Dear sweet jesus getting this chapter out was a monster of a shit show. Long story short my grades were screwy back in university. I had paper work and everything proving beyond a doubt that the grades I ended up with were not accurate, like any three-year-old could tell. I even had this verified with my sister's school to make sure I wasn't losing my mind. Fast forward a year to the beginning of August and I learn they decided to fix my grades…after a year…a month before the new university term started. Yipee for me. Apparently paper work or some shit got mixed up but all that matters is that I graduated and am now onto graduate studies. Then my laptop decided it was a good time to die a stupid death and as such I rushed to get another. Now reasons for delays aside I do have some news. I decided to take break up Ultimate weapon into several books. As you are all well aware the entire design for this story takes inspiration from the comic books. Me and my friend Ph4nt0mRe4ch (my good buddy who preferred his real name wasn't released) as such developed plots using elements from ourselves, the comics, and RWBY lore. The end results? A SHIT TON of story. Like…a lot! If I wanted, I could honestly just keep writing plot points till the day I croak. A hyperbole I assure you but there is a lot to write! Rather than burn out like I did with Journey I'll be writing The Ultimate Weapon in parts. Part 1 will end with this Arc which has just begun. I plan to write a small 10 or so chaptered story to give my muse a break and then get right back into Ultimate Weapon! How it goes from there is up to the future but for now that is the plan going into the end of this year. Rest assured there is a good chunk of chapters left for this first book so you guys will have releases for quite some time yet. Now onto the story!

Ultimate Weapon Chapter 13: So, it begins.

Event: Gang Wars

"So X ray and Vav has an anime now?"

"Yup! Three seasons and going strong!"

"Isn't anime just cartoons? Why call it anime?"

"….you take that back".

Jaune rolled his eyes as he walked with his sister Crystal. It had been a few weeks ever since the attack on Mount. Glen. Insofar nothing had happened. Even though there had been ample evidence that a gang war was in the midst of erupting within Vale's streets the city had been quiet. Ozpin had hoped that the losses at Mount. Glen would deter said war completely, but Jaune wasn't believing it for a second. But yet, when Jaune looked around there was nothing. Not even suicide slums had been acting up.

It was concerning. Like the calm before the storm. But even so Jaune endeavored to make the most of it.

"Come on let's get a drink!" smiled Crystal.

Jaune smiled as he followed his sister. It had become almost routine to spend a few days a week with each sibling and parent. Last week Jaune had spent three days with his father. It had been…it had been something Jaune had ached to do for a long time. Unlike what his father's rather…sporadic personality might suggest Jaune's bonding time with the man was rather quiet. The two went to a bar, ordered drinks, and simply…talked. It had been surreal to see the man beneath the parent. The way his expression seemed to lift with each happy moment made Jaune smile. But, when Jaune talked about what happened to him his father gained a cold intent, something Jaune had never seen from the man.

It had been simultaneously the best and worst day of Jaune's life. The soul crushing guilt did not mix well with the reality of the whole thing. But even so Jaune would brave that hell anyway, as he did now. Time with family was something Jaune would treasure no matter the complexity of his emotions, nor the weight of his perceived screw up. Besides Crystal had some bitchen pop figurines and game suggestions. Because holy shit Jaune had grown up with pixel gaming and now apparently there's something called a PS5 and an Xbox series whatever that just made him cry tears of manly want. He had not been old enough to play the earlier console and PC stuff when he was living with his parents. Something about not turning into a neet whatever that was, so he had played older generation stuff. But now? The games…the games!

THE FUCKING GAMES MAN!

So much to play and enjoy! Life was good at least in that aspect. Which led to where Crystal was taking Jaune now. A gaming café that specialized in all sorts of games. Video games, Card games, even dice games. You know it, it's available. It was something Crystal frequented in Vale whenever she was in the area. No dingy ass bar would serve as appropriate bonding time with her brother after all. Most importantly it had every console and game known to man available to buy. It truly was a nerd's paradise. As the two approached the entrance a young man cleaning the window turned to greet them. A quick peek through said window showed Jaune that it wasn't all that busy. Just a few people sitting at large tables. The entire building looked modern on the outside, matching Vale's general architecture, but once inside it seemed to look like some wood cabin/tavern. The tables were large to accommodate all sorts of games but were spread out for privacy as well. Jaune could get used to this place. The employee however was a different story. The young man washing the window turned to them and quickly blushed. The man tried to fix his messy short hair and smiled awkwardly at Crystal and Jaune.

"Hey! Crystal you're here! This must be…uh John?"

"Jaune".

The young man frowned a bit as he apologized.

"Crap, sorry dude didn't mean to mispronounce ya. Welcome to the dungeon haul, your place to game, eat, and relax! Crystal's been a huge gaming friend online for years so whatever you need just ask! Anyway, welcome to Vale!"

Jaune felt his right eye twitch. The man was amicable enough, if incredibly awkward. He would at least give him that. But the way his scent shifted at the sight of crystal…

Oh hell no.

Crystal was wearing a baggie blue hoodie and jeans but even so her natural beauty was enough to give many a wandering eye. She seemed comfortable in this man's presence and to the guy's credit his eyes were firmly locked with Crystal's.

"…..Still don't like it" muttered Jaune.

"Pardon bud?"

"Nothing" sighed Jaune.

"Oh, right forgot to introduce myself. Name's Ryan!"

Jaune shook the man's hand but kept quiet. Crystal looked at her brother and narrowed her eyes. He wasn't? No….

"Don't you fucking dare" she whispered.

Jaune rose an eyebrow at her while Ryan, not noticing, opened the door for them.

"I like him Jaune. Don't you dare pull the overprotective brother cliché! You haven't earned the damn right!"

Jaune's face turned dark and stony, the shadows from the sun now covering his face save his mouth.

"…..understood" muttered Jaune.

Crystal smiled as grinned at Ryan.

"It's really good to see you again Ryan."

The man smiled warmly at Crystal.

"You too. It's been so long since I last saw you. How's your family holding up now that you found Jaune?"

Jaune let his sister have her conversation. He could tell that she was nervous. Jaune begrudgingly admitted that Ryan seemed ok. Constant eye contact was a must in Jaune's eyes. You're having a conversation with the woman not her damn tits. He at least did that much. Jaune noticed something though. Ryan not once prevented others from approaching crystal, even if they were rude in doing so. Such as now.

"CRYSTAL BABY! It's been a while!"

A woman with long pink hair and scorching red eyes approached the group. Ryan gave an uncomfortable smile while Crystal seemed distressed. She was uncomfortable in this woman's presence.

