Day seven-Gift.
"Sofia I have a surprise for you."
Sofia looked up from the book she was reading, smiling softly at Hugo.
They had only been dating for a few months. After getting James' approval and beckoning him to lessen his protectiveness, they had made it official.
To her relief, people were accepting of them being together especially when she was a former lost princess.
That was five years ago that month as Sofia shook her head, not wanting the memories to interfere with Hugo's surprise.
"What is it?" Sofia grinned.
"Close your eyes," Hugo smiled.
Closing them, she heard a dangling sound before opening her eyes and gasped, looking at her wrist.
It was a butterfly charm bracelet.
"Hugo it's beautiful!" Sofia grinned.
"I knew you would like it," Hugo smirked. "I remember when we were kids how butterflies were one of your favorite animals."
"Were? They still are!"
Hugo's heart swelled as Sofia giggled, watching the butterfly move back and forth.
Despite everything she went through, the princess who he adored as his girlfriend, was stronger than anyone he ever met in his entire life.
Some days Sofia was introverted which he didn't mind but other days, especially today, she seemed more active as she tapped him on the shoulder.
"I hadn't ridden Minimus in awhile. Maybe we could race each other for old time's sake?" Sofia suggested.
"Fine by me," Hugo smiled.
Great! Oh and Hugo?"
"Yes?"
"Thank you for the bracelet," Sofia blushed. "It means a lot to me."
Hugo stroked her hair, squeezing her hand gently. "You're welcome." He chuckled, seeing her turn crimson. "And I mean every word."
