "With this, we have been able to ascertain that Adam Taurus has plans to overthrow the current leader of the White Fang, Sienna Khan, and take over the reins himself."

At this, the crowd started to loudly murmur in concern. This was starting to get their attention.

"His radical plans do not stop there, the documents on this scroll proclaim his next target to be Haven Academy and its attached CCT Tower. Their plan is to strike on the last full moon before the beginning of the Fall semester, roughly two months from today. I have sent my swiftest messenger to the government of Mistral, but I believe we have a greater responsibility. My relationship with the White Fang has been... an interesting one. Years ago, I led the organization to help try and create a world where I, and every Faunus who wished, could walk alongside the human race. And while I believe we made great strides toward this goal, it was made clear to me that the people both in and out of the White Fang wanted faster results. So I stepped down, and Sienna Khan was appointed as my successor. It's true that I do not fully condone many of her methods. What I do condone is what Sienna fights for: the idea that the Faunus and humans are, and should be, equal. Adam Taurus does not seem to have that goal in mind. What he has done benefits no one but himself. I think it's time that the Faunus showed the world that we are equals! Time that we snuff out this splinter group, and restore the White Fang to what it once was!" The crowd begins to cheer at this remark. "To do this, I think the answer is clear, we must go to Haven and protect it at all costs!"

At this, the crowd suddenly stopped cheering, displaying some hesitation. I grimaced at their reactions. Blake's dad took notice of this and cleared his throat.

"Before we proceed any further, I'd like to invite my daughter to come and share her story. Not only as a former member of the White Fang but also as a survivor of the Fall of Beacon."

Blake stepped up to the podium and faced her father.

"You can do this." Ghira encouraged his daughter.

Suddenly, we heard a familiar voice yelled out from the crowd before Blake had the chance to speak.

"TRAITORS!"

It was Ilia.

"Cowards… after everything the humans have done to us, everything they've put us through, you're asking us to help people like them?" She pointed at me, Pyrrha, and Gamel (who was scratching his head).

"I know we haven't been treated fairly-"

"Where was the help when the Dust Companies treated our people like slaves! Where was their help when the Kingdoms hunted Faunus just for being who they are?! WHERE?!" Ilia demanded.

I briefly noticed Ankh's Greeed claw curl slightly, his eyebrows furrowed while a glare was beginning to form. Something set him off.

Just as Ilia ranted, Ankh's talons flicked in flames in annoyance. He was literally on the verge of releasing a fireball at her much to my panic. Thankfully, however, the guardsmen were about to stop the Chameleon Faunus.

The girl took heed of their approach and immediately ran.

"After her!" One of the guardsmen shouted but we knew Ilia would escape without trouble.

For a moment, I saw the White Fang Emissaries having grins of satisfaction for Ilia's interference. That alone was clear of the reason.

So much for a motivational speech.

After the supposed village announcement now ruined after Ilia's interference, we returned inside the residence. Some of us didn't like what happened, including me.

"I'm really starting to hate those guys." I admitted. "Why are they following Adam's ideals?"

"They believe the continuance of the violence is the answer to earn equality."

"And they didn't care about the damage they caused to their own side." I frowned at that. "They're just blaming their suffering on the ones that don't deserve it."

Ghira sighed in agreement. "I can understand how you feel regarding our situation." He was reminded of my origins and the human history regarding discrimination.

We jumped to the harsh sound of something being broken and noticed Ankh's Greeed arm plunged into the wall.

"What are you so worked up about, Ankh?" Sun asked.

"My problem? The conflict here on this island." Ankh glared, pulling his limb out of the hole he made much to Ghira's chagrin. "We had to deal with the revelation of a Grimm Greeed then having to deal with a bunch of cultists who believe violence is the answer to end the oppression."

"It isn't that simple, Ankh." said Ghira.

