Day four- Family/children
The girls weren't planned. They were part of a unfortunate circumstance that Sofia didn't like to talk about but Hugo didn't care.
With their real father having been executed for his crime long before they were born, the girls saw Hugo as their daddy.
They were infants but often squealed and giggled at the sound of his voice, making Sofia smile after a long day.
Half of the time Hugo found himself mixing up the girls since they were identical so a few weeks after they were born, Sofia embroidered the bassinets with an A and L respectively which not only helped him but herself and her family.
Her family was the reason why they could have alone time one night after giving the girls a bath and Hugo appreciated it.
"Everything okay?" Hugo asked as he lauded a blanket on the grass.
Sofia nodded softly. "I was just thinking."
"About what?"
"Children."
"You know what the doctor said. Not right away after having Anya and Lorelei," Hugo smiled.
Sofia smirked, nudging him. "I know that but when we're ready and no longer sixteen, seventeen."
"Sofia, what happened wasn't your fault."
"I was so naive to trust him."
"Stirling didn't care who he hurt and he paid for it with his life," Hugo reminded her. "You're weren't naive. What happened just happened and when you're ready, physically and emotionally, we'll have a child together."
"When we're married!" Sofia giggled. She sat beside him on the blanket and smiled. "Do you regret having to help me with the girls when you're not at school or in your kingdom?"
"Of course not. Anya and Lorelei are sweet babies but they're not as lovely as someone I know."
"And who would that lovely someone be?"
"You," Hugo smiled. "You're my lovely someone who loves the girls so much."
"Then you're my lovely someone too," Sofia smirked. She watched as her and Hugo's engagement rings glowed softy against the shining moonlight. "And you're always be that way with or without the girls."
