AN: O 73, and the prompt is: You've dared me to do this as a joke but there's no way I'm backing out now. (As so often, it's not my number...but I liked the idea.)

"Good morning Katie. How are you?" Ginny Weasley asked as she stepped through the locker room door.

"Fine, as always before a game of Quidditch," the girl answered with a broad grin. "Ready to beat the Claws?"

"Of course," Ginny replied with a chuckle. "It's good to know the team is motivated."

"I'm sure you will beat Chang for the snitch," Katie said. "Oh, and I'm really happy for you."

"What for?" Ginny raised an eyebrow in amazement.

"Because of Harry," Katie said, beaming at Ginny.

"What about Harry?" Ginny asked carefully.

"Come on. I've noticed before, but ever since I've been back from St Mungo's, it's so obvious. He can't take an eye off you. Go and kiss him and he's yours," Katie said, laughing.

"And why should I do that?" Ginny asked, eyeing her friend.

"Everyone in Gryffindor knows you like Harry. It's no secret. And it's pretty obvious that Harry likes you too. So just do something. You know that Harry is a little shy when it comes to girls. I'm sure it would be a good idea if you take the first step. You know, push him in the right direction."

"Oh, I don't know. Harry won't like it. Besides, it's not easy to meet him anywhere alone lately," Ginny replied cautiously.

"One more reason to be a little more active, Weasley. I didn't think you were such a coward."

"That has nothing to do with coward," Ginny defended herself. "It is more..."

"What?"

"Harry is too important to me to screw it up ..."

"You won't screw it up, believe me ... coward," Katie said, giving Ginny a challenging look. "Otherwise, I'll call you a little coward until the end of your days."

"Oh, you're so bad," Ginny replied, slightly annoyed.

"Come on. Don't chicken out now ..."

"Okay," Ginny replied, her competitiveness slowly winning over her judgement. With a mischievous grin, she said, "If we win and I catch the snitch right in front of Cho's nose, I'll kiss Harry. As soon as I see him. No matter who else is around."

"Brill," Katie cried. "What are we betting on?"

"No." Ginny shook her head. "No bet. I would never bet on Harry. I'll just do it."
