A/N: So I have a Wally West playlist that I listen to and I couldn't stop laughing at this idea that popped into my head when I heard the song "Where is the Love" by Black Eyed Peas. Y'all seen those TikToks where that song plays and there are words over the top saying that something happened? Well nobody can tell me that Wally wouldn't have a TikTok. He probably got it as a joke like I did and then it evolved way too quickly so that's what this is. It's currently 5:09 pm so let's finish this tonight!
Drabble #2
Bart blinked at the sight before him, trying to comprehend what was even happening. It was maybe five in the morning, the sun's bright rays casting Central City in a warm glow despite the brisk weather. Wally had said they should meet up at Central's main park at 5:30 to do a short patrol before school and work despite crime happening more often than not late at night. Bart had heard the redhead leave that morning, and so not even fifteen minutes later the brunette was up and ready to go.
Standing on the outskirts of the park and watching the Flash bounce side to side on the balls of his feet in front of his phone though? That wasn't anything that Bart had expected to see at... 5:13 am. "Uh... Flash?" Even though nobody was around, the duo were careful to use their hero names in public.
The twenty two year old yelped and frantically turned toward his son, white lenses of his cowl wide in shock. Bart quirked an eyebrow and motioned at the opened camera on Wally's phone recording them. "Whatcha doin there?" The bag of bagels he'd grabbed along the way were long forgotten now, his gloved hand absentmindedly holding them.
"O-oh, nothing!" He chuckled, shuffling more in front of the camera. "You're here early."
Bart rolled his hazel eyes as he walked closer, peering around his dad to look at his red and yellow phone. The fourteen year old outright wheezed, collapsing to his knees and clutching his stomach as he laughed. "You-you have TikTok?!"
Wally pouted. "Nightwing convinced me to download it almost a month ago as a joke, but it's actually really entertaining! Don't judge me! I know you have it too!"
Bart slowly got to his feet, grin still spread across his face. "Oh I know I have it, but I'm a kid. You're old."
"I'm only eight years older than you, Kid. Besides, I wanted to hop on this trend!" Bart looked over Wally's arm as the redhead showed the younger what he was trying to accomplish. The sound was Where is the Love? by Black Eyed Peas, people jumping side to side with the rhythm and a typically gruesome phrase across the screen that was somehow funny.
"So... what exactly were you gonna write?"
Wally smirked. "That one time I died and came back to life."
Bart openly gaped and Wally laughed. "Dude, that's so mode!"
"No it's not! It's funny," the speedster responded.
"Fine. If you're making that, then I'm gonna duet you and say that one time I saved the Flash's life!"
Wally nodded. "Works for me. Wanna do a TikTok together afterwards?"
It went as well as Wally had hoped. By the end of the morning, there were almost two million likes on Flash's page and a little over a million likes on Kid Flash's TikTok account. There were multiple diets and reactions, and the duo laughed heartily at the post Dick had made that said "when your best friend finally makes a TikTok". By the end of the day there were almost twelve million likes, and Bart high fives the redhead excitedly.
"Dad, you gotta come make TikToks with Tim and Gar and I sometime!"
Wally laughed, ruffling the boy's hair. "I have a feeling Artemis is gonna kill me when we get home. She hates TikTok."
"That's only because half of the people her age has an account and she still hasn't gotten one. That's her own fault." Wally rolled his eyes but easily munched on a churro, Bart sitting on the rooftop beside him.
At the end of the week, another TikTok was posted on the Flash's account. Fans watched with wide eyes as the red cowled hero appeared and waved. "Hello! I'm gonna pass the phone to the best protege in the world!"
Kid Flash suddenly held the phone, a battle going on in the background. "I'm gonna pass the phone to a confused child."
The video seemed to go haywire as it was thrown through the air, a large green eye staring at the camera. "Is this the Flash's phone? What is this?"
"Just pass it!"
"Oh, is this TikTok? Okay, I think I know what this is! Imma pass the phone to-gak!"
The phone's screen went dark for a moment before a new face appeared. It was Robin, though he seemed a bit occupied with the Joker. "I'm gonna pass the phone to the best detective on Earth- hey! Give that back!"
"Nope!" The Joker beamed at the phone, Harley Quinn throwing her giant hammer around mercilessly in the background. "I'm gonna pass the phone to my biggest crush!"
A grim face appeared on screen, dark cowl doing little to hide the snarl on the man's face. "Sugah, why didn't you pass it to me?"
"Because you're useless, Harley!" The two villains were tied up in the back, Batman's lenses narrowing at the phone.
"I'm giving this back to the owner."
The screen suddenly panned to a blonde woman clad in green, the Flash sitting next to her and happily eating a burger. The hero known as Artemis smirked as she stood up, slowly walking away. The Flash was too involved with his burger to notice. "I'm going to delete this."
"Wait, Arty no, don't-"
The fans of the red suited man were lucky enough that the fastest man alive had managed to snatch the device and post the TikTok before his girlfriend deleted it.
A/N: And there we go! I might do another Drabble here in a few minutes but this is all there is to it for now. It's currently 6:03 pm and I'm done!
Love,
