The week carried on pretty normal, a couple of Bakugo's bust ups couldn't be missed. Ashley was nowhere to be seen, then again they were working through all the base work to start the year. It was a long week of training and bar setting for the young soon to be heroes, but it was finally Friday which meant they were free to go home for the weekend.

As the class cleared out quickly, as the students were eager to get back to their families, Midoriya, Uraraka and Ida trailed behind the rest. Walking out of the building last, watching their classmates exit the gates, they noticed a black car with tinted windows stop just outside the gates. As they walked closer one of the rear doors opened and from it emerged a very tired and scruffy looking Ashley. Her hair was tied up again but it this time it almost resembled a tumbleweed in its messiness, she wore an all black jumpsuit that was near skin tight. As she got out the car she noticed the stares of her classmates, she closed her eyes and sighed.

"Hey Ashley! Where have you been? You look des-" Uraraka started asking in a curious frenzy but was interrupted by Ashley putting her hand up to stop her. She looked up and gave the zero gravity girl a sleepy smile as to not come off as rude.

"I'm sorry, I'm really tired... I'll catch you on Monday..." she said to the trio, her voice croaking from exhaustion. With that she proceeded to continue to walk toward the school building.

The three continued to look at her slowly make her way, "Oh I hope she's ok... she looks exhausted." Midoriya commented to his friends who gave him a small nod before they began to turn around.

This might be your only chance to make actual friends. The thought crossed Ashley's mind as she stopped in her tracks. Turning back towards them with slight hesitation she called out, "Actually..." this caught their attention, making them turn back towards her. "Are you guys busy tomorrow night?" she asked. The trio were a little surprised she was asking them about their weekend plans. They shared quick looks before shaking their heads at her. Ashley smiled at the young heroes feeling things fall into place. "Perfect."

Saturday night came along quickly. All the new students were enjoying their time with their families after a week away from them. Midoriya, Uraraka and Ida were leaving their homes at 8pm to meet up with Ashley who had invited them to some sort of hang out.

Back on Friday evening at the school gates

"perfect" Ashley smiled. "Meet me and this address at 8:30pm..." she started taking a piece of paper and pen from her backpack and scribbling down an address. She put out her arm to hand it over, "Anyone from class is welcome, let's just try not to tell any adults ot teachers about this?" she added, nervous on how they's react to her request.

The trio in front of her did meet her with confusion. "Wait...why?" Midoriya asked her, sceptic as to why it should be kept so quiet.

Ashley knew she'd be asked so she tried to explain herself as best she could, "I spend like 99% of my time with adults and teacher constantly telling me what to do..." she looked to the ground somewhat embarrassed at her feelings. "it would just be nice to forget it all for once." she finished. The three teens understood where she was coming from, they couldn't truly understand how she felt as they couldn't even imagine what it was like to be her. They all thought for a second before nodding at the girl. She smiled back at them, "Amazing... and truly anyone from class is welcome. I'll see you tomorrow." she said trailing off as she walked away.

Back to the present

Midoriya, Uraraka and Ida met up near the location Ashley had asked them to meet her. Looking at his phone Midoriya pointed towards the docks in front of them, "Apparently it's over there..." The other two looked over and followed their friends towards the dimly lit docks, looking around to catch sight of their new classmate. She was nowhere to be seen, they started wondering she had given them the wrong address or something.

"I don't like this..." Uraraka commented looking around at the dark corners.

"Yeah this is a little weird... she said she'd be here." Midoriya added.

"It's 8:30 on the dot, she could just be late." Ida contributed. His two friends nodded agreeing that could be the case. Just then they heard quick footsteps approaching them, they turned back to where they came from and saw three figures running towards them. As the ran into the light it was revealed to be Ashley, Kirishima and Mina.

"Hey guys!" Kirishima called out, the three finally reaching the others.

"Hey, we were getting worried we were in the wrong place or something." Midoriya said.

Ashley shook her head, "No no, it's the place." she said, nodding her heard to the right to indicate they should walk.

As they walked deeper within the plot where the docks were they noticed it getting darker, with less street lights. "W-why did we have to meet here? It's so dark..." Uraraka commented.

