Chapter 13: The Consequences

"Norma…..Norma are you alright? How many fingers am I holding up?" an echoing voice. Norma's eyesight was extremely blurry and she could barely make out anything but a few blotched colours here and there.

"I don't think she will recover that quickly, the poor girl was impaled mind you" said another voice that clearly belonged to Blair.

"She could have avoided being stabbed if she had just laid low" Blair voice continued

"I didn't see you trying to help, you dick!" said a familiar voice that was unmistakably Sophie's

"That's right, on that account alone I should gut you with my bare hands!" came Eli's voice with an aggressive tone

"Eli, stop it I think she is coming to" Rezeal said as he sounded closer than Sophie did

Norma slowly opened her eyes to a flutter as she tried to concentrate her eyesight. The last thing she remembered was being impaled in the chest by a psychotic Black Yautja and considering that she didn't feel that bad.

"Hi guys…what the hell happened?" Norma asked as she looked around the room she was lying in. her vision cleared slowly as she blinked a few times and saw the form of Sophie looming over her, along with the massive form of Rezeal kneeling by her side with Dexter perched on his shoulder. As she got up into a sitting position she saw Eli with his hand wrapped tightly around Blair's throat.

'At least he isn't dangling him in the air' Norma thought

"Don't over exert yourself Norma, take it easy and take slow breaths" Rezeal advised with a large armoured hand on her shoulder.

"Did…..did I get stabbed?" Norma asked

"Yeah you did, and it was a pretty nasty wound" Sophie replied

"How am I alive? I should have bled to death pretty quickly and you can't treat a wound to save your life Soph" Norma said

"It's all thanks to Eli over there Norma. If he hadn't arrived in time we would both be dead" Sophie said with a smile

"Yeah, he didn't arrive in time to stop you getting impaled, but if he hadn't transplanted his blood into you, we wouldn't be having this conversation" Rezeal explained

"His blood?" Norma asked

"Kamad blood thankfully works on human biology as well, everything in our biology can regenerate tissue and Eli's blood is the most effective of all" Rezeal said

"Why is his blood so effective?" Norma's inner scientist asked

"Eli is a member of the royal family and is for all intense and purposes his biology is superior to other Kamads like me, this means he can punch harder, move faster and heal faster" Rezeal explained further

"What would have happened if you used your blood?" Sophie asked

"Norma wouldn't have healed fast enough and would have most likely died" Rezeal explained with a grim look

Only then did Norma grasp what Eli had done for her, up to this point he came across as a short tempered and grim man whom killing came easy to.

And he just saved her life

Norma looked at Eli as he had his golden reptilian eyes fixed on Blair with a clawed hand wrapped firmly around his throat. Norma tried to get to her feet and to her surprise didn't feel any pain in the slightest, in fact she felt stronger than before and not weak in the slightest.

"Uh Norma? Are you alright? Do you feel dizzy or anything?" Sophie asked

"No…I feel fine…..better than fine in fact I feel amazing!" Norma smiled as Dexter leapt onto her shoulder and began nuzzling her face.

"Must be the Kamad blood in your veins" Rezeal said

"Whatever it is I feel great!" Norma said with a cheery tone before she directed her attention back to Eli who still had his hand around Blair's throat and instantly remembered something.

She couldn't let Eli hurt the man…even if he was a dick

"Eli let him go" Norma ordered as she marched up to the large Kamad

"Why should I? This cowardly shit hid while Sophie almost got raped and you nearly died" Eli growled

"There was nothing he could do, just look at him. He could hardly put up a fight against those guys" Norma reasoned with the huge alien samurai

"She's right. How could I fight those things? What did you want me to do?" Blair said in his defence

"You could have grew a fucking pair for starters" Eli growled at the trembling human

"Eli" Norma spoke in a clear voice averting Eli's attention from Blair towards her.

"Please…..let him go" Norma spoke with the upmost kindness and gentleness as she placed her soft hands on the Kamad's armoured claws

Eli released his iron grip on the human's throat and huffed as he did. Blair fell down to the floor holding his throat; he rubbed his throat as it was beginning to bruise again.

'This is the second fucking time this thing has nearly choked me' Blair thought as he slowly got to his feet.

"This is your last chance Blair, do this again and I won't hesitate in tearing you apart" Eli growled deeply at the human before walking over to Rezeal.

