Gym with Mr. Karasuma was much different from the gym class Korosensei. Which Yuma supposed, is to be expected. While Korosensei just asked them to do whatever he could think of, including running at Mach 20 speed, Mr. Karasuma had a clear direction on where he wanted the class to head. Which was to say, he wanted them to be good enough to kill Korosensei before March.

"I liked your gym class, Korosensei." Yuma told his crying teacher as he went through the stances.

Beside him, Isogai cringed as he remembered the previous gym class. "That's because you're the only one crazy enough to follow his example."

"Where do you even get all that energy?" Fuwa muttered as she too remembered Yuma's attempts at side jumping and cat's cradle.

"I ate my veggies and drank my milk." Yuma replied, causing Sugaya to scoff.

"Doubtful on the milk part."

"Right," Their new coach, Mr. Karasuma, cleared his throat. " Back to work people."

He went on to lecture them about how important it was to get the basics down before demonstrating the lesson physically.

"Isogai, Maehara, and Yuma step up." Mr. Karasuma called out to the three boys. "I want you to try to tag me with those knives."

"Wait, like as a team?" Isogai, surprised at the command, asked.

Maehara, too, was concerned."Do you think that's a good idea ?"

"The blades are harmless. They weren't designed to injure human beings." Mr. Karasuma loosened his tie, preparing to face the boys. "Tell you what, manage to hit me and you can go home for the day."

"I'll take you up on that offer, sir!"

Without a second thought, Yuma rushed at the man. Mr. Karasuma didn't bat an eye and dodged the knife swing without any problem. Maehara and Isogai followed up with their own strikes, this time Karasuma merely grabbed their hands and pushed them away.

"As you can see," Karasuma blocked Yuma's second attempt from above, shoving the boy back. He went on to block Isogai's swing. " Even with limited know-how, I can practically dodge them in my sleep. Why? Because they've got no technique."

From behind the teacher, Yuma signaled to his classmate to charge at once. That plan, like their previous attempts, did not work. Even with both of his hands busy, each one holding on to Maehara's and Isogai's hands, Karasuma wasn't surprised when Yuma attacked him from behind. With great ease, he pulled Maehara forward, using the boy as a meat shield. " If you can't land a hit against me, you haven't got a prayer against a target who's top speed is Mach 20. "

Drawing the class' attention toward Korosensei at the sandpit, he continued his demonstration. " See, in the 30 seconds we've been sparring he changed clothes, brewed some tea, and built a model of Osaka castle."

If Yuma wasn't busy with helping Maehara stand up, he would have marveled at the sand construction. " You okay there dude?"

"Yeah," Maehara replied. " My ego is bruised but it's nothing I can't handle."

With that, Mr. Karasuma's gym class came to an end. While Maehara went off to join Isogai on the walk back to the main classroom, Yuma walked with Sugaya.

" I am not looking forward to that quiz ." Yuma groaned.

" Yeah, me too." Sugaya sighed. "I heard Korosensei is putting a focus on math this time around."

The boys shuddered, neither particularly liked the subject. As they got closer to the campus, Yuma paused to look at the figure standing on top of the stairs.

" I didn't know we're getting a new student."

" Red hair, golden eyes. That has to be Karma Akabane." Sugaya said, his voice squeaked at the end.

"You know him?" Yuma asked.

"More like know of him. Words around the school are he beat up one of his classmates so bad they decided to boot him here."

"He can't be that bad."

Sugaya physically turned Yuma's head toward Karma holding out a hand to shake for Korosensei only to squeeze a tentacle off using cut-out stripes of the anti-sensei knife stuck to his hand. The boy then proceeded to make their teacher jump a few feet back while making fun of the octopus for being a scaredy-cat.

"Still think he's not that bad?" Sugaya asked dryly.

" I mean, he did cut off a tentacle." Yuma pointed out.

Letting go of Yuma, Sugaya groaned. "You're hopeless."

On one hand, Yuma still held the opinion that Karma isn't as bad as Sugaya made him out to be. On the other hand, even he had to admit that he had never seen Korosensei this ….. Murderous. It was like the suicided bombing all again. Except for this time, Korosensei was more in control of his anger. But the murderous intent was still there, hidden somewhere in that yellow head.

And here was the thing, Yuma acknowledged that Korosensei truly did want to kill some of his classmates ate on the first few days they knew each other. (he did learn something after the whole mess with Vector, okay?). But he also knew that Korosensei was changing, that he had begun to care for his students. His teacher might be able to hide his thoughts behind the wide smile but Yuma had gotten better at reading people through dueling.

" You know sir, if you want to you can go and buy another Gelato. I don't mind ending our duel right now." Yuma told his opponent. They had already finished their usual tutoring lesson and went through the test he did earlier that day. Side, it was hard to enjoy the duel when Korosensei kept absentmindedly punching the wall with one of his tentacles.

