Father barely went on missions, being the Jonin Commander and the head of the clan, he was busy in the village most of the times. But there were times when he went out as well, and on his last mission, which was one month ago he got two weapons from the shinobi, who tried to kill him. He killed them and took their weapons. That was how things worked, if you killed, you'd snatch the goods, and then you'd sell them to make money. Simple and brutal like that.

That was why he took me and Shikamaru with him to a weapon shop, he was selling his goods and he told us to look around.

The shop had everything, from new to second-hand weapons, from little pocket knives to swords, and there were those that I didn't even know what they were. But anyway, in my past life I held swords in my hands, and I threw knives. As a child I was told that I should have an aim, since we lived near the forest and sometimes animals could attack, I had to know how to use a weapon. I had a pocket knife, but that of course, wouldn't do that much damage, but by throwing it, you could hit an eye, which could get the animal blind. And I liked playing darts. I wasn't the best at aiming, but I wasn't bad either, I was there, in the middle.

My eyes diverted to the side and I saw a knife that was bigger, and it had a holder like a katana. I watched it for a few moments, and then I took it onto my hand, feeling it. It was weird, I didn't know what it was. It wasn't big enough for a sword and yet it was bigger than a knife. Then I saw a katana placed next to it and took that in my other hand, trying to feel the difference.

The katana brought back memories. Oh, how many times I envisioned myself as a Sith, and for that purpose, I learned how to wield a lightsaber, which was brought from the local market. I wasn't good at it, but I knew some tricks. When I held real swords in my hand, I tried those tricks, but man were those swords heavy. The katana though was much lighter than a normal sword and I liked that. It felt almost like a lightsaber, but it was longer and well… It wasn't made of plastic.

I didn't know what to choose, the katana felt alright, but the other weapon felt better in my hand. So I looked between them, but then I saw that there were wood katanas and swords and all kinds of stuff next to the entrance.

"Are those for selling?" I asked and the owner turned to me.

"Not really, they are for practice, so if somebody doesn't know what to buy, they can try to learn how to use those before. They are for rent." he told me and I nodded.

"Father, can I get a wood katana and a… That thing?" I pointed at the weird knife.

"A tanto." he corrected.

That was a tanto, huh. The anime made it look bigger, and so I thought it would be bigger, and I clearly cannot see Kakashi using that as a sword, just like he used it in the anime, but hey, who am I to judge?

Shikamaru and I ended at the third training ground since it looked like it was the only free training ground, and we put down our wood weapons. Well, he had mostly simple kunai with him and some kakute that he bought with father, but other than that he didn't have anything else. I had my wooden sticks – tanto and katana.

"Yo!" I turned sharply to see Kakashi in his jonin attire and a girl… Who was her? I waved and he waved back. "Are you stalking me, Shikanai?" he asked me with that acted playfulness and I scrunched my nose at him.

"I left a note at your apartment that we will try to figure out some stuff and we need your help." I told him. Father told us that he wasn't that much into weapons, shadows were good enough for him, but he told us to have a go and just try to use some, if we didn't like it then he would not force us to use them. So, he told me to contact Kakashi and tell him to help us, since he knew that I was talking with the guy. I told my parents that I was talking with Kakashi a while ago, they didn't comment on it, well, father muttered 'troublesome girl', the usual.

"Oh, I haven't been home yet." he told us with a shrug. "Thought I'd have a spar with my kohai." he gestured to the girl. "Why are you on a training ground reserved for ninjas?" he rose his visible eyebrow.

"Dad is an influential man." Shikamaru chirped in and I stifled a laugh.

"And besides, we will be ninja one day, why not get used to the place?" I smirked and shrugged.

Kakashi shook his head, but the girl chuckled.

"Fine, Tenzo, we will spar later." he told the… WHAT THE FUCK

THAT WAS TENZO?

He looked like a girl!

Gosh! Tenzo! How?

"No problem, Senpai." well, his voice was higher pitched, but heck. I couldn't believe it, I thought Tenzo was a girl! He looked like a girl. The fuck. "My name is Tenzo, nice to meet you." he smiled at us, but I was still shocked. He looked like a girl!

"I'm Shikamaru and that's my sister, Shikanai." I snapped back to reality.

"What did you need help with?" Kakashi asked, getting to the point.