(He had better fucking watch himself from now on, I'm on the brink of my patience with this asshole) Eli spoke in Kamad to Rezeal

(What in the nine hells has you so riled up? I have never seen you this pissed off) Rezeal replied putting a hand on Eli's shoulder

(This whole situation Rez, I can't keep a cool head when we have to drag this pissy arsehole around with us) Eli replied

(As your soldier I suggest we keep moving….but as your friend I suggest you secure this shit and stop acting like a child) Rezeal said sternly to his fellow elite

(You know I could have you killed for saying less than that) Eli said with a serious tone

(You don't have the balls mate) Rezeal chuckled as did Eli before they became serious again.

(So….about Norma?) Rezeal asked

(What about her?) Eli replied with a serious look

(Do you think your blood might have…..you know….side effects on her?) Rezeal asked in a whisper as he glanced at Norma from over Eli's shoulder

(I have no idea, Kamad blood only has the most minor of side effects on other species. But my blood is more concentrated than normal Kamad blood, and humans aren't exactly any other species given their origins) Eli whispered back

(You don't possibly think that…)

(I'm not sure what to think Rez, let's just hope that all my blood does is give her a boost) Eli said as the two Kamads nodded in agreement. But just as the two were about to go back to the others something buzzed in Eli's coat, the white haired Kamad reached into his coat and pulled out what caused the buzzing.

The severed right arm of Tra'kan

"What the hell?" Norma asked as she walked up to the Kamads along with Sophie and Blair.

Eli typed a few buttons and keys on the wrist computer on the severed Yautja arm and soon his efforts were rewarded with the sound of a Yautja voice from the other end

"Tra'kan, what the hell is taking you? Tell me, have you taken their heads yet?" said the voice on the other end in Yautja

"I'm afraid your boy failed in that regard, and I think he may have to learn to write left handed from now on" Eli responded into the wrist computer.

There was a pause before the voice replied

"Who is this?" the voice replied surprisingly this time in perfect English

"Oh so you speak English? Great I find speaking in Black Yaujtish to be very displeasing to my mandibles" Eli replied

"So….you are one of the Kamads on board the ship? Well I should have expected Tra'kan would underestimate you, what is your name?" the Black Yautja asked

"My name is Eli, and who the hell are you?" Eli asked back

"I am High Elder Ma'zax of the Black Yautja Sovereign's 22nd War Fleet, but you can simply call me Ma'zax" Ma'zax replied with a courteous and polite tone that was extremely rare for a Black Yautja.

"I wish I could say it's a pleasure meeting you but it would be a fucking lie if I did" Eli replied

"I almost forgot how pompous you Kamads could be. You pride yourselves on being superior and high and mighty but you aren't any better than any other species that has crawled out of the primordial muck" Ma'zax replied

"I don't have to take shit talk from an honourless bastard like you" Eli replied

"There you go again, you Kamads think we Black Yautja are all the same. I am one of the few decent Black Yautja you will ever meet" Ma'zax shot back

"What in the nine hells are Black Yautja doing on a human ship like this?" Eli demanded

"I'm afraid it's for me to know and for you to find out….if you live long enough that is" Ma'zax finished before the wrist computer began fizzing and sparking, Eli had been around enough to know that wasn't a good sign

"RUUUN!" he shouted at them as he threw the severed arm away.

Norma and Sophie ran into a sprint and Rezeal had to grab Blair because he wasn't running as fast as the former. Eli ran as well and the five barely managed to get out of the blast range of the wrist detonator.

Eli was in the rear and the shockwave gave off by the detonator threw him a few metres through the air. Though his Kamad agility allowed him to gracefully land on his feet leaving two foot dents in the floor.

"Great now they got even more of a reason to kill us" Blair moaned as Rezeal put him down

"Think first dumbass, now that dickhead knows that we don't know what he is up to, that means he won't have any real reason to kill us" Sophie replied with an annoyed tone

"That's not strictly true Sophie" Eli said as he joined the others brushing dust off his coat.