"Yeah? Tell that to my era. This plan will end up being screwed over and over due to that lizard girl and the hesitation these people have." Ankh accused. "I have seen cases like this. It doesn't end well for both sides in the end."

He moved himself away from the wall and left the house but I stopped him. "Where are you going?"

"To clear my head from this nonsense. This is already a headache for me." And just like that, he left the household with a harsh slam of the door. After a few seconds, the said piece slowly fell onto the floor with a thud no thanks to him.

"Well… that's one other door with a problem." Sun quipped, only to earn a glare from Ghira.

Ankh was perched on a tree, watching the locals below walking about. He could only look back at the past, remembering the conflict amongst the people. The people of the Lost Kingdom turned against each other, tearing themselves apart. No matter how much time passed, things were still the same as ever.

Reaching in his pocket, he grabbed the Batta Candroid and made a call. He waited for a minute until the screen projected a familiar blind girl, Sara Amethyst. However, with the year and half that passed, her shoulder-length pink hair was now waist-length with a lock of it kept by a red feather.

"Sara."

"Hey Ankh!" Despite her blindness, she knew whenever he called her due to possessing a Batta Candroid he delivered to her in the past. Ruby, Yang, Weiss, and the rest of Team ENBA, were the only ones to possess a Candroid alongside Sara. "It's nice to hear from you again!"

"... yeah." The Bird Greeed murmured. It had been rare occasions to contact her to check on her wellbeing. As much as he hated to admit, he didn't want to repeat the same mistakes he made centuries ago. "Has… everything been alright in Vale?"

"Well, we're recovering thanks to the Kougami Foundation. Most of the damage is already repaired but there are still some Grimm here and there."

"I see…"

Despite her blindness, the pinkette was able to hear the growing irritation in his tone. "Everything okay?" Ankh looked at the holoscreen, noticing Sara's brows furrowed in concern.

"Just… some idiotic problems I have to deal with." The Bird Greeed replied bitterly. "Things have been troubling here."

"Want to talk about it?"

The red Greeed hesitated at first before he closed his eyes and took a deep breath to suppress his growing frustration. "... Sometimes I wonder if history tends to repeat itself with people too blind on not looking back on their mistakes to correct themselves." He admitted.

Sara's brows scrunched and replied, "Ankh, not everyone is perfect. We still have the littlest of flaws."

"But I need to be… Otherwise, these idiots are going to die." Ankh harrumphed. "They are not keen on looking back." His talons curled.

"Ankh…"

"I don't get why they would continue this nonsense when they're just going to get themselves killed."

"... maybe they're scared?" She saw his crimson eyes glance at her.

"Scared?"

"Yeah. Many are unsure who to trust. So many people and Faunus were given cruel lives and unsure who to trust, so they result to whatever they can because they're scared of being hurt again." Sara explained. "Perhaps that's why they're not looking back?"

The Bird Greeed was reminded of his charge's infliction when he was put into sleep. The young Huntsman was frightened of letting go of his family before but had to at some point. That was the feeling of fear he remembered. He was scared of letting go of his past.

Ankh's teeth gritted underneath his sealed lips, reminded of his own past. The loss and betrayal.

"But to me? What's more important is one thing, Ankh." Sara said as the Bird Greeed turned back to her, "It's to trust in others, even if you don't believe in them. You have to trust in them, otherwise nobody would've made it this far."

The red Greeed lowered his head, contemplating the pinkette's words.

"I guess… I should get going."

"Say, Ankh."

"Hm?" He noticed the girl wanted to say something but held it back.

"N-Nothing… but be careful, okay?"

Ankh mentally sighed. "Alright."

The call ended before the red Greeed brushed his hair with his hand, his breathing being irritable. Things have been… different to say the least for him. The senses he felt - the more he stayed in the body of a human, the more it became conflicting with his views of the world.

Does he hate it?

… He wasn't sure how he felt.

Within the chambers of the White Fang Emissaries, the brothers were satisfied with their progress and were recently informed of Adam's success.

