Chapter 7

A month has passed since Quinn and Puck learned that they're having a little girl. Today they're leaving on a weekend gateway to Puck's family's cabin in his hometown San Diego. Quinn's a bit nervous as she's scared his family will now have a negative opinion of her cause the last time she saw them, she told them that she's pregnant with Puck's child. She's also nervous cause this is the first time she'll have her baby bump on full display and she's still getting used to her baby bump growing rapidly.

"You ok?" Puck asked

"Yeah, just nervous." Quinn responded

"Babe, there's no need to be nervous. My family loves you." Puck said

"Their opinion of me has probably changed cause the last time they saw me, I told them I was pregnant with your child." Quinn said

"Trust me it hasn't. My mom has started texting me everyday for the past month and a half asking how you're doing cause she doesn't have your number." Puck said

"I'll give her my number if she wants it while we're there. Also it's gonna be kinda weird having my baby bump on full display cause I'm still tryna get used to how fast it's growing." Quinn said

"I understand. But baby, you have a good looking baby bump." Puck said

"Easy for you to say. The baby bump is your new best friend." Quinn said

"Well I love the baby and I love you. We're here now. Are you ready to go in?" Puck asked

"Yeah." Quinn said as she got her suitcase

When they go in, they're greeting with bear hugs from the family. Puck's mom Ruth Puckerman immediately asks Quinn to sit down to talk. Quinn fears it'll be bad but feels more confident and reassured when Puck whispers you got this in her ear and kisses her temple.

"So Noah's been telling me about how the pregnancy's going, but I wanna hear from you, I wanna know how you're doing." Ruth said

"To be honest, I've felt insecure lately especially when it comes to my baby bump as it's been growing rapidly and I'm trying really hard to get used to it. I know I probably sound horrible right now cause our daughters a big blessing." Quinn said

"You don't sound horrible Quinn. It's perfectly normal to feel the way you do. I felt that way when I was pregnant. I mean you're going through so much at a young age." Ruth said as Quinn's phone started ringing

"I'm sorry, let me take this. Hello" Quinn said

"Care to explain why my American Express card is maxed out?" Russel yelled into the phone

"No comment." Quinn said smugly

"If only you stayed with Biff, this wouldn't be an issue. I mean he's a perfect Christian guy. But no, you had to be with a guy who took advantage of your innocence." Russel said with pure venom

"Who does this guy think he is to be speaking to her like that?" Ruth asked as Puck walked back inside

"That's her dad." Puck said

"Listen here asshole." Ruth said as she takes the phone from Quinn.

"You have no business giving her shit over this. It's not like she murdered someone." Ruth yelled

"Who the hell are you?" Russel asked

"I'm Ruth Puckerman. Your granddaughters grandmother. Don't speak to Quinn like that." Ruth yelled

"I'll speak to her anyway I want. She fucked up by letting your son take advantage of her." Russel yelled

"Dad, Puck didn't take advantage of me. It was a consensual decision we both made." Quinn yelled and hung up the phone

"Mrs Puckerman, thanks for defending me on the phone." Quinn said

"Anytime Quinn. Anyways, are you the one who maxed out your dads credit card?" Ruth asked with a smile

"Yeah last month when we went baby shopping after we found out we're having a girl." Quinn said with a smile

The three of them shared a laugh at that. Overall, everyone ended up having a great weekend together.
