Silence filled the room once again. The group not knowing what to say or do. They had known these people one day and they were already coming out with all the family drama on day one. Bakugo's inability to react to what had just happened was the scariest part of it. Ashley didn't budge and kept eye contact with her brother. Then, as Bakugo would put it, she got cocky and gave him a smile that seemed to challenge him further.

As he was about to snap Ashley decided, once again, to act ahead. "Well, I have some work to get done before curfew." she said walking toward the door and passed Bakugo who remained frozen. The rest of the students began to speak amongst themselves again. Kirishima and Mina continued to watch their friend reach the door. As she slid her shoes on at the door her brother gave her one last stab.

"You're no sister of mine..." he whispered.

Ouch.

She contained herself as to not show him signs of weakness and she left.

Bitch.

Ashley leaned against the door and sighed, letting out the frustration of her brother's behaviour towards her. I knew it wouldn't be easy... she thought to herself.

She was too lost in her thoughts to notice somebody had walked up a couple feet away from her. As the dual tone hair entered her peripheral vision she snapped out of it and made direct contact with a pair of mismatched eyes. There you are. Shoto Todoroki, son of the number 2 hero in Japan, Endeavor.

"Sorry..." she said removing herself from the door and walking on down the 3 steps to the building to where Todoroki stood. His eyes always locked on her but his enigmatic expression didn't let anything off. Ashley stopped right in front of him to give him a small nod of the head to as if to say "hello", and she walked on.

She didn't make it passed 3 steps forward before she heard a sound she hadn't expected to heard.

"I honestly don't understand why you're here. I have known you for the better part of 10 years and I didn't think you'd ever be in a place like UA." he commented. At the sound of his voice she whipped round to look at him. After speaking he turned to face her. Her eyes wide in surprise with a small smile breaking on her lips. "W-what?" he asked her as if he could sense there was something off.

Ashley slid her hands into her pockets and let out a small whispered chuckle while looking at the ground. "Well, it's as you just said..." she started then locking eyes with him again. "...we've known each other for ten years..." she continued, leaving Todoroki more confused as to where she was going with this. "...yet that was the first time I've ever heard you speak." she finished.

Oh.

The two continued to look at each other for what felt like an eternity. Ashley could feel her heartbeat speed up rapidly and decided she should remove herself from the situation.

"I-I need to get going. See you later." she stumbled the words out as she turned away and walked away leaving Todoroki stood in front of the dorms alone. He signed and turned back to the door and entered the dorms. The place was in chaos. Bakugo had Midoriya by the collar yelling about how he was a million times better than him and he would crush him. Ida and Uraraka were busy trying to get Bakugo to let go of the poor boy. Todoroki saw a few of his classmates talking and another few laughing at the Bakugo/ Midoriya situation. He sighed once again, he did that a lot recently, and proceeded to walk out towards the stairs to go to his room. This wasn't his type of scene, too much noise.

As he plopped down on his bed he reviewed the interaction he had just had with the blonde girl. He rememberer the same red eyes he met that first day when they were 5; how they warmed up as time went on, his would do the opposite. He found himself thinking of the girl as he fell asleep but one thought kept coming up in his mind, this is just inconvenient.

Ashley had walked back to the faculty office to drop off paperwork from the first-years. As she approached the door in the dark hallway, with just the light from the faculty office's opaque windows to lighten her way, she stopped. She was still mad, her face still showing the bitterness she had towards her brother. Taking a deep breathe she knocked on the door.

"Come in!" A familiar voice called out from the other side of the door. She slid the door open to see Aizawa, Present Mic, Midnight and Cementoss at their desks getting the last bit of work done after a bust first day. She walked up to her homeroom teacher holding the pile of papers up for him to see before she placed them on his desk without a word.

"Thanks." he spoke glancing at the papers on his desk then back to the girl in front of him. Something was wrong, it was written all over her face, and he knew exactly what it was. "You spoke to him." he stated before looking back at this computer, typing out a few words slowly waiting for her response. Ashley took a quick but deep breathe in trying to control herself before she let out her frustration in front of all the teachers.

"He's my brother... of course I spoke to him." she said in a slightly hushed tine as to not draw attention, although she fully knew the three adults were listening in. "I can't go a whole three years pretending he's not here." she continued. Aizawa stopped typing and turned his head slightly towards her.

"Just don-" he began but his lecture was soon interrupted by a some release of frustration by Ashley.

"'Don't let it interfere'... I know." she quoted the words she had heard for months now, tired of them. It had been a long day and she didn't expect to have a go at her brother so soon into this. She threw her hands up as if she was giving up and started to move away. "I'm tired, I'll turn in." she said leaving the room before anyone could say goodbye.

Aizawa kept his gaze on the door where the girl had just left and he contemplated. His thoughts were quickly interrupted by Midnight's voice.

"How aren't you sick of that sad face?" she asked him, his attention not being drawn away from the door unable to fund any words to answer with. "She's been through enough..." she added picking up her things to leave for the day. "...I think that boy needs to grow up and face reality." she commented before leaving herself. Aizawa still staring in the direction of the door. He knew she was right. He, like many of the current teachers at UA had spend years watching this girl be disappointed, mistreated and tossed aside. Things had changed but the things that mattered to her didn't seem much different since that first day he met those piercing red eyes. This is so not what I signed up for.

Ok so i think this was the last set up chapter so from the next you can expect a bit more story.
