The next day was due to be a full day of practical hero training. As they all got onto the bus one by one in their hero costumes the excitement increased. Ashley was taking names with Ida at the bus door as people got on. They had gotten through over half the students when she saw his name on the sheet. She looked up to lock eyes with the half and half boy just for a split second, it was short enough for nobody to notice when both of them abruptly stopped mid breathe. Once their stares left each other he boarded the bus. She sighed knowing this was going to be a tough day. Once everybody had boarded she took her place beside her homeroom teach and basically her boss, who was already sat with his arms crossed and eyes closed. As he felt the girl sit next to him he peeped at her with one eye. She looked lost in thought, she had been like that for a while now.

"What's wrong?" he asked, actually sounding concerned.

Ashley shook her head as she looked outside the window while the bus started moving. "It's nothing." she whispered just loud enough for him to hear. He didn't buy it, but he knew her enough that if there was something dire she would speak up.

The bus arrived quickly to the training grounds also known as USJ, a few of the students got excited they got to train in a facility heroes also train in from time to time and they also met space hero: Thirteen. Ashley hung back, feeling she felt her energy suddenly leave her, as Aizawa stepped forward to join Thirteen at the front of the class.

"Today you'll be training your abilities to deal with disaster zones to minimise further destruction during hero work." Thirteen announced. The excitement in the room was very apparent and the students could barley contain themselves. Kirishima turned around to look for his friend to give her an encouraging look, but he saw the girl wincing in the back holding a hand to her head.

"Hey, what's up?" he whispered to her as he snuck his way to her.

She could barely open her eyes but she turned to him as much as she could, "Just a headache." she whispered back to him. He wasn't convinced.

At the front of the group, Aizawa stepped forward towards the students, "Ok then spl-" he started.

He was interrupted by meeting Ashley's gaze that had raised from the ground to meet him. Her eyes wide, not in fear but in shock, her breathing almost stopped completely.

"Something's here." she said and almost on cue all the lights and animated features in the facility turned off. The students looked around themselves in fear, the light from the glass top still allowing everything to be seen.

Down on the grounds, where the fountain only seconds ago was streaming water, a blackhole opened up. Aizawa sensed the change in atmosphere as he turned to look down at it, his gaze met with a crowd of bloodthirsty eyes which emerged from the blackhole.

"Thirteen! Look after the students!" he yelled as he prepped himself to descend onto the grounds.

The students themselves were confused as to what was happening, was this part of the lesson? Midoriya went to take a step forward to try and see what had gotten his teacher so worked up.

"Don't move!" Aizawa ordered, making them all stay frozen. He put on his googles to access the situation. "Those are villains." he said, causing all the students to react in shock and fear. "So yesterdays incident was the work of these scumbags after all." The students were all still frozen on the spot at the sight of at least 30 villains coming out of the portal; these were real villains, the kind real heroes fight against and the current ratio was 2:30 as far as pro heroes currently present went.

"Thirteen, begin the evacuation. Kaminari, Use your quirk to send a message to the school." Aizawa ordered.

"You're not doing this alone." Ashley stepped up to her teacher with the most serious look any of them had ever seen on her face.

Without taking his gaze off the villains and without hesitating he responded, "You're still underage and off duty." she looked at him knowing what he was going to tell her. "If you fatally injure anyone you'll be in serious trouble." he warned her. She knew the price of using her quirk when not aided by her bosses. As frustrating as it was he was right, she couldn't do much.

"Help Thirteen with the evacuation. Get the other pros here." he told her, she gave in knowing her situation and nodded at him before he jumped down from the platform. Ashley knew he could deal with it alone but he shouldn't have to.

"Let's go. Everyone out." she ordered turning around and walking through the group of students who didn't move to begin with. Ashley whipped back at them, "Let's go!" she yelled and this time the students moved from their spots. It didn't take two seconds of them walking towards the door for a blackhole similar to the one that had opened down on the grounds. This time the dark void turned into a half noticeable human shape. Ashley put her arm out to stop the rest of the class from walking forward. What is this? She thought to herself.

"We are the League of Villains. We have come to break the symbol of peace and end his reign." the mass of darkness announced.

"Like hell!" Ashley heard a male voice from behind her called out. No.

Not a second later Ashley's peripheral vision was filled by the blinding light of an explosion. No.

Bakugo and Kirishima had jumped up ahead to confront the villain causing a massive blast that caused a large amount of debris to scatter. Ashley shielded herself and what happened next didn't seem to last a split second. The second the debris cleared the villain spread out and Ashley fell to the ground as she was being blown away, but she held on. She watched as her classmates disappeared into the darkness one by one. Her eyes widened.

"Ashley!" She heard a child's voice call out. "Ashley!" Once again, she tried to ignore it. "Ashley!"

Everything went dark. She found herself in a place of unlimited emptiness. She breathing echoed into nothing. She found herself out of breathe and confused with the environment. How did she get here? Where was everyone?