"To think it would be this much trouble to sway these fools into helping with our cause." The first brother frowned, "If it was just the Belladonna's, we wouldn't have to worry too much."

"What of the human who injured Adam Taurus?" Fennec questioned his brother.

To discover the human responsible was in Kuo Kuana alarmed them. While Ilia had managed to injure him, he was still a problem that needs to be taken care of. But the problem involved his powers as OOO.

"Good day everyone."

The brothers stiffened to the familiar voice they knew. The entrance to the grand room was opened by the fellow members of the group but the person who entered was a human. Well, one they all knew given Adam (begrudgingly) introduced to their cause.

"Kazari." The two acknowledged the Feline Greed.

Each step he took was almost lazy but if many could see, his traits as a lion, tiger, and cheetah made him a predator stalking his prey.

"We were informed of your and Taurus' success."

"You all know me too well. Better to have the pride of one knocked down to allow the other to rule." After all, a lion's nature was to challenge for leadership. It was perfect he killed Sienna to allow Adam to rule.

The brothers however were still cautious of the Greeed's actions. Given what he and the others did in the past, they were somewhat invulnerable to normal weaponry. If they have less Core Medals, they can take normal weapons but can never die until their Medals are destroyed by its enemy.

"Though why you have a need to be here is beyond me. We know our mission and the results should we fail. We do not need your help." The older brother frowned at the Greeed.

"Tell that to Bull Boy who lost his arm by a human." The two held their tongues. "Last I recall from everything I've seen in the White Fang, Adam is by far the strongest one in your group. To have such a soldier crippled for nearly a year left quite an impact didn't it? Pride lost? Morale lowered?"

"Doesn't mean we can't outsmart that human. So far, the rest of the village isn't aware of our intentions or chooses to be ignorant. We can do this." The younger brother stated, annoyed by the monster's presence.

"Perhaps." Kazari leaned against a pillar, looking at his knuckles. "Yet I see no progress. Your little girl may have hurt him but did it really stop him?"

"... It didn't…"

"And hows progress of any opportunities, hm?" The brothers immediately fell silent, their Faunus ears lowered slightly. "I thought so. Unlike you, I have made some progress in Vale before I came here. If it wasn't for me, you would have lost a group in Vale."

"Then why don't you just go back to your playpen and leave this to us?" Fennec snarled.

"Brother."

"He has only-" The Faunus froze when blades touched his neck. He swallowed heavily to the Greeed's form. One claw against the throat while the other idly stares lazily.

"Mind repeating that, Fennec? Who has made progress and who has not?"

"N-Nevermind." He rather not provoke the Feline Greeed nor question him. Unlike Adam, Kazari held his anger very well and like a predator - waiting until they cornered its prey.

Kazari glanced at him before the blades receded. "Good. For that. I have a proposition for you both."

"What kind of proposition?" Corsac inquired.

"Perhaps I could give you power to stop OOO? " Kazari presented two Cell Medals. "Prove your justice to the humans that dare step foot in your land."

"Kazari-"

The Greeed interrupted the brothers by tossing the coins into their foreheads with a flick of the wrist.

"Don't worry, this will get fun for us." He grinned, seeing the yellow aura appear from their forms and bandages enveloped them to conceal their identities.

I watched as the hole Ankh made and the broken door was being fixed while Ghira sighed heavily.

"Sorry about what Ankh did." I apologized. "He can be… a stubborn bird at times."

"It's okay, I can understand his anger." Ghira nodded in response. "But I just wish he doesn't damage more of the house. Aside from Sun breaking the door to my study room."

"Well that should include the second time when the door fell after my recovery." I quipped.

"Heh, true." Ghira chuckled out.

Just when the door to the entrance was finally fixed, Ankh pushed it open. No longer he looked upset but calm and collected with his usual look of minor irritation. However the door… it fell backwards after he closed it.

"You really should get new doors." Ankh drawled.

