Greeed/Yummies
Cinder patiently tapped her foot on the wooden floor while watching Trash Yummies dispense one Cell Medal into the casket. The woman didn't expect Trash Yummies to be capable of residing within people, slowly building one mere Medal. However with the near two years that passed, Uva was practically swimming in medals.
Neo was wearing a new outfit with the bowler hat as the finishing touch, watching the daily coin gathering. With the casket filled, two of Uva's followers hefted it and presented it to the green Greeed.
"Hmph… the usual amount." He clicked his mandibles before he thrust his arm into the pile. Cinder watched the elevation slowly shrink, the medals being absorbed by the Insect. Given he doesn't have his last set of Cores, the Cell Medals were serving as a temporary substitute. She inwardly swallowed the fact that cell medals practically strengthened the Greeed. Even if they are missing some Core Medals, they can get stronger either way. Uva pulled his arm away and Cinder briefly saw the legs gain a lighter shade.
"At least this'll work for now." Uva noted.
"Mind telling me… them?" Cinder gestured to the individuals clothed in black and green.
"Supposed descendants of His Majesty's fanatics." Uva pushed himself up. "Showed up on my door and yapped about their awareness of history that happened nearly 802 years ago. Their bloodlines constantly tell the next generation of their families of HIS ambitions being glorious and us Greeed the greats. Che…" He spit at the mention of the Multi-King. It merely left a sour look at a mere mention of Solaris.
"So they're following you, hoping you would restore the Multi-King again?"
"Following any of us Greeed. I am the closest they got. Ankh and Gamel are with those brats, Mezool is gone. Kazari, knowing that conniving bastard is using his own pawns, just like that queen of yours."
Cinder glowered and immediately stood up at the insult he made of Salem. "Don't you dare insult her."
"Hit a mark did I? Give me a reason why I shouldn't. You claim she holds magic, yes? Can it destroy us when our lives are forever in the Cores?" Cinder opened her lips but bit her bottom lip. "Core Energy is far different. May not be magic but through alchemical arts, it led to the creation of the energy in which led to us Greeed being born. Nothing was able to permanently erase us… until that little OOO got those violet Cores."
"Seems even the Multi-King had a way to make sure to keep you puppets in line." Cinder smirked. She gagged when she suddenly felt his carapace-armored hand engulf her neck and pinned her to the wall.
"And who was it that suffered its wrath first?" Cinder struggled to breathe. "Who? Ah right, you." He flicked her hair again, revealing the mark. "You are suffering because of him. For that. For your humiliation."
"E-Even if… she can't… There's no way even You could do a thing to stop her from coming back. She is immortal…" She gagged out.
"And yet we are in a sense as well, Cinder. Remember, our Cores exist forever. Nothing can break em."
"T-True… but unlike her…. There is a way to beat you. Wonder how it'll be once she too learns this?"
"…. Neo." The girl hopped off the now empty box after flipping a medal into her pocket. "Hold her." He shoved her to his charge. She obliged and Cinder squirmed but the Trash Yummies held her as support.
"What do you think you're doing?!" Cinder hissed.
Uva sharpens the blades on his right forearm. "Let me tell you something, Cinder Fall. There's the other Greeed of my kind, and there's me. Kazari is manipulative and desires control like a lion to its pride. Gamel is childish who desires fun, Mezool is a woman who wanted to have her love acknowledged by his Majesty. Ankh, none of us know what he wants. As for me?" He grabbed her Grimm arm. "I admit I hold quite a temper." He sliced it off, causing the woman to scream.
Uva watched as the limb disintegrated into ashes but a new arm was replaced. "The witch desired something, yes? What would the Violet Cores do to her?"
Cinder's eyes dilated in realization. She remembered what Kazari told her in Beacon. The violet Cores were capable of erasing any form of desire. Salem's target towards humanity was fueled by her desire. A desire that would be erased.
"Now that got your attention didn't it? She may be immortal but there is always a way to stop an immortal." He raised his arm, signalling Neo to release Cinder who held her recently regenerated Grimm arm. "And remember who is helping you get to Atlas. Either listen or I can leave you here, dead as you are still a nuisance to getting my Cores back."
"F-Fine…" Cinder panted out, the pain of the arm being sliced and regenerated tolled on her. For now she would listen… But if she ever finds a way to erase this bug herself? She will take it.
Remnants of Desires: After the Fall
Chapter 22: Grimm Reaper, Gauntlet, Argus
After Maria concluded her story, we all held our reactions. I couldn't believe the fact that she had Silver Eyes but lost them when a Faunus cut her eyes, blinding her. Or the fact, from her story, she was a total badass.
"So you were the Grimm Reaper?" Qrow realized in disbelief.
"Yes, I am."
"Uh, who's the Grimm Reaper?" I asked in both confusion and curiosity. I never heard of someone dubbed that. The only term with the pronunciation I was familiar with was Death itself.
"Oh right, you never knew." Qrow noted, "Well, she was the inspiration I had to make my weapon and Ruby's. She was basically a one Huntsman army. Always taking out Grimm and other enemies like a gust of wind. But I never thought she held silver eyes..."
"Well, those who had them were basically kept secret. Somehow, Salem fears us for some reason. Thus she did her best to hunt us down." Maria informed with a sigh. "Sadly I'm nothing but a disappointment."
"How can you say that?" Blake rebuked.
"Child, a Huntress is supposed to protect others to the bitter end. But after I lost my eyes, I only ever looked after myself. Even after my surgery, I was too afraid to fight. Afraid someone would find me again, finish what others started." The elderly woman stated. "You shouldn't aspire to be like me, especially when some of you are clearly stronger already." Upon hearing this, Yang looked down. "And yet, it's… comforting, seeing that your generation seems to have the task of inheriting this world. I'm just sorry I didn't do more to leave it in better shape."
"Well, maybe you can do something now! Teach me to use my powers the way you did." Ruby requested.
The elderly woman paused and looked at Ruby.
My body stiffened and gasped to the sudden surge of Core Energy and Ankh's attention darted forward.
"Yang, stop the bike!" I shouted, my eyes gaining its purple hue.
"Wait, what's wrong, Enrique?" Yang questioned.
"That!" I pointed ahead, a cyclone heading towards us.
"Shit!" The blonde shifted the gears and swerved to the right but the motorcycle was now stuck in the snow until we could get it out. However, with the sudden attack, we have to stop the assailant responsible.