"What?" Sophie asked, confused by what Eli was saying

"I'm not leaving this ship until I find out what the hell they are up to" Eli said

"Fuck that, we have to get the hell off this hellhole as soon as we can" Blair interjected

"I didn't say we" Eli replied as he began walking in a different direction from where they began walking

"Wait….Eli are you….are you leaving us?" Norma asked

"I'm sure Rezeal can take care of you on the way to the ship. I have to do this myself" Eli said as he didn't break his pace.

"Eli, you can't just leave us" Norma said

"I'm not leaving you, Rezeal is fully capable of fighting off any Black Yautja that track you down" Eli responded

"Black Yautja aren't the only things on this ship Eli" Norma reminded the Towering Kamad causing him to stop in his tracks.

Eli pondered Norma's words and found them to be true. Black Yautja were one thing but the creatures on board this ship would probably need both Rezeal and Eli to take care of them, like their previous encounter with the Skarnak.

Eli sighed and turned around with his hands on his waist. He looked at Norma in the eyes and remembered his Father's words on that night, eight hundred years ago. It was his duty as the next emperor to protect those who couldn't protect themselves and right now, these three humans were those people and as an Elite he had to perform his duties.

"Alright…..alright fine" Eli said to Norma who smiled

"But as soon as I get you three to the ship I'm heading straight back to what I was doing to begin with alright?" Eli said earning a nod of approval from Norma

"That's fine with me" Norma said with a tone and look that made Eli feel strange.

"Alright then…let's….let's get going" Eli said

'What the hell was that? Something inside me just…..must have been stomach acid or something' Eli thought as proceeded to walk with the others. Today was going to be a long day indeed.

Meanwhile on another level of the ship, two unlikely allies where walking side by side. The Yautja Huntress known as Sha'ra and the Myrmidon Major known as Erik Reaver. The two had decided that it was probably best that they travel with each other in order to avoid any Xenomorphs or other hideous creatures having an advantage of numbers or strength over them.

The two had also agreed upon the fact that when they re-joined their respective groups, that they would work together to achieve a common goal.

At the moment the two were walking through a dimly lit hallway that didn't do anything to affect their vision as Sha'ra had her mask attached and Erik had his helm on the night vision setting.

Erik had his pulse rifle leaned on his left shoulder leaving his other arm free while Sha'ra had her Glaive folded up in her right hand. Sha'ra was on Erik's right and they were trying their best to enjoy an exchange of information.

"Black Yautja eh?" Erik asked

"Yes, they have plagued my people for as long as I can imagine, have your people heard of them?" Sha'ra asked back

"Well, to be completely honest the general human populace wouldn't know about them. But since I'm a Myrmidon Major I have heard of one such encounter" Erik said before being asked a question by the Huntress.

"A Major?" she asked

"Is that a….high rank?" the she-Yautja asked

"It's relatively high for a normal human but since I am a Myrmidon my rank bears more weight…so yes it is a high rank" Erik replied

"I see, go on" the Huntress said

"There was once such encounter before the wars with your people, only two survivors of a so called hunting planet. The survivors were a man and woman and they managed to escape the place through what they described as 'unusual circumstances'" Erik said earning a tilted head from Sha'ra

"They said that it was best that they didn't tell anyone how they escaped that place. Though I think it had something to do with members of your species, seeing that they mentioned that one of your people helped them within the first week of their time on the world" Erik finished up

"Sounds interesting, what were these human's names?" Sha'ra asked

"Umm….I recall their names where….Isabela and…..oh god it's on the tip of my tongue…..Royce I think" Erik replied rummaging through his memories

"They must have been quite the survivalists, I have been to a hunting planet on one or two occasions in fact" Sha'ra said

"Really? What are they used for exactly?" Erik asked. His knowledge on aliens was completely based on Xenomorphs and he wasn't exactly an expert on Yautja so he was anxious to learn more from Sha'ra

"Hunting planets are used solely by the Black Yautja to hone their skills as hunters. They fill the planets up with whatever they class as worthy game from other worlds and hunt them down. I find the practice disgusting and honourless" Sha'ra spat at the end of the sentence

"Honourless…why?" Erik asked

"They have no respect or the hunt; they refuse to hunt their prey on equal grounds and will fight those weaker than them without remorse" Sha'ra said with a tone full of hate

"Fucking cowards, I can see why you would hate them" Erik muttered, he would at least give his enemies a fighting chance when in combat.

