Chapter 2-King County
T-dog's P.O.V
T-dog sat in the passenger seat of Shane's car with Shane driving behind Daryl's bike. They have been driving for about an hour. "I miss the radio," Shane says, breaking the silence. T-dog looks at him.
"Should've looked for some cd's while on the highway," T-dog says. Shane chuckles.
"Yeah, I should've," Shane says.
"Why do you think Daryl came? I mean, yeah, Daryl's a loner. But he had to have another reason," T-dog says.
"Maybe he is looking for Merle," Shane says. "You never did find him. And he might have made it out of the city. Daryl might be looking for him,"
"Do you have a plan if we find more people?" T-dog asks.
"Depends if they aren't idiots. I don't hate people. I hate people who don't know what they are doing," Shane says as Daryl pulls over on the side of the road and turns off the bike. Shane shuts off the truck and gets out with T-dog. "Why'd you stop?"
"Where the hell are we going?" Daryl asks.
"Yeah, good question," T-dog says. Shane goes back to the car and pulls out a map, and sets it on the hood. "Where'd you get that?"
"Found one on the highway," Shane tells him. Shane looks at the map and motions Daryl over. Daryl looks at the map as Shane marks an x on an area.
"That's the farm," T-dog says.
"Yep, we want to stay away from there," Shane says as he marks another area.
"And that?" Daryl asks.
"King County. Rick might not have cleared out the entire police station. We can go there. Rick said someone saved him there. That the man had a son, maybe he'll still be there. Might still be some supplies," Shane says. Daryl nods and starts to study the map.
"Get something to eat. We didn't eat before we left," Daryl says. Shane and T-dog nod as they walk to the car and get food out. A few minutes later, Daryl calls them over. He had circled an area on the map.
"What is the circle?" T-dog asks.
"Merle and I went on the road a few times. Hunted near this area a few times," Daryl says.
"What's there?" Shane asks.
"Something loud. I heard talking, and it was near some tracks. Do you know anything out there?" Daryl asks Shane.
"A prison, I think," Shane says.
"That might be overrun," T-dog says.
"It doesn't matter if we can find another way in. We can get supplies and leave," Daryl says.
"Then let's hope we find some more people because it's just the three of us. This will be hard," Shane says.
"Let's hope Rick's friend is in King County," Daryl says. "Let's get going," Daryl says as he goes back to his bike. Shane and T-dog get back in the car, and they go back on the road.
King County. Late Afternoon
Daryl stops his bike on the main street of King County. Shane and T-dog get out. "Why did I stop?" Daryl asks.
"Rick lived on this street," Shane says. He points at Rick's house. "He lived there,"
"Is there a point to us being here?" T-dog asks.
"I think Rick's friend is around here," Shane says. Daryl nods as a walker comes towards them. He raises his crossbow and shoots it in the head. The walker falls to the ground, and Daryl walks over to it and pulls the bolt out.
"Drop your weapons!" They hear a man say from a house. They look and see a man in a window with a sniper rifle.
"Hey, we're looking for someone. He would know a man by the name of Rick Grimes," Shane says.
"How do you know that name?" The man asks.
"My name is Shane Walsh. I was Rick's partner before the turn, and I got Lori and Carl to safety. This is Daryl and T-dog. We just want to talk," Shane says.
"Go up to the door," The man says. Daryl and T-dog follow Shane up to the door. The man opens the door. "I'm Morgan Jones," Morgan said. Morgan was a black man with a bald head. Morgan had a gun by his side. "If you try anything. I will kill you,"
"Got it," T-dog says. Morgan lets them inside, and they see a kid sitting down reading a book.
"That's my son Duane," Morgan says.
"Hey, Duane. I'm Shane, and this is Daryl and T-dog," Shane says.
"You said you know Rick. Do you know where he is now?" Morgan asks as he sits down.
"Yeah, we left him earlier today," Daryl says.
"Why?" Morgan asks.
"I was leaving already, and these two tagged alone for their own reasons," Shane says as he sits down.
"He's alive then?" Morgan asks.
"Yeah," Shane says.