Team RWBY, Qrow, and myself hop off the truck bed while Ankh stayed with Maria and Oscar. Ahead of the road, we see a familiar man with a toothy yet unsettling grin, the cap over his head.
"Kazari…" I recognized the human-disguised Greeed.
"Surprise~." Kazari sang. "Wasn't easy but when I noticed you weren't with the others, I had to follow the tracks. That being a derailed train and footprints." He looked at his knuckles. "Guess my tracking hasn't failed me yet."
"You just have to be here now, don't you?" Ankh glared at the feline Greeed.
"Oh? Is there a chip on your shoulder?" Ankh's brows furrowed angrily at the remark. "You seem more grouchy than before."
"Piss off."
The yellow Greeed hummed. "Oh well." He shrugged before his body shifted into his Greeed form.
"KAZARI!" Yang roared, the Feline Greeed seeing the enraged bombshell.
"Oh, if it isn't blondie. Haven't seen you in a long time." The Greeed snorted in amusement. "How's the new limb?"
Yang's real arm trembled at the memory.
"Not so proud anymore? Life's a bitch, isn't it?" He taunted. "Too bad Bull Boy is still reeling from being a coward thanks to you, OOO."
"So you were a part of that too?" Blake said with disgust.
"Guilty as charged." The blades on his knuckles extended. "I'll be taking my Medals now."
I pulled out the OOO driver and put it on, inserted the metals inside, then scanned it.

Afterwards we brandished our weapons in caution. Well shit. Kazari slowly moved in a left curved direction, forcing us to slowly move clockwise.
Kazari suddenly bolted to us at an alarming speed, startling us. Qrow quickly got between all of us and blocked it, pushing the Huntsman back as his feet skidded across the snow.
The yellow Greeed raised his other arm and went for a thrust but Qrow quickly shifted into a bird to avoid death's door and panted after returning to his human form.
"Uncle Qrow, look out!" Ruby used her Semblance to stop Kazari but she barely managed to stop his sharp punch. One of the blades pierced the flat end of her Crescent Rose, nearly touching her nose. He tossed Ruby's weapon aside and slammed his foot into her, knocking her to Qrow.
"I have gotten much stronger than you guys realized." Kazari raised his hand and motioned us to attack him.
"So have we, you lousy puppet!" Yang glared, rushing at him as she threw her fists to hit the feline monster. Kazari blocked her fists with his forearms before he 'vanished' and appeared behind her. Her lilac eyes widened but a black ribbon and ice on his feet stopped him from striking the blonde.
The kaijin saw me and Blake being responsible. "Weiss, now!" I ordered.
"Right!" Weiss focused on her Semblance, spinning the revolver on her weapon before stabbing the ground. Kazari raised his head to the summon of the Armor Gigas. It raised its sword and brought it down.
"Tch!" He cut the ribbon on his arm before he raised both claws to stop the summon's sword. The impact was halted much to our disbelief before he gripped the blade and tugged it before blasting a hole into its chest. With a grunt, he threw the vanishing blade towards us. We rolled aside but we were horrified when it was heading towards Oscar and Maria.
"Oscar! Ms. Calavera!" Ruby cried out.
Oscar stepped back slightly but Ankh slid forward, allowing his right spectral wing to appear. His crimson eyes gleamed and his Greeed arm encased in fire before he smashed it against the sword, destroying it. Ankh panted and fell on one knee due to the consumption of the Core energy in his arm.
"Ankh!" Oscar helped the blonde Greeed up.
"I don't need… your help." He gritted in response, shoving his arm aside.
"Hraaah!" Kazaro saw me with my two swords while Blake joined. He stopped the two swords but Blake slid across the snow, grabbing onto the monster's ankle as momentum to pull herself up to his shoulders and wrapped the ribbon around one arm to his neck. She tugged with all her might, causing Kazari's arm to be restrained against his torso.
"Enough of this!" Kazari's arms were shrouded with water before it became a cyclone of water to the ground, forcing Blake and I off of him. "I will take my Medals back one way or another!"
"How about this you son of a bitch!" Kazari looked up to see Yang launched from a black glyph and it slammed against Kazari's torso. She caused her left Ember Celica to use its clip against the armor, blasting him onto the ground until the clip made a click. The feline grabbed Yang by the throat in anger for the damage.
"The first time on the bridge was not nice. But right now?" He extended his blades. "Twice is its own reward, for me."
"L-Leave her alone!" Kazari felt a rock tap his head like it was a mere pebble.
The Greeed hauntingly looked at Oscar who jumped. "Oh? Trying to be a hero like Jauney boy tried to do?" He released Yang and harshly kicked her to us, making Weiss worriedly help her. He turned around to look at Oscar.
"I'll admit. You're a new kid… wonder how your screams will be compared to blondie here when her arm was cut off?" Kazari snickered as he slowly approached the young boy. "What is it in you that you desire?"
"I-I-I-" Oscar swallowed in fear.
"Then again, I'll just have to find out." He raised his arm.
"Oscar!"
A loud crack drew our attention, forcing us to look down as did the Feline Greeed. The crack grew before spreading and all of us held our positions but the ground collapsed and we all fell into it.
"Ugh…" I groaned, moving myself up and grasping my head, looking at myself, I noticed I was out of my armor. Looking at my surroundings, I saw the others who groaned. "Guys!"
"I'm okay…" Ruby groaned out as she was upside down, wiggling to get free from the snow that she was covered in. "um… help?"
I sighed before I made the snow move up and then in turn, made the red-hooded girl stand on her feet. She stumbled before shaking her head. "Better?"
"Yup!"
"A-Any help up here?"
Ruby looked up to notice Oscar clinging onto an icicle. It made me chuckle inwardly. Like a cat on a branch. I placed my hand on the icy wall and caused platforms to manifest via ice. When one appeared below Oscar, he quickly got onto and frantically rushed down and landed on his feet. "T-That was scary."
"Everyone else alright?" Ruby asked.
"Yeah, with all things considered…" Qrow checked his flask but saw it was filled with snow instead of his liquor.
"Do you really have to have that out now?" Blake questioned, brushing the snow off her hair.
"What else?"
"In all, we survived thankfully." Maria adjusted her prosthetics. "Was that creature the Feline one?"
"Yeah… but it doesn't make sense." I pondered. "Kazari got stronger somehow but how?"
"We'll find out another time. We are in a pickle." Weiss pointed upward. We all looked up and saw how far we fell. However the worst part was we were extremely far down than we realized.
