"Wake up!" Kagome could barely register the words screamed at her before she felt the sharp pain of his hand across her face once again. Her eyes struggled to focus after that latest assault, but she was able to make out his hand reaching for her face again. Kagome turned her head as far as she could into her shoulder to try to lessen the blow to come. What came instead was a strangely gentle, yet forceful hand pulling her face back to look at him.

"Come now, my love. You mustn't be afraid of me. We are about to joined forever after all. Wouldn't be good to have you cowering every time I move, now would it?" The unknown man with the intensely frightening red tinted eyes smiled at her in a way that make her whole body recoil away from him, despite the restraints around both her ankles and wrists.

He was keeping her chained to a musty stone wall that reminded Kagome of the way movies always made old dungeons look. It was dark, but not so dark she couldn't take in her surroundings. She was glad for that because she needed every advantage she could get if she was going to get out of here. Brown eyes carefully followed her captor until he was across the room and out the single door the room contained. Her eyes heard the slight click of the deadbolt being locked and she held her breath as she listened to his footsteps get fainter and fainter.

Releasing a long breath, Kagome first looked at her wrist restraints. No use seeing anything else at the moment because none of it mattered until she was free from this wall. The wall held a strong linked chain that was wrapped around the roughly six inch metal bar separating her two thick cuffs before being linked back to the wall. She shuffled around and studied the places where the chain was attached to the stone. Eyes narrowed when she saw a slight crack in the stone just below the bottom chain holding her hands hostage.

Fearing to be hopeful, she leaned in closer and felt the crack with her fingers. She could almost slide her pinky finger into the widest part of the small fracture. Pulling her hands back towards her body, she saw the pin hinging her cuffs together. Try as she might, it would not budge free when she tried prying it out. But, she did manage to pull about an inch or so of it out, which she desperately hoped would be enough to pull the chain free from the wall.

Sucking in a deep breath, she strained her ears for any sign her kidnapper was returning. Finding none, she began attempting to get the small bit of pin into the pea sized hole below the chain. It took a few tries and a few different positions, but after a few minutes Kagome felt the tell-tale sink as the pin finally wedged itself into the wall. Immediately, she pulled down as hard as she could, straining her hands and wrists against the cuffs to pry herself free. Her muscles stretched and pulled to the point that she thought she would yank something out of place, but she pulled ever harder, determined to get free from this nightmare she had found herself in.

After several minutes that felt like hours to Kagome, she finally loosened the chain from it's clasp in the wall. As quickly and quietly as she could, she began feeding the chain around her cuff bar. Once she had that accomplished, she put one of the chain links around the end of the pin holding her cuffs together, placed her feet on either end of the chain and pulled it taut until it was slowly pulling the pin the rest of the way out. She couldn't help but give herself a mental pat on the back as she rid herself of the heavy restraints on her wrists.

Red marks marred the peaches n cream complexed skin where she had been wrenching so hard but the moment her hands were loose she set to work getting her ankles out the same way. Escaping her foot cuffs were much easier with the use of her fine motor skills returned to her. Heart pounding in her ears, Kagome tried her best to remain as calm as she could by taking a few slow deep breaths. She needed a clear head to keep going.

Finally freed from the damp wall, she shakily stood to take in the full brunt of her situation. Her eyes carefully scanned the relatively small room for anything that might be useful to her, either as a weapon or to assist in getting her the hell out of here. There were no windows or outside sources of light save the single hanging lamp with it's lonely and dim incandescent light bulb. There was only one door, made of what appeared to her to be solid wood, also with no windows.

The floor was remarkably clean for such a place. There was nothing there save a chain on the opposite end of the room, hanging down onto the floor from it's place on the wall. Even from this distance she could tell that chain was much thicker and stronger than the one she had been held by. Trying to pry it free would be a waste of precious time and energy.

Looking down at her own clothes, she found he had not deprived her of anything she had been wearing. Her thigh length, scarlet red wool coat was still held at her waist by it's belt of the same color. She could then assume that her dress underneath was also unaccosted. Her strappy red ballet flats were still in place on her feet and as she felt around in her coat, she found that he had not discovered her hidden inner pocket on the inside of her jacket. The pocket she had slipped her phone into just before sliding into that Uber car.

Gasping at the realization, she hurriedly opened her coat and fished out her phone. She had put it on 'do not disturb' while she and Sango were getting her ready for the party and she had spaced turning it off before leaving her dorm. Kagome found a slew of missed calls, voicemails and frantic text messages from Sango and Foxy. Fingers trembling as she opened up her dialing app and tapped the top name in her favorites, Kagome held her breath as she waited for the person on the other end to pick up their phone.

