AN: G 58, and the prompt is: "You are the crown prince of collateral damage."
"I think I got it," Harry muttered, peering over to Ginny to see how far along she was with her homework.
"Let me see," Ginny replied, pulling her chair back a bit to get a better look.
"Just a moment," said Harry, skimming the description of the spell in his potions book one last time. Nodding, he got up and placed a miniature chest on the middle of the table. "Okay, let's just try it." His wand at ready, he took a deep breath and concentrated on the spell.
"Crescere!"
"It works," Ginny exclaimed enthusiastically as the chest slowly started to expand.
"Oh, oh," Harry exclaimed in alarm when the process didn't stop, and the chest grew bigger and bigger until it didn't fit on the table anymore.
"BANG!"
With a loud bang, the table collapsed under the weight of the chest.
The incident had already caught the attention of the other Gryffindors, some of whom couldn't keep from laughing aloud.
"Oh, Harry. You are the crown prince of collateral damage," Colin Creevey cried at the next table, writhing with laughter.
"And why only the crown prince?" Harry asked, unable to hide a grin despite his frustration.
"Because the kings are still alive," replied Colin grinning. "That's not enough to top the havoc Ginny's brothers left at their grand escape last year."
"What is a crown prince?" Ginny gave Harry a questioning look.
"Oh, that's something Muggle," Harry explained, shaking his head. "The crown prince becomes king when the king abdicates or dies."
"Oh," said Ginny. "Then don't tell the twins they're still called kings at Hogwarts. Their ego would become unbearable. Besides, can you please make this chest a bit smaller again? My parchment is still somewhere underneath."
