Lucy turns toward Crux with a smile now that they have settled what the payment for the keys will be. "Crux, do you want to finish our contract?" She asks him, knowing it may be draining him a little even if she can't feel it.
Crux lets out a snore again before Lucy goes to gently wake him. Before she can even touch him he startles. He turns directly toward her, looking ready to yell before he pauses at the sight of her. He blushes this time. "Eh, is there anything I'm forgetting?" He asks her, kind of confused about her approaching him.
Salazar hisses with amusement before he speaks. "We are in the human world and Lady Lucy would like to know if you want to finish the contract, Crux." Crux sits up straighter after he remembers where he is.
He gives her a grin, watching her carefully. "Well, I'm all about a good education. I'm also good at libraries and making copies of texts. Though I also tend to sleep when referencing things while in the human world. I believe you may call it Astral Projection, but I project in the spirit world." He tells her, she is suddenly much more interested in what he has to offer.
"If we also purchase Muggle Books, could you teach me them as well?" She asks him politely. He hums thoughtfully as they both hear a chuckle.
"I'd be better at that." Salazar tells her softly. "I'm more of a tutor spirit, but he's an almanac or an encyclopedia. He knows it just as well as I do but I do more teaching. He is more of an advisor. Though he also has Magic Sensory skills, if you have trouble learning a spell you can go to him easily. It might be best to include him in all of your classes whenever you are able to." Crux sighs, and Lucy realizes that he wants something else with her. Once she thinks about it, she understands what he means.
"Of course, you want some bonding time." Crux blushes a little, though his smile shows that he is slightly amused.
"Don't we all? Do you even know how many years it has been since we wandered the Human World?" He asks her, already understanding that she doesn't pity them.
Even the other three understands that she is trying to be considerate of their wants and needs. She isn't being rude, which is a wonder with how likely it would have been in the past. Her attitude may change rapidly at times, but she sincerely cares about everyone around her. She also agreed to cook for them sometime, which several spirits will be interested in devouring if Crux is correct. She also promised to spend time with each of her spirits and to make sure they go to good homes if they wish to.
"Oh, I guess I didn't think of that, my apologies." She tells them, looking toward the ground with a little shame. Salazar gently grasps her shoulder. She looks up at the spirits, showing she is kind of teary eyed right now. "It would be horrible if I were forced to leave earth for several hundred years. I don't know if I would be able to cope with it." Cain quickly engulfs her in a hug, letting her lean on him for a few moments before she smiles softly. "I'm glad to meet you all, but I don't know if I could cope with what you have surely gone through." Lucy tells them, sincere from the bottom of her heart.
"You're welcome, pup." Cain sooths out her hair, and she smiles despite her blush of happiness.
Cain coos at her for some reason before she realizes that they think she is adorable. Her entire face turns crimson that the goblins are witnessing this family-like moment. "Thanks, all of you." She says with a look to the group of goblins remaining. They all startle at her before they fist their hand, place it over their heart, and bow to her.
She returns her gaze to Crux, "Well, Lets's do a little review of what I'm learning with everyone else on Mondays and Fridays. Do you want a specific time?" Crux gives her a fond smile.
"I'd like to be with you most of your time free on Monday. I'll review what you are learning with the others the day before and test you to see if you understand the theory. On Fridays, I can act as an advisor if you want me to. Other than that, I'd like to be called into your modern classes to learn some more." She nods with understanding at this information.
"Are there any days you can't come because of having work in your dimension?" Lucy asks with interest.
"Ah, I hadn't thought of that. I'm usually sorting through the monthly meeting on the first and the first week of the year is spent reviewing the last year and changes needed in our world." Crux tells her with another blush.
Lucy nods to him with agreement. "Then our contract is set up unless you have objections." They shake hands as Lucy smiles gently before Cain clears his throat.
"I've started a list of which days you can summon who. I thought it would be useful to you." He tells her as he hands her an antique diary with her name inlaid on it with a few blank key designs around the edges. There is also a filled design with Cain's Key and the start of one with Crux's key.
"I didn't realize you owned one of those, Cain." Salazar says with surprise.