"Well, shit." I cursed.
"My bike is up there!" Yang whined.
"Forget your bike! In case you haven't noticed, we are down here!" Ankh barked. "Your blast must have caused this!"
"Oh you don't know how long I worked on that!"
"Okay, let's just calm down!" Weiss shouted. "We just have to find a way back to the surface."
We looked around us. Aside from the debris, there was a cavern. "Let's just hope there aren't any Creepers…" I sighed. "We don't want any more surprises."
"You can say that again." Qrow holstered his weapon. "We better move or that big cat will come back for another round."
Coming to agreement, we followed Qrow in the cavern while some of us were still reeling from the fight. I glanced at Yang who held her arm uncomfortably. "Yang?" She jumped slightly, causing me to retract my hand.
"S-Sorry… I…"
"Hey it's okay. Just breathe." I assured her.
"Just…. Didn't know he of all people would be here…." Yang grimaced.
"Neither did any of us." Blake murmured.
"Was Kazari… that bad?" Oscar asked nervously.
"He's one of the main reasons Beacon fell." Qrow informed. "I heard from Akira that Kazari had been assisting Adam in leading the White Fang faction in Vale."
"Until he killed Sienna…" Blake grimaced, recalling what Ilia told her. To know Kazari killed her in cold blood for the sake of fueling Adam's desires to create a Yummy. While it worked, the Yummy was defeated thankfully. "My guess, he must have left the moment Adam was no longer needed now that the White Fang knew Adam ran."
"That's Kazari… a manipulator … Thinks everything he sees as his toys." Ankh spat out from the back. "Just like his animal motifs, waiting for the perfect moment to strike." He looked at his Greeed arm and curled his talons. "Arrogant little fucker…"
"Language." Weiss admonished.
"Nobody asked you, princess."
"Hey, be nice to them!" Yang glared at the bird.
"Tch." Ankh clicked his tongue. "The sooner I get my body back, the better I'll be when I leave."
"And where will you go?"
"Somewhere that I don't have to see or hear the stupid crap you humans deal with."
"And what about Sara?"
Oh shit. Yang just pressed the wrong button that once led to Sun being pinned harshly.
"What did you say?" The crimson Greeed glowered.
"You heard me. The way you're talking? Seems like you're willing to abandon and leave everyone, including her." Yang stated.
"Why you bitch-" Blake and I quickly got between the two.
"Guys stop, please." The Cat Faunus pleaded. "Let's not get into another fight."
"Tell that to her."
"At least I am not the one leaving everything behind!"
"Okay, enough, both of you!" Maria yelled. "Either you two quit your jabbering or I will do whatever I can with my cane to make you both quit your arguing!"
The two fiery tempers growled before breaking away, giving each other a break as well as the rest of us for now.
"Uh guys? You might want to see this." Ruby called us.
We all ran to her but slowed down upon seeing something that both Ankh and I recognized. Before us is a large temple, the ice preserving its condition in the caverns we fell into.
"Is that… a temple?" Weiss uttered in astonishment.
"Not just a temple…" Ankh said.
"That is one of the Lost Kingdom's own." I finished.
"How do you know that?" Qrow asked.
"My O-Calibur…" I presented the said sword. "There was a temple… back in Menagerie."
"You mean…" Blake realized.
"Menagerie was the first place the Multi-King conquered." Ankh stated. "If this is another temple, then it can lead to A: useful Medals, or B: another artifact that belonged to the King."
"So… we explore it?" Ruby asked.
"Seems so. Watch out for any traps."
"Why?"
I laughed nervously. "We… kinda." Ankh shoved my arm. "Okay, we had to deal with four golems who were protecting the sword. Wasn't easy."
"The King protects his treasures zealously," Ankh remarked. "Even after death."
All nine of us progressed up the steps and entered the large temple. Unlike the deteriorating interior of the temple in Menagerie, the interior of this was pristine due to the ice. Ruby and Weiss had to use their scrolls to light the area.
"Looks like most of it is intact."
"Given the ice and the near 802 years, it seems so…" the Bird Greeed noted.
"But underground?"
"800 years can change a lot of things." Ankh reminded us. "Even the terrain can change without you knowing." His footing stumbled, nearly making him trip. Annoyed, he looked down and noticed a skeleton. "And it seems some victims tried to progress."
We looked around and saw skeletons indeed, some wearing old armor of ancient times. "What… happened here?" Oscar asked.
Ankh kneeled down to one, plucking an arrow. "... a fight ensued… this one is wearing the Lost Kingdom's armor."
"Were they trying to protect the King's Relic?" I asked.
Looking at another corpse, we saw his red eyes study the surroundings. The area was deadly silent but it was eerie, the dripping of water echoed the temple. Searching through another corpse, his talons pick off another object but his eyes narrow.
"Ankh?"
He tossed an item, making me catch it. Opening my hand, there was a Cell Medal.
"A Cell Medal?"
"Half of these deaths were caused by a Pseudo-Yummy. Whatever Yummy it is..."
We suddenly heard rapid footsteps echo in the darkness.
"Our arrival activated the defense systems for this." Ankh grabs his sword. "We better get moving before Kazari or whatever Yummy here catches up with us."
"Just like usual." I took out my OOO Driver, ready for a fight.
We carefully traveled across the halls of the temple but the echoes were troubling us. Qrow looks back, his sword in hand. The footsteps were heard again, Yang looking in another direction. "This is creeping me out…"
"Y-You're telling me…" Oscar nodded, scared but held on.
The echoes were nearly louder as we looked right but heard silence. Focusing on my Cores, I sensed the Core Energy and it was… above?
Slowly, I raise my head and saw the Yummy. Unlike the other Yummies, this one was no doubt based on one of the BuraKaWani's Cores. It was cobra-like with a very long tail, its eyes flaring purple with its head and neck covered with a hood like a cobra. Its chest was similar to the belly of a serpent as it was latched onto the ceiling.
A Cobra Yummy.
"Move!" I shouted, forcing us to move and the Cobra Yummy landed on the ground. It hissed, the tongue flickering. Its arms held shrapnels of ice, even its tail due to its stay.
"Seems the alchemists made a Pseudo-Yummy based from the BuraKaWani Cores despite not having a Greeed." Ankh noted.
Fangs appeared over its jaws and it spits, forcing us to duck. The Yummy dodged the gunshots that were unleashed at it. It was proven to be agile as it was climbing the walls and into the small openings within the area. Like a damn snake.