"Don't push it."

"I think you boys deserve a break." Kali walked in with some drinks and snacks to give them for the hard work.

I reached for one but the Purple Cores within my Aura reacted upon detecting hostile Core Energy. My eyes gained the violet hue upon sensing it. Ankh must have detected it as well given he snapped his head towards the outside.

"Two Yummies. Another batch of medals for me." Ankh grinned.

"Medals!" Gamel rushed out from the back and was about to head out but Ankh stopped him with a hit to the head. "Gweh!"

"Don't even think about it Gamel."

I looked at Blake's parents who gave nods. "Guys! We gotta go!"

"On it!"

With us grabbing our gear, we immediately left the Belladonna residence to the location of the Core Energy. I texted Blake and the Sun about it, as they agreed to come with us, better to deal with these as a team than alone.

With the energy being felt, the Core Energy was close and we were on the right track due to several locals running away. No doubt from the Yummies we were locating. It was a struggle at first due to the crowded areas but we squeezed through before skidding to a halt upon two Yummies. Well if you could consider them Yummies due to the bandages wrapped around them completely like a mummy while I briefly noticed they held Faunus traits due to the tall ears.

Upon sensing the Core Energy, the essence was similar to the Feline Greeed's own, making me realize who made the two creatures. "Kazari made two Yummys…"

"That means-!" Blake realized in shock.

"Yeah, Kazari is somewhere here in Menagerie." My hand clenched. At first we all assumed the Grimm Greeed and his Yummies were the only things we had to worry about but now it was Kazari and his Yummies. "Pyrrha!"

"Right!" The both of us produced our belts and placed the respective coins into the buckles. "Henshin!"

TAKA!

TORA!

BATTA!

TA-TO-BA TATOBA TA-TO-BA!

Once I was in my OOO armor and Pyrrha in her Proto-Birth gear, we raised our fists to the two bandaged Yummies.

"Blake, you and Sun get the others out of here. We'll deal with the Yummies."

"Got it." The Cat Faunus understood before she and Sun evacuated the fellow Faunus away from the perimeter while Pyrrha and I handle the two monsters. The two Yummies slowly stalked towards us.

"Justice…"

"Will be delivered!"

"Pyrrha, let's split them up. I got the one on the left-"

"And I got one on the right. Got it." The redhead responded.

"Let's do this." The both of us went after our respective targets.

With my wrist blocking the first attack, I delivered a double fist to the gut. The first Yummy buckled before striking it across the chest with the right Tora claw. Sparks bleed off its bandaged hide and staggered from the blow

The fellow Yummy rushed towards Proto-Birth with its bare hands but the Huntress tossed her shield to it. It hopped over it but it didn't expect it to return to her as the shield hit the Yummy in the back of its head. The impact caused it to fall face first and skidding across the dirt. The kaijin pulled its face out of the dirt and shook it off its skin.

Hearing a yell of pain, the Yummy noticed its fellow kin falling on top of it, leading it to kiss the dirt again.

"All we have to do is separate them from their forms."

"Sounds easy enough for me," Proto-Birth agreed.

The two Yummies grunted in frustration to their interference when they were supposed to continue their tasks! They had to show the Faunus their place if they are to have their plans come to fruition!

Both of us noticed the yellow light seeping off the crevices of the bandages. That alone showed it wasn't a good sign.

"Uh oh."

Their wrappings shedded, revealing two Feline Yummies. Their bodies could mistake them as twins but their fur was white much like a snow tiger while the other was an average tiger.

These were the Tora Yummies, one based on the normal tiger while the other was based on the white bengal tiger.

"Guess that confirms Kazari definitely being here." Proto-Birth quipped.

"You think?" I grunted. "We have to hurry before the hosts are consumed by the Yummies!"

"Right!"

Changing positions of our fighting, we switched targets and met them in the middle. At first Pyrrha and I thought we still had the advantage but it seemed we bit off more than we could chew. Given the two Yummies took the motifs of a tiger, they had the strength and brute force of their claws to deliver considerable damage to our armor.

