AN: B 8, and the prompt is:"I have moves you've never heard of." "Yeah, because you're basically a senior citizen." For once, I have this number on my card.
With a sullen look, Harry shuffled down the stairs to the kitchen. He had been hiding in his room for the past couple of days, not wanting to speak to anyone about the attack on Mr Weasley at the Ministry. To tell the truth, he didn't even want to think about it anymore. It was all so strange and incomprehensible. But to his misery, it was easier to bury himself in his room than to bury his thoughts.
He had only left his sanctuary briefly when the rumbling in his stomach had forced him to, careful not to run into anyone on his trip downstairs.
The creaking of the floorboards in the stairwell made him pause. To avoid whoever was behind him, he took two quick steps and slipped silently into the kitchen and - froze.
Sirius and Ginny were sitting on the corner bench at the kitchen table, obviously deep in a lively conversation.
"I also played Quidditch at Hogwarts back then, not just James," Sirius explained, gesturing wildly. "And I can tell you, I know moves you've never heard of."
"Yeah, because you're basically a senior citizen and the moves are much faster today," Ginny replied with a mischievous grin.
Harry couldn't help but chuckle, immediately drawing attention.
"Oh, welcome back to the living," Ginny called, throwing him a scrutinizing glance that quickly turned into a relieved smile. "We still have tea and biscuits, if you can stand our company," she said, pointing to the table.
Sighing, Harry shrugged. Obviously, escape was not an option here, so he surrendered to the inevitable. With a small smile, he shuffled over to the table and sat down on the bench next to Ginny, who had moved a little to make room for him.
Avoiding eye contact, Harry poured himself a cup of tea, completely missing the meaningful look Sirius threw him and Ginny...grinning all over his face, relieved that his godson had finally left his asylum.
