Warning: I am doing quite a bit of lore changing okay. I am also using a little bit of the text I had from one of my other stories for a flashback.

Ruby Rose (?):

She woke up in what seemed to be a hospital room and looked around. Where was she? Her head hurt a lot, but she got out of the bed to see she was in a patient's outfit. She remembered what happened to Pyrrha and broke down crying. Pyrrha was gone because she wasn't fast enough, she only stopped because she heard people screaming and alarms blared. She wiped away her tears and looked everywhere for Crescent Rose, but found none of her belongings. She tried to open the door, but it was locked, so she looked at the terminal next to it. She managed to remove the screen and dealt with the inside box and opened the door, and Yang said that staying cooped in your room all day long inventing and studying about this stuff wouldn't help her in life.

She ran down a hallway and found an open room with dead people in it. Horrified she walked inside to find a dead armored man with a pistol. She grabbed the weapon and took his belt with pouches because she had no pockets and left the room to continue on. She met a creature that was at least three feet taller than her with reptilian skin and four mandibles. It tried to attack her with its glowing sword, but she dodged it feeling the heat of the blade and shot it in its head killing it.

'I just killed someone,' she thought her eyes wide, 'I don't even know why they attacked me! I murdered them...' She shook her head to get rid of those thoughts telling herself it was just self-defense, sort of like that dust robbery.

(Flashback)

Ruby Rose (VALE, A FEW MONTHS AGO):

Ruby was hanging out by herself at a shop called Dust Till Dawn looking at magazines and of course, dust. Ruby went with Yang and Pyrrha, Ruby's best friend, to celebrate the two older girls getting into Beacon, but Ruby's older sister had to run an errand, whether that was true or not wasn't for her to know or find out. Eventually, Pyrrha was planning to buy food for them and left the younger girl to get the dust.

While enjoying her favorite music, Ruby already got the base dust they needed, but she wanted to choose between ice and gravity dust to test something with Crescent Rose when she was tapped on the shoulder.

"Yes?" she said as she took off her headphones.

"I said put your hands in the air!" a man in a black suit with a red tie demanded.

"Are you robbing me?" Ruby asked innocently.

"Yes!" he was obviously tired of her talking.

"Oh," she sighed, and then she kicked him across the room. Another man went in front of her and pointed a gun at her if only he knew who he was against. She thought about kicking him out the window and going outside but decided against it because windows are expensive to replace. So she decided to do the mature thing. Beating the life out of her foe, and maybe breaking a few ribs. She dashed out of the store and kicked one man onto the pavement, transforming her box into a scythe.

"Okay... Get her!" one man said, who seemed to be the leader. She beat up all of his men, and he mumbled something to himself and said to her, "Well Red, I think we can all say it's been an eventful evening, and as much as I'd love to stick around... I'm afraid this is where we part ways." He shot a bullet at her and she was forced to dodge it, when she looked for him he was already somehow high up on a latter going to the rooftops.

"Is it okay if I go after him?" she asked the shopkeeper who said yes.

She used her scythe to get up there quickly, but the criminal had to notice her.

"Persistent," the man said when he noticed her. He climbed onto the Bullhead and turned to face her. "End of the line, Red!" he yelled over the loud wind and threw a red dust crystal at her. Her immediate reaction was to kick it back at him and it flew right at his cane, and the thief was most likely trying to shoot the crystal he had thrown at her and send Ruby flying, but because his reaction time was slow, he shot the dust when it was right in front of him. This made the criminal fall out of the Bullhead, and onto the roof building. She ran right to him and crushed the man's chest so that he couldn't move, and the Bullhead was forced to retreat. A woman who was obviously a huntress came over and she was surprised at seeing a teenage girl, to say the least.

"I am in trouble, aren't I?" Ruby asked as she heard the criminal scream in pain.

(End of Flashback)

'Maybe that wasn't the best memory, but at least I got into Beacon," Ruby thought, 'Here I don't even know where I am.' She ran through the halls and found a window. To her surprise and horror, she was in space. 'How did I get here?!' she thought. Ruby ran through the hallways until she encountered another man in armor.

"Who are you?" the man asked in a strict tone.

"My name is Ruby Rose," she replied afraid, "Who are you?"