Brandishing the Upgraded Medajalibur, I changed the weapon to its hand cannon mode and fired several rounds. The two beasts buckled as cell medals spilled from each hit they earned. I knew it would only push them back so we had to focus on one Yummy before going after the other.

"Pyrrha, let's focus on the Tiger Yummy!"

Proto-Birth complied and changed her focus on the Yummy I was against. She plucked a Cell Medal from her person before placing it into the Proto-Birth Driver.

CRANE ARM!

WIth the Crane Arm active, Proto-Birth caught the Tiger Yummy within her grip, slamming the monster onto the ground. The resulting crater left some Cell Medals which the Crane magnetically took.

"Not enough...I can't get the host out of the Yummy…" She grimaced. "What should we do?"

"Keep going! I have an idea that can get them out!"

"How exactly?"

"On my mark, use your Semblance and throw me to one of them."

"... Eh?" Proto-Birth blinked under her helmet.

"Use me like a catapult! Don't worry about me!"

The armored redhead felt uncomfortable to the idea but then again, they all had their crazy plans. Especially from Jaune in the past.

"A-Alright!" She understood before blocking the Tiger Yummy's claw.

With the help of the Batta Legs, I leapt over the armored redhead and delivered a few good kicks onto its face to give us room. When the last kick landed, I exert more force to it in order to launch myself backwards.

"Now!"

Proto-Birth holstered her weapons and focused on her Semblance to throw me at the Yummy, mimicking the throw to a lance throw.

I held the Tora Claws close and spun quickly like a drill, slowly gaining speed due to Pyrrha's semblance. The Yummy staggered in horror until I pierced its torso and held the host, removing whoever it was inside from the kaijin.

The monster grunted, clutching the spill of Medals before its wound was restored. The redhead plucked a Medal from the ground and placed it inside the Proto-Birth Driver.

CELL BURST!

With her foot charged up, Pyrrha took the leap and delivered a powerful kick to the Yummy, causing it to explode into Cell Medals which she absorbed while the rest were saved for Ankh and Gamel.

"Did that do it?" She observed. "I didn't put more Cell Medals in to conserve my power."

"Stay sharp."

I looked at the host and gasped. It was one of the Emissaries. Given the wrappinga earlier, it shrouded his identity but now it revealed who it was.

"You...what are you doing here?!" I yelled.

"Now I get it. You tried to eliminate my charge in order for your plans against Haven to go without a hitch." Ankh realized, huffing in annoyance. "Since you can't eliminate him easily, you resorted to a Yummy's power aren't you? Typical."

"Damn you...you think this is over?"

"We just have to deal with the other Yummy so yeah. That sounds about right."

Fennec looked at the other Yummy and nodded to it. Understanding the message, the White Tora Yummy immediately ran.

"Where is that Yummy going?!"

"Looks like your presence is just a part of its main desire." Ankh huffed. "It spoke as being upholders of justice...and you're the villains."

"And...they seem to consider the people who supported you and Ghira...to be villains as well."

I felt the color of my skin drain under my armor. "Oh no." I quickly ran as fast as I could to the Yummy.

The Yummy sent a slash towards the citizens, injuring them. The locals ran in fear from the snow-colored monster that was preying on the defenseless. The Menagerie Guard had to intervene but their weapons were useless to cut through its hide.

"You must serve us...or die."

"To a monster like you...like hell…" He wheezed.

"Useless. There is only one justice for us Faunus, the ones who are abused by humanity." The Yummy scoffed. "Adam's views will bring us to an era where we will show those humans what's right."

The White Tora Yummy raised its claw at Saber but a ribbon wrapped around its wrist and pulled it away from the Faunus guard. It grunted when several bullets pierced its hide.

The Faunus responsible was Blake.

"The deserter."

