A/N: So I've got the first 4 chapters done, the fifth being edited. There are two assumptions for this work: Jasper never dated Alice and that Bella grows a backbone.

"Alice is…. Sex any different as a vampire?"

"Hmm? What do you mean?" Alice tilted her head, looking up from the book she was reading on Bella's bed.

"I just I mean, when you're with Jasper, is he like rock hard all over? Or does he feel like a human to you?"

Alice's response was colored in confusion. "With Jasper? You think I'm together with Jasper?"

"Uh, yes." Bella's response came out more like a question.

"Why would you think Jasper and I are together, Bella?" Alice closed the book, laying on her stomach, closer to Bella at her desk.

"Because Jessica said so. And you said you'd seen a vision of him meeting you. And it's not like anyone told me you weren't." Bella spoke but realized she was sounding more like an idiot as she kept speaking.

Alice's musical voice was amused. "You believed Jessica Stanley about something? Bella, Jasper and I have never been together. I stick close to him because Jazz isn't used to the vegetarian lifestyle." She picked at Bella's bedspread and had never looked more like a teenage girl.

"He finds me easier to talk to than the rest of the family. We were wandering together for years meeting the Cullens, but only as friends. So to answer your question Bella, no I don't know what sex is like, human or vampire. I don't remember my human life."

"Oh. Well then back to the other part of my question. Do the other vampires feel normal to you? Like not hard as stone?" Bella could feel herself blushing as she looked at Alice.

"Well, think about it like this Bella. You feel so…. squishy to me. But hugging Esme or Carlisle is normal. I don't know what it felt like to hug as a human."

Bella stood, going over to Alice on the bed and laying next to her. "Well then, I guess I'll have to ask Esme or Carlisle. But well, I won't lie, I thought you and Jasper were a bit weird together. When I went to your house, you two seemed the furthest from a couple. But at school you do kinda seem like you're dating. Edward also never said anything about you two not being together."

Alice smiled tightly at Bella, her hand reaching out to squeeze Bella's. "Well that's probably my fault. I want Jazz to be comfortable but I might be a bit over affectionate so he can smell a scent other than human blood."

Bella looked at their joined hands, then back to Alice's face. "Right. That makes sense. You could see about other ways to do that."

"Like what?" Alice sat up, and Bella followed her friend, bumping shoulders with her.

"Like see if he could wear cologne. Find one that smells strong and maybe bad to you. He can be smelling that first."

"Bella! I've never thought of that." Alice started squirming, a sure sign she was excited. "Tomorrow should be cloudy and it is a Saturday."

"No." Bella stood up. "You can't convince me to go shopping again Alice. Besides, I'm grounded."

Alice pouted, looking at Bella and saw her resolve falter. "Pllleasse Bella."

Bella sighed, "Fine. But only if you promise not to make me try on more than 10 outfits."

Alice pouted again. "I promise Bella." She patted the bed beside her, "C'mon you need to finish your math homework and it'll be faster if I explain trigonomic functions than having you struggle through it."

Bella grinned, grabbing her math book and leaning against the petite vampire. "You're the best vampire ever Alice."

Alice hummed happily and began to explain double angle functions.