"How adorable..." a creepy and slimy voice commented. It sent chills up her whole body. She looked around herself frantically, but nothing to be seen. She was taught from a young age how to keep calm in unknown situations, silver lining of her intense training as a child, but this was different. "Pathetic really." the voice said once more, this time the sound came form right behind her ear. The moment she whipped around to see what was behind her she was back at the USJ grounds. What? She asked herself as she looked around at all her classmates fighting on different zones of the facility. They were pretty beat up, how long had she been gone for? She turned around on herself to see All Might behind her fighting with some weird monster looking creature.

"Look out!" She heard a familiar call out; and she was instantly pulled to the ground with great strength that sent her and the person who had thrown themselves at her rolling across the floor. She felt an arm around her as they tumbled and came to a stop. Her eyes met those same dual coloured ones that had caused her so much confusion recently. Too confused by the situation to realise the compromising position they were in; when they had stopped the half and half boy had ended up laying on top of her, faces barely an inch apart. For that one second their breathing and heartbeats were the only audible sound.

They quickly snapped out of their trance remembering the fighting around them. The two quickly got to their feet and prepared themselves for any possibly attack. "Where have you been?" he asked her half whispering sounding slightly annoyed.

Ashley was still confused as to what had happened. "I-I have no idea..." she started which made Todoroki look at her in confusion. "I was up there with you guys a second ago then I was... somewhere else and now I'm here." she explained.

"What? We were all separated at least 20 minutes ago." he turned to her. Her head was going to explode, too much had happened so fast but apparently it hadn't been as fast as she thought. She assessed the situation. All Might was near them fighting the creature, around them she saw Midoriya, Kirishima and her brother, a few student were still fighting on distant areas and then her eyes made contact with Aizawa's motionless body being held up by Tsuyu and Mineta just a few feet away from them near the boys.

Without thinking she ran to him. No.

"No no no no no." she hoped he was still alive which was confirmed once she got to him and she could hear his subtle breathing and she kneeled in front of him. She reached up to cup his face to try and see if he was awake. She turned to see All Might struggling to keep up with the creature, it was inhuman attacking like a brainless beast in a frenzy. She had to do something.

She turned back to Aizawa her face showing the need for him to hear her in this moment. She placed her hand on his head, just her fingertips touching his forehead. "You need to listen to me." she spoke looking at him with severe desperation. The two students holding him up watched as she continued to speak to their passed out teacher. "You need to unlock me." she told him as if he was conscious of her voice. "If you don't I'm going to have to bypass it and you know it's going to be so much worse." she kept on speaking. The boys who had previously been helping All Might caught up to her, including her brother who held back from the scene.

"Ashley..." Kirishima said, concerned about his friend.

"Please." she continued to her teacher, who all of a sudden seemed to react to her request and opened his eyes just enough to see the girl in front of him. The students around them apart from Bakugo all were shocked that he had the energy as they watched him raised his arm up to place his index finger in the middle of her forehead. She became emotionless.

"Go." he barely said in a breaking voice before passing out again.

Ashley's eyes glowed bright white as she slowly stood up. Her previously emotionless face turned to one filled with anger but showed a sarcastic smile. She raised her arms up to her sides and she turned around to the last few villains who were running towards them. Before she stepped forward she smiled. "Oh, it's over for you bitches." she stated before walking forward with purpose. She moved her arms outward and the villains were sent flying to the other side of the main grounds. The students behind her stared in awe; they hadn't see or been told about her quirk so this was the first time most of them had seen it in action.

"Woah..." Midoriya let out in complete shock.

"Badass..." Uraraka added.

They watched as she floored them all before being charged at by the creature. She smiled again, "I don't think so." she commented moving her right arm forward as if she were pushing something, sending the monster flying backwards. Before it could hit the floor the same warp villain appeared in its path and removed it from the situation. Ashley watched as the villain remained in its portal form and a figure revealed itself from behind it. Ashley froze. It can't be. The man, whose extremely skinny pasty body was covered in hands. No. Her eyes went back to normal from the bright lights. The man faced her from the other side of the room and before stepping into the portal she whispered to himself, "Got you.". He was gone.

Ashley's reaction would make you think she he hear him, and she had.

"Ash!" Kirishima's voice broke her from her trance and she turned back to her friends making contact with her passed out teacher again.

"Dad!" she shouted in worry as he was back on the floor.

"Dad?!" her classmates all asked, shocked.

Ashley kneeled down by Aizawa and she examined his wounds. They were deep, his arms were destroyed and his head had endured a lot of trauma. "Call an ambulance!" she ordered generally as she tried to stop the bleeding from his head. Ida turned to run to get help when he met the gazes of all the pro hero teachers staring down at them. Ashley looked up and looked eyes with Midnight and her body relaxed while simply mouthing the words "I'm sorry".