"Mind telling me how you got onto this station with a complex weapon?" the man said.

"I don't know where here is," Ruby was afraid, "I just want to go home."

He sighed, "The name's Sergeant Johnson," he stated, "Well follow me we need to get you some armor."

Sergeant Johnson (SPACE STATION ABOVE REACH):

He could tell the kid wasn't lying, she was scared. However, whenever they encountered an enemy she didn't run. She fought alongside him. Ruby had times where she was safer to just leave him for dead, but she stayed. He had to give it to her, she had spirit.

When they made it to the armory she put on some armor and a new outfit below it behind a wall replacing her hospital gown. He leads her to the area that had her weapon and she took it and the ammo in her pouches, other supplies, and a rose-shaped pin which she attached to her belt. She also kept the pistol she already had when they met. She put her original weapon she called Crescent Rose and placed it on her lower back. She decided to use her pistol instead which he was interested to know why, but decided now was not the time.

They fought through hordes of Covenant and he could tell that she was really good at it, but also Ruby seemed to feel a lot of remorse, too much to have been a possible insurrectionist. They met up with more marines and they encountered two SPARTANs. Johnson did not know if it was either a good thing or a bad thing that they needed to send two of the best they could get but marked it as a good thing.

He turned to see Ruby looking at the two SPARTANs in amazement, but she snapped out of it quickly. They fought waves of enemies.

Master Chief (SPACE STATION ORBITING REACH):

He didn't know why the girl named Rose didn't have a friendly tag and also looked so young, but that didn't matter. They were going to escape the station when Linda who was opening the outer bay doors just finished and they could get on a pelican out of there. He tried to warn her, but Linda was shot multiple times by blazing hot plasma bolts and he watched it from the pelican. It was as if the plasma went through him too when he watched it happen.

Rose ran to Linda and started dragging her to the pelican. He was surprised to see the small person could drag about half a ton, but he wasn't complaining the marines provided cover fire for her and when Linda was close enough to the pelican they all helped to lift her up. They closed the cockpit door and flew out into space. He switched places which Sergeant Johnson on who was flying and went to his teammate.

"Did you do it?" Linda asked him, "Did you get the database?"

"Yes. We got it," he said to his teammate.

"Good," she said, "We won." She clasped his hand and closed her eyes, and then she flat-lined.

"Yes," he said bitterly at her death, "We won." He made contact with Captain Keyes and boarded onto the Pillar of Autumn.

Ruby Rose (PILLAR OF AUTUMN):

They asked about her and she answered them honestly. She didn't know how she got there and that she wanted to go home. When asked about Crescent Rose, she said it was for the bad wildlife on the planet and she went overboard on designing it. They were surprised to know that she made it, but that didn't matter. When asked about the planet she came from she answered Remnant, but was visibly saddened when they said they never heard of it. However, that was likely to happen because the people of Remnant couldn't go to space. They didn't see anything wrong with her genes, but they were shocked about her having "superior genes" which Ruby shrugged off.

She walked around the ship after the check-up and bumped into the Master Chief. He looked on at the cryo tube at the other SPARTAN who was clinically gone.

She felt the female SPARTAN's aura, it was tough and patient she thought about all the science she knew about. The human body was just an organic machine, and just like a machine, it could be fixed. If they were so futuristic and if her calculations were correct the SPARTAN will survive. She hoped so at least. Ruby thought about it for a while, she remembered reading about flash cloning, biofoam, and so much other wonderful and interesting information in the ship's database. She knew what to do to help the lady, but doubted that she herself could perform it. Her brain was the only thing that she could use at the moment, and she may have been an almost friendless shut-in to her sister's dismay, she was at least a smart one according to Pyrrha...

Master Chief (PILLAR OF AUTUMN, CRYO BAY):

He noticed Rose look at Linda, and the girl was deep in thought. He was surprised to find out she wasn't military, but it made a lot of sense. She just stood there paying no notice to him which surprised him because most civilians knew who he was. She moved to leave walking a little but stopped. She turned looked him in the visor and gave a reassuring smile.

"She seems like the person who would fight almost any threat including death," Ruby said, "She will win, might need a little assistance, but it will be a victory. To that, she just walked away surprising him. She was too innocent to be in this war, but he also hoped that she was right, too.