"Come on hun, why are you spending time with this guy when you could be spending time with me? We haven't hung out in forever and I won't bail like he did!"

Ryan was hesitant to step in. This group obviously had history. From what Jaune could smell Ryan seemed apprehensive.

"Probably afraid of coming off as clingy or overly jealous" thought Jaune.

He wanted to step in but Crystal's words rung through Jaune's skull. He decided to let the conversation run its course and than interrogate Crystal about it afterword's. Suddenly the woman wrapped her slender arm around Crystal's shoulder, causing Crystal to freeze up, and Jaune had enough.

"Grrrrrrrrrrrrr."

It was a low deep growl, one that erupted from the back of Jaune's throat. Unlike a normal Faunus, Jaune's throat and voice box were more than capable of reproducing animalistic sounds, rather than whatever human-esque attempt the Faunus did. In this case he sounded like a bear just about to roar, keeping his voice rumbling as he glared at the woman. The woman jerked back as Jaune approached Crystal, his eyes boring into her.

"W-hey who the hell…are…..?"

The woman's voice fell short as Jaune's growl grew louder as she approached them. As she backed up his growls lessened. Even the Faunus, for all their talk of animal-esque behavior never acted like this. The girl seemed to finally get the message, but her response was rather odd. Her expression seemed like she hit an epiphany.

"…oh shit" she muttered "sorry Crystal I forgot you aren't that comfortable with physical stuff."

She mumbled an additional apology and…well just left.

"….is the entirety of Vale filled with idiot's incapable of social interactions?" asked Jaune.

"You do not get to say that" smiled Crystal "and Sammie isn't bad."

Jaune stared at Crystal dubiously.

"I'm not kidding" frowned Crystal "she's a good friend it's just she's incredibly physical. I've told her a few times that I'm only ok with a bit of it. Well that and her and Ryan have some history, hence her taking a few shots at him. A few shots he deserves from time to time if you ask me"

Ryan shrugged as he gave a week smile.

"It's a long story" he said "I wasn't the way I am now back than. Crystal and leader got me out of that funk but…I still hurt Sammie. Please don't let what happened make you judge her, she's a good person I swear!"

"She's usually good with the whole touching thing. I expect an apology when you see her next."

Jaune growled again causing Crystal to look at her brother deeply.

"and what the hell is that? You sound like a bear?" she questioned.

Jaune shrugged. It was all instinct, not something he could really explain. Not like he did it for every situation anyways.

"You seemed distressed" muttered Jaune "and Ryan wasn't stepping in out of fear of being too clingy or something."

Jaune's sense of smell wasn't so powerful as to tell the outright intentions of a person, but combine it with observations, physical tells, and a few other factors and one such as Jaune can get a pretty good guess at what people were thinking.

"You thought I would think that of you?" said Crystal.

Jaune smiled at her tone. Seemed this wasn't the first time Ryan was afraid of pushing boundaries. Good. Meant the guy had some restraint.

"I know you had some…bad experiences in the past" said Ryan "and I know I keep saying that but I just want to make you comfortable with me and not remind you of-"

Before Ryan could finish Jaune had gripped his shoulder and looked Ryan dead in the eye.

"Who were they and where are they?"

Ryan blinked.

"….uh…"

"DO. NOT. ANSWER HIM" grumbled Crystal, her cheeks red "it's in the past Jaune, just let it go."

This time a feline growl escaped Jaune's throat, a sign he was ready to hunt.

"Now that one I remember it was when you chased those…mice….YOU ARE NOT TRACKING THEM DOWN JAUNE!"

Jaune narrowed his eyes.

"So…I don't mean to come off as rude but is your brother a Faunus?"

Jaune ejected his claws.

"Mutant."

Crystal slapped her face was she questioned Jaune's sanity.

"….THAT IS SO COOL!" said Ryan.

Jaune blinked as his claws retreated into his fist. He looked at Crystal with an eyebrow raised. Crystal shrugged.

"He's an ex Atlas student. He's seen some stuff. Being a mutant isn't going to shake him."

"….really now" muttered Jaune in surprise.

Ryan shrugged.

"I got expelled from Atlas after my leader refused my team a mission from Fury."

"Why on earth would the director of Shield want you?"

Ryan opened his hand and a small arrow made of green light popped up.

"My semblance allows me to track the genetic material of any living thing. I can find anyone anywhere. It may look like an arrow but that's just its physical appearance. In truth I can find anyone wherever they hide on the planet. No exceptions."

"…. that's bullshit"

"You think so?"

"No wonder Fury wanted you. You could track down any criminal."

"So long as I have genetic material that isn't too old sure. Anything older than a week just doesn't work…don't know why though. Anyway, he bypassed my leader and contacted me directly. He wanted me to track down someone but wouldn't give the details. I knew they weren't a criminal so I just said no. Got kicked out for my trouble and my records altered. Thankfully my team stuck by me cause I don't wanna think of where I'd be without them."

"…how did you know they weren't a criminal?"

"Well for starters he had their blood in a vial. That kind of threw me. It was viable for my semblance too which meant that he was already tracking them and lost em. I fibbed and said I needed a general run down of their appearance to begin. I let him think it was due to genetic similarities between direct family or something. Honestly can't believe he bought it. All I got was over six feet, blonde, and unusual genetic components. A lot like Jaune….oh crap."

Ryan cringed as he watched Crystal getting pissed beyond measure while Jaune rolled his eyes. Jaune sighed. He should have known Fury was tracking him down. But to think he had almost gotten tracked due to this guy…thank god the man had morals. Jaune's respect for him went up a bit.

"Treat her right" was all Jaune said.

"DAMN IT JAUNE!" pouted Crystal.

Ryan blushed a bit as he looked to the side.

"I uh…I try."

Crystal blushed as she buried her head into her palms. Of course, after all the drama that just occurred NOW the patrons were paying attention. Just her luck.

"Can we have a table, please. I don't want to hear about a weirdo general wanting my brother anymore."

Jaune snorted while Ryan busted out laughing.

"Oh I wish I could see Ironwood's face if he heard that."

"So, Fury can just kick you out?" asked Jaune.

"Atlas is more a military academy than a huntsman one" explained Ryan, leading them to an open table "so disobeying military orders is ground for dismissal and dishonorable discharge. Didn't help I uh…kind of flipped him the bird."

Jaune stopped and looked at Ryan. The man was socially inept, that was true, but dang…he was alright.

"….nice" nodded Jaune.

Ryan gave an uneven grin and nodded.

"He was uh…not impressed."

"Was it worth it?" asked Jaune.

"Oh one hundred percent!"

Jaune chuckled as he sat down with crystal sitting across from him.