Most of the students had been sent home after tending to their minor injuries. Ashley had gone to the hospital with her father and refused to leave his side. Midoriya and the others had insisted on waiting but Ashley refused to have them wait around. They didn't ask questions about the sudden reveal of their homeroom teacher being her father, it was not the time. They had left her to be at her father's side knowing she'd probably want a quiet night.

She was sitting up on the armchair in the corner of her father's hospital room with her legs up gathers on the chair. The rain outside matched the mood perfectly. She heard sounds coming from her father which stirred her from her light sleep state.

"Hey..." she said concerned that he would try to move.

He could just about open his eyes to look at her. She looked exhausted and very uncomfortable. "You should go home... I'm going to be here for a while." he couldn't speak normally from the drugs and the fact he'd just being crumpled up like a sheet of paper. Ashley looked back at her dad and smiled as she shook her head.

"It's fine, it's only eight pm." she assured her dad, too worried for him to leave him. Aizawa sighed at his adoptive daughters hardheadedness but before he could insist a soft knock came at the door.

"Come in." Ashley said thinking she would see a doctor or nurse but she was surprised when she saw Todoroki standing there. She didn't say anything but just looked at him; after a few moments of uncomfortable silence Todoroki spoke up.

"I was just checking how you were both doing." he said looking at the girl sat in the corner unaware his teacher was awake. Ashley nodded back and smiled back at him softly.

"Todoroki..." his teacher groaned out as he turned to look at him. "...please take Ashley home." he asked his student.

"Dad it's fine." she reassured her father shaking her head slowly.

"I'll still be here in the morning, go home, get some sleep." He was right, if she stayed she wouldn't have slept.

She sighed as she moved up from the chair giving up, "OK, fine. But I'll be back in the morning." she told Aizawa as she took a couple steps towards him. He simply nodded back before closing his eyes, his energy leaving him.

Ashley turned to look at the boy in the doorway who averted his eyes the second he locked eyes with her, as if he'd gotten an electric shock. Unnoticeably, she swallowed the lump in her throat before walking out of the doorway, following her classmate.

In the lobby she was shocked to see somebody she'd never expected to see, her brother. He was stood by the main doors of the hospital with his arms crossed and usual confrontational deminer he always had. She really didn't want to deal with any of his smartassiness right now so she chose not to stop and walked out the doors following Todoroki.

"Looks like your 'dad' ain't as good as you thought." he stabbed at her, making her stop in her tracks. Todoroki heard her and turned to face her, she looked ready to explode but she composed herself before she turned to her brother.

"Get your head out your ass, Katsuki." she said, the bitterness and frustration so apparent he wasn't expecting it. With that said Ashley turned back to continue walking home with Todoroki. Bakugo was still surprised at his sister's reaction to his words and took him a while to snap out of it, watching his sister walk away.

The walk back to Ashley's home, which she shared with her adoptive father, wasn't too long; but they remained in complete silence the whole way, side by side under each of their umbrellas. They had both thought about breaking the silence multiple times but found comfort in the quiet. The home was on the school premises, as the students lived in so did the teachers. There wasn't a soul around as school had been cancelled for the rest of the week due to the attack. They approached the small two floor house at the back of the school, the rain had picked up even more. Todoroki had stopped a couple steps behind Ashley.

"Get some rest." he told her, the first words she'd heard him speak since they were at the hospital. Without turning round to him she nodded, not speaking a word. He took this as his sign to go so he turned on his heals to start walking home. Only a few steps in he heard the sound of something light hit the ground. He swiftly turned around half expecting to she her on the ground again. She had let go of the umbrella and was standing in the pouring rain. Todoroki frowned wondering what happened but before he could move or say anything Ashley quickly turned to face him, knowing he had stopped. Her face looked as if something had cleared in her mind and without thinking she closed the few steps between them. Fully knowing what she was doing, just before she got to him, he dropped his umbrella and raised his arms ever so slightly to hold her and she slung her arms around his neck and clashed her lips with his. The world stopped. No attack, no dad in hospital. Just them soaked in the rain kissing, like normal teenagers. The feeling if his lips was warm against her cold face, his quirk did come in handy sometimes. She didn't miss the spark of flames that he produced the second they clashed. Both of them not wanting the moment to end as they held each other tighter and tighter as if they were dying and this was the only way to survive.

When they parted slowly for they softly looked into each other's eye. They weren't going to lie to themselves and not think that in the whole ten years they hadn't thought of this exact moment.

"Stay." she said to him, almost pleading him, which she didn't even have to do. Instead of responding in words he simply took one last look at the soaked blonde girl he was still holding and closed the gap once more, this time the passion took over. As they stumbled into the home, struggling to make their way through to the girl's room; Ashley being moved backwards, lead by the boy.

With everything that happened that day, this was what they needed. They needed to be with each other. Clothes were thrown across the floor and furniture was knocked over but nothing was going to stop them from living in this moment. After a while of just being with each other the most comforting thing to them was that the other was there.