InuYasha paused as he felt his phone begin buzzing in his back pocket. His hand reached back and pulled it out so fast any onlooker would have sworn the phone had just appeared in the hanyou's hand. Seeing Kitty's name appear on the screen he quickly tapped the green checkmark and nearly screamed at the microphone, "Kitty?" he frantically asked the receiver.

"It's me," Kagome whispered. The sound was like music to InuYasha's ears.

"Are you alright?" Concern was apparent in his tone of voice.

"I... I think so. I don't know where I am, though. He's got me in some kind of basement, I think."

InuYasha's lips curled as he began a low growl deep in his chest at having his fears confirmed. "Who's 'he'?" He ground out.

"I don't know. I've never seen him before. But he acts like he knows me and I think he's going t-" Kagome's voice was cut off and all he could hear was rustling for several moments before he heard a faraway male voice speaking to Kagome.

"Clever little bitch, aren't you?" Kagome gasped as she felt his hand once again make hard contact with her face. Despite this, she turned back to face him, chocolate eyes burning with anger. Her captor merely chuckled at her.

InuYasha listened as he heard Kagome being dragged a short distance and placed into some sort of heavier restraints than what she had apparently already been in and escaped from. His heart froze in his chest as he realized that the bastard hadn't found out that she had her phone. She must've hidden it somewhere that he hadn't bothered to check. Putting himself on mute so he didn't risk being heard by the fucker who had her, InuYasha messaged Sango and Miroku.

I:

She called me

Shes ok but she doesnt know where she is and someone has her

M:

TRACK HER PHONE NOW

I:

How

M:

I put the app on your phone months ago. Just put her number in and it'll show you where she is.

InuYasha scrolled down to his apps and sure enough, he found a tracking app on his phone. He wanted to punch Miroku and kiss him at the same time, but he'd decide which to do later. Within seconds, the GPS tracker had given him a location for Kitty and it wasn't very far. Keeping the phone in his hand, the hanyou took off at full speed in the direction of the subway terminal near the campus.

In record time, the half demon was inside, sniffing the air for any sign of Kitty. He had been listening to the asshole on the other end of the line but he hadn't said anything useful in finding her. InuYasha ripped off the hat he was wearing to unobstruct his ears. Listening for several moments, he heard nothing out of the ordinary. This was beginning to make him very angry when he heard something on the other end of the phone.

"Ahh Kikyo, my beloved, it's almost time for us to become one!" The sound of Kitty's struggling and ripping fabric followed. InuYasha audibly growled and fisted his hand so tightly he drew blood from his palm. It was then that his ears just barely picked up the unmistakable sound of chains. His feet were carrying him in the direction the sound had come from before he even had to think it.

Kagome struggled as much as she could while the man pulled her along by her chains. She didn't know where he was taking her and she sure didn't want to find out. After a minute or so of the two of them fighting eachother, the creep had the audacity to pull her body flush against his own then lean down and sniff the length of her neck before whispering in her ear, "Come now, Kikyo, save the rough stuff for the honeymoon."

Kagome was shocked motionless by these actions, but she quickly recovered and shoved at him as much as she could with the cuffs in place. "GET YOUR DISGUSTING HANDS OFF OF ME!" She screamed at his face. His cold eyes narrowed at her while his hands gripped her arms tightly, to the point of nearly cutting off her circulation.

"Perhaps you should rest for a while. We do have a long night ahead of us, my darling Kikyo."

Kagome had just opened her mouth to tell him in no uncertain terms that she was not this Kikyo person, but the next thing she knew her vision was becoming blurry, her balance a little off kilter. Before her mind had realized she was going to pass out, the door they had been about to walk through was forced off it's hinges and a beautiful demon boy in a red hoodie stood there, looking rather menacingly at the man holding her. The last thing she remembered, the cute boy with very familiar looking dog ears was springing towards them both, claws on his right hand raised, screaming "LET HER GO, NARAKU!"

InuYasha's mind was reeling as he lunged at Naraku. How had he gotten out of the demon prison he'd been placed in 4 years ago? Why was he here, atleast 150 km from that same prison? Was the girl he had really Kikyo? How could that be? InuYasha had been told that Kikyo had moved to the mainland to marry her childhood sweetheart. If this girl was her, how had he not recognized her voice, her smell, anything? All of these thoughts ran through InuYasha's head in just a matter of milliseconds before his claws made contact with Naraku's shoulder. He had moved just in time to protect his throat, which the hanyou had been aiming for.