"I'll get Crystal her usual, did you want the menu?"

"You serve food?" asked Jaune.

"Yep! Serena is a little odd but she can cook with the best of em. I guarantee you'll enjoy the food or your money back."

Jaune rose an eyebrow and smiled.

"In that case I'll have what Crystal's having."

Ryan nodded.

"You got it, Serena did you?"

A booming woman's voice echoed through the café.

"I HEARD! TWO NUMBER 7's WITH A SIDE COMING UP!"

Jaune turned around and noticed what looked like a snow rabbit Faunus coming through a set of doors, two plates of food on her arms. She placed the steaming sub in front of Jaune with a drink and a donut with some kind of lemon meringue on top on the side.

"….how?"

"Serena is special" grinned Ryan, placing his arm on her shoulder.

Serena scoffed as she rolled her eyes. Her eyes were bright red and her hair was pure white. Her large bunny ears were wider and taller than Velvet's and didn't droop either. She even had a white bunny tail coming out of her pants. Such a description may have described such a woman as cute or benign. That would be a mistake. This woman looked like she benched pressed trucks as a hobby and killed people with a look. She was as beautiful as she was ripped, which was to say she was jacked as fuck.

Jaune could feel the sheer experience radiate off this cook. She was dangerous that was for certain. She wore a black sleeveless muscle shirt with heavy cargo pants. A bandanna was wrapped around her forehead to keep hair out of the food. Her long hair was done into a pristine bun at the moment. Her dark skin contrasted beautifully with her white hair, making her red eyes pop.

"You're a shameless flirt you know that?"

"WHAT!? I AM NOT!" cried Ryan.

Serena laughed as she shook her head, tears leaking from her eyes.

"LEADER PLEASE! CRYSTAL'S HERE!"

Crystal started laughing as Ryan followed his team leader back into the kitchen.

"Are they always like that?" asked Jaune.

"Yes. Serena basically raised Ryan."

"….."

Crystal smiled at Jaune's questioning expression.

"They're from the same orphanage in Atlas. She's more like his big sister even though they're only a few months apart. She's the one that owns this café while Ryan takes care of all the logistic stuff. I've never seen the other two but Ryan swears they're here. Serena is the raid leader for my raiding group too!"

Jaune smirked.

"they seem happy."

"They had a tough time starting out" admitted Crystal "some gangs tried to extort them for money but those two can handle themselves. I'm sure his other two teammates played a role but…again I've never seen them."

Jaune nodded. They were close to suicide slums. Not close enough to actually see it, but close enough that if gangs wanted to expand their territory than this place was a possible expansion point.

"So" smiled Jaune "Ryan?"

"Shut up" grumbled Crystal "he's…he's comfortable."

"Comfortable isn't boyfriend material" muttered Jaune.

"That is not what I mean" she sighed "I just meant that he makes me comfortable. I don't feel like I have to hide my body from him just to have a conversation."

"….."

Crystal sighed at Jaune's cold expression.

"It's cute, this whole protective brother thing, but Jaune it's in the past. Stacy and Brock haven't been a part of my life for years. As uncomfortable as Sammie made me that was just my own dislike of close contact…I wasn't hurt the way you are assuming."

"Hmmm."

Jaune grunted.

"Jaune I swear."

"….."

"Please."

"…you already kicked their ass didn't you."

"…no" grumbled Crystal.

Jaune smiled and shook his head. Crystal may come off as a demure and passive woman, but if she was raised by Joan than there wasn't a chance in hell that she couldn't kick ass. "Huntsman in training" was just a legal formality after all. Anyone could get their aura unlocked and trained. Crystal was one such person. Jaune took a bite out of the sub and sighed.

"Oh….this is good" he muttered.

"Right? Healthy too, I love coming here."

"You love coming for Ryan."

"You!" smiled Crystal.

Jaune shrugged as he took another bite.

"You can't lie to me. The nose knows."

Crystal blushed as she turned to the side.

"You and your creepy sense of smell!"

"Why do you think I smoke cigars?"

"You are not smoking again" grumbled Crystal.

Jaune rolled his eyes. It wasn't as if he could get cancer from the damn things. The two fell into a comfortable silence that was accented with some small talk. It was mostly about comic books and video games for the most part with a dash of shows.

"This is nice" smiled Crystal, pausing to eat the final part of her sub "being here with you and just hanging out is... I…I missed you a lot Jaune."

Much like Jaune himself Crystal wasn't necessarily one for words. She was far more sociable yes but she preferred action over simply speaking.

"So, which one should I get?" asked Jaune, pointing at a counter filled with consoles, PC's, Laptops, and games.

Crystal scoffed and smirked.

"Depends. If you ask Jennifer she's all about X-box. I prefer to use my own custom PC and just have a PlayStation for the exclusives honestly. If you got the money just get em all."

"I doubt my dorm room is big enough."

"That? You can customize that place as much as you like" smirked Crystal "not like Ozpin can stop you. Just place a TV inside the wall and have your PC and console on a stand or something. I doubt your teammates will be annoyed at having television in their room."

Jaune smiled and shook his head.

"You just have it all figured out, don't you?"

Crystal stuck her tongue out a tad and winked. Jaune had admitted he had acquired a large sum of money to his family a while back, so to Crystal's mind there wasn't any need to choose, just pick whichever floats your boat and get on with it…and no this had nothing to do with getting her brother addicted to her favorite MMO on PC and hanging out with him there. Jaune smiled as they finished their food and talked. Crystal wasn't willing to divulge information about her Ex's, much to Jaune's chagrin, but she was willing to talk about school, aspirations, and some long-term goals. She was entering her fourth year of Vale University for programming and game design and was adamant about moving to Vale properly, rather than just coming back and forth from the Arc homestead. Remnant may have been a shattered fragment of humanity but damnit if they didn't know how to build super-fast airships. Both for military/relief purposes and because some people just have a need for speed.

Crystal, much like the rest of her family, was NOT one of them. She hated flying and as such was willing to foot the bill and live in Vale permanently. Thanks to Ironwood's stupidity, both Ozpin induced and otherwise, Crystal wouldn't have to spend a dime of her own money to live in Vale as she was now explaining to Jaune.

"You guys are moving?" muttered Jaune.

Crystal nodded as she helped Jaune load his purchases into a container for Jaune to carry.

"Yup" said Crystal popping the P "mom basically said we're moving to Vale to be closer to you. It's not like we're hurting for cash and besides our homestead is mostly self sufficient. Dad's confident they can last a few years without us. Once you're out of Beacon they'll just move back. Besides it's only a forty minute ride away."