"Why are you two attacking people, even accepting Kazari's offer?" Blake demanded. "That makes your supremacy ideas a moot point."

"Do you think that is what you have to say after leaving the White Fang? Leaving sister Ilia?"

"Yes. I left because people like Adam are making the White Fang go the wrong path." She retorted. "You just don't realize...that ideals...can make people do the most cruel of things. To justify all of their wrongdoings."

The claws on the Snow Tora Yummy grew. "Then you are just blind to the facts!" The Yummy pounced, forcing Blake to evade his attack. "Sacrifices are necessary to build a new world!"

The Cat Faunus jumped back slightly to avoid the claws. She unsheathed her Gambol Shroud to block the claws with both blades before she used a cartridge of Ice Dust to trap the Yummy's claws in place with the help of her Semblance. A plan once used against Torchwick in the past.

The snow-colored Tora growled angrily before the ice-entrapped fists began to move. He applied more force before breaking himself free. He bellowed in rage and dashed towards the traitor. While Blake was able to dodge the first attack, she wasn't able to dodge the second as the paws of the Yummy slammed against her back and into a crate of fruit.

Her Aura briefly flashed across her body as she grimaced. Her Scroll notified her of the remaining Aura she had left. While she was glad it protected her from wooden shrapnel, it was painful as the crushed fluids of the fruits ruined her outfit.

"You will be the perfect sacrifice…for our dreams to be idealized."

From the corner of his eye he noticed the fragments of ice lightly bounced on the dirt before they flew up like an uppercut to his chin. The Yummy-infused Faunus rubbed his jaw from the harsh hit.

The young Belladonna wasn't capable of controlling ice.

"Hey!"

Hearing the voice, the Yummy abruptly turned around and saw who was after him. "You?!"

"You?!" The Yummy recognized.

"Looks like I finally caught up to you." I brandished the Tora Claws.

"Why can't you just be stupid and not follow me?!" The Yummy hissed with annoyance.

"Tell that to the claws." I joked before making a dash to the Yummy.

When the White Bengal Tiger Yummy swung his claw at me, I used my own to stop the sharp blades. I felt the Faunus' knee slam into my stomach but my Aura shielded me.

"You are a troublesome human! Placing your feet onto this island and interfering with our plan!"

I gritted my teeth and stopped the other claw. "You judge me when I am not like that?!" I exclaimed. I felt offended to hear him assume I was like the humans who discriminated against Faunus. I was not like that in any way. I understood how they felt due to the history of discrimination in my world.

"The only thing you two are doing is causing more pain to your people!" I lurched my head back before slamming my helmet into the Yummy's head.

Moving the arm downward to the right, I jumped to slam my knee up to the Faunus' chin. The White Tora Yummy held his tongue as a few of his teeth loosened underneath the Yummy's hide.

"Ha!" I spun on my heel and kicked the Yummy back. "How do you like that!?"

Corsac snarled before he charged at me, jumping towards me and held his claws out.

"Oh crap." I croaked when I saw the White Tora Yummy pounce like a predator jumping for its prey. The kaijin collided against me, the both of us rolling across the dirt while I felt the claws scraping across my armor; each attack causing a miniature blast of sparks.

Coming to a stop, the Yummy was on top whole viciously striking my armor. I gritted my teeth and looked at the fragments of ice I used earlier. If I could use the ice… that's it!

With that idea set, I closed my eyes under the helmet to focus on my Semblance. I took hold of the frozen elements it held, making the fragments grow into larger shards as the Yummy continuously punched my armor. I had to hurry on the concentration. However, I then took a moment to imagine the shards' shape and allowed them to mold themselves into uniquely shaped pieces.

'Now.' I snapped my eyes opened and the ice quickly latched onto my arms and legs, hardening. I dug my fist into the Tora Yummy's cheek, shoving it away from me before I delivered a knee to its gut.

"Time for a double." Using the armor and my Semblance together, I put the Yummy on the defensive from the ice-cold punches and kicks.