"That and they committed mass genocide on my people" Sha'ra said

"Oh….I'm….I'm sorry" Erik said

"Don't be, you are probably the only human that is even aware of it" Sha'ra reassured

"By the way, I haven't heard much about Myrmidons, is it some sort of human breed?" Sha'ra asked as her uncle never mentioned such things as Myrmidons in his stories of the war between their races.

Erik on the other hand was surprised that she hadn't heard of the Myrmidons. They weren't exactly new by any standards as they existed before the war between the humans and Yautja. In fact the Myrmidons played a large part in the war as they were some of the only soldiers that could go hand to hand against a full grown Yautja hunter and win.

Back in the wars however the Myrmidon strain that was used to create Myrmidons was much more concentrated and had some bad long term side effects such as the loss of eyes and failure of internal organs later in life.

The strain used on Erik and his team was free of such side effects yet some higher up members of the Myrmidon chain of command still had remnants of the older strain still coursing through their veins.

"I'm surprised you don't know about us. No we aren't another breed of human, we are more like enhanced humans made to fight Xenomorphs" Erik explained

"Enhanced…how?" Sha'ra asked. Erik wondered whether it was ok to tell her how Myrmidon biology worked; he decided that to another species it wouldn't matter.

"Well we are enhanced through the use of the Myrmidon strain, it strengthens our muscles, improves blood flow and increases the stimulation of electrons in our brains, it also does a great job of converting fat into bone and muscle tissue and it is very good at increasing the reaction times of our nerve clusters" Erik explained

"What is this 'Myrmidon strain' anyway?" Sha'ra asked

"An interesting query indeed, we discovered the original source in the form of bacteria on a jungle world that we named 'Ares 5'. We called it that because the world was inhabited by these 7 foot long animals we called 'Chimeras' after the mythological creatures. They had armour hides that would withstand heavy gunfire and the acidic effects of even Xenomorph blood" Erik explained before looking at Sha'ra

"Are you following me so far?"

"I have heard of these creatures, my people have hunted them in the past and they are quite formidable in packs, please go on" Sha'ra nodded

"The Chimeras were so powerful because they fed on plants that held the bacteria we designated 'God Blood'. The bacteria was very potent of increasing the vitality of life in biological organisms to a point where they would mutate and become stronger" Erik said

"Our government harvested these plants in mass quantities and concentrated the bacteria into what we dubbed the Myrmidon strain. The plants weren't the only thing we harvested as Myrmidon armour is comprised of the armoured hide of the Chimeras" Erik finished

"Wow that is very interesting. The life of a Myrmidon must be an interesting one" Sha'ra stated

"It has its moments" Erik said with a grin behind his faceplate

"Do you have any family? Anything to return to?" Sha'ra asked

Erik stopped in his tracks causing Sha'ra to stop. Due to his glowing red visor being in the way, Sha'ra couldn't see the expression on his face thus confusing her.

"I….no I don't" Erik said before he went back to walking at his normal pace again, Sha'ra stood in place as the Myrmidon walked past her and simply stared at him in thought for a moment before keeping pace with him.

"What about you?" Erik asked

"I have a younger brother and an uncle" the Huntress said

"And a mother and father?"

"no….once perhaps but….that was in the past"

"I'm sorry"

"It's fine, it's not anyone's fault"

"It's just….I know what it's like to lose someone that close to you" Erik said putting a hand on the Huntress' shoulder

"Could…..could we perhaps change the subject?"

"Of course, I understand it's getting a tad depressing" Erik reassured her, taking his hand off her shoulder.

"Anything you want to ask that won't bring up anything awkward or depressing?"

"No, no I'm fine"

"Come on, there has to be something you want to ask. It can't be every day you get to talk to a Yautja" Sha'ra said

"Well, there is something…no, no it's fine" Erik said shaking his head

"Please go ahead"

"I don't want to offend you by mistake or anything"

"Go ahead; if your question by any chance offends me I will be sure to tell you"

"Ok….why are you so short?" Erik asked

"…..excuse me?" Sha'ra replied after an awkward pause

"I haven't met a lot of Yautja, I know, but I thought females were supposed to be around the same height as the males, but you're shorter than I am. I just wanted to know if that was the case" Erik said with a somewhat apologetic tone.

