Carisi and Rollins walked up to the building, searching for a possible suspect in their current case.

As they cross the street, Dominick Carisi reads off his phone "Gus Haverford he's 55 he's a senior VP at Morgan Stanley" Carisi shows Rollins the picture on his phone. "His office says he does noon hot yoga every day".

Amanda Rollins, finishing off her fries as they walk, "nice life, long lunches, workin out. He probably get a massage after".

Carisi shakes his head "Massages, I don't know, seems like a waste of time to me".

"You've obviously never had a good one". She retorts, the look on his face doesn't change, and she's incredulous, "You never had one at all"?? She asks.

She stores that info in the back of her mind as they continue working the case, but no matter how hard they try to get through, this kid won't turn on his dad. Benson convinces Stone they still have to try to get him out of that house but they fail.

This case hits Carisi hard, he'd tried a couple times to get the younger son to open up to him about what his dad had done, to no avail. The court eventually finds him not guilty.

Amanda is gathering her things to leave for the day after court when she notices Carisi isn't at his desk, but he never left either, or at least he never said goodbye, which is something he always did. She scans the squad room for him, and puts her stuff back down on her desk.

Not in the break room, she decides to look for him in the bunks. Carisi had never spent much time in there, but she'd looked everywhere else.

In the darkened room, Amanda could barely make out the seated form in the corner bunk holding his head in his hands.

"Hey", she spoke quietly as she closed the door behind her, "Dominick...what's goin on, you okay"?

He lifted his head to see it was Amanda, lowered it again, running his hands through his hair, clasping them behind his head. "Rollins. I'm fine. What're you still doing here"?

Amanda crossed the room and leaned on the bed next to him.

"Well I was about to leave but you disappeared"

He put his chin on his hands. "I tried Amanda...he just wouldn't...he was convinced his dad loved him, or at least he was clingin to that thought". Carisi trailed off, unable to talk. Amanda was worried about him.

"Shhh", she stepped next to him, and put her hand on his shoulder to console him. He'd taken off his jacket and vest. She could feel how tense he was.

"No one was going to convince him to turn in his dad, not even his own mother could", she patted his shoulder and Carisi leaned a little towards her but still had his elbows on his knees leaning forward. Amanda reached around to his other shoulder and started lightly working at the knots, he tensed up for a second but then she felt him exhale and relax into her.

Amanda massages Dominick's shoulders, even reaching under his shirt at one point, until she can feel most of the tension release.

Then all the sudden she realizes how intimate all this is and becomes self conscious. Her hands freeze in place under his shirt. She realizes how he had relaxed, if she stepped away right this second he would have fallen over. Not to mention she had her hands down her partners shirt massaging bare skin.

Carisi, eyes closed and lulled into a state of relaxation, made a sound in protest of her stopping. But then he immediately came back to the moment and his shoulders and back straightened up.

Rollins pulled her hands away, and they both began talking at the same time.

"You really should go home and get some rest" Amanda told him, backing away while he stood, tightening his tie.

"I was just gonna rest before getting behind the wheel".

They looked at each other, then both let out a nervous laugh.

Before he reads too much into this (as he often does) Carisi spoke.

"Okay, come on Rollins, lemme walk you out". He grabbed his jacket and they made their way back to the squad room.

Sensing how much this case bothered him, she offered the one comfort she knew had worked for him in the past.

"You wanna pick up some takeout and come visit with Jessie? She's been askin to see her Uncle Sonny".

She pretends this is all for her baby girls benefit, but she gets just as much out of his visits as Sonny and Jessie do.

"Oh really"? He smiles and hits the down button on the elevator. "So she's talkin now? I bet Uncle Sonny were her first words". Smile turned into a smirk.

"Yep, right after Frannie". She jokes.

"Okay, but we're not gettin takeout", he scoffs as the elevator doors open. Carisi blocks them from closing to let her on first, before getting in and pressing the G button for garage.

"We can stop at the store and I'll make us somethin".

They both turn to look at each other, smiling as the doors close.