"Guys! Watch the walls!" I shouted, all of us sticking close.
"Can you sense it?!"
"It's moving too fast! How am I supposed to?!" I look at Ankh. "What about you?"
"Right now we have to keep moving!"
Running, we had to be careful of the Yummy that was literally slithering in the walls. The place itself was feeling like a damn maze!
"Just which way?!" Blake asked with caution.
I was conflicted about the direction. No wonder the Yummy is here. The area fits its use of combat. My eyes flared and saw the Yummy as it spit its poison.
We dodged but Oscar tripped. He tried to move but to his horror, he could barely feel them, no, his entire body couldn't move. "Oscar!" Ruby called out.
"I-I can't move!" He couldn't move a muscle at all. The Yummy's venom must be serving as a paralysis agent. It explains much now. The Pseudo-Yummy was merely an attack dog for the Lost Kingdom knights during the fight.
The Yummy leaped at Oscar but Ruby used her Semblance to move the farm boy out of the line of fire. The two rolled across the ancient grounds before Blake fired a few rounds from Gambol Shroud. The Yummy used its iced tail to stop her attacks before leaping across the pillars like a snake slithering across land.
When it took a pounce, Weiss quickly used her Semblance to stop it before raising two fingers up, forcing it to kiss the ceiling instead.
"That was too close." Blake breathed.
"Ankh! I need BuraKaWani!" I shouted.
Presenting them, Ankh (in frustration) tossed them to me but the moment I caught them, the Yummy tackled me as we began to brawl across the grounds, the both of us preventing the other from hitting before we fell deeper into the halls of the temple.
"Enrique!"
I grimaced, stopping its poison from seeping, keeping its jaws closed. Focusing on my Semblance, I use ice to trap its jaws before slamming my head against it.
It stumbled, clawing its jaws and glared.
"How do you like that snakehead?" I grinned.
Snarling, it slams its tail against my chest, earning a harsh cough and breaking through the chamber walls. I rolled across the ground in pain. I grimaced and coughed, glancing at myself. My Aura was little. I was lucky the ice I used from my Semblance and my Aura protected me.
Grasping my head, I stood up, albeit with slight pain. When I raised my head, I noticed I was in a massive chamber. "What the…" There were images of OOO on the ceiling above, each one having the representation of TaJaDor. In a pattern, there were also images of a phoenix.
I was amazed before looking to the center of the room, it was just empty. Walking up the steps, there was a small pedestal that held an engraving. Using my hand, I made the ice on it recede, revealing the engraving.
It was shaped like the O-Driver.
Looking at my buckle, I then look at the pedestal. It can't be a coincidence. Placing the buckle onto it, I push it in a bit.
*CLICK!*
I noticed the chamber begins to rotate, making me wary of the outcome. The images on the ceiling rotated, moving downward to the walls. To my amazement, I watched everything shift and turn, seeing the images face something. The floor shifted, the center opening as an altar rose from the ground. I stood back a bit as everything was locked into place. Grabbing my buckle, I look at the object that was on the table.
My eyes slowly widen as I drew closer to the altar. Mounted on a stone table was a stone-crusted gauntlet that held a sharp 'talon' but its design, despite its stone prison, was unique. Lines run across the gauntlet, with a unique crest of the Multi-King on top of it.
This… was what the Yummy was protecting. One of the King's Relics. This must be the one Ankh once mentioned - The Phoenix Gauntlet. Just as I was about to reach it, a hand grabs me and hoists me up a bit.
"Miss me?" Kazari grinned.
"Enrique!" I saw my family but gasped, the Feline Greeed holding me in a chokehold. I felt his knuckles press against my temple.
"Ah, ah, ah! Can't step further." Kazari admonished. "You wouldn't want his blood to spill here would you?"
"Let him go, Kazari!" Blake demanded.
"Guys... don't-" I gasped for air when Kazari prevented me from speaking more.
"Oh? And why?" Kazari replied. "OOO here not only has something that belongs to me but his Cores have to be gone." His predatory eyes look at them. "All I need is my last four Cores."
"Last four…?" The team felt color drain in realization. Even I was horrified. Kazari found most of his Cores during the year that passed.
"So that's why you led the White Fang before the Haven incident!" Blake growled.
"It's sad really. A rare few merely returned alive each time but with each Core they brought back, it gives me the opportunity to take back what I need." He shrugged.
"So you're trying to take the four that I owned?" I asked with air.
"Yes but, I will make it fair. You give me my Cores and I let him go." I swallowed when I felt the blades touch my skin. "If not, I just take them by force."
"You bastard…" Yang growled.
"So? What is going to be?"
Qrow's eyes drifted up before he said, "Yeah I got one to say: Incoming!"
We both looked up, seeing the Yummy from earlier as it landed on Kazari, no doubt also seeing him as an intruder. I pry myself free and coughed.
"A Yummy against you."
Kazari punched the Cobra Yummy, forcing it off of him before using a torrent of water, sending it away. The attack caused it to explode into Cell Medals. The others got to the center as they helped me up.
"You okay?"
"Yeah…" I look at the pedestal. "The King's Relic!"
Kazari quickly looked at me running to it. "Not this time, OOO!" With both arms, he released a torrent of water and air.
"ENRIQUE!"
My eyes widen and quickly grab the gauntlet.
Suddenly, the torrent froze as I noticed everything stopped. Just like before.
Well, well… you found my second relic. What is it that drives you? Is it to rule or is it to protect as you oh so proclaim?
My body clenched, my eyes winced, remembering Maria's words. "I…" I swallowed.
Power is everything. Power is what you use to 'protect'? Just admit it, you wish to rule, not be a protector.
I growled angrily. I didn't ask to be OOO in the first place but I used it to protect myself. Then, I used it to protect my friends and everyone I care about. They gave me a reason; a desire to protect them. Not as a ruler, but like my family, a Huntsman. My gaze hardened, my hand moving slightly.
"Ruling… is not what I want! What I want to do is to protect my family. It may be true that having power to protect them is my reason. So what? I use it for others! Not for me, not for my selfish needs!" I finally slam my right arm into the stone gauntlet. "I am not going to be a ruler! I will fight as a protector! As Kamen Rider OOO!"
Do you think you can ignore the drive for power? You will be a ruler like me, boy.
"I am nothing like you… I am myself!" Time resumed and I raised my arm on sudden instinct.