"If they take the black hawk" muttered Jaune.

The two siblings shivered at the name. The Black Hawk, or more accurately the mark 5 Black Hawk, was the fastest flight vehicle bar none. The combination of scrapped space tech from Atlas's failure of a space program, dust engines, and micro aura infused metals, this plane could travel the entirety of remnant in a mere 54 hours. Considering that was landing at every kingdom, village, and location on maps…

Well that was just simply astounding. One issue. It moved so fast that the G force crushed civilians and some huntsman. The likes of the Arcs, Ozpin, and numerous other powerful individuals were the only ones that could operate and use the damn thing in the first place. It was a custom-built super vehicle that only the most powerful huntsmen could own and operate. It was considered a symbol of both power and prestige…

And Joan uses it to send her children to school...a super vehicle reduced to what was essentially a family car. Talk about overkill. Jaune was busy laughing at the whole thing as the two siblings walked down the street back to Jaune's bike. It was way off in a public parking zone but that was fine for them.

"Seriously" chuckled Jaune "I can't believe mom used that thing to just take you to school."

"Between you and me I think she just uses me as an excuse to fly that thing in the first place" sighed Crystal.

"I wouldn'…MOVE!"

BOOOM!

Jaune shoved Crystal out of the way, causing his sister to land on her bottom with the package landing on her legs. She grimaced and shook her head, clearing her vision and ears. Crystal swallowed heavily as she looked for Jaune. They had been walking down a sidewalk and were going past an alley when Jaune had shoved her away. Crystal noticed that the walls of said alley were already crumbling away as she got up. She became more alert as people began screaming and running past her. She noticed Jaune had been launched into a vehicle from across the street. He was currently embedded deep within the crushed frame and was ripping himself out. His clothes teared as he narrowed his eyes.

"Who are you?" demanded Jaune.

A quiet clapping began to echo through the chaos. The dust from the explosion began to settle revealing a man in a white suit. His skin was pale from a lack of light and his hair was snow white save for black streaks going through.

"Well well you survived the blast. I have to say the boss wasn't exaggerating when he said you heal fast."

Jaune grunted as he finally stood up. The street was now barren but several people were in the buildings across this street, afraid of getting in the cross fire.

"What do you want?" snarled Jaune, his fists ready.

"Why, your head of course. Can't have you meddling around in our turf now can we? If you could be a dear and just hold still?"

Jaune looked down and saw a purplish bubble of air lightly hit his chest.

"When did!?"

BOOOOM!
Instead of being shot backwards once again Jaune could feel the explosion trying to actively tear through his body. The entire force was dedicated to simply breaking Jaune's body. This wasn't the behavior of a normal bomb or even an explosive.

"Semblance?" growled Jaune.

"That's right" smirked the man "I can turn any object I touch into a deadly explosive and control it at will. That includes the air. Do you realize now? The futility?"

From behind the white suited man several F.O.H uniformed gangsters came filing out of the alley. They looked like teenagers or perhaps just on the cusp of twenty. They all had guns and an odd energy of confidence.

"I have studied every detail about you. A close-range specialist with no long-range capabilities. No aura. No significant allies. Here and now…you'll be brought low. This entire street is filled with my unique explosives. You can't smell them nor can you see them until its too late!"

Jaune narrowed his eyes.

"….but the ball is purple though" he thought.

True they were hard to see, but even now Jaune could see the slight shimmer glittering across the entire area. If you weren't paying attention it would be easy to lose sight of such a thing. But Jaune was not the average human. His senses were sharpened to a level even the Faunus would be envy of. Catching such a sight was child's play.

"Is he still talking?" muttered Jaune.

Indeed. Apparently the entire time Jaune was analyzing the street the man was talking.

"After all that..it has finally happened…I KIRA SHALL RISE! THIS IS THE END FOR YOU BEAST! I KIRA WILL SH-"

FWOOOSH!

Jaune let loose a cold breath as he stared in wonder. The white suited man, Kira, was frozen solid…along with the entire alley way and part of the street. All his henchmen were frozen solid as well, trapped in a glacier shimmering with aura. Jaune turned his head and noticed little purple balls popping harmlessly, the semblance's power deactivated due to the unconscious state of its user. Jaune slowly turned his head and watched his sister glare at the men trapped within her semblance.

Crystal Arc, age: 21. Semblance: Ice age. Out of her entire family Crystal's semblance was by far the most versatile and powerful. Her large stores of aura and training allows Crystal to freeze the water molecules in the air to almost subzero temperatures. Unlike normal ice freezing her victims does not leave lasting harm, mostly due to her aura that is infused into the ice. She can make the ice as strong as steel and as fluid as water. However, if pushed Crystal would have no compunctions of allowing the frigid temperatures of her semblance to kill anyone that crossed her.

Jaune swallowed some blood as Crystal walked up to him. He rolled his shoulders and narrowed his eyes at the encased men and women. A total of six people had become trapped in the ice, a look of triumph on their faces.

"Of course, gangsters pick today to bug us" scowled Crystal.

Jaune studied the F.O.H members. They were obviously not that high up…if Jaune was to hazard a guess they were likely new recruits.

"…so it's starting" he mumbled.

"I'll let mom know" said Crystal "the police will handle the rest of this. The ice will remain that way for a good hour if left alone."

Jaune grunted as he yelled in his mind for Ozpin. Jaune went face to ice with the frozen people and began to put every form of important information to memory. The generic armbands, the lack of proper information, and most importantly the utter brazen attempt on his life. From what the grunt said they knew about his ability to recover from virtually any injury. Yet…they all tried to attack him anyway. Such confidence was worrying. But what was more worrying was the leader that allowed that confidence to run amok.

"Jaune?"

The Wolverine stood his eyes and expression returning to their stony exterior. But inside Jaune was worried.

"Ozpin. The F.O.H have made their move. I was just attacked by them in the middle of the street. It was a small unit but one that had some knowledge of me, enough to track me down at least."

"…that…that is not good" echoed Ozpin "come back to Beacon when you can, we will have a lot to talk about. I'll call the others. Can I trust that you will inform your family about this matter?"

Jaune turned to his sister and rose an eyebrow as she scanned the other alleyways of possible combatants.

"I got it handled" thought Jaune "I'll be a good hour before I'm back at base."

Jaune could hear Ozpin's sigh.

"I wish you'd just call it a school. I'll see you soon Jaune."

Jaune rolled his eyes. The entire school sent their students on missions against the Grimm all the time. The school was more an educational base to Jaune. But apparently Ozpin liked to split hairs about it.

"Crystal I'm dropping you off at home!"

Crystal sighed.