"It's a genetic condition, I was born like this. It's much like what you humans would call Dwarfism except my limbs are still in proportion to the rest of me" Sha'ra explained

"I see, well I can imagine growing up must have been a little rough with a condition like that" Erik assumed

"It was, but it could have been way worse. I belong to a clan that is more…excepting than other clans" Sha'ra said

"I see how many clans are there?"

"Well over 50 by my count" Sha'ra said

These two had to admit that they were enjoying the company of one another. Erik had never thought he would enjoy conversing with a Yautja, and we never would have thought he would meet a female of the species. But Sha'ra was a great conversational companion and acted more human than Erik would have thought.

Sha'ra also didn't expect this sort of conversation from a human either and was honest to god surprised. Her uncle had always told her that humans weren't to be trusted and were unintelligent brutes with no senses of remorse or fair play. But Erik came across as an honourable and intelligent man who seemed to have experience in these types of situations.

"Erik?" Sha'ra asked

"Yes Sha'ra?" Erik replied

"What is earth like?" the Huntress asked

"I'm sorry?" Erik replied confused why a Yautja like Sha'ra would be interested in his home planet

"I was born before the war between our peoples, but I never had a chance to see or visit earth. All I have are stories from my uncle and other old hunters, but I have always wanted to know what it is like" Sha'ra explained with the upmost sincerity

"Ha…to be honest with you Sha'ra I have only a little bit more knowledge about earth as you do. I was born on an out world colony and have only seen images of earth through books and computer screens. I have never really been there" Erik said with a chuckle in his voice somewhat embarrassed with his limited knowledge of the planet he was born on.

"Well…if it's any consolation I have never seen my home planet either" Sha'ra said

"Really? And why is that? Hang on….is it because you hunters are always on the move?" Erik asked, assuming he knew enough by now

"No, the world most of our kind inhabits at the moment isn't our home planet" Sha'ra said

"Oh…I'm so..." Erik began until Sha'ra punched him in the arm

"I swear if you apologize again I'll be forced to knock your teeth out" Sha'ra said with a playful tone

The two then chuckled together at Sha'ra's playful jab. Erik did tend to be too apologetic at times especially when hearing other people's blights. The Myrmidon and the Yautja laughed at this fact and continued to walk down the hallway.

Hopefully they would meet up with their groups soon and hopefully put an end to the chaos that they had found themselves.

Meanwhile on the bridge of the Asclepheus, Ma'zax was sitting in the captain's chair with a fist to his chin. He was becoming immensely troubled with the incompetence of his hunters recently and was expecting Tra'kan to come barging in any minute, demanding a second chance to hunt down the Kamads.

He had a chance to reminisce on his talk with the Kamad on the other line. The tone of the Kamad's voice was superior and noble which may have been seen as common among Kamads as they were seen as pompous and snobby, but Ma'zax knew better and could tell that the Kamad he spoke to, this…Eli was different.

He just couldn't put his finger on what it was.

"GET THE PAUK OFF OF ME YOU SNIVELING WORM! I WIL BE FINE IF YOU KEEP YOUR PAUKING CLAWS OFF IT!" bellowed an angry voice from outside the room.

"It's about time" Ma'zax sighed as he closed his eyes. The sound of heavy footsteps, snarling and blood dripping on the floor got louder until they were in the room.

"My lord, he insisted on coming in without…" one of the hunters began until

"PAUK OFF! I JUST HAD MY CETANU DAMMED ARM CUT OFF! SO EXCUSE ME IF IM A LITTLE HASTEY!" Tra'kan bellowed at the hunter

"And why exactly have you returned in such a state?" Ma'zax asked as he rose calmly to his feet

"My lord, I…I ran into a spot of trouble with the hunt…many of my men are dead and I need…"

"A while ago I tried to contact you on your communicator" Ma'zax begun, Tra'kan's face then went to a look of fear

"And instead of hearing the news that I wanted to hear, you know 'My lord the Kamads are dead, we shall return shortly' I hear the news that my best hunter, a veteran of over 1000 years got his Pauking arm cut off and 25 Hunters under his command killed without any results to speak of…can you imagine the rage that is coursing through my veins after I put that much faith and consideration into your skills and all I get is failure?" Ma'zax spoke in an eerily calm tone

"My….my lord….I...I can explain" Tra'kan stuttered in fear

"Shhhhh, you just shut up right there" Ma'zax gestured with a finger, Tra'kan went silent and Ma'zax walked up in front of him. Tra'kan was still gripping the bleeding stump that used to be his right arm as luminescent green blood dripped on the floor below him.