The blast collided with the gauntlet, my teeth gritting before a glow resonated with the stone. We begin to witness a large fiery yet solid shield protecting me. The rest of the gauntlet glowed and the stone broke, revealing a dark red metal gauntlet with glowing yellow lining, coursing to the shield.
"No… you awakened the Relic?!"
Looking at the gauntlet, a flicker of fire was visible before I closed my hand. Using my Semblance, I encased my left arm and plunged it into the ground. Pulling out the battle axe, I glare at Kazari.
"Kazari, you hurt my friends… I won't forgive you for the lives you hurt for your gain."
Kazari's claws grew before running towards me with his power. I used the Gauntlet to block his claws before a burst of flames ignited from the palm. Slamming my fist, the King's Gauntlet pushed the kaijin as Cell Medals spilled from his body. He weaved from my Medagaburyu, preventing it from damaging his Cores.
"He is using its power…"
"Ankh?" Weiss asked.
"The King's Gauntlet served alongside the use of O-Calibur. A sword and shield. Or in this case, the shield able to defend the current OOO and unleash blasts of fire. It was created as an attempt to match my power."
I ducked from Kazari's claws before noticing a hidden mechanism. With a flick, I saw three empty slots. A coincidence? Grabbing the three Cores of the Legendary Combo, an idea came to mind. Quickly, I placed them in as the yellow lines became an orange color.
Seeing Kazari, I aimed my palm and held the O-Scanner. "Bottoms up, Kazari."
I swipe it across the gauntlet.
BURAKAWANI! SCANNING CHARGE!
With a push, a blaze of orange energy hit the Greeed, pushing him until he hit the wall, a blue glimmer flying off of him.
Qrow uses his Semblance to swiftly use his 'talons' and grabs them before landing beside Ruby, presenting one of the Blue Core Medals the Feline Greeed constantly used for his water torrents.
"We got one of the Medals that you stole."
Kazari slowly pried himself free, glaring at me. "This may be a loss but I know next time, when I get back my last four Cores, you will die. If not, then I am sure that abomination, Uva, or this 'Queen' I once heard about, takes care of it for me."
"Then I'll be ready for them including you."
Kazari leaps, using his claws to climb before blasting his way out and light beaming from the hole. With him retreating, it gave us relief. Looking at my right forearm, I stare at the red gauntlet as the Legendary Combo ejects onto my hand.
The King's Gauntlet. Used to unleash flames of a certain set while serving as a shield. The voice of the former Multi-King may assume I will be a ruler… it will not happen. Not a king.
"Another King's Relic found."
"Enrique?"
I glance at the others before I remove the gauntlet from my arm. "The only use for this is for emergencies." I decided.
While it protected me from Kazari, I rather use it in such serious situations than normal means like Grimm and Yummies.
"Good. Who knows when you find the last Relic." Maria agreed, using her cane to point at the hole above. "But now we have a way out."
Climbing out of the hole, we climbed our way back up thanks to my Semblance. Once I was out, I helped pull the others up. Each one of us being careful knowing we rather not cause another floor to collapse like earlier. Once we got Oscar out, we all took a moment to regain the fresh air around us.
"Thank god we got ourselves out…" I said.
"I second that." Yang raised her arm before she immediately ran to her motorcycle, looking it over to make sure nothing happened to it. "My bike is still okay as well!"
She really likes that bike.
"If that is all, let's get going." Ankh said irritably, hopping into the trailer bed. "We wasted a lot of time."
"Fine. Fine." Yang begins to shove the snow that was on it so that we can get going for our trip. Qrow observed the blue Core Medal. "So this is what they look like up close…"
"It's what it is. You did notice the armor has the same shape as these medals."
"Yeah but never the fact these things are what hold their soul if these coins can bring life."
"You saw those Yummies, that's how the Medals work."
"Guess there is more to it than what the Lost Kingdom held." He murmured, reminiscing about the true history of Remnant and the truth. He tossed me the Core Medal and waited for Yang to finish shoveling the snow.
Looking at the obtained Medal, I remembered what happened in the temple. The voice and its taunting warning.
"Enrique, you alright?" I glance, noticing my fiancée having a look of concern.
"Just… wanting to forget what I heard."
"Heard what?"
"Like with the sword… I heard his voice when I grabbed the Gauntlet. The original OOO's voice." I grimaced. "It taunted me, saying that in the end, I will only be a ruler with selfish needs…"
"Enrique, you won't be like that," Blake denied. "You've been protecting people all this time, you won't be like him."
"Do you...really believe THAT?" I hesitantly asked.
"Why won't I believe my own fiance after a year together?"
I blushed slightly hearing that. "I-I see…"
She gently plants a kiss on my cheek. "Come on, we should regroup with the others so we can continue the ride to Argus."
I nodded before following her as we hop onto the trailer bed. With the snow gone, Yang begins to drive. It was not even 5 minutes as we heard Ruby's Scroll ring. Ruby pulls her Scroll out and gasps in excitement.
"It's Jaune!"
Yang stopped her bike, looking back in surprise. We all held the same reactions. The Scrolls barely work and the fact he doesn't own a Candroid made it surprising.
"How?" The heiress asked in disbelief.
Ruby answers her Scroll, "Uh, hello?"
"Ruby! Oh, thank you! I've been checking my Scroll for your signal since we made it to the city!" Jaune's voice was heard from her mobile device.
"The city? Wait..." Ruby looks at her Scroll. She looks at the little signal symbol under Jaune's portrait, watching it get better as she points her Scroll toward the road ahead.
"You don't think...?" If there was a signal, then there was only one reason why there was a signal for the Scroll.
Yang proceeds forward to drive us up the hill. Once we were at the top of the hill, we saw a walled city in the distance along with the ocean. The view itself was amazing, straight out of a painting.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived in Argus." Yang announced.
Salem's red eyes stared at the dark recesses of the land of darkness she rules over. While she vented out her anger previously upon learning Ozma is still alive, it didn't change the fact he cheated death. Even her repeated attempts to control the abomination of a Grimm. The creak of a door reaches her ears, seeing her Seer float to her. Gently, she sees what her Seer saw. The moment she did, her eyes narrowed dangerously. She saw the boy holding a red gauntlet. A familiar gauntlet.
The King's Gauntlet.
"He found the King's second relic…" She frowned. "He is becoming a huge problem faster than I expected."
The last relic, the cloak, was the last item he needed to have all of the King's power to change the world. She won't let that happen. Tyrian failed the first attempt and now, it was becoming a dangerous variant. He must die before he retrieves the King's last Relic.