"I'm going to kill whoever their leader is" she groaned.

Leave it to the Arcs to find threats of murder endearing.

"We still got a ride on my bike to get through" smiled Jaune "so our day isn't over yet."

"I'm driving!" yelled Crystal.

Jaune lost his smile in an instant.

"What?"

-An hour and thirty minutes later: Ozpin's Office-

"Are…are you ok?" asked Pyrrha.

Jaune was busy staring out the window in Ozpin's office. He blinked as he nodded slowly. His team were currently standing before Ozpin waiting for someone to arrive. Ozpin was trying not to laugh at what he was seeing in his mind. The image of Jaune stoically gripping his bike's seat for dear life while his sister revved his bike between traffic made Ozpin's day. Glynda looked as imperious as ever and kept staring at the door.

"I'm fine" said Jaune "just…repressing".

Pyrrha rose an eyebrow but was silenced by the sound of Ozpin's door opening.

"I'm here Oz now what's…what are kids doing here?"

Jaune felt his nose tickle at the scent of alcohol on the man. Ozpin however seemed happy to see him. Glynda however was not as amused.

"Qrow" smiled Ozpin "thank you for coming so soon. I know it wasn't easy."

Qrow shrugged.

"Eh when you can fly some trips are short."

Ozpin sighed at Qrow's pointed stare at team JNPR.

"Qrow this is team JNPR. They were the team I sent to Mount. Glen. They have been instrumental in stopping the White Fang's plans for Vale and are with us in the fight for Vale."

For some reason Jaune was sure a secret was passed between them. For Qrow's eyes seemed to widen with understanding.

"Ahh right the fight for Vale. Good to see Ozpin's training guys like you up, we could definitely use the help. Old iron pants isn't what I'd call help, so having friendly faces is good. The name's Qrow Branwen."

"Qrow is my intelligence specialist. He will be gathering intel on the Friends of Humanity and their activities. My hope is that with the information we have on hand plus whatever Qrow can gather will be enough to smother this war before it escalates any further. Now Jaune, you said you were attacked?"

"In the middle of the street?" muttered Qrow "thought those uniformed dicks were all about military precision and shit, or at least their understanding of it?"

"I was shocked as well" muttered Jaune "but the issue wasn't the attack. The idiot leading them seemed young and inexperienced, fully intoxicated with his own power. His unit was similar in that they were nothing but confident. I think they were a rouge unit, one that attempted to remove me for standing within their organization."

Qrow rose an eyebrow.

"….where the hell did you find this one?"

Ozpin smiled.

"He's from the Vault."

Qrow whistled.

"blonde hair…about Yang's age…guess that makes you the Wolverine that made Graydon Creed almost shit his pants."

Jaune snorted and nodded.

"I regret not finishing the man off."

"You and me both" muttered Qrow "never seen a bigger douche. I'd prefer serenading Fury over dealing with that prick."

Nora began to chuckle while Pyrrha wondered what their history with this creed man was like. Hopefully he wasn't related to Victor.

"So, the F.O.H is moving" stated Ren "things will begin to escalate quickly now. The first shots been fired."

"Will the people be ok?" asked Nora "I mean the F.O.H and those White Fang guys seem well equipped."

"I'm not overly concerned about civilian casualties for now" said Ozpin.

"Why's that?" asked Pyrrha.

It was Glynda that stepped forward this time, using the technologies within Ozpin's office to bring up a map of Vale's streets.

"Damage will be kept to a minimum in such a war" stated Glynda "remember for all the Friends of Humanity's resources they still function like a Gang. They use the populace as a means of income and try to hold key points in the city. For what reason, considering they have a benefactor, isn't really known. The most Opzin managed to get was the feeling that such funds were being funneled to specific projects but without knowing who the upper leaders of the F.O.H are, reading minds is not a viable solution."

Ozpin grunted.

"Creed has alluded my mental reach somehow. I can stretch my mind to almost the entirety of the Vale Kingdom. The fact that Graydon cannot be found means that he has the methods to block me. That or he is fumbled into a safe house that blocks me by accident. Until he comes out into the open the more traditional methods of information gathering is best. While I believe open battle is far off…I've been wrong before. We must tread carefully."

It was true that Ozpin could just read the mind of each individual in Vale. The issue with such a method was the sheer scale of it. While Ozpin's mind was powerful he could not withstand the pressure of the entirety of Vale, sifting through the memories of so many just to reach his target. This left doing small groups at a time. However, such an action was aberrant to Ozpin due to both the privacy that would be infringed upon and the fact that there was simply not enough time. To scan so many people would take months if not outright a year. If he kept it to just the capital city than perhaps it could be done…but Ozpin was not willing to break the privacy of so many people. Not for this…and hopefully not ever.

"You can count on me" grumbled Qrow "more interesting than the last job anyways. Where am I starting?"

"The suicide slums" stated Glynda "it has been subjected to quite a few accidents over the last two weeks. The media has portrayed it as just normal accidents…but considering what we know I find that unlikely."

Qrow nodded.

"Got it boss. I'll head out now, see what I can find."

"What about us?" asked Nora, watching Qrow leave the office.

"You four are going to do a different job" said Ozpin "One a bit more in the open. I want you four to patrol Vale tonight. Try to be as inconspicuous as possible and see what you can find. If it were me I would split into two smaller groups, each taking a side of Vale's kingdom. You will be exempted from classes tomorrow as compensation for your time. I'll notify Oobleck to have a work sheet ready for you when your done tonight."

"At least we don't have class" muttered Nora "Well Ren time for a date!"

Ren smiled and rolled his eyes.

"Knowing you Nora this is exactly the kind of date you would want."

"A spy mission date? Why Ren you do care!"

Ozpin smiled while Glynda narrowed her eyes at their behavior. This wasn't a joke after all. But Glynda relented, after all it was likely they may not notice anything. Ozpin shifted his demeanor as he stared hard at his desk.

"Promise me one thing" stated Ozpin, dead serious.

The four of them looked at their headmaster.

"…stay safe" whispered Ozpin "please. It is important that we stop this Gang war as fast as we can but not at the cost of your lives. It is…admirable that you have all stepped up as you have…but you are still children. While you patrol tonight enjoy yourselves."

As Ozpin spoke he telepathically gave Nora and Pyrrha a black credit card each.

"These cards have no limit. I trust you to spend it responsibly. Remember, simply keep an eye out and intervene only if necessary. This is an information gathering mission. I trust Qrow with my life but he is only one man. Contact me" said Ozpin, tapping his skull "with whatever you find. If you need backup, or if there's something you can't handle than notify me as soon as you can….dismissed."