" No need, Yuma my boy. I promised you a duel today, and I wouldn't be much of a teacher if I didn't keep my promise." Korosensei stopped his punching, before grabbing a spare pen and biting it. " Also, I can't afford another Gelato until next month."

So that's the real reason, Yuma thought to himself. Placing a face down he changed the subject. " Korosensei, can I ask something ?"

"Of course, that's what I'm here for." Korosensei replied.

"Well, it's about Miss Yukimura. I-I'm not accusing you of anything, sir." Yuma quickly added on. "It's just she-I-it's just-"

Yuma paused and took a deep breath before he began again. "I want to know what caused Miss Yukimura's death."

Korosensei froze, even with the ever-present smile Yuma can tell that his teacher was troubled by his question.

"The school insisted that she just quit her job but I know that's a lie. Miss Yukimura was great, she made class fun, she didn't look down on us and…..she was one of the few teachers who hadn't given up on me as a student. She wouldn't just abandon us out of nowhere." Yuma's shoulder slumped." So I went looking, found her grave and…"

A tentacle laid on his shoulder as Korosensei's soft voice filled the silence. "I'm very sorry Yuma, I can not tell you the answer to that question yet."

"Why not?!" Yuma shouted, slamming his hands on the desk.

"I'm sorry that I can't provide this closure that you seek, Yuma, I really am. But when the whole class is ready, I'll tell all of you the truth." Korosensei said gently.

Letting his shoulder droop, Yuma found himself teared up. Quickly wiping away the tears, Yuma turned his sight to the game to find Korosensei summoning a Umi monster. "You promise?"

Korosensei nodded. "I promise. Now how about we move away from that and talk about the future?"

"There's a chance that one of us will die in March, sir. But I wouldn't look forward to it ." Yuma commented. He was still on the fence about whether or not to kill his teacher. Sure he went along with the class' assassination attempt but Yuma wasn't going to proactively go after Korosensei. There was still something missing from this picture.

" And how about after then? Do you have any plans after Junior High? For college?" Korosensei pushed on.

" Haven't thought about it." Yuma admitted. He had wanted to become a professional duelist before he was teleported but Duel Monster was still new here. It was popular, sure, but not enough for him to go pro. And he wasn't lying when he said he hadn't thought about it because he thought he wouldn't be here long enough to worry about it.

Judging by the fact that Korosensei just activated [Levia-Dragon - Daedalus]'s effect, his teacher was not pleased with the answer. "Tell me Yuma, if you are planning to duel against someone in a tournament what would you do before the duel starts?"

"If I have some idea on what their deck and play style is like, I'll try to plan around it. If not, I just go with my usual XYZ monster combos ." Yuma shrugged. He activated [Divine Wrath] to negate the effect.

"But in both scenarios, you have a plan." Korosensei concluded, revealing his face down [Karma Cut, destroying his [Heroic Champion - Excalibur] before attacking his wide-open field with [Mermaid Knight]. " Life is like a tournament, my boy. We cannot predict every scenario but at the same time going in without a clear plan is likely to cost you your victory."

Yuma's Lifepoint dropped to zero but all he could focus on was the tentacle pressing against his forehead.

"I have no doubt you'll accomplish whatever it is you set your mind to, now all we need to do is figure out what it is." In a blink of an eye, all of the cards on the table were neatly put back into their deck. "Give it some thought Yuma, for now," A tentacle laid out several sheets of paper filled with information on different high schools, "How about we start small? "

Due to some confusion on the name of the chapters, I've decided to add a little section where I explain why I chose that specific card for the Chapter. Please noted that I'll be using the anime description for most of the cards:

Chapter 1: [Vector Change - When your opponent's monster declares an attack: Target 1 Defense Position monster your opponent controls; change the attacking monster to Defense Position and the target to Attack Position.] - basically refer to the fact Korosensei, who used to be the first Reaper and was used to kill people is now have to DEFEND himself from assasins. While class 3E, through the system of Kunugigaoka, basically give up on changing their position in the school was switched to be active ( or to ATTACK you could say) to beat the system and improve themselves. Also theoretically both are on the same field, even if the students are trying to kill Korosensei.

Chapter 2: [ Achacha Archer - When this card is Normal or Flip Summoned: Inflict 500 damage to your opponent.] - this one isn't as complex as Vector Change but basically a reference how Yuma manage to get through Korosensei's speed and cut off one tentacles which is the direct attack part.

Chapter 3: [Puzzle Reborn - If exactly 1 monster you control (and no other cards) is destroyed by a card effect: Target that monster; Special Summon that target.] - So Karma whole thing with cutting off Korosensei's tentacles, calling him a scaredy-cat and basically daring him to kill his students greatly upset him (Not to the point of dying but it does mess with his psyche ). But Korosensei still come back from it when Yuma needed his guidance.

If you guys got any better ideas tell me. If the reasons are good I'll change the chapter's name and give you credit.