Naraku's steely gaze fell on InuYasha as he turned to face the enraged half-demon that was suddenly before him. He smirked at him, briefly glancing at the wound that had been inflicted on his shoulder. Blood trailed down the four long claw marks that ran from his collarbone to his bicep. The scratches weren't particularly deep, but they would take more time to heal than Naraku would like since InuYasha had very strong Inu-youkai blood running through his veins. He could see his own blood covering the claws of InuYasha's right hand and his irritation doubled. Pulling Kagome up to his good arm by the chains she was in, he swung her over his shoulder and turned to walk out the door, completely ignoring the hanyou behind him.

Growling, InuYasha raised his blood soaked claws and raked them through the air in a sweeping motion towards the bastard while yelling, "Blades of blood!" Five red crescent moon shaped magical 'blades' swept through the air and sliced into Naraku's back, chopping his clothes into tatters and slicing the man's skin several times. "I said, LET. HER. GO."

Head barely moving to the right to glance over his shoulder at the annoyance behind him, Naraku's voice bellowed suddenly, "Mukotsu!" As if from thin air, a short elderly looking man rounded the corner and looked at Naraku. Tossing the chains in the newcomer's direction, Naraku unceremoniously dropped Kagome onto the concrete ground, "Take her while I deal with this... nuisance." Without speaking, Mukotsu grasped the chains and began dragging Kagome from the room.

InuYasha sprung into action, leaping at the tiny man with his claws ready for contact. Instead, he was suddenly thrust back into the stone wall with such force it knocked the air from his lungs. He sat there, completely dazed, in a crumpled heap on the ground for what felt like an eternity to him but was really only a few seconds. His eyes trailed up to look through his choppy bangs at the threat across the room. Mukotsu was gone, presumably with Kitty in tow. Shit. But in his place was a woman much closer in age to InuYasha himself. Her short black hair was pulled up into a small ponytail high on her head, her lips unnaturally red, though not from makeup. Her clothes were old fashioned and she held a fan in her hand, glaring with her red tinted eyes in his direction.

Pulling himself onto his feet, InuYasha faced the woman. "Look lady, I don't know who ya are, and I don't really give a fuck. But if you get in my way, I will end you. So MOVE."

A small smile spread across the woman's face. She raised the fan above her head as she spoke to InuYasha, "I am Kagura of the wind, the last face you shall see before you die." Sweeping the fan down in a swift motion, Kagura cried out, "Dance of blades!" A multitude of white streaks made their way towards InuYasha so fast he barely had time to spring out of the way. The attack landed in the wall he had been standing in front of, blasting a few crevices into the stone.

He faced his new threat with a steely glare as he cracked his knuckles in each fist, prepping to use them on the newcomer. "That's the last mistake you'll ever make!" he yelled, charging at Kagura at top speed. InuYasha took note of her raising the fan once again and smirked to himself. His feet suddenly left the ground as his hand swiped at the fan in Kagura's hand.

Watching as it landed several feet away, Kagura looked taken aback by this action from her foe. But before she could react, she found herself against the wall behind her, InuYasha's hand around her throat. "Where did he take her?" he growled at her, his patience wearing thin. Kagura's eyes narrowed at him as she looked up at his face.

"He has the penthouse suite at the Four Souls Hotel," she answered through gritted teeth. InuYasha released her and without another word, he sped out of the room, leaving Kagura alone and very confused.

As he ran out onto the street, InuYasha pulled his phone out and dialed Miroku. His friend picked up on the second ring.

"Please tell me you found her?" Miroku asked in lue of a greeting.

"Sorta, this fucker's got her at the Four Souls Hotel. I'm on my way there now, but I need you to get Sesshomaru down there, too."

"You... what?" Miroku asked, completely dumbfounded by the request.

"You heard me, get that asshole down there, now! I need his backup. Tell him it's about breach of the demon-human treaty and if he doesn't it will be all over the news and it'll be a PR nightmare for the Lord of the West if he doesn't do as I say right fucking now!"

"Yea, sure, ok. On it," Miroku replied.

Shoving the phone back in his pocket, InuYasha leapt onto the roof of a nearby building and sprang from rooftop to rooftop in the direction of the Four Souls Hotel.

The first thing Kagome realized as she began to come to was that she was definitely not where she had been when she had been knocked out. Her eyes slowly focused on the room around her. She was laying on a huge four poster bed in a rather large room. She could see another grand room separated by sliding doors that had been left open. There was a couch and lounge chair facing the TV on the opposite wall as well as what appeared to be a mini fridge and large kitchenette.

Attempting to sit up, Kagome found she could not move her body and not because of any form of restraint. Her mind reeled with the possibilities of what that might mean, but before she had much time to contemplate it, a small, rather ugly looking elderly man came into her view from her right.