"I barely managed to send the telepathy to have Virgo bye get one for her." He tries not to look sheepish, but he is also aware that the notebook if a magical device.
"This is neat, how does it work?" Lucy asks him politely.
Elder Fiona chuckles a little bit. "That is a contract keeper. It allows you to recall any information your spirits have willingly given you and can list the people you can summon for the current day if you check the first page." She tells her with twinkling eyes.
"I appreciate the gift immensely. I think I have Virgo's key, give me a moment." She opens her case and asks "Virgo's key?" Instantly, a single card with a matching key appears in front of her. She reads the card briefly, nodding to herself, before she points the key forward, "Open, Celestial Spirit Gate!"
She squeaks at the sudden appearance of a pink haired maid. "Master, I live to serve." She tells her formally with a deep bow. "What would you like for me to do today?" She raises herself up, and looks at Lucy with a really serious face.
"I would like to thank you for this book. It is going to be very useful and I wanted to express my thanks." Virgo smiles beautifully at her.
She bows formally, "It is a pleasure to be of service, Master." She raises herself back up, and glances at the other spirits before noticing the warrior race members patiently waiting nearby. "Is there anything we need to do for you, Master?" She asks calmly despite her narrow gaze lingering on the weapons they hold.
"I'm hopeful that I cann finish Salazar's, Fiona's and maybe your contract." Virgo instantly looks gleeful.
"Master, you may summon me anytime, day or night, except the first night of every month and the first week off the year." Virgo sees her frown, and pauses, not knowing what she has done wrong.
"Is there anything you like doing as a something fun, like a hobby? I have enough money to buy about any kind of supplies." Virgo's eyes glint as she almost becomes maniac.
""Master, I would be extremely pleased to learn modern fashion and create outfits for you." She tells Lucy with the glint in her eyes at the nod growing into a gleam.
"I'll have you explore Diagon Alley for a while to determine what exactly the modern wizarding styles are. I'm pretty sure I'm not really going to return to the Muggle Side if I don't have to." She answers her plainly enough. Virgo looks surprised that she isn't into fashion for some reason. She is wearing drabby hand-me-downs, after all.
"That will please me greatly." She offers her hand and Lucy shakes it firmly before turning toward Cain and Crux.
She looks kind of sheepish. "I apologize, but I forgot to ask about hobbies." She tells them sincerely apologetic.
"You have my hobbby covered." Cain tells her as he continues writing in his notebook. She forgot that he is going to be training her.
"I'm perfectly happy with how the contract is now, Heiress Lucy." Crux answers her with a small smile on his face.
"Very well, if you insist." She sees a firm nod from both of them at the kindness she is showing them. She turns toward Salazar and Fiona, smiling gently at them. "Do either of you prefer to go next?" Lucy asks them politely, wondering if they are going to beg to be next.
"I have another idea," Lunrott turns toward Fiona with a small smile. "Elder Fiona, pick heads or tails." He reveals a dragon coin of some sort, showing a head on one side and a barbed tail on the other.
"Tails, Sir Lurnott." He flips the coin, catching it with one hand before slapping it against the back of his wrist. Lifting his hand reveals a head, showing that Salazar is going to go first.
"Ah, I see. My primary hobby is speaking with other snakes who aren't Naga like myself. There aren't many in the Spirit World, so maybe I might be able to learn more from modern snakes. Is that alright?" He asks her politely, raising an eyebrow at her. She nods to him, not seeing a reason to deny such a chance.
"That's fiine, could you also teach me any snake magic? Especially magic involving speaking the snake tongue?" Lucy asks him hopefully. He smiles softly at her with a good chuckle.
"I can teach you more about Parselmouths and Parseltonue. The magic they use is typically good for wardning, protection spells, and healing." The goblins nearby stare at him curiously.
"Things have changed since your time, then. The ability to speak with snakes is now considered a Dark Magic." Ragnok explains to Salazar, knowing that they may need to share this information with them anyway.
"Of course its not dark magic, there is only magic and the intentions which changes it. If I seek to use a paper cutting spell on a human while overpowering it then it will be considered as Dark. For all intents and purposes it is without an atribute, as is every spell in existence." Ragnok actually looks interested in this information, though he quietly ponders what this means of the humans.
