Bella was lying on a bed at the Health Center after a hour of arguing with Paul. She wanted to change into something more suitable than the atrocious doll dress she had on earlier. After Paul helped her into a different blue dress, he grabbed her overnight bag. Paul called Sue, notifying that Bella's water broke and that she was having contractions. Paul ended up carrying her into the center, running, claiming it was faster than driving. It only took them six minutes. As they entered the center, Sue was there, rushing them to the back. She had already called the doctors in town.

Bella watched as Sue placed the IV accordingly. Sue looked over at Paul, who disappeared a second later. A second later, they heard wolves howling until at each other. Bella blinked.

"He's just letting the pack know what's happening." sue say to her

Paul was a few meters in the forest, already in wolf form. He let out a loud howl, calling for a meeting. He had to let them know what was sat there in silence, waiting for others to howl back. Sam, Jared, and Embry were the first to come. The rest followed a few seconds later.

"Hey, bro, what's going on? Is Bella okay?" Jared thought frantically, looking at his best friend with worry. It was a little early for the twins to arrive.

Paul stared at the four of them, a little frightened. "Bella's water broke an hour ago." A vision of the scene replayed in his mind; Bella in a sexy dress, water pooling at her feet.

Everyone let out a sneeze-like sound, mocking laughter. "Aw, your kids are assholes just like you. That's hilarious," Jacob mocked.

Paul couldn't help but laugh, too. His kids were already showing similarities between them and their father."Sue called a doctor to come in from town. I'm worried, their heart beats are really strong, but I feel like something's wrong," Paul looked at the ground.

"Why did you call us?" Seth queried, sitting down.

Sam darted his big eyes towards Paul, trying to see into Paul's mind. "You're scared of messing up." Sam's tone was sure, even in his mind.

Paul touched the tip of his muzzle to the damp forest floor. "I know Bella's going to be a great mom to our boys…buy me? I mean, almost a year ago I went to a bar for a hook up, but I ended up finding my soul mate. Then, when I thought I lost her forever, I thought it was punishment for all the stupid things I've ever done. Then, Jacob brings her into the shop – she was a total stranger to him. It was too coincidental. Out of nowhere, she tells me she's having twins. I didn't know if it was a gift from the gods or if they were just fucking with me." Paul's wolf huffed. "I never had to take care of anyone other than myself and this pack. It's scary as hell thinking about having to take care of someone else. They're going to be looking up to me. I keep telling Bella that everything's going to be fine, but I feel like I'm kidding myself. I don't know how to be a dad."

"Dude, the way you're feeling, that's how all fathers feel with their firstborn…firstborns, in this case. Remember when Kim and I had our first? You and Sam had to track me down because I was having a panic attack." Jared reminded him, a small memory of it displaying itself.

"Yeah, when Emily had Sammie, I was pissed at myself. Some of us know what you're going through, and some of us have yet to find out. Also, no one knows a perfect father, but at least you know what not to do." Sam interjected.

Paul let out a long breath. He would never let his boys know how it felt to be all alone or not good enough. He knew Bella would be there to help him out. Plus, the pack lives in the same neighborhood. They were all a huge a few minutes, the town doctor's car drove by, making Paul whine. He darted out of the woods and transformed back into his human form, shrugging on the clothes he left nearby. When he walked into the center, the doctor was already in Bella's room checking her.

"How's she doing?" Paul sounded out of breath.

"So far so good. They're just about ready to come out!" Bella grinned.

Paul stared at her while she beamed at him. Her smile lightened up her face, and she was, quite possible, the most beautiful girl Paul has ever laid eyes upon. After the doctor finished checking the basics, he stepped back, allowing Paul to stand by Bella's side, squeezing her hand.

"Everything seems to be fine," the doctor informed him.

"When do you think she's ready?" Paul asked.

"She's only dilated about three centimeters, so there's still a long wait. I will go talk to Sue and I'll be back in a moment's time." The doctor left the room, gently closing the door behind him.

"Where have you been?" Bella queried.

"I was with the pack, letting them know it's almost time…and they were helping me calm down," Paul admitted, kissing her forehead. "You better get some rest, it's going to be a long wait."

She nodded, her eyes already droopy. Then, shot out of bed when she heard the most terrifying shriek.

"Where is she?!" Angela dashed into the room. "How dare you not tell me your water broke!"

"I'm sorry, Ang, I was a little busy," Bella retorted, irritated.

Paul shook his head when Embry entered the room. "I'm sorry, Gummy Bear, I told her to wait until morning, but you know how much of a pain in the ass she is," Embry apologized, smirking.

"Shut up, I wanted to help my sister," Angela frowned.

"She has Paul, Sue, and the town doctor. They would have told us if the boys were actually, you know, coming," Embry pointed out.

"Well, that's not good enough for me," Angela frowned harder. Paul noticed that Bella was drifting to sleep.

"Hey, guys, we love you both, but Bella really needs to get some rest. You can stay, but shut up," Paul said, sternly.

"Hey, there's one thing you can do for me, can you call mom and dad and let them know?" Bella slurred, eyes already closed.

"See, she does need me," Angela snorted, taking out her cell phone.

Paul rolled his eyes. "She only asked you to do that so that you'd leave the room." Angela stuck out her tongue at him, promptly leaving the room.

After ten hours, Bella's contraction's intervals were narrowing and narrowing. The doctor said it might be another hour or two before it's time to push. Paul stayed by her side the whole time, never leaving her unless for a bathroom break.

Another painful contraction came around and Bella wailed. "They're never coming out! They just want to stay in there forever to cause me pain and keep me fat!" she growled, screaming as the next contraction came around.

Paul sighed. "Babe, you need to calm down."

Bella, face beading with sweat, came him an atrocious smile. "Did you just fucking tell me to calm down? Yeah, tell me that again, tell me that when you feel how painful it is to give birth to two little humans!"

Paul widened his eyes at the thought. At that moment, Sue and the doctor came back.

"How are you feeling, Bella?" the doctor asked. Bella shot him a look. "Let's see how far you are…looks like you're just about ready. That was quicker than expected."

"Thank god!" Bella yelled. Paul thought the same.

Sue smiled. "Don't worry, I already called Sam and he told everyone."

After Paul put on the sanitary gown, he took hold of Bella's hand. Her legs were already in position. She was too eager to get the birthing done and over with.

The doctor kneel down in front of Bella, instructing her to push when she's ready. After ten minutes, a baby's head was in view.

Sixteen pushes went by before they heard the first loud cry of an infant. Jackson was born first at 8:35 in the morning. Daxon came along at 8:47 in the morning. Sue was already crying.

The doctor looked up at Paul. "Would you like to cut the umbilical cord?" he proposed.

Paul nodded, letting go of Bella's clammy hand. He looked at the babies' heads, they were both crying up a storm. He grinned widely; finally, both of them arrived. Tears started to well up in his eyes, rolling down his cheeks. They were dark with a thick mop of hair on their little heads. They were identical. They had Bella's nose and ears, but the rest was all him.

Paul cut the umbilical cord, and watched as Sue cleaned them up. She handed Jackson to Paul and Daxon to Bella. Bella looked exhausted, but she had just enough energy to hold her boys. She was crying absentmindedly, in awe of the resemblance between them and their father.

She was so happy. As Paul and Bella held their boys, the world finally felt like it made sense. Everything seemed to fall into place. Everything was almost perfect. And now, all that's left is meeting the rest of their family.