"Did he find his wife and son?" Duane asks.
"Yeah. His wife is pregnant," Daryl tells the child, who nods.
"So why are you here?" Morgan asks. "We were leaving for Atlanta soon," Morgan says.
"It's overrun. Rick barely made it out," T-dog says.
"So where is he?" Duane asks.
"A farm near Senoia," Daryl says.
"The reason we are here is we are hoping you'll join us, Morgan," Shane says.
"Join you?" Morgan asks.
"Come with us. We're trying to find a place for people to live. A place we know will be safe," T-dog says.
"We need more people, and we were hoping you'd come," Shane says.
"And If I choose not to?" Morgan asks.
"We'll tell you where the farm is and let you go," Daryl says.
"You have a plan?" Duane asks.
"We're heading to prison after this. There should be some supplies there. Food, guns, medicine," Shane says.
"How safe is this farm?" Morgan asks.
"If a big enough herd hits it. They ain't keeping it," Daryl says.
"How many people?" Morgan asks.\
"12 plus a prisoner," Shane says.
"Prisoner?" Morgan asks.
"Long story," T-dog says. Morgan nods and looks at them.
"A smaller group makes less noise. A larger one is safer," Morgan says.
"Like Daryl said. We'll send you to the farm," Shane says.
"I'll come with you for a week or two and see how it goes. If it goes bad and we don't feel safe. We'll go to this farm," Morgan says as he looks at Duane, who nods.
"Great. Does he have any gun training?" Shane asks.
"Yeah," Morgan says. "I do ask for a favor,"
"What is it?" T-dog asks.
"My wife. She is a walker outside. She shows up during the night sometimes," Morgan says.
"You want us to help you kill her?" Shane asks. Morgan nods. "Okay. We will help,"
"You got shovels?" T-dog asks.
"Back door," Morgan says. Daryl follows T-dog as they go to the back door.
That night Daryl stood in the window with T-dog. Daryl had his crossbow, and T-dog had a rifle. Shane and Morgan were downstairs. Shane had a knife, and Morgan had a machete. "Duane, you stay here," Morgan tells them before they go outside.
"Go, T-dog," Shane says. T-dog aims into the scope and shoots the first walker in the head. He shoots two more before they finally see his wife.
"That's her. That's my Jenny," Morgan says.
"T-dog, Daryl. Keep us covered," Shane says as they go down the step. Shane stabs the first walker, and Daryl shoots one with his crossbow.
"Don't shoot unless you have to," Daryl tells T-dog, who nods. Morgan cuts one head off, and they clear the street with the help of Daryl and T-dog above them. The last walker was Morgan's wife, who was a few feet in front of him.
"You can do this, Morgan," Shane says. Morgan nods as he drops the machete and pulls out a knife. He walks up to Jenner and grabs her shirt.
"I love you," Morgan says before he stabs her in the head. Morgan holds her close. Shane helps him carry her to the back of the house and into the grave. "Get some sleep. We'll leave in the mornin' tomorrow," Morgan says. Shane nods as he goes inside.
"Get some sleep," He tells the other three as he lays down. They nod as they lay down and go to sleep.
The Next Morning.
Morgan puts his and Duane's things in the back of the car. Duane throws their last bag in. "Okay, we going to be okay?" Duane asks.
"Yeah, we should be," Morgan tells him. Duane nods as Daryl, Shane, and T-dog come outside.
"We should reach the prison by midday. We'll figure out how to get in from there," Shane says. Morgan nods as he gets in the back with Duane. Shane and T-dog get in, and Daryl climbs on his bike. They leave, heading for the prison.
Thanks for reading. This is a fun story, and I am coming up with more ideas for it, as I right. One of the main pairings will be Daryl and Rosita, but that will wait. Thank you to everybody for the support on the first chapter. It was amazing. Next chapter the group raids the prison and are found by an old friend. I have already written five chapters for this story. I will put one out every few days. The first four follow Daryl, Shane, and T-dog. The fifth will follow the group as the farm falls. Let me know if you want to see anything. As always, suggestions, ideas, and feedback are welcomed. Until next time.
