Marinette stared into Adrien's green eyes. Something about dancing with him always felt right. "Are you hot, your face is really red?" Adrien asked, with his face having a twinge of concern.

"Y-yeah, I- I think that maybe Alya should've installed fans." Marinette felt weird. She was over Adrien, she was dating Luka. She swallowed whatever feelings were emerging down and took a deep breath. "I am fine. I think the lights are just making me hot." Marinette nodded towards the lights near the DJ booth, evidently, a beam was pointed right at them.

"Let's move then." Adrien swiftly pulled her out of the spotlight, and elegantly twirled her. He stared at her as his face was nearly inches from her. "How has your summer been so far Marinette?"

"It has been good, actually. I am really busy between my commissions for Jagged Stone and…" being the guardian of the miraculous, Marinette thought, "babysitting Manon that I can find it hard to find time to hang out with Luka or Alya, but I am having a blast nonetheless. This may be my most productive vacation so far!" Marinette beamed. She had finally achieved the life that she wanted. She was surrounded by friends, she had a boyfriend who devoted all his attention to her, she was thriving.

"I am glad that you're having fun! You have seemed stressed recently, and I just wanted to remind you that I am here for you, you know. You don't have to endure anything alone. I know that you have Alya and… Luka, but don't forget I am here for you. For anything." Adrien held her slightly closer, swaying back and forth to the rhythm. Marinette couldn't help but notice a twinkle in his eyes. "I would like to hang out with you guys more often, especially now that father is gone. I might be able to have a relatively normal summer. Well, as normal as a super-model with an overprotective father can have," Adrien and Marinette both chuckled.

"I would love to hang out more, you're a great friend, Adrien." The two slowly danced to the music until it faded into a more upbeat tune. Adrien let go of Marinette and waved goodbye to her as he headed towards Nino. Marinette stared at the blond. He seemed very upbeat after their encounter. I think I am going to try and give him the best summer experience he can have.

"My melody, what plans do you have for today?" Luka asked as he sat on the edge of Marinette's chaise. Marinette was rummaging through piles of fabric with a bunch of sewing pins sitting in her teeth. She pulled out a dark navy blue piece of fabric and muffled the words "aha" as she ran over to her sewing machine. Slowly she pulled the pins out of her mouth and then answered her doting boyfriend.

"Well, today I have to finish this commission for Bob Roth. He wants a unique shoulder strap for one of his new artist's guitar. Apparently, the kid wants that to be his schtick... " Marinette rolled her eyes. She grabbed the guitar strap and started marking where she wanted the fabric to be sewn with a white pencil. Luka just stared at the girl with admiration, allowing the two to just sit in silence as Marinette made sense of the chaos in front of her.

For nearly 2 hours Luka played guitar while Marinette finished the guitar strap. Finally, Luka was awakened from his musical trance with a "Tada!" from his girlfriend. She had finished the guitar strap so that it appeared to be a night sky. She had somehow made it so that her separate pieces of fabric created a galaxy. "You see, I made the stars to be tiny guitar pins…" Marinette breathlessly explained the deep meaning of each detail in the strap. "I know that most, if not all, of the audience at his concerts won't understand the meaning or notice the details… but at least the three of us know. I spent all this time on a strap for an artist I don't know…"

"I am sure he'll love it! You're Marinette, my melody." Luka grabbed the strap out of her hand and placed it on her table. He then held his hand under her chin, "can I kiss you?"

"Yes." Marinette was then pulled into a kiss with her love, a pink blush flooding her face. She loved Luka. This is who she was meant to be with.

"Let's go on our date then, now that you have your commission done you are spending the rest of the day with me," Luka said with a hint of deviance.

"Adrien, your father has arranged for you to have a photoshoot at 6 am tomorrow morning. Once you finish that, he says you are free for the day, if you can perform Grande Valse Brillante to his standard. I will check on your performance in an hour. I want you to be able to hang out with your friends, Adrien. Practice." Nathalie closed the door to Adrien's bedroom, leaving him to stare at the one occupied space.

"You hear that Plagg? If I get this right, I can hang out with my friends tomorrow!" Adrien exclaimed, throwing a piece of camembert at Plagg. Adrien glued himself to the piano for the remaining hour, ensuring every note was played correctly at the right time and tempo. By the time Nathalie came into his room, he was about to go insane. Hearing and practicing the same song would drive anyone to insanity.

Nathalie came in holding her tablet, with famous designer Gabriel Agreste staring through it. "Adrien, I expect nothing but excellence from you. Proceed." Adrien did proceed, and he excellently executed the piece as well. Gabriel Agreste was satisfied. "You are permitted to hang out with your friends, just don't go anywhere without notifying your bodyguard. Attend the photoshoot in the morning, cooperate, and you can do whatever it is that you desire. That is all."

Adrien could barely sleep that night. He had video-called all his friends, and they were going to a movie, then to Alya's place to play a new videogame. He couldn't even hold in the excitement. Adrien got tired of staring at his ceiling, so he jumped out of bed. "Plagg, Claws Out!" Chat Noir vaulted the roofs of Paris until he reached one that faced the Eiffel Tower. He sat there for hours until he heard a familiar thud of his lady behind him.