"What would you do in my position Tra'kan? Would you forgive and forget? Or would you skin the bastard alive and tie his flayed carcass to the front of the ship? Answer me honestly" Ma'zax finshed his sentence with a deep rumbling growl.

Tra'kan remained silent like a child that just got scolded by his parents.

"You are lucky that your father and I were best friends. Otherwise your carcass would be on the exterior of the ship" Ma'zax growled, his face inches away from Tra'kan. The Elder huffed and turned away to walk over to the captain's chair he previously sat in.

"Get his arm replaced immediately, and spare no expense in the durability" Ma'zax ordered, the other Hunters nodding at his orders.

"And Tra'kan" Ma'zax called getting the Hunter's attention "Don't fail me again….my patience only goes so far" Ma'zax finished with a tone that sent a shiver crawling up Tra'kan's spine as he left.

"My lord, the hunting parties that you sent out a few hours ago are reporting back. They seem to have cleared out a good percentage of the levels and are camping down where they are for the night, though one of them hasn't responded at all" one of the Hunters announced to the Elder.

"Can I go through one day without something going wrong on this pauking ship?" Ma'zax cursed under his breath.

*a few moments prior to last scene

"WHERE THE PAUK ARE WE SUPPOSED TO BE!?" one Black Yautja hunter shouted at the others.

"Cetanu search me, I have no idea" the hunter leading the party muttered as they trudged through the dark hallway.

These hunters had been sent by Ma'zax to scout out the rest of the colossal ship. They had managed to reach some of the deeper confines of the ship and needless to say that even to highly trained Black Yautja it was unsettling. There were at least 6 hunters walking down the hallway and all of them were dressed in light armour, specifically designed for recon and scouting and wasn't really designed for combat or war.

"Lord Ma'zax said we may lose our way momentarily, this is a large ship after all" the hunter leading the party said

"Losing our way is one thing, but this is another thing entirely. I thought that we restored power to this level….I CAN HARDLY PAUKING SEE!" another hunter bellowed at the top of his lungs.

"Shhh! Keep your pauking voice down! There might still be more of those monstrosities left on board" the first hunter whisper shouted at the others

"Why did those pathetic Oomans put that many creatures on the ship anyway? It's not designed to be a Pauking enclosure!"

"Chances are they were stupid enough to think that….still, did you see some of the things they had?!"

"Yeah, some of those creatures are Pauking huge! Like that giant ape creature that we found on one of the higher decks! I would say it was about 50ft high!"

"Paya….imagine the skull from that!"

"I doubt it; it managed to get away from us after killing at least 20 hunters, not to mention none of our blades could pierce its hide…it had some kind of bone armour for Paya's sake!" the hunter at the back spoke erecting growls and snickers from some of the others.

"Oh Paya….now you have me wanting to go after it!" the lead hunter chuckled.

Unbeknownst to the Hunters, something had been following them through the shadows for a while now. One of the hunters at the back heard a slight shift in the tone of the room and felt something was watching him. He looked around and expected to see just some lose hanging wires and the same dark surroundings he had been subjected to for the past hour.

The other Black Yautja had walked out of ear range when suddenly two figures leapt from the shadows and leapt onto the Hunter. The first figure wrapped its arms around his throat while the other clawed at his knees, slicing them into ribbons.

Before the hunter got a chance to call out, the other figure snapped his neck and proceeded to drag his body into the shadows out of sight.

As the other hunters walked down the hallway, the lights only seemed to get darker and darker thus making it harder to see.

"Switch to thermals" the lead hunter said as the hunters put on their masks thus switching to the thermal vision that all hunters had been born with. Like the other Yautja they had learned that there were way more advantages to colour co-ordinated vision than thermal vision due to hunter past failures in hunts due to prey figuring out the faults and thus had their eyes genetically converted to colour.

"Paya, this place is cold" one hunter whispered as his vision was almost entirely blue

"Must be in the cooling units, not surprising since there isn't much activity here to begin with" the lead hunter said until he stepped on something that made an audible squelching sound.

