A/N: Big Chapter :3 Be prepared, that is all I am going to say..;)

Marinette woke up to someone shaking her shoulders, whispering something about a movie being over. She felt warm and comfy, so she didn't want to get up. She opened her eyes and saw...legs? Marinette sat up, her eyes were still hazy, and stared forward. Who is sitting next to me?

"Marinette, I am going to go home. I will see you later," someone patted her head, their figure a blur to her sleepy eyes, "thank you for hanging out with me today." She watched as the hatch to her bedroom shut. Marinette yawned and slowly crawled up to her bed, falling asleep once again.

Marinette woke up to sunlight pouring through her windows. This is probably the best I have slept in a while. "Goodmorning Tikki," Marinette greeted her Kwami laying next to her head. She made her way down her bedroom ladder and started to get dressed.

"I was about to wake you up," Tikki said, "your parents have that catering event today, remember?" Marinette's eyes went wide.

"Shoot! I completely forgot about that. I- I didn't set an alarm," she looked at her phone and sighed knowing that she didn't have to be ready for another 15 minutes, "I don't quite remember what happened last night, I just know that I was tired."

"Well you were watching a movie with Adrien and then you fell asleep on him... then he left after the movie ended," Tikki answered.

"I did WHAT?" Marinette asked, "oh did I embarrass myself? Did I snore?"

"No, I don't think so. I don't think Adrien minded very much," Tikki consoled.

Marinette finished getting dressed and rushed down to the bakery.

Adrien had been unable to fall asleep. He met the Gorilla at the park, not wanting to indicate to his bodyguard that he was over at a girl's house, even though Nathalie probably already knew he was. They drove in silence, as usual, and Adrien arrived at his house to find Nathalie waiting for him. She lectured him and informed him that his father was grounding him from everything. He would have no access to any communication devices, TV, games, and his computer. They also informed him that they were installing security cameras all throughout the house, including outside his room. Adrien didn't care though, he was in a haze from spending his whole day with Marinette. He stared at his ceiling the whole night with a lovesick look on his face.

The sun started to shine, indicating to him that he had stayed up all night, but he still didn't care. All he could do was picture Marinette's cute face as she slept, and how she snuggled into him. I love her. Adrien got up and showered, knowing that Nathalie would be in his room any minute to ruin his mood and tell him what he had to do today. When he came out, he heard a knock on his door. Perfect timing...

"Your father is furious with you Adrien, I hope you know that. Do not expect to get any of your things back any time soon," Nathalie looked down at her tablet, not acknowledging him, "you are to attend a fashion debut even as the face of the Gabriel brand. Be on your best behavior."

No, I won't Nathalie. What are you going to do? Kick me out? "Fine. I will attend," Adrien answered, "when do I have to leave?"

"25 minutes," Nathalie walked over and placed an outfit on Adrien's bag, "wear this, it is a new design that is going to be in the latest issue. Wear it with one of the new watches we promoted last month. Be in the car on time." Nathalie left Adrien alone in his room. He wanted to defy her, he wanted to defy his father, but he knew that he went too far yesterday. As bad as he wanted to defy his father, deep down Adrien was a good son and he knows it.

After he got dressed and became as presentable as his father would want, he got into his bodyguard's car. The event was run by an influential family, who were trying to launch their own fashion brand. The family paid for it to take place at a very lavish venue, and hired the best of the best to attract wealthy clients.

Adrien stepped out onto a red carpet with cameras and lights flashing in his face, and he tried his best to keep a composed face. Once he got into the door he was invited by a familiar smell, one of pastries and macarons. He spotted two familiar faces, Tom and Sabine. Oooh, I understand why it smelled familiar now. He proceeded to walk directly to them. I wonder if Marinette is here. "Hi!" Adrien waved at the two.

"Hello dear," Sabine said, waving back, "Marinette should be around here somewhere. She is helping us cater. She should be wearing the same uniform as the other workers. Here because of your father?"