Jaune nodded and made his way to the door. Pyrrha seemed to mutter some kind of apology as she turned to leave, staring at the card apprehensively. Nora didn't give a shit and just dragged Ren with her, arm in arm, blabbing about the night they'll have. Ozpin frowned a bit as he noticed Nora's apprehension and nervousness.

"…They're still kids Glynda" muttered Ozpin as his door shut.

"…I know Ozpin."

"Am I doing the right thing?"

"The next generation must lead on from the past one" sighed Glynda "that is an undeniable truth."

"I know" stated Ozpin "I thought I would be over this…but apparently not. I should have more faith in them."

Glynda smiled.

"I think we should also head out tonight."

Ozpin stared at Glynda and smiled.

"You spoil me" he muttered, standing to intertwine his hands with hers.

"I can say the same about you" smiled Glynda "I worry about them too. If we're in the city we can at least respond quickly if necessary."

Glynda's semblance boosted by Ozpin's telekinetic abilities allowed the two to fly at absurd speeds so the tactic was sound.

"and wherever shall we go?" murmured Ozpin.

Glynda bit her lip.

"I'll let you know…now finish your work."

Ozpin sighed as he turned back to his desk, the usual unending pile of work greeted him.

"Why does it never end?" muttered Ozpin.

"Because the Valish government is corrupt and you pick up their slack far too much" sighed Glynda "now finish up…I'll take half."

Ozpin just smiled.

"I still believe you spoil me too much."

"Complain again and I'll just relax instead."

Ozpin wisely stayed silent, the smiles on both their faces easing their trouble hearts.

It was never easy depending the young.

-With Jaune and the others, JNPR's room-

"DAaAaAaAte time Ren!"

Ren rose an eyebrow.

"Is that a serious offer?"

Nora chocked as she blushed.

"Come on!" she laughed "you know we aren't like…together together!"

Ren blinked and rose an eyebrow as Nora began to chuckle nervously into the bathroom.

"….She is chaos given form" muttered Jaune.

"She is Nora" smiled Ren.

"You could use this to your advantage and ask her out seriously" stated Jaune.

Ren sighed.

"There is history as you know…I don't know if me being with Nora is the correct choice."

"Perhaps not. But is it a choice you wish to regret never making?"

Ren turned to Jaune and stared into his eyes. It was if a sense of brotherly comradery formed between the two, a weird form of communication only they could understand.

"Perhaps you have a point."

"There are times a man must obey his instincts" was all Jaune said.

Pyrrha looked between the two boys and blinked. It was odd how quickly they formed a bond…it was something Pyrrha was jealous of if she was honest. In the span of a few weeks these two had formed a bond stronger than what she could see from any of the first-year teams. It was…also kind of weird.

"Tea?" asked Jaune.

"Tea" intoned Ren.

"Hmmm/Hmmm" the two grunted.

Pyrrha scooted a little to the left, waiting for Nora to finish changing. Pyrrha had decided to dress in her usual casual attire. She wore a baggy burgundy hoodie and black yoga pants. She felt comfortable moving and more importantly felt like nobody would look at her a second time. She let her long hair pool behind her, letting her hair free of its pony tail for the first time in a long time. A reminder that here in Vale she was freer than she ever was in Mistral. Pyrrha smiled at Jaune, noticing him looking at her. Jaune smirked back. He was wearing a tight blue shirt with his sleeves rolled up. He wore dark blue jeans to complete the ensemble. Ren was wearing what he normally wore, preferring the clothes for their comfort and combat capability. Nora cheered as she stepped out of the bathroom. Her clothes were as boisterous as herself. Her white muscle shirt with a pink heart in the middle showed off her athletic build and her jeans hugged her curves in just the right way, at least to Ren.

"I am here!" chuckled Nora "and you are changing" she smiled.

Ren blinked.

"I'm quite comfortable-"

Nora's smile grew wider as she made shooing motions. Yet, to her shock Ren tilted his head and gave her an ultimatum.

"I'll change if you let me make this a real date."

Jaune gave the man a thumbs up while Pyrrha blinked in surprise. That was quick. But one needed to remember that Ren and Nora have had their dance for many years. Contrary to popular belief Ren didn't actually forget anything in the dust plane. He had remembered everything but was too afraid to let go of what he and Nora had. But Jaune was right.

There was a time for fear…and a time for instinct.

Nora stared into space unblinking. Ren rose an eyebrow. It had been a good minute now.

"You broke her" said Jaune.

Jaune rose up and popped his metal bones again. He ejected his claws out of habit, letting the snikt echo through the room.

"I'm heading out."

Pyrrha opened her mouth and in a burst of confidence spoke.

"I'm coming with you".

"Alright."

Pyrrha blinked as Jaune went out the door.

"….it was that easy?" she whispered.

Ren lightly tapped Nora, her expression still unchanging.

"Nora?"

Pyrrha giggled as she quickly went out the door, giving the two alone time. Pyrrha was sure that Nora just wanted to be alone for her heart to heart with Ren. Pyrrha quickly ran down the hall, catching up with Jaune. He was walking leisurely down the hallway with his hands in his pockets.

"Sorry for just coming with you" smiled Pyrrha awkwardly.

"You apologize too much sometimes" grumbled Jaune "besides a night with a pretty girl is worth any bother you give me."

Pyrrha's face turned red as she tried to speak. A squeak came out instead. Jaune blinked as they loaded into the elevator.

"You're really not comfortable with actual compliments, are you?"

Pyrrha cooled herself and smiled crookedly.

"Well I'm not used to people just saying them to my face. I usually get…"

"Cat calls and booty jokes? Or perhaps you get some leers at your boobs and comments about how hot you'd look in their bed?"

Pyrrha stared at Jaune.

"You'd be surprised what some women and men say to me sometimes."

Pyrrha had to admit there was something about Jaune. A wild charisma that she just couldn't put her finger on. The way he carried himself was confidence personified but that wasn't what attracted her. It was…the wild freedom he had. The way he just said and did what he wanted. That kind of strength was something that Pyrrha could truly appreciate.

"Perhaps I should get more used to hearing compliments" sighed Pyrrha.

"I prefer your cheeks red than not" smirked Jaune.

Pyrrha erupted again. Both at the literal and sexual meaning of the word. Jaune smirked, showing his teeth a bit.

"Seems you're not so innocent miss champion."

Pyrrha smirked for once.

"I'm sorry to disappoint."

Jaune actually laughed. Pyrrha's blush remained strong but her eyes widened, taking in the sight. His laugh was throaty and deep. A bellow that echoed from his chest. An echo that wrapped its way around her own heart. Pyrrha felt her throat grow dry.