"What are you doing out? Tonight is my patrol. Did you forget?" Ladybug asked her partner.

"No, I just couldn't sleep." Chat Noir sighed. "I have a big event… well to me it is big… tomorrow. I am just excited to be a normal teen."

"I understand. I don't get those days often either. I wish there was one day where I didn't have to think about Shadowmoth or the kwamis. But now that I am Guardian…" Ladybug trailed off.

"You know LB, you're not alone. You can always talk to me. Maybe the whole world can't know your secret, but at least I do." Chat smiled playfully.

"Speaking of which Chat, I need to let you know something. I haven't told you yet because I wanted to make sure it was serious, and I didn't want to tell you about it on the exact date for identity reasons, but… I have a boyfriend."

"A boyfriend huh, that just means I will have to get more crafty with my flirting," Chat Noir smirked at his partner, who was not amused. "I am kidding m'lady. I'll keep the flirting to a minimum, but remember no one can captivate me as much as you m'lady."

"Thank you for taking this so well, Chaton. I thought you would be more upset." Ladybug looked at her partner, whose face still had a devilish grin. "You should sleep, you know, being a superhero doesn't mean you're immune to sleep deprivation you know…" Chat Noir waved off her comment but eventually left.

To be honest, Chat did feel a pang in his heart. He knew that his lady was in love with another, but now she is with them. Now it would be ungentlemanly for him to flirt with a taken lady, so he would have to push his feelings down. Chat Noir arrived at his house, and he aimed directly for his bed. "Plagg claws out."

"So what if your bug has found her cheese, you've got plenty of options. You haven't talked to Kagami in a while, or what about pigtails?" Plagg asked, sitting on Adrien's shoulders.

"I - I don't need any more love interests right now Plagg. Regardless, Kagami is spending her summer in Japan. Pigtails, she's taken too." Adrien looked up at his ceiling, once again unable to sleep, but instead, it was for a not-so-pleasant reason. "I just don't know if I can not be in love with Ladybug. I have loved her since I saw her."

Adrien stared at the ceiling for what seemed to be hours before his eyelids finally closed.

"Marinette, I am sorry, but I can't go to the movies with you guys. Juleka is really sick and Mom must've caught whatever she had too. I don't want to risk your health, and I need to take care of them. We can hang out next week, I promise." Luka smiled genuinely over the phone screen.

"It is fine Luka. You stay as healthy as you can. We are going to hang out twice as much next week to make up for your absence though," Marinette winked. "Do you need anything before I leave to go to the movies? Medicine?"

Luka shook his head. "No, really, I am fine. They just need some rest. Have a fun day, my melody." Marinette hung up the call and grabbed her purse.

"It is a shame that Luka can't come. But today we have a mission: Give Adrien the best 'Normal' day!" Marinette proclaimed to Tikki. Marinette looked down at her phone, "oh I am going to be late!"

Marinette ran to the movie theater to find Adrien, Nino, and Alya waiting for her. "Where is Luka?" The trio asked.

"His sister and mom are both sick, they need to be taken care of and he didn't want to spread anything." Marinette shrugged. "I think if we run we can still catch the previews!" The group went into the theatre. Adrien and Nino stayed behind to wait in line to get popcorn and snacks while the girls headed inside to watch the previews. Marinette and Alya sat with two seats in between them and placed their bags on the seats that they wanted to reserve for the boys. The boys eventually arrived. Nino sat next to Alya and handed her some thin mints, and Adrien sat next to Marinette with two tiny containers of popcorn, handing one to Nino once he sat down.

"Nino decided that it was better to get two small containers of popcorn, so we wouldn't have to pass a large one between the four of us." Adrien smiled and gestured the container towards Marinette, inviting her to take some popcorn. Marinette happily popped some into her mouth, and the movie finally started, and she was excited to see this movie. It was a comedy, and with all the complex emotions she'd been feeling, some simple joy was refreshing.

The group had long finished their popcorn, and the movie was nearly at its end. Marinette went to rest her hand on her chair but found that Adrien had the same idea. His hand fell on top of hers, and either he didn't notice or he didn't care, because he didn't move it. He continually laughed at the corny jokes, but his hand didn't move. Marinette didn't want to move her hand in fear that he was blissfully unaware of her hand being there.

The movie ended, and Adrien grabbed her hand. Well, he was not unaware then. He helped her up, and then let go, but held her hand for what seemed longer than appropriate before doing so. The group then headed to Alya's place, with a ride from the Gorilla. Marinette was sat in the middle with Alya, with Adrien next to her. Adrien had his arm around her, and partially Alya. They arrived at Alya's apartment and set up the new game.

The group played for what seemed like minutes, but nighttime fell, and that was an indication that Adrien should head home. Marinette decided to have a sleepover with Alya, and Nino hitched a ride with Adrien. "I think Adrien got a good taste of a normal teenager's day, minus the bodyguard," Marinette said to Alya.

"Yeah, and he seemed to have a lot of fun too. I think we should take advantage of the fact that his dad is out of town and have more hangouts. Maybe even another party. Nino really wants to see his chick hatch…" Remarked Alya.
