Luz woke up the next morning. The plan to find the memory of the incident didn't work, as Luz figured, neither her nor Boscha were paying attention when it happened, so there was no memory of it.
"Boscha, it's time to wake up." Luz said, tiredly.
"No." Boscha thought.
"Boscha, don't make me come in there." Luz said.
"Why are you telling me to get up? You're the one that has control of the body at the moment."
"Hold on, I want to try something." Luz said.
"What are you doing?"
"Can you hear me?"
"Yeah, I can. Now we know we can talk to each other without talking." Boscha realized.
"That's awesome! But we really need to get ready for school."
"Again, you have control over our body."
"Right."
Luz walked to the bathroom and turned on the shower. She grabbed her shirt before she realized.
"Luz, I feel your emotions, why do you feel nervous?"
"You do realize... we're about... we're going to shower... together." Luz said.
"Ok."
Okay? Boscha, that means-"
"You realize this is going to be something that we have to move past if we plan on living like this, right?"
Luz had to admit, the voice in her head had a point. Luz removed her shirt and was stunned at the number of scars on her body.
"Woah."
"Yeah, what you saw was only one time he punished me."
"Boscha, this isn't punishment... this is torture."
"Can we just take a damn shower?"
Luz guessed that Boscha wasn't interested in talking about this anymore. After the shower, Boscha took over due to Luz having no idea how to do their hair.
"Have you ever thought about getting a new hairstyle?" Luz asked.
"There is nothing wrong with our current one, Luz." Boscha said, putting a hair tie around the bun, "There we go, perfect. Damn, I look good as a brunette."
They got dressed in their uniform and Boscha was checking Penstagram.
"Well, #FusionGirl is trending. Wonder who that could be?" Boscha said sarcastically, "You want to take control? Your human scroll thing is ringing."
Boscha's eye color changed from bluish grey to hazel. Luz picked up her phone.
"Hello?"
"Hola, Mija. I was just wondering how you're doing at camp." Camila said.
"Oh, Hola, Mami. Yeah, I-I-I'm doing good. Learning a lot about... taxes."
"That's interesting." She said in a way that made Luz worried.
"R-r-really?"
"Yeah, because I thought I'd surprise you and see you on my day off. Imagine my surprise when I'm told you never even arrived."
"I... uh... Oh, look at that! My phones about to die! Love you, gotta go, bye!"
Luz hung up and turned her phone off all the way.
"Why did you hang up!?"
"I panicked! What am I supposed to say? Hi, Mom, so yeah, I'm not at camp I'm in the Demon Realm and fused with my former bully. Now I have three eyes and a voice in my head!" Luz let out a sigh, "Let's just get to school."
"I'm just saying, I don't lie to my mother."
"You said you were spending the night at Skara's house."
"What's your point?"
Luz walked out of the Owl House, not even paying any attention to Eda or King.
"So, when we go to Plant class, can I take over? I need to talk to Willow."
"Sure."
"Maybe you should speak to me through the mind when we're in public. We might get a few looks."
"Good idea." Luz thought.
Why is Camila already aware that Luz isn't at camp? It will be important on later in the story. This isn't necessary to know, but whenever Luz is in control their eyes are dark hazel and when Boscha is in control, their eyes are bluish grey. Follow, Favorite, and Review for more.