"So you do have some bite!" smirked Jaune "the night keeps getting better and better. I think Ren said they were going north, so how about we go south?"

Pyrrha smiled.

"That sounds like a plan" said Pyrrha.

Pyrrha exited the elevator and was shocked to see the parking lot of Beacon.

"This is?"

Jaune walked towards a motorcycle and hopped on.

"You coming?"

He revved the engine as he turned it on. He didn't overdo it, only doing so to make sure everything was in order. Pyrrha never saw the attraction for such vehicles…but the thought of having to hold onto Jaune was a different attraction all together.

"I'm…I'm coming now" sputtered Pyrrha.

She didn't appreciate the knowing grin Jaune shot at her. Nor did she like the way it made her heart jump.

Not at all.

-1 hour later-

Pyrrha sighed as she enjoyed the wind pressing against her face. The bike ride was unexpectedly smooth. From what little Pyrrha knew most rode the damn thing like it was a wild horse, fast and furious. Yet, Jaune rode it so smoothly that Pyrrha barely felt any bumps during the ride or sudden turns. A night out with a man on his bike…it was if she was on a date…

As if she was normal.

"Pyrrha."

The red head blinked and looked as Jaune stopped in front of a club.

"Wait here for a minute. I just need to talk to junior."

Pyrrha blinked again as Jaune entered the club.

"Did he just…" muttered Pyrrha.

….he did not just…

Pyrrha narrowed her eyes. It was one thing to put her aside in things she had no experience with, putting her aside just for getting in a club was another matter entirely. Pyrrha got up and walked into the club. She blinked as she blaring noise echoed through her head and the sight of numerous bodies moving at a rapid pace caught up to her.

"…Oh my" muttered Pyrrha.

Jaune turned to see her and rose an eyebrow.

"Didn't want to wait?"

"Well you weren't exactly polite about it" smirked Pyrrha.

"Fair. Didn't think this was your kind of scene."

"I love dancing" smiled Pyrrha "it's been a passion of mine since I was a child."

Jaune seemed to blink in surprise as Pyrrha began to move with the music, a natural in her environment. As she drifted into the dance floor it was obvious that she didn't appreciate the man that were trying to grind their pelvis into her ass but Jaune was confident she could physically break them in half if she wanted to.

Aura or no aura be damned.

Jaune had seen a few of her matches online when he was bored and the word shocked didn't do it justice. Jaune was physically superior in almost every way to the normal human, augmented or not. Before the addition of metal bones Jaune's flexibility and speed were just as impressive as his inhuman regeneration and strength. It was without question that Pyrrha put said traits to shame with her display. The way she twisted in the air and moved with her weapon showed just how masterfully she had mastered her own body. It made Jaune itch to actually spar with her.

"That your girlfriend?" asked Junior.

Jaune smirked at Junior. The man could be quiet when he wanted to be.

"You never stop with that joke, do you?"

Junior smirked. Jaune and Junior smiled as they hugged each other.

"Good to see you man. Been a bit since you last stopped by."

"Sorry about that" said Jaune "I've been with family."

Junior smiled.

"No need to apologize. Now what brings you here?"

"I came to warn you. I got attacked by the F.O.H today. I think the gang war is starting."

"Gang war started weeks ago" smirked Junior "me and the boys just been cleaning up the messes. But things are starting to escalate though. The F.O.H have gotten cocky, too cocky. They keep trying to muscle into my turf and into the center of Vale. The White Fang keeps stopping them but that's just because they don't know I exist yet."

"How the hell do they not know?" asked Jaune watching Pyrrha.

"They're smart no question" said Junior "but the fact remains that they're information capabilities suck. They had a set up in the sewers but that was just for contacting the other cells. They couldn't bust into Vale security if they had a hundred years. Sienna Kahn keeps her best tech's in her own cell rather than the others. Smartest move that woman did. If the likes of Adam had her resources…it wouldn't have ended as easily as it did Jaune let's just leave it at that. Now as for those F.O.H idiots…I doubt you'll see any of them tonight."

Jaune rose an eyebrow.

"Seriously?"

Junior nodded as he began cleaning glasses.

"Seriously. The merry band of idiots that attacked you in broad daylight ruined their element of surprise. My boys already took out a base, not to mention my little shadow took a few points of interest herself. I won't be able to contain them forever but it should be able to buy you and Ozpin enough time to deliver a few devastating blows."

"Give it to me straight" sighed Jaune "how's it looking?"

"It's going to get a lot worse before it gets better. If we're lucky we can keep the city out of the fight…but I think your claws are going to get some use before this war ends my friend."

Jaune clenched his fists.

"That bad?" asked Jaune.

"That bad. Senator Kelly, oh sorry HIGH LORD OF ALL HUMANITY KELLY!" dramatized Junior "has gotten his sticky little fingers into some important pies. His resources in media outstrip mine by a landslide. He's trying to get the White fang and the F.O.H to start fighting in the open and use his resources to manipulate the media into making it seem like the White Fang are causing riots."

"is he…is he retarded?" asked Jaune "that kind of manipulation would leave him open to blackmail and outright murder."

Junior smirked darkly.

"I know. But Kelly keeps himself locked up tight. Not even my little friend can get to him."

Jaune kept wondering why Junior wasn't outright talking about shadow…perhaps there was someone listening? No Junior would have sent him away than…perhaps he was being cautious than.

"You're worried" stated Jaune.

"Of course, I'm worried" sighed Junior "this may be the last peaceful day we got until things go FUBAR…The F.O.H are infiltrating the stadium tomorrow."

"The sport stadium? Why on Remnant?"

"Attention. They plan to make a statement…I think they plan to take Katherine Pride."

"Who?"

"The daughter of Kelly's political opponent. She's loves Hockey. Her mother and her visit the stadium whenever there is a game. She's also a Faunus."

"…. they're all going to die."

The way Jaune said it made it clear that he meant the F.O.H. The fact they would dare tread ground on a HOCKEY RINK of all things…he had underestimated the lows those idiots would go.

"Seriously you are obsessed with Hockey."

"There is no greater sport."

"Many would disagree but that's beside the point. Relax tonight man, leave it to me. Enjoy a night with your girl."

Jaune sighed. Junior's information was never wrong. Besides, when's the last time that he had a night just for him? Jaune tapped the bar twice for a drink. Junior smirked as he took out a black bottle. He poured an amber liquid and gave it to Jaune.

"Valish Silver" stated Junior, gesturing to the whiskey bottle in his hand "oldest damn bottle I've ever found. Aged 400 years give or take."

