Chapter 17-Ending this

Two days later

Randall's P.O.V

Randall walked out of his room and shut the door. He looks at Dale, who was looking at Shane, who was talking to Michonne. Randall walks over to him. "You okay?" Randall asks.

"Yeah," Dale says before he looks at him. "Has he said anything to you?"

"No, I've been avoiding him, Dale. When I first got there. He wanted to kill me. I don't know if that has changed, and I don't want to find out. I have your trust. I have Rick's trust, and I have the other's trust. That is good enough for me," Randall says.

"We have to earn these people's trust," Dale says.

"I'll figure it out," Randall says before he walks away. He walks past Shane, who looks at him.

"You think you can kill someone?" Shane asks him. Randall and Dale look at.

"What do you mean?" Dale asks.

"Today, we are killing the rest of the group who attacked Woodbury. Who almost killed Tiny. Daryl and Rosita can't fight right now, and we could use the help. So do you think you can kill someone?" Shane asks.

"Yeah," Randall says. "I'll help,"

"Good, be by the gate in two hours," Shane says. Randall nods as he leaves the building.

Rick's P.O.V

Rick sat in his room looking at the table. Lori walks in. "Where's Carl?" Rick asks.

"With Morgan, Axel, Daune, Andre, and Penny," Lori says. She walks over to Rick. "You've been quiet since you talked to Shane. What did he say?"

"Told me that this baby is his. Said that if we tried to stop him from being in the baby's life," Rick tells her.

"What did you say?" Lori asks him.

"He asked me if it was clear, and I said crystal," Rick says.

"I'll talk to him," Lori says.

"That will make it worse, Lori. Let me do it," Rick says.

"Fine," Lori says. Rick nods as he leaves the room.

Daryl's P.O.V

Daryl sat in the bed in the infirmary. He looks at Glenn as he walks into the infirmary. "You okay?" Daryl asks him.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just wanted to see how you were doing," Glenn says as he sits down beside him. "It's been hard without you, T-dog, and Shane,"

"You made it," Daryl says. "Most of you did,"

"I'm sorry about Carol," Glenn says.

"It isn't your fault," Daryl says. "I didn't thank you for your help in the woods,"

"Maggie killed the man. I didn't," Glenn says. "I don't think I could,"

"Do your best not to. Killing someone isn't easy, Glenn, and you become a different person after it. You're one of the good things left in this world, and we all see it. Don't lose that," Daryl says to Glenn, who nods. They look at Hershel.

"How are you feeling, Daryl?" Hershel asks him.

"Fine," Daryl says. "Can I go today?"

"I feel regardless of what I say. You are going to," Hershel says. Daryl looks at Tiny, who Stevens was looking at.

"They killed good people. Hurt my friend. Yeah, you're right," Daryl says.

"I don't think you should. But I see what you have too," Hershel says. Daryl nods as he steps off the bed. He stands up and takes a deep breath as he starts to walk. Daryl limps as he walks to the door and opens it. Glenn follows him out. Daryl walks over to Haley, Tomas, and Shane, who were loading the cars with guns.

"What are you doing out of bed?" Tomas asks.

"I ain't missing this," Daryl says. "These are my people too," Shane sighs as he grabs a bolt action sniper and holds it out to Daryl. "You use this. You stay back," Daryl nods as he grabs the rifle. They look at Philip as he walks down to them.

"Who all is coming?" Haley asks.

"Alisha has said there are about a dozen to two dozen left. Alisha, Randall, Merle, Martinez, Tomas, Oscar, Morales, Abraham, Andrea, Rick, T-dog, and us four are going,"

"Rosita isn't?" Shane asks.

"No, she's taking the doctor's advice," Philip says as he looks at Daryl.

"I've had worse," Daryl says. "If it makes you feel any better. Shane has me on sniper duty,"

"Tomorrow, you guys will start the council. I want to see this through before I step down," Philip says. They all nod as the rest of the people attacking the group walk down to them. Philip looks at the people of Woodbury. He climbs onto the bed. "A few days ago. We were attacked by men who wanted what we had. And we lost some people. Some good people, and now one of ours is in a coma. Today we avenge our friends. Today blood will be spilled in the name of justice. Today our friend's souls are put to rest," Philip says to the people of Woodbury. They cheer as everybody gets in the three cars between them and leaves Woodbury.

Alice's P.O.V

Alice walks into the room Rosita was in and sees the woman lying in bed looking at the ceiling. "You okay?" Alice asks Rosita as she shuts the door.

"Should I have gone?" Rosita asks Alice.

"No, you were smart to stay. Daryl could have been shot in both of his legs and figured out a way to leave. He feels he owes it to the people who died," Alice says as she sits down. "You'll heal faster if you rest,"

"I know," Rosita says. She looks at Alice with a smile. "So are you and Tomas together?"