"Trust me it's better this way. My parents would kill me if they found out that I snuck out..." she laughed to herself. They finally came to a stop when Ashley reached out to flip a switch that was just on the inside of one of the storage buildings. Midoriya, Uraraka and Ida's eye widened at what they saw. The storage building had been redecorated into a a hang out liar sort of spot. The room wasn't much bigger than a standard classroom, with sofa cushions on the floor to provide seating. Several old simple shelves lined the back of the room with books, games and random nick-nacks.

"Welcome to our humble abode." Ashley said in sing song tone as she walked into the room followed by Kirishima and Mina. Mina ran towards on of the cushions and plopped herself down, grabbing a magazine from the side table.

"This is insane." Midoriya commented, looking around himself finding different features of the room that were fascinating.

"Thanks." Ashley responded as if it were a compliment. "Come on, take a seat." she invited her new friends and they followed suit.

They spent their time talking and playing around with the objects in the den. It was getting late when Midoriya decided he was comfortable enough at ask Ashley something he had been wondering for a while.

"Ashley..." he started, earning her attention. "...earlier you said that your parents would be angry if they caught you out? I thought Ka-chan's parents were quite easy going with this sort of thing?" he asked. The mood in the room dropped to unease very quickly and Kirishima and Mina looked ay their friend who was trying to figure out a way to respond quickly. The tense feeling left her shoulders as she looked at the green haired boy.

"Katsuki and I don't have the same parents anymore..." she started the three in front of her feeling their curiosity grow. Ashley sighed, knowing she'd have to give more information. "We were separated when we were five... it was getting difficult for them to raise me due to..." he hesitated before continuing, "...issues I was adopted by somebody else." she explained, not wanting to go into much detail.

"Oh I'm sorry I brought it up." Midoriya apologised.

Ashley shook her head to signal that it was ok, "No no it's fine, I'm just not used to talking about it, I guess." she explained, reassuring the young hero.

"Is that why Ka-chan doesn't seem too happy about you being in the same class?" He added to his questioning. Kirishima and Mina looked at their friend with increasingly worried looks on their faces.

Ashley nodded once again, "Kinda, he doesn't really know why I left and we weren't allowed ever speak to each other, that was one of the conditions of my adoption." The three were lost for words. This explained a lot about why Bakugo treated her the way he did. Not knowing what to say they sat in silence.

DONG DONG DONG

The sound of the town clock tower went to signify the stroke of midnight. The sound woke them from their quiet trance and they started moving.

"We should probably head home, it's kinda late." Uraraka said standing up with her two friends.

Ashley nodded at them and also stood up with Mina and Kirishima by her side. "You guys go ahead, I have some things to find and take home." she said. After they said their goodbyes Ashley watched as her five friends walked away, into the darkness of the night. When she was sure they were gone she took a couple steps out of the den, her expression changed from a happy and calm one to smirking, as if she knew a secret.

"You know if you wanted to hang out with us it would have been a lot better to just come in." she called out, still looking towards where her friends had gone. Out of the shadows to her left emerged Todoroki. He knew that she knew he'd been here for a while and knew she'd probably confront him about it. She wasn't angry though, she was amused.

"How long have you known I was there?" he asked her walking to her but stopping just a few feet away.

She turned first her head then her whole body to face him, "You forget my quirk, trust me you might hands down the quietest to everyone out here, but I heard you walking up a mile away." she told him.

"I was invited, I didn't follow you guys." he said thinking she was wondering how he knew about the meet up.

She nodded back at him slowly with a faint smile on her lips. "I know... quirk, rememberer?" she said pointing at her head. He knew what she meant, he had a faint idea of her quirk from when they were children but he didn't know the specifics.

After a short awkward silence Todoroki decided it was his cue to leave. "I'll be going, sorry for seeming creepy or whatever." he said turning away from her and starting to walk away.

"Next time you should actually join us, you might enjoy it." she offered to him, which made him stop in his tracks. "Also..." she started, making him turn towards her ever so slightly to listen to her. "Thank you, for not saying anything so far. I kinda want to try and be as normal as possible for as long as possible." she told him. He said nothing back, instead he just gave her a subtle nod of the head before walking away again.

Ashley stood alone at the doorway, still looking in the direction where Todoroki had just left. Her look of worry returned as she took a deep breathe in and a long sigh out.

"Well this is just inconvenient." she said to herself before shutting the lights off and sliding the door closed. Tomorrow was the last day of rest before she'd have to go back and help train the students at UA.

The next chapter is going to be be up pretty soon :) Let me know what you think!