He will not change the world like the King once tried to do.
Arriving in Argus, we all felt relieved but also taking in the scenery of the place. We finally made it after a bunch of troubles.
"We're finally here…" Ruby said with relief.
"Finally!" Weiss raised her arms in relief.
"It has been a rough time." Blake noted.
Getting off the trailer bed, I took a glance at the wrapped gauntlet on the side of my coat. I unwrapped it slightly to reveal the crimson metal with the golden lines dimmed due to its inactive state. Taking a deep breath, I wrapped the cloth over it to hide its identity. I rather not let people like Kazari or those like Salem realize what it was.
"Let's just hope this doesn't have a beacon like the relic…" I muttered to myself.
I followed my friends after Yang's bike was put in a garage to keep it safe. Then, we took a moment to admire the town. The place was bustling with people as there was an ocean not too far from it. This place… reminded me of home. I could remember the faint smell of the ocean, the bustling crowd moving about. A base of the military not too far either. The entire place reminded me of it.
"I SMELL FAMILIAR MEDALS!" A voice bellowed happily.
Oh boy…
People quickly began to disperse to a man in gray who was literally charging forward like a rhino. Some crates didn't stop the guy but to some people's bewilderment before we saw the spiky gray hair and familiar human form a Greeed we know assumes.
"Who on earth is that man?" Maria asked in bewilderment.
"That would be Gamel." Weiss quickly moved aside as did the others.
"Ah crap…" I groaned.
"OOO! Ankh!" Gamel hugged us both, making me cough out all the air I had. "Yay! You're alive!"
"Good to see you Gamel…" I wheezed.
"Let go you idiot!" Ankh slams his fist on top of Gamel's head, the Beast Greeed in disguise on the floor with smoke on his head. Seriously, I swear I can see smoke coming off from the harsh impact.
"Did you find them, Gamel buddy?!" We saw Nora who happily jogged up to us with Jaune and Ren not too far behind.
"All here!" Gamel raised all of us in the air in glee.
"H-Hey! Put me down!" Weiss stammered.
"Good job! Now drop em!"
"Aye!" Sure enough, Gamel dropped all of us onto the ground.
Nora gave a thumbs up of approval before she blinked upon noticing the one person she wasn't familiar with. "Who's the old lady?"
"Someone who helped us out." I rubbed my head after sitting up. "But we are glad you guys are safe."
"You guys are going to love this place!"
"Yeah! Blonde knight's sister is really kind!" Gamel nodded eagerly.
"In more ways than one." A girl with dark green hair and amber eyes stated. All of us looked behind the four to notice her.
"Uh… who is she?" Yang asked them.
"You don't recognize her?" Jaune gawked. "Wow, guess it did work, Pyrrha."
"…. eh?" We blinked. "Did you call her-"
"Guys, it's me." The gold eyes and green hair briefly faded, revealing the crimson hair and emerald eyes.
"HUH?!"
"H-How did you do that?!" Ruby looked at her from all directions, and I swore she looked at her from above.
"I kinda dabbled more with my abilities as a homunculus." Pyrrha admitted sheepishly. "It was the only way to prevent anyone here from recognizing me but Jaune's sister knows."
"You'll enjoy this big place too! It's huge!" Gamel beamed.
"Gamel, don't run off again." The disguised redhead admonished.
"Aww…"
After the heartful reunion, we followed Team JNPR plus Gamel, observing the city via trolley
"It's allot bigger than I thought it be." Yang whistled.
"It's actually one of the largest non-capital cities in all of Remnant." Ren explained but Ruby gasped, "No way! But wait, wouldn't it be harder to settle something this big away from the main kingdom?"
"Well it was, until Mantle showed up." Jaune was next to explain. "Early settlement attempts by Mistral didn't go well. But colonists from Mantle were able to help them brave the cold climate and return for goods that Solitas couldn't provide."
"The two nations worked together to create a hybrid city. While it falls under Mistral domain, Atlas keeps a military presence here to help keep the people safe and keep trade between the two nations steady."
Nora's mood turned bitter. "Well, until recently…"
The trolley came to a stop, allowing all of us to exit it. "We should probably start looking for a ship." Blake suggested.
"Come to think of it, Gamel mentioned your sister, right Jaune? Is that where you've been staying?" I asked.
"Uh well…" The blonde swordsman chuckled nervously.
"There you are!" We noticed a woman who looked to be older than Jaune but they shared similarities such as the blonde hair and blue eyes.
"Is that her?" Yang realized.
"Y-Yup."
"This is your eldest sister?" I recalled Jaune mentioning he had seven sisters in the past. I'm honestly surprised he can deal with it given he was the only son in the family amongst the siblings.
"Yeah, her name's Saffron. She's the one who gave us shelter."
"Nice to meet you." Saffron greeted. "I heard from Jaune you brought one of his teammates back."
"That's...true in a sense." I spoke.
I figured Jaune didn't tell Saffron to who really did it knowing what Gara did to us in the past. Jaune must have made precautions knowing nobody else is aware Pyrrha is alive. If word comes out, I can guess massive shock is gonna happen.
"Still, to think that she came back alive. I once thought she was dead."
"You know about Pyrrha?"
"She is popular in Mistral. Everyone practically admired her."
"Oh right…" She was titled the Mistral Champion. "Well, the name's Enrique. The grouchy bird behind me is Ankh." I winced when he hit my back in annoyance. "I'm sure Jaune told you about us."
"Oh he has. He is always like that." She teased the fellow blonde. Jaune grumbled, looking away in embarrassment.
"Not all the time!" He denied.
Watching how Jaune is with Saffron, I held back a sense of amusement. It brought memories of how it was between me and my little sister. Sure I tease her at times with her being a bit stubborn, but she teased me more despite being the youngest sibling in the household. Like dad, she was very crafty in her ways, especially when it came to small pranks.
I chuckled at the memories. I sure miss those days.
Then I noticed the infant in her arms. Wearing a white and blue long sleeve shirt with overalls over it. His hair being black and his eyes being a brown color.
"And who is the little guy?" I smiled.
"Meet Adrian, my son." Saffron introduced her son to us. "Say hi to Jaune's other friends."
I waved to the infant in her arms. "Hey there." I smiled.
Adrian waved his little hand happily at me.
Seeing the young infant, it made me wonder about my future with Blake. A life with her once it's all over… having kids...