"Yes," Adrien answered, immediately scanning the room for Marinette, "thank you for letting me come to dinner last night."

"No problem, son, you are welcome any time," Tom said with a wink.

Adrien walked around the room, a smile plastered on his face that was finally genuine. Marinette is here with me, I just have to find her. He greeted anyone who approached him, and answered questions, and took photos, but his mind was elsewhere. Where was she? Finally, he spotted her, holding a tray of croissants.

"Marinette!" Adrien rushed over to the girl, who looked surprised by his presence. "I didn't know that you would be here! I- I knew you were catering an event but," Adrien nervously laughed.

"Yeah, my parents were asked to cater since they're 'the best bakers in Paris,' and they asked me to help cater," Marinette said, "at least I am getting paid... not much though... Croissant?"

"Sure," Adrien gleefully grabbed a croissant and bit into it. His joy, however, was short-lived. A very large and angry akumatized villain busted through the doors of the venue.

"I deserved to be the model! Not her," the villain pointed at a young model wearing one of the family's debut outfits. "I will expose you for your lies and wear MY DRESS and MY DEBUT!" The villain ran towards the girl and touched her dress. A large flash occurred and the girl turned into a goblin-like creature, and the dress swapped with the villain's outfit, putting the goblin in her hideous tattered dress. The villain laughed, morphing into the girl. "I have stolen all of your beauty! No one will want you now!" The villain laughed.

Adrien dropped his croissant and ran to hide behind a corner and transform, "Plagg, claws out!"

Adrien was about to go back out into the crowd when he saw Marinette running. Where is she going? Adrien followed her and regretted it instantly. He witnessed a flash of pink and saw Marinette turn into Ladybug. Marinette... is Ladybug... MARINETTE IS LADYBUG... Marinette knows Chat Noir is in love with her... I fell in love with the same girl twice...

Ladybug ran back to the venue to find Chat Noir standing at her, his jaw practically on the floor, "What?"

"N-nothing m'lady," it was clear to Ladybug that Chat was staring her up and down.

"No time for flirting, Kitty. We have an akuma to catch," Ladybug ran towards the villain, and Chat followed.

They were facing a large opponent. Whoever they touched they could morph into and could turn into goblins. It would be bad if the villain touched either one of them. Where is that akuma? Ladybug hoped that the villain wouldn't see them, and when she saw Chat Noir running towards the villain, she yoyoed him to her side. Whenever she changes form the only thing that is consistent is her dangling earring... it must be in there.

"Chat?" Ladybug looked at her partner, whose face was red as can be, "I need you to cataclysm her earrings, subtly please..." He nodded and she released him from her grasp. She watched as he ignited his cataclysm and the akuma released. She jumped into action and captured the akuma. The girl returned to a normal state. She is pretty.

"Are you okay?" Ladybug extended her hand to the girl, who graciously accepted it.

"I am sorry Ladybug, but she," the girl said with anger in her voice, "lied about me, causing them to pick her as their debut model." Ladybug looked at the culprit who looked ashamed.

Adrien returned to the party, still a little shocked from the idea that Marinette is Ladybug, but continued to keep his composure when talking to business owners. He had gotten a few deals for the Gabriel brand and decided that he did his work for the night, and decided to try and find Marinette. He found her rather easily since she tripped and dropped a few pastries on the floor, to her parent's dismay.

"Here, let me help you," Adrien extended his hand to Marinette and helped her up. He noticed her face got red. That is the Marinette I know. He grabbed a few pastries off the floor and threw them away into a trash can near him. "How has being a caterer been going for you?"

"Besides dropping a few, it has been good. That akuma was weird," Marinette mentioned.

"Yeah, Ladybug was so swift and quick to defeat her. It was almost as if the akuma was never here," Adrien stared at the girl, I can't believe that I fell for her twice. "I also wanted to tell you that I most likely won't be able to hang out with you guys for," Adrien sighed, "a while. He took nearly all my things and won't let me out of the house unless it is for business or lessons."