"Dad wants us to try some weapons, it's a drag, but we couldn't say no to him." Shikamaru explained in his bored tone. "Can you help us to learn how to use them?" Kakashi nodded slowly.

"What weapons?" he asked.

"I mostly want some tips to be faster and better at using kunai, but then there's the kakute I have never used before. While my sister got herself a katana and a tanto." I saw Kakashi stiffen for a moment, oh, touchy subject. Why did I have to pick the 'weird looking knife'?

"Both of them?" Tenzo asked me and I shook my head.

"I just can't choose." I shrugged.

"I'm surprised he wants you to be taught how to use weapons this early on." Tenzo looked at us, we only shrugged.

Kakashi went to help Shikamaru put those rings of his on, without scratching himself and giving him tips on how to use them, Tenzo was watching them, so I went and took the wooden katana and stepping away from them, I took my distance and took the Anakin pose - you know, that one, where he has the blade over his head and he looks stunningly hot.

I imagined myself in the Star Wars universe. Heck, I freaking loved Darth Vader, and I knew Anakin's choreography and even that had missing parts. So, I took in a deep breath and began the choreography. I spun the wooden katana in my right hand and brought it around my body, while I spun it continuously, my feet moved on their own accord, but they moved in sync with my spinning, and as I was spinning it and turning and doing stuff I felt like I was at home again, alone, trying to learn the moves. My mind was playing Duel of the Fates and I was imagining hitting Obi-Wan with my wooden katana.

Then I stopped. Well, it wasn't that bad, but I still didn't like the thought of having a sharp long object going around my body. I could easily hurt myself and I didn't like that thought at all. Neh. Long blades wouldn't do it for me.

I turned to the others only to see them gape at me.

"What?" I looked at myself and behind me, what were they looking at?

"S-sister?" Shikamaru asked with a tone full of disbelief and amazement.

"Yeah, why are you looking at me like that?" I tilted my head.

"How did you do that?" it was Tenzo's turn to ask questions. Oh. So that was the problem. My choreography… Hehe… Think brain! What to say, what to say…

"Uh… Well…" I scratched the back of my head. "It just came to my head." I smiled sheepishly.

"A whole choreography!" Tenzo asked, his face revealing his shock at my stunt.

"Well, it wasn't a whole choreography…. It had missing parts..." I muttered.

"It just came to your mind? A choreography?!" his voice rose, then he looked at Kakashi with big eyes. "Senpai, is this even possible?" leave it to Tenzo to ask Kakashi such nonsense questions. If I did it, of course, it could be possible!

"She's a smart girl." Kakashi shrugged and eye smiled at Tenzo. "Will you choose the katana?" Kakashi asked me.

"No, it just doesn't feel right, it's long and a-"

"It doesn't feel right?!" Tenzo exclaimed.

"Troublesome." Shikamaru sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. I chuckled awkwardly and went to pick up the tanto, which instantly felt better.

"The only problem is, I have no idea how to use it." I tried spinning it in my hand, it went faster, I spun it forward and backward, constantly, trying to feel the weapon and feel better at using it, relaxing my wrist while holding it. Tenzo looked at me incredulously, but then Kakashi began speaking.

"I can help with that." he told me and I looked up at him. He came closer and I gave him the wooden weapon, so he began doing a routine he knew. He didn't show the whole routine, but he looked so graceful and deadly doing it.

After that, he wanted to come to me and guide me through the moves but I shook my head and told him to re-do the routine. He hesitated, furrowing his brows (or more like brow), but he did it. By the time he finished, I could go through half the already not whole routine. He looked impressed by that, but he didn't comment on it.

Later that week father bought me a tanto and Kakashi began teaching me how to use it in his free time.

Okay, first of all, I'm sorry I kept you guys waiting for this chapter. I had hectic days, plus my birthday came and went, so my program was just too full. But, I wanted to make it up for that, that's why you get this chapter, which basically consists of two chapters merged together.

I still don't own Naruto.

And enter Tenzo, I just had to put him in the story. Other than I really have no idea what to say about this chapter, I tried to make it a little funny and I just had to put Star Wars references in there, sorry for those, who hate SW. Kohai means a junior, Kakashi is the senpai, the one who has experience, the one who is higher ranked, while Tenzo is the junior form of that. Kakute are kinda like rings, but they have a spiky edge on the inside.

Hope you like the story!