The hunter bent down on one knee and wiped his hand on the floor, but when his hand made contact with the ground it became covered with a slimy, sticky substance. He instantly stood back up and reached for his combi-stick and warned the others.

"Oh Pauk! This isn't a cooling duct!" he said as he reached into his belt and pulled out a flare he had taken from the stores on the ship and lit it up.

Suddenly a red flare of light illuminated the entire room. It had ceased to look like the rest of the ship's interior as the walls were covered with a black organic resin that dripped with the same ooze that covered the floor.

The walls were also covered with thousands of human corpses, strung around the place in the most undignified of ways. Their bodies torn apart as if ravaged by wild animals that ate their fill before finishing their meals, some were missing their limbs, some had their faces and pieces of flesh torn off messily but all had the trademark birthing hole in the chest of the Xenomorph hosts.

Speaking of Xenomorphs the wall suddenly became vibrant with life of all shapes and sizes. Thousands of Xenomorphs emerged from holes in the walls and scurried around like insects, hissing and screeching at the hunters as they did.

Just as the hunters turned to get out of the hive they were met by the sight of five Xenomorphs that were extremely different than all the others in the hive. Two of them looked like the warrior breed while they were twice as large and had armoured carapaces and bladed head crests, their claws there thicker and their maws where wider and filled with rows of razor sharp teeth, not to mention the blades on their tales that where at least a foot long.

But the other three were more different from other Xenomorphs as they could possibly be.

Two of the creatures where obviously males and humanoid in appearance, but they were far from being considered anything but monsters. Their bodies had the same black armour that adorned the Xenomorphs in certain places such as the forearms, legs, chests and groin areas. A few noticeable traits were the scraps of a black rubbery material covering other areas of their bodies and the healed up scars on the centres of their chests.

Their eyes where completely black and lacked any life like the black visages of the Xenomorphs. The white human flesh of the males was still intact in places while black Xenomorph flesh was fused in places, most notably the head where the faces where still human while the nose, brow and upper lip intact while their lower jaws where those of Xenomorphs with the silver teeth sticking out.

The males also had Xenomorph claws on their hands and feet, with one having short black hair on his head while the other had shoulder length black hair. Both of these creatures where drooling just as much as the large Xenomorphs by their sides but the one that stood out of the bunch was the female in the middle of them.

Unlike the males, the black armour covering her body only served to highlight her womanly features. Her lower jaw was still intact while streams of black flesh covered her neck and seemed to crawl around the edges of her face.

Her eyes where completely black save for the yellow slits instead of pupils and her hair was now long, black with blonde streaks in it. Even though the males had slathering jaws and pitch black lifeless eyes, her yellow pupils and malicious grin were way more unsettling than any animalistic display the males could give. Not to mention the way that the two large Xenomorphs stayed right by her sides like hounds and how she gently dragged her talons across their head crests as if stroking them.

The lead Black Yautja growled as the female seemed to have her eyes fixed on him in particular.

"Demons" one of the hunters growled at the Human-Xenos. Not expecting to hear a reply from the female as she began to chuckle. Her chuckling by the way was that of a demoness as it sounded as if she was speaking with two voices, one being that of a human woman while the other had a low screeching tone like that of a Xenomorph.

"Sick em" she ordered causing every single Xenomorph in the room to charge at the Hunters, screeching and roaring as they scurried and leapt at the Black Yautja.

The hunters managed to hold their ground against the warriors and the drones but as soon as the two royal guards and the two male human Xenos attacked they were taken down one by one. The Xenos didn't kill the hunters but instead they incapacitated them by destroying their plasma casters, disarming them by throwing away their weapons and clawing at their arms and legs thus crippling them.

The two male human Xenos grabbed a hold of the lead Yautja and held him by his crippled arms as the female approached him. As she got in front of him, the Yautja expected her to gloat or insult him but she simply smiled as a Facehugger crawled up her legs and onto her waiting clawed hand.

He instantly went into panic as he knew what she was going to do with the creature and began to struggle against the hybrids holding him to no avail. This was only made worse when the female crouched in front of him and placed a hand on the side of his face gently like a mother would her child and began stroking him.

"Sleep my child" she said before she latched the Facehugger on the hunter's face silencing him and putting an end to his struggle.

The hive was growing and very soon it would have 5 new additions.