Jaune took the shot and shook his head as the drink burned its way through him. He titled his head and shrugged.

"nothing."

"I'm getting that magic shit I swear to god!" laugh Junior "maybe than I'll see you tipsy at least. Now get out of here and enjoy the night man."

Jaune smirked as he left the glass to his friend, making sure to leave a few thousand lien for him. He ignored Junior's annoyed squawking over the amount he left. He drifted through the dance floor, enjoying the way the beat echoed through his feet and into his chest. Jaune drifted his hand onto Pyrrha's shoulder, making her turn to him. A song began to play as the two smiled at each other. A drifting beat began to swim its way through the two.

-Sound Track: Watermelon Sugar, Harry Styles-

Jaune preferred Rock and Country himself but the slow beat of the song lend itself to him rocking with Pyrrha, the two enjoying the atmosphere. For that, Jaune would tolerate it. Even if the lyrics were a little odd. Pyrrha seemed to enjoy it though, allowing the music to flow through her body. Without thinking she let her arms wrap around Jaune's neck. Jaune gave a small rumble at the feeling, enjoying the scent that wafted into his nose. The two began to swing to the beat as Pyrrha's eyes remained closed. Jaune gave a small smile as he noticed her relaxing into their rhythm. He twirled her around and wrapped his arm around her stomach, enjoying the feel of her hair drifting beneath his nose.

"Enjoying yourself?" asked Jaune.

Pyrrha eeped as she drifted back into reality. Rather than let her separate from him, Jaune twirled her again and kept her at arm's length as they continued to dance. Pyrrha seemed thankful for the distance, even if Jaune could smell that she was conflicted about it. Jaune winked as the song began to slow down.

"Junior said it's unlikely that the F.O.H is acting tonight."

"I'm sure we should still patrol thought" said Pyrrha.

"He already gave me their next attack" said Jaune "the Remnant Stadium."

"What!?" whispered Pyrrha.

The song drifted to another, one with a pepper beat.

-Sound Track: Cooler Than Me, Lucky Luke-

Pyrrha fell into Jaune's lead as he grasped her hand and led her through his own rhythm.

"I already informed Ozpin. Junior's men are already patrolling the city as we speak. So…how about you dance hmm?"

Pyrrha jumped as Jaune closed the distance and smirked at her as he danced closer than she expected. Pyrrha gave a shaky smile as she followed. She finally relented when Ozpin's voice echoed through her mind.

"Relax Miss Nikos. It is as Jaune said. I should have included Junior's resources in our plans for tonight. If its true that the F.O.H are attacking the Stadium than me and Glynda will be busy boosting security if we can't stop the event all together. Enjoy the night, you have all done enough."

Pyrrha couldn't help but think this had more to do with Ozpin's discomfort regarding using her team than anything else…but as she looked into Jaune's eyes…

For once she found that duty could wait. Pyrrha blushed a bit as different song played. One that made Jaune grin at her even more.

-Sound Track: Magic, Zookeepers, TooManyLeftHands-

Jaune drifted further into the crowd, holding his hand out in invitation. The confident smirk he gave her made Pyrrha have a small thrill. A part of her enjoyed being led around…but another part of her felt something different rise up. A competitive spirit. Jaune blinked as Pyrrha grabbed his hand but pulled him into her lead. She smiled and laughed at Jaune's bewildered expression. She run her hands through her hair and bit her lip as rose an eyebrow. Jaune knew that look.

Can you keep up? She seemed to ask.

The other patrons couldn't help but stare at the two as they danced. A rare chemistry flowed between them as they seemed to flow into one another. The lead constantly switching between the two. A dance of dominance flowed between them. Pyrrha gasped as Jaune brought her close, nose touching. Jaune was pretty sure her blush was permanent. Yet, Jaune too had a blush…one that gave Pyrrha a sense of victory as she twirled away from Jaune. Junior smiled as he noticed Jaune having fun. The fact the man was smiling told Junior everything he needed to know.

Jaune had found his home.

Junior blinked as he noticed Shadow gripping his arm. He smiled as he caressed her cheek.

"You can run you know" he smiled "you don't have to face this with me."

Shadow gestured with her hands what she thought of that sentence. Junior laughed as he wrapped his arm around her.

"I thought as much. Get some rest than, we got a lo-WOAH!?"

Junior stumbled as Shadow practically dragged him to the dance floor.

"Wait I need to man the bar!?"

Junior turned and noticed the Malachite twins shaking the mixers between them and giving him a nasty grin.

"I own this place" laughed Junior "I can't be see dancin-WOAH!?"

Junior almost fell as Shadow dipped him, her dark clothes only accenting her curves as they danced.

Unknown to the group was a single person whistling on a rooftop across the club. He watched the various lights peer through the club doors. He flipped out his scroll and dialed a number. When the person answered he spoke.

"I could just blow the damn thing up ya know?" smirked the man.

The outfit he was wearing could be described in one word.

Stupid.

He was wearing all leather with a white bullseye on his forehead and some white accessories across his uniform. To anyone else this would be a lunatic waiting to get his ass kicked. The truth was far more sinister however. For this one man was considered the most dangerous marksmen to ever live.

"Negative. No amount of fire power you currently have will kill the subject. Attacking now will only risk our presence within the city. Study him and leave him be for now."

"Fine" sighed Bullseye "what about those F.O.H boys?"

"Infiltrate their organization and take whatever data they have. Some of their projects have some…interests for us."

"Easy enough" smirked Bullseye.

The man turned to the club one last time. He couldn't believe how easy it was to sneak up on these idiots. The hunter however was unaware of a certain crow watching his every move. As Pyrrha laughed into Jaune's arms the air of Vale began to thicken as a fire in the southern part of the city was crushed by a certain man and his erratic partner. Amongst the smoldering remains of a would be fire the screams of numerous White Fang soldiers echoed through the night as an angry woman declared war over a ruined date. The White Fang, The F.O.H, and a third party. Things were about to erupt in ways no one could expect as a pair of amber eyes glowed in the shadows of room. A hand reached out and shook another, its owner wearing a bowl hat and a begrudging fake smile. A deal was struck this night amidst the flames.

With that a thief was hired…and plans were put into motion.

"Do not fail me bullseye" muttered the woman.

The assassin actually shivered as he frowned.

"I wouldn't dream of it."

As he hung up Bullseye looked towards the city and smiled. Life was good at the moment. Even if the chick who hired him was a nut with magic and liked fire a little too much.

"Eh you lose some you get some" smiled the crazy assassin.

He would never "get it" as he would say but at least the man tried.

-Chapter End-

Till next time guys!