"That's so cool!" Lucy cheers at the new rule of magic she has learned.
"Some spells are absolutely intended to be used with malice, do you know of any way the Killing Curse can be used as a light spell?" Ragnok suddenly asks him, startling the group of spirits.
"That's horriible! A spell designed only for that to be used on others with intelligence is disgusting." Cain growls with such an anngry tone.
"That may be true," Fiona tells the group, "But if there is a wounded magical creature who woon't survive, it can make its death clean and without extended torture from trying to save it." Fiona speaks solemnly, causing the group of goblins to look at her with newfound respect.
"That was originally the purpose of the spell, to kill farm animals for food." Lurnott tells the room with a careful tone. "When the darker wizards found out about it they decided to test to see if it would work on a human. Thereafter it has been an illegal spell to use."
"Oh, why do most humans have to corrupt things?" Crux asks with a weary sigh.
"I don't know, even when I lived as a Founder of Hogwarts I had heard of similar evils spreading." Salazar tells the group, startling the goblins even more at the news.
"Okay, maybe you can teach me different basic magic theory and help me study for my muggle classes." Lucy tells him with excitment.
"If you wish too attend a school via distannce, we can offer our services to help keep contact." The Director looks eager to please Lucy however he can.
"I'll help negotiate a price for that depending on the method used." Fiona speaks in a serious tone, already realizing they don't intend to offer it for free. They might want more keys, but surely they know where to find some elsewhere.
"Very well, that is acceptable." Ragnar speaks up easily enough.
"Okay, is that all you want, Salazar?" She asks with accute interest. He smiles at her fondly, knowing that she is being serious with him.
"Yes, Lucy, that is all." He offers his hand for a shake and she almost takes it before pausing.
"Are there any kinds of food you like?" She asks him, curious of the answer. He smiles as he nods to her.
"I love to eat fish fillet, baked if possible. Other types of sea creatures are also good in my opinion." Salazar tells her, happy with this offer. Lucy offers her hand this time, earning an amused look as he takes it and shakes gently.
"I guess that I'm next." Fiona says as she floats closer to Lucy. "I'm not sure if you are aware, but you are named after the last summoner." Fiona tells her politely before she turns toward Crux, "I believe you were bonded with Lucy Heartfilia. maybe you can help me put together a few stories of her adventures with Fairy Tail." Lucy frowns in confusion, not recognizing the name.
"What is that?" She asks Fiona.
"Fairy's were believed to have tails like cats and dogs do. So the guild named themselves after that to question if anyone had actually seen a fairy." Fiona tells her gently. Lucy turns toward Crux, seeing that he is obviously remembering them.
"Yes, I remember that well enough. Fairy Tail was full of love, life and laughter. They supported each other through thick and thin. They rallied Fiore's army when the Dark Mage Zeref decided to steal something from the first Guildmaster. While that item was destroyed, the entire world was saved by Lucy's mate, he is a Fire Dragon Slayer by the name of Natsu Dragneel." Lucy frowns in confusion, turning toward the gooblins where they are nearby.
Seeing their shock she turns toward Fiona. "Is he still alive?" She asks her carefully, wondering if she can meet him.
"He is dying now that the curse is broken. Now only you remain as the Legacy of Fairy Tail." Lucy sees what they mean before she slowly nods to them.
"Did I break the curse?" She asks in a small voice.
The spirits frown as Fiona speaks carefully, "The curse the moment your mother died. She was the last sustaining the curse, with the line so diluted, so with her death it has been broken. He will live until you are coonsidered of age before fading away." Lucy looks up, astonished at the news before she slowly relaxes. Her thoughts are racing as she wonders how she can meet him sometime soon.
"When can I meet him?" She asks her curiously. She truly wishes to meet him, but she is aware that she might not be able to.
"I don't think you ever will." Fiona tells her simply enough. Lucy sighs with understanding before Fiona sighs. "I'd like the same days as Crux and for you help me learn some modern recipes and cooking methods." Fiona offers her hand, which Lucy takes, gives a firm shake to her, and smiles quite amused.
"I ccan do that, easily." Lucy answers, wondering what it means to be the Legacy of Fairy Tail.