"Enrique? You okay?"
Their voices brought me out of my thoughts, looking at my friends for a moment. "O-Oh, I'm fine." I assured them and decided to change the subject. "So! Mind if you show us the way to your place?"
"Of course! If you guys could follow me."
We walked ahead but the girls (Team RWBY mainly) shot a glare at Ankh the moment the others including Pyrrha were ahead
"What?" He bluntly asked.
"Don't even think of swearing in front of that baby." Weiss warned.
Ankh rolled his eyes and walked past them to follow the guys and Saffron. But not while sending a message with one talon popping up from his hand.
"Oh he is so gonna get it." Yang seethed.
"Trust me, if you guys don't? Saffron will." Jaune pointed out.
"I can hear you!" Ankh called out. "Either follow us or we are leaving you behind!"
"Enrique is right… Ankh really can be a prick."
Upon entering the household, we were given a chance to relax as we relaxed while we decided to familiarize with Jaune's eldest sister. I took a glance at the photo on the shelf and saw a younger Jaune and his seven sisters. I held my mouth to suppress the laughter I had given. He had a sign that humorously said 'HELP' while the sisters looked to be doing various things in the photo. "This was you Jaune? You sure didn't like standing out."
"She just had to show them my kid pictures…" Jaune grimaced in defeat as he was slumping against his seat.
"So, Saffron, you're the only Arc living here?" Blake inquired.
"Yep! Moved the second I could. Jaune and I are the only two living away from home." Her tone turned into a teasing one. "I guess he just wanted to be like his big sis."
"I, uh…" Jaune groaned in dismay.
"Aw, you didn't deny it!"
I chuckled. "I can relate to dealing with a sibling. Well, don't know how Ruby and Yang deal with each other." I chuckled.
"Hey!" The two pouted. "Then tell us, how were you and your sister were?"
"Well," I tapped my chin. "She tended to go on a sugar rush and I had to be the one to stop her."
"And where have I seen that before?" Yang glanced at Ruby who scratched her cheek sheepishly.
"Then there are times I would end up victim to a prank she pulls with the help of my dad." I continued.
"I know how that feels." Ruby was next to send a look at Yang who chuckled.
"And then there were times I would be in the treehouse, only for her to kick me out so she can be queen of the castle as she oh so proclaims."
Ren slowly looked at Nora who whistled in innocence. The sister of the Multi-King was starting to sound like a mixture between Ruby and Nora, mostly Ruby.
"But it isn't as crazy as Jaune based on my assumption."
"Don't remind me." The blonde grumbled in embarrassment.
We heard the door open in which we peeked to see who it was. At first I thought it was Ankh but it was a dark-haired woman wearing a dark navy collar shirt with a light-blue cardigan, dark-gray jeans and red sneakers. She also wears red glasses and a wedding ring.
"Oh, everyone, this is my wife, Terra Cotta."
That explains the matching rings they wore.
"Hello!" Ruby greeted.
"Nice to meet ya." I was next before the others did the same.
The now named Terra chuckled. "Why hello there! Wow, quite a party, you weren't kidding. Hun, can I get some help please?"
Saffron quickly helped her wife in which Pyrrha decided to speak up.
"So? Did you notice Blake is wearing a ring now?" Pyrrha asked.
"Huh?" Blake and I froze when we heard confusion in their tone.
Uh oh. They must have noticed the ring now that we're here with no problems whatsoever.
"Wait, really?" Ruby asked. "Blake is wearing a ring?"
"And she didn't wear it back at Mistral." Pyrrha recalled. "Even on the train she didn't."
"U-Um…" Blake stuttered .
"And she is wearing it on her left ring finger."
The girls look at Blake who shrank back from the unwanted attention.
"Well...why do you wear it?"
Blake felt nervous from the stares her friends were giving. She thought they wouldn't notice it but it seems now they did.
"I-I...I got this from Enrique…" She finally admitted.
With those words, they all finally look at me.
Crap...
"Okay buster, what is up between the both of you?" Weiss crossed her arms.
"Er… well, funny story…"
"We're listening."
"Before we arrived at Argus station, I kinda talked to her parents for a bit, her dad scaring me with a warning during the talk and…" I chuckled nervously.
"And?"
"Blake and I… are engaged." I announced.
They blinked for a while until they exclaimed, "What?! You two are engaged?!"
"Yes." Blake admitted.
"Since when?!"
"I proposed to her when we were in that abandoned farmhouse…" I answered nervously.
"You picked quite the place to propose…"
"H-Hey, I didn't know what else to do alright?" I said defensively.
It often came to mind knowing of our relationship. Talking to Blake's parents, even the trials I went through during my stay in Menagerie brought up so much into mind about my future. One such was to ask Blake. In times like this and with what has been going on, I thought it was the right choice…
The possibility of dying was something that scared me.
"Hey don't worry, we're happy for you two. Don't forget to invite us to the wedding okay?"
We nodded, both of us glancing at each other for a moment with a thin smile.
Ankh was mulling over the shit he had to deal with recently. He was eating a sandwich the others made. Well, more like he snatched it from Jaune while walking away. He wasn't angry, he was pissed.
To know the world had a hidden history. A history that made Solaris attempt to mimic the lost art and rule as the one true god all because the Brothers left as punishment for humanity and to the bitch Salem.
So, it was his choice that once he has his real body, he will be leaving Argus and go wherever the place is quiet and filled with high places to perch on. He had enough problems.
He swallowed the last of the sandwich before popping open an ice cream cup and ate. Again, another treat he took from the brats. He heard the chair move in which he saw the old lady taking a seat from the outdoor table.
He ignored her presence as she began to read a journal. He paused and quickly looked to see it was the journal of the Multi-King he kept since the day Enrique found it from the bookstore. He checked his jacket before he hissed and snatched it from her hand. The old woman stole it when he wasn't noticing. "This doesn't belong to you lady."
"True, but I figured if you're going to be so close-hearted, I might as well see what the fuss is about." Maria noted, "Oh? Had a small spot for children with disabilities? That starts to make sense." She chuckled out.
"It is none of your business, lay off." He pocketed the ancient journal. "I had enough bullshit from this world."
"Being born to mimic an ambition the king seeked or was it due to the reality you had nothing to begin with."
Ankh's Greeed arm was close to her prosthetic eyes, nearly close to ripping them off and shoveling it down her gullet. He growled and sat back down.