"Oh," Marinette's face fell. "Well, at least school is going to start in a few weeks right? He wouldn't ground you from school right?"

"I hope not," Adrien looked at Marinette, who looked extremely upset, "look Marinette, sneaking out was completely my idea. I accepted that there would be consequences the moment I decided I wanted to hang out with you. I am sure everything will be okay." Adrien grabbed the tray from Marinette and set it down. He grabbed her into an embrace, and they didn't pull away from one another until a 'clicking' sound was heard. This caused Adrien's demeanor to change immediately, as he whipped to face the camera of a paparazzi. "What are you doing?"

"Taking photos, Mr. Ageste," the photographer shrugged, "this is an event after all."

"I have been here for hours, talking to many influential people, and not one photo was taken of me. The moment I have a private conversation with a friend, you decide to take a photo. Of course, that is all you paparazzi do. You meddle in people's lives. Now I bet you are going to slap that on a news article that says something like 'Adrien Agreste has a new girlfriend' or something and interfere with our lives. I demand you delete the photo."

"No can do Mr. Agreste. The press will eat this up. First, you have a public fight with Luka, guitarist of Kitty Section, now you're rendezvousing with his ex-girlfriend... this is gold, I can't delete it."

"Delete. It." Adrien was furious.

"Nope," the photographer wasn't fazed.

"Adrien, it is okay, really," Marinette reached out and grabbed Adrien's shoulder, turning him towards her, "I don't care what any dumb news articles say, really."

"I know you don't care. I don't care either. My father cares. If he sees this photo he is going to become even madder at me, and maybe even ban me from seeing..." Adrien looked away, tears forming in his eyes, "you..."

"It'll be okay, I will even talk to them if you need," Marinette grabbed his chin, and staring directly into his eyes she said, "we will get through this, together. I am your friend, remember." Yeah, a friend, and that is it. Adrien nodded and took a deep breath.

"Can I at least make something clear to you?"

"Yeah sure, whatever you want blondie, as long as I keep getting this content between you two," the photographer said, eyeing the teens.

"Marinette is my friend, she has, and always will be. I never broke Luka and Marinette up, and she can concur with that," Adrien said, pointing to Marinette, "I just happened to catch Luka at a bad time and he snapped at me."

"Sure, whatever you say blondie. Thanks for the pics by the way girly," the photographer snapped his fingers towards Marinette, causing her face to get red with anger. He walked away staring down at his camera, the two teens still filled with rage.

Adrien grabbed his phone and texted the Gorilla that he was ready to go home. Marinette and Adrien sat in an unoccupied corner of the venue while he waited for his car. "It will be okay Adrien, who knows, maybe your father won't be so mad?"

"It is possible. I could also ask Nathalie to maybe try and suppress the photo, but I am not sure if she will succeed after my little outburst."

"It'll be okay," Marinette said, placing a hand on his knee, "it doesn't matter too much if people think we are dating as long as we know it isn't true right? Our friends and family know, so who cares what everyone else says. We know we aren't together, and we know you didn't do anything to cause my breakup."

Adrien saw that he had a text from the Gorilla that he was there to pick him up, but Adrien ignored it. Should I say it... Adrien was conflicted, he wanted to tell her what he knew, that she was Ladybug, but he knew he shouldn't. He wanted to tell her that he was madly in love with her, but he shouldn't. "To be honest, I- I don't care what anyone thinks," he stuttered, unsure if he wanted to share what his mind begged him to say, "I just... find it torture that there are going to be news columns speculating if I am dating you, taunting me with the fact that I am not..." he was unsure if he should continue, but knowing that he could leave immediately pushed him to finish his thoughts. As he stood up, prepared to walk away into his car, he finished his sentence "because... I would really like to have you as my girlfriend."