"Ahh, you're awake! How delightful! Naraku will be pleased to know his bride won't be asleep for her own wedding," Mukotsu said, his voice sending massive creepy vibes curling up Kagome's spine. She tried to open her mouth to speak, but even that had been stolen from her. Seeing his charge's mouth twitch ever so slightly, Mukotsu sneered down at her. "Don't bother trying to scream, my dear. The poison I have given you has completely immobilized you. Don't worry, it's not permanent, but it will last for a few hours atleast. long enough to hold the ceremony."

Kagome watched as this creep leered down at her, his eyes trailing down her body, lingering on her ample bosom. She felt like she wanted to throw up. His hand came to rest on her calf, his fingers slowly stroking up and down as he began speaking again. "Naraku won't be back for a while yet, what do you say we have some fun before he returns, shall we?" His hand trailed up her leg under the skirt of the red, slinky satin dress she had donned earlier that evening in preparation for meeting Foxy.

Skin crawling under the unwanted touch, Kagome struggled inwardly to make her body move, but to no avail. She watched in horror as he climbed up onto the bed and straddled her by her waist. He reached up and pulled her dress down, exposing her emerald green lacy bra that barely did anything to conceal what was beneath. Mukotsu's grin widened at the sight, his mouth practically watering. Kagome concentrated even harder on forcing her body to move, flinch, anything to get her out of this, but just as her attacker had reached to pull up her dress for better access, he was suddenly ripped off of her and flung across the room, hitting the wall opposite the bed with such force that it made a noticeable dent in the drywall.

"I TOLD YOU NOT TO TOUCH HER YOU DISGUSTING PIECE OF FILTH! GET OUT OF MY SIGHT BEFORE I KILL YOU MYSELF!" Kagome looked at her savior and realized he was no savior at all, but the very man who had put her in this predicament in the first place. She could hear as Mukotsu scurried out of the room. She lay helpless as Naraku turned back to her and proceeded to put her dress back into it's place, her skin once again crawling as she felt his fingers linger on her body. He looked up at her face once he had succeeded in covering her back up and gave her a smile that did nothing to make her feel any better.

"So sorry for that, my darling Kikyo. Good help is so hard to find these days," he chuckled at his own bad joke. "Now, we have to get you ready for the ceremony, don't we? Not much time left before midnight, afterall!" Naraku clapped his hands together once and four young women came into Kagome's view, two on either side of her. They each had their heads bowed respectfully as they awaited instruction. Naraku crossed the room and opened the closet she hadn't noticed was there. Inside was a traditional bride's kimono and accessories. "Hurry up and get her dressed and up onto the roof. We have to be married before midnight or all of this is for nothing!"

"Yes, master Naraku," all four women replied in unison, their voices oddly robotic to Kagome's ears. Without any further instruction, Naraku turned and exited the suite, leaving her alone with the four strange women.

InuYasha couldn't remember ever having ran as fast as he was at that moment. For the first time in his life he was actually starting to feel just a bit winded, yet it still felt like it took forever for the Four Souls Hotel to come into his view. Seeing the sign on the building that was his goal only made his legs move even faster. His heart pounded with the possibilities of what could be happening to Kitty at this very moment and he wasn't there to protect her.

As he prepared to jump onto the roof of the building across from the hotel, his brother, Sesshomaru, was suddenly directly in front of him. He had to skid to a stop in order to prevent himself from ramming head first into the asshole's hard chest.

"Hello, little brother. To what do I owe this sudden need of my attentions?" Sesshomaru inquired as way of greeting InuYasha.

"Naraku is here and he has a girl he claims is Kikyo. We have to stop him before he tries again," InuYasha answered as he stooped to continue running. Sesshomaru's eyes narrowed, but he crouched next to his brother and the pair leapt over to the roof of the Four Souls Hotel in perfect unison. But before they could make another move, a massive pink wave of pure spiritual energy swept over the entire area, hitting them both like an atomic bomb. Both men were knocked off of their feet and had they not been demons, they both would have been shoved off the roof all together. Each of them swirled in the air with the grace of a cat and landed gently on the roof's ledge.

"FUCK! WE'RE TOO FUCKING LATE!" InuYasha screamed as he bounded toward the source of the huge blast.

'What the fuck was happening?' InuYasha thought as he ran. This girl could not be Kikyo, but she was the only person he knew who could possibly possess that level of spiritual power. But she was safely across the ocean, hundreds of kilometers away from this disaster. Was it truly possible? Could it really be her? But... why?