"There is one thing I don't get about you old lady." Maria looked at him with a neutral look. "Why do you stick around since we've already reached Argus? I see there is more than you let on."
"Maybe there is, maybe there isn't. Who knows. But I'm mostly curious about you though." Maria stated.
"What do you mean by that?" Ankh asked in frustration. "I'm a Greeed, there's nothing else to it."
"Are you sure? Cause even with my prosthetic eyes, I can see there's more to it." Maria said. She placed both of her hands on the pommel of her cane. "The thing I see here today is not an avian beast who makes monsters. I see a doll who has lost his wings due to the mistakes he committed. Questioning his existence in this Brothers' forsaken world."
"Don't call me a doll." He hissed.
"You say you are a blank slate? I say you understand more to us people than your kin have." She continued. "I am no fool to recall a story my father told me. And let me tell you this here, my ancestor was once a resident of the Multi-King. You want to know why? Only a rare few who were from that forgotten kingdom knew one story - a blind girl and her guardian angel, a phoenix." She saw Ankh's form stiffen.
"The phoenix who had lost his watchful gaze on the child-"
"Shut up…"
"To have his soaring fire fall into despair-"
"Shut. Up."
"And locked away his pain, to let the grand phoenix's wings clipped and become a being full of sorrow. To be reminded he couldn't protect her."
She didn't react to Ankh shoving the table aside and yelled, "SHUT UP! LIKE HELL YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW HOW I AM! I AM SICK OF PEOPLE ASSUME I AM BUT A CREATURE AMENDING MISTAKES! A CREATURE TRYING TO BE HELPFUL! A-!"
"A creature who is experiencing what we humans feel."
Ankh's outburst was put to a halt. "…. Ha?"
"Your actions speak of someone more human than any can realize."
"Like hell am I like those flesh beings. I am a Greeed, we have been aiming to become whole since the day we were born! We lack what you people have! We're nothing but homunculus."
"Then let me ask you one thing… why are you being so… 'Emotional'?" Maira pointed out.
"W-What…?"
"The 'anger' you expressed on our journey here. The 'annoyance' and 'frustration'. Those emotions I saw were not false ones but genuine emotions."
She watched him raise his human arm alongside his Greeed arm, staring down at the limbs. "Day by day, you become more human and you don't want to lose that feeling." She continued. "Aside from you being a Greeed, taking control of the body you currently possess has made you more human than you realize. Real emotions, dreams, the simple things we people experience."
Using her cane, Maria poked Ankh's chest. "All of it being from you. What you experienced is what you longed for from within." She lowered it. "The only thing I see is a being regaining the humanity he longed to feel again. To let his wings fly free again."
Ankh's brows furrowed before he slowly lowered his arms. He recalled the things the others said to him during his stay in Beacon. Their words about him having something which was companions… friends… people who… trust him.
Maria fixed the table and adjusted the lenses of her eyes. "I hope that one day, you will see that even if you were born with nothing in this world. You were given something throughout your life. Before and after you were sealed." She walked back inside as Ankh slowly placed his claw onto his face, tears slowly leaving his eyes.
Pyrrha was walking across town with Gamel in tow. The homunculus was glad the others returned safely. Ever since they made it to Mistral in the past, she had to keep up a disguise for the time being until they arrived at Atlas. That being said, she never had the chance to admire the town so she began her exploration. Things didn't go well earlier given they tried to talk to Caroline and instead were given a harsh spat of words. In the meantime they had to think things over to find a way to Atlas. Hopefully they'll find one.
"Pyrrha! Looky, a giant statue!" Lifting her head, the disguised Rider saw what Gamel pointed at - A statue of her.
"They…. made a statue?" She got out, a bit surprised as she even saw the plaque. One that made her once again remind her of what she is. The 'greenette' approached the plaque and saw the engraving on it.
In honor of Pyrrha Nikos, one of many students who fought valiantly at the Fall of Beacon
"Big statue!" Gamel spread his arms.
"It's really beautiful isn't it?" Someone agreed. A voice Pyrrha knew. The disguised Huntress slowly turned around to see a woman who shared the same hair color and eyes. The only difference was the glasses and older appearance adding with the warm clothes she wore while carrying a bouquet of red lilies.
'M-Mom…' Pyrrha recognized.
"It is!" Gamel agreed happily. "My friend and I saw it!"
The woman approached the statue and delicately set the lilies on the pedestal.
"I… she was surrounded by amazing people, wasn't she?" Pyrrha asked.
"She was." The woman gently brushed away some of her tears. "I know people didn't want her to go to Beacon… but it was where she wanted to be. And I'm glad she met such people there."
"What… did you think?"
The older woman looked at the greenette then the lilies. "She understood she had a responsibility- to try. Knowing her, I don't think she would regret her choice, because a Huntress would understand that there really wasn't a choice to make. And a Huntress is what she always wanted to be."
The disguised redhead felt her lips quiver. "I'm sure… I'm sure that she accepted her responsibility. As a Huntress she wanted to be." Pyrrha consoled.
The mother smiled and wiped away the last of her tears. "You remind me of my daughter." The older redhead smiled.
"I… get that a lot." Pyrrha smiled softly.
"Thank you." She thanked her before leaving.
When Pyrrha's mother left, Gamel noticed her friend shedding tears.
"Hm? Did meanie woman hurt friend?" Gamel questioned with worry.
"No… no…" Pyrrha did her best to fight back the tears. "I'm just… just…" She began to cry in sorrow. It felt so painful to her soul but it felt like a portion of it was once again lifted from the pain.
"Does… friend want candy?" Gamel asked, as he truly was unable to understand this, only that he did want to help her feel better. But with not much to him, he could only give what he knew of.
He watched as her friend cried. But he remembered what Mezool did for him when he cried. He knelt down and patted her head. Pyrrha craned her head up.
"Mezool does this for me. It always made me better! I want my friend to be better too!" He stated "Um… no more crying? Be… better?"
Pyrrha sniffed but smiled despite her tears. "Okay… thank you, Gamel."
"I want to help friends! Friends…" He grasped his shirt. "Friends… fill the void! To be happy and better!"
"Gamel…" Was Gamel beginning to feel what he longed for? Did it mean it was making Gamel understand people the more he was with them?
"And I will fight meanies to protect them! Just like for Mezool!"
Pyrrha laughed softly and wiped away her tears. She won't ever forget this night. Not just for her to find some closure but to know Gamel will one day 'grow up' to understand more about people and their feelings and emotions.