"What? No. Why would you think that?" Alice asks her.

"Because after the attack, he was the first person to come and see you," Rosita says.

"No, we aren't together," Alice says. Rosita nods as she lays her head back. The door opens, and Stevens walks into the room.

"Alice, come with me. We need to be prepared if one of them comes back hurt," Stevens says. Alice nods as she follows her out of the room.

Morgan's P.O.V

Morgan and Axel watched the kids play. "Have you ever had kids?" Morgan asks Axel.

"Nope. I wasn't even with anybody when I got locked up," Axel says as he looks at the kids. "Chances seem even slimmer now," They look at Lori as she comes over to them.

"Hey, Axel. Can you give us a moment?" Lori asks Axel, who nods as he stands up and goes over to the kids. Lori sits down beside Morgan.

"Is there a problem, Lori?" Morgan asks her.

"No," Lori says. "I came here to thank you. For helping Rick in the beginning and saving him,"

"He's a good man," Morgan says. "He gave me the guns that helped me protect my son. May I give you some advice?"

"About?" Lori asks.

"Your situation with Shane and Rick," Morgan says.

"You know about that?" Lori asks.

"We all do. Nobody blames your Lori. You believed Rick was dead. But you and Rick need to accept the truth," Morgan says. "You need to have a sit down with both of them, or things are going to get much worse between all three of you,"

"I'll think about it," Lori says. Morgan nods as she walks away.

Philip's P.O.V

Philip watched the group that attacked Woodbury over the hill. They weren't far from them. "Which one of these bastards is the leader?" Alisha grabs the binoculars and looks at the group.

"Scar across his cheek. Baldhead," Alisha says as she hands the binoculars to Philip.

"Don't kill him. We leave him for last," Philip says. "Do you have sights on them?" He asks Daryl, who nods. "Stay up here. The rest of us will head down and kill them," They all nod as they start to head down the hill towards their camp. Once they all get behind trees, Philip nods to Merle, who fires the first shot killing the first man. Gunshots ring out around them as they all shoot at the men who fell down dead in under two minutes.

"He's all that's left," Martinez says.

"Don't move, Scott," Alisha says as she comes out of the woods with her gun pointed at the man on the ground with a bullet in his leg.

"Alisha, you bitch," Scott says as Philip walks up to him.

"Your men killed friends of mine and put one of them in a coma," Philip says.

"That's not my problem," Scott says. Phillip nods as he looks at the walkers coming out of the woods. Philip aims his handgun at Scott's other leg and pulls the trigger. Scoot screams as his left leg starts to bleed.

"You won't die to us. Your men shot at my daughter and took my hand. Now you'll die like the animal you are," Philip says before he turns to leave. The others follow him. Alisha flips him off as they walk away.

"No, please," Scott says as a walker grabs his arm and bites into it. Scott screams as the herd starts to eat him. Philip looks at Daryl as they get to the top.

"You okay?" Philip asks.

"Fine, let's go home," Daryl says as he walks down to the cars. Shane looks at Randall as he follows Rick.

"Nice job, kid," Shane says to Randall, who looks at him. Randall smiles as he follows Rick to the truck.

Daryl's P.O.V

Daryl walks into the infirmary and sees Stevens looking at him. "It's done," Daryl tells them.

"Everybody okay?" Hershel asks.

"Yeah, besides them. We caught them off guard," Daryl says as he goes into the room where Rosita was. Rosita looks up from the book she was reading.

"You guys did it?" Rosita asks.

"Yeah, Philip left the last one for the walkers," Daryl says. "Are you ready to be a council member?"

"I still can't believe that is happening," Rosita says.

"We start tomorrow," Daryl says. He pats her legs. "Get some rest,"

"You too," Rosita says. Daryl nods as he leaves the room.

Lori's P.O.V

Rick looked at the door as there was a knock. "Who's that? I thought Carl was with Morgan," Rick says. Lori walks to the door and opens it. Shane looks at her.

"We all need to have a talk," Lori says as she walks back to the table. Shane sits down beside Rick. "Look, we all have a long history together," Lori looks at Rick. "This baby is Shane's, and Shane has every right to be in the baby's life. And we can't stop him from doing that," Lori tells Rick. She looks at Shane. "You do have the right, but you will respect the rules we set. Do you understand that?" Shane nods.

"Can I go now? I'm tired," Shane says. Lori nods as Shane leaves the room. She looks at Rick.

"I think we have a lot more to talk about," Lori says.

"Yeah, but we'll do that later. I'm going to bed," Rick says as he goes to bed. Lori nods as she sits down.

Thanks for reading. This chapter closes out the story with the group that attacked Woodbury. Now we enter the rebuilding saga and the group who attacked Daryl and Rosita on the road. As always, suggestions, ideas, and feedback are welcomed. Until next time.