When the Faunus within the Yummy went for another blow, I forced a wall of ice to erupt between us which surprised him. He hopped over but I embedded my ice-covered arm straight into its body. With my Semblance, the ice crawled into each Cell Medal it touched inside its body thanks to my detection of Core Energy. The ice only took hold of the Yummy, not the host inside which I aimed for.

"Gotcha!" I grinned and pulled the ice within, splitting the Yummy from its host.

Corsac groaned while the Yummy staggered from the loss of power upon its separation.

"And now to finish this!" I scanned the three Medals.

SCANNING CHARGE!

I leaped to the air as the three rings appeared. "HA!" I passed through all three and delivered the fatal kick. The Rider Kick caused the Yummy to explode in a rain of Cell Medals, leaving me as the victor of the fight.

I felt complete relief and fell on my rear. "That oughta take care of it…" I lifted my head to notice Corsac beginning to stand up from his brief recovery.

"Damn it...even that power we failed…" The Faunus Emissary grunted.

Blake brushed off the fruit on her clothes and looked at Corsec impassively. "You and your brother have to answer for what happened." She approached him but her Faunus ears twitched and quickly stepped back to the silver weapon that pierced the dirt in front of her.

Blake and I saw Ilia on the rooftop before she hopped down and stood between us as her grey eyes glanced at Blake then at me. Blake's grip on her weapon tightened upon seeing the fellow Faunus.

"Ilia, are you still going to support them after what they did?" I asked. "You heard what they said. They don't care how many lives would be lost just to fulfill their ideals."

The Chameleon Faunus closed her eyes before she used her weapon to shove dirt to us. We brought up our arms to shield our eyes but once we lowered them, the two Faunus were gone.

"They're gone…"

After the fight and the Brothers leaving no thanks to Ilia, we all returned to the residence with some of us having to patch up. I had some ice formed to press against Blake's side. She jumped to the cold sensation but relaxed to feel the pain of the bruise subside.

"The Brothers were the hosts this time?" Ghira asked.

"Yeah but those Yummies meant Kazari is here." Ankh looked at his Greeed arm. "Guess he is on a visit given his presence here in Menagerie."

Ghira grunted in discomfort to the revelation. "Why would this Kazari consort with them?"

"Like I said, we're Greeed and even we were used like slaves for him. You can call it sympathy but all Kazari sees is potential hosts for his Yummies. Tools for his own plans."

"So he's using them." The chieftain didn't like the sound of Ankh's explanation. Let alone now disliking Kazari.

"And from this situation, Kazari might use the White Fang to create a dissent and to find out where his Cores are. While we have most of his, others could be either buried or hidden" Ankh stated firmly.

"What do you suggest then?"

Ankh raised an eyebrow. "This is a first. You are asking me for advice?"

"You know him and how he acts and his schemes." Blake's dad explained sternly. "It is only reasonable to ask from someone who knows him better than anyone else."

The Bird Greeed's crimson eyes stared before he huffed. "Whatever. I'll explain as much as I can."

"How wonderful! You two are starting to get along!" Kali praised.

"To get along with this jerk/big brute?! Heck no!" The two pointed at each other. However the names made the two look at each other irritably and exclaimed, "What did you call me?!"

Blake sighed heavily. "And they're at it again."

"At least your dad doesn't hate me as much as Ankh." Sun quipped, munching on a banana.

"Still counts either way Sun." I deadpanned. We watched the bickering between the two adults.

Just another day in the Belladonna residence.

(NEXT TIME)

However, Ilia's heart was broken when she learned that Blake had abandoned them - abandoned her. And now she was working alongside a team of humans. She was even in a relationship with one.

"Mezool would be disappointed in you."

"Here's your hints: It saw Enrique as a threat. It wants to get rid of him to keep you for 'herself'. And then, the scent that Yummy gave came from a certain camouflage girl."
